Relax on the Beach

Tucked away between Grayton Beach and Santa Rosa Beach, Blue Mountain is a hidden gem in 30A. The name likely originated from when early Spanish explorers initially sailed by the coast. They noticed tall, blue hills along the beach, which were actually dunes covered in stunning blue lupine flowers, which are indigenous to this area. Today, it has grown into a thriving coastal environment for locals and tourists. It is possible to avoid some of the hustle and bustle of other tourist spots when you visit Blue Mountain Beach. If you're looking for quiet relaxation in a scenic environment, this serene Atlantic Ocean is the place for you.
Explore the Timpoochee Trail

Blue Mountain Beach is located at the five-mile marker along the Timpoochee Trail. This casual 19 mile pathway runs along scenic 30A, so you can explore the area on a leisurely stroll, jog, or bike ride on the wide paved bike trail. It's a great place to get some fresh air and enjoy the sights and sounds of 30A, including a stunning view of Big Redfish Lake nearby. If you didn't bring a bike, you might rent one at Big Daddy's Bikes and Beach Shop next to the health food store. The trail passes by thousands of acres of natural forests, sugary sand dunes, beautiful beaches, and many other coastal treasure. A charming covered bike bridge near one of the lakes marks the western entrance to Blue Mountain Beach. Besides getting great exercise and experiencing the gorgeous scenery, many bikers like to stop at picturesque coastal villages along the way to grab a bite, have a drink, or go window shopping.
