Gibson was easy to book but the process to get to your room was not clear at all they assume you have been there I had to find a maintenance worker to help us find the right elevator. Need to make the directions clearer."

The location of this property was fantastic. Love we didn’t have to cross a road to get to the beach. Great amenities. However, it was spotless. I killed 3 bugs. The guest bedroom’s sink faucet was about to fall off. The whole unit could use some updates in the bathroom. Overall, we had a great visit. "

The place was organized and clean but the ice machine wasn’t working, and there were roaches on the kitchen cabinets �� every time I was using a cup and any dish from the kitchen I had it to wash it due to roaches there. "Excellent stay!
It was an amazing place to stay! Super clean, spacious, and especially loved the bunk beds. Balcony had great furniture with plenty of chairs & pool was huge! Overall, a great stay! Only two suggestions would be a way to lock the door in the bunk room so the kids can’t just open it & more than 2 key cards for entry to pool, room, and beach. "

"Great Beach view
Wonderful! The location of the condo is right on the beach with great balcony view of beach. Personal elevator to condo was such a plus! Loved views from both master bedrooms. Beach chairs included in unit, but would be nice if they were the more common Tommy Bahama-type chairs that recline. Chairs very basic and some were high and not low beach chairs. Sofa in living room not very comfortable. But overall, we loved the condo! "

Beautiful unit; a bit worn, but clean and comfortable with a location that can’t be beat! Fabulous views, really nice en-suite bedrooms, well stocked kitchen (but bring your own dishwasher detergent and coffee filters!), and wonderful balcony with full view of beach, ocean and daily dolphin visits! The common area is also super: huge pool, hot tub, really pretty garden playground, beach bar/grill and soft, clean, white sand. Gibson Beach rentals is extremely professional and responsive. We highly recommend them and this unit!"

"Great location, but dirty.
The location of the rental was awesome, but it’s such a shame that our rental was filthy. The cleaners were still in the Condo at 6pm when we had a 4pm check in. The showers, toilets, and floors were all noticeably dirty. This condo was not a cheap thing to purchase, I can handle a lot of things and be fine- but lack of cleanliness is not one of them. I had to clean a toilet before I sat my daughter on it, which is disgusting and unacceptable. I’ve stayed in cheaper condos, by the same rental company that were much better. The condo amenities like the pool and Sandbar were very cool, so hopefully others have a better experience when it comes to being able to get into the room on time and not having to walk around on floors with what looked like pizza sauce and sand. "

We had a wonderful stay at Destin, the apartment has just about everything you need, the location is perfect and facilities are fantastic. The view that you wake up to every morning is one of the most spectacular you will ever see.

The team at Gibson were always so helpful if we needed anything they were able to help fix it so quickly I can highly recommend them and we would stay here again when we return to the area"

"Wonderful Location w/ Beautiful Views
We had a great time staying at St Maarten 0906. The unit was perfect and very comfortable for my family of 6. The teenagers loved going to the pool, playing cornhole, and having the beach right at their fingertips. There was construction happening on one of the buildings that sometimes made the setting on the patio unpleasant, nothing to do with the unit itself. Having traveled and stayed in many rentals, I was a bit disappointed to purchase simple items; salt, pepper, dishwashing soap, and other basic condiments. Other than that, it was a great experience!! "

"100% will be back!!!
We booked this family vacation to celebrate my being 2 years cancer free!! about 20+ people ages 5-65 and every loved this resort!! the rooms were beautiful, walking distance to the beach and restaurants. Everything else was right across the street. Everyone enjoyed themselves and wants to come back! The room I had was spotless and plenty big for my family of 4 plus 2 grown nephews. we didnt feel we were on top of each other. "

"Perfect Family Getaway
It was my husband, 3 kids, and my parents and the condo was very spacious. There are basically 2 master bedrooms so 2 couples each have a king bed. The 3rd room had 4 beds (bunk). We had plenty of space, the unit was clean and had a spectacular view of the pool and ocean.

I loved the private elevator entrance and we never waited more than 2 minutes for the elevator.

The AC got very cold which we loved. Some condos never seem to get cool.

Would highly recommend. "

"Great vacation
Everything was great. I appreciated the app and that was very helpful. The fact that we received texts to make sure all was ok was a great personal touch. I will say that everything noted that a personal tent could be used however we were told by the beach service we could not, even behind their tents. I was disappointed but it did not ruin my vacay. The TV in the den is quirky but it worked. All the others were fine. I was completely impressed with the cleanliness. I do believe the condo could use a little attention in terms of updating."

"I would not rent from Gibson but I would rent on the property
It started out very bad, we were unable to get into our condo. My husband was stuck in the elevator and I was stuck in the lobby. Our condo was on 9th. When calling Gibson for help the answer I got was hopefully we will get over their this evening!! Really!!!! Thank goodness for the people on staff the guard saw what was going on and maintenance came over and let us in. There is no way we would have gotten in with out there help because the dead bolt was on the door we were suppose to use! I called because we had one key when we were suppose to have two keys, they again were going to get on it when my husband checked the next day because we didn't hear anything. He was told someone tried to drop a key off but I wouldn't let them in!! Really??? I ask for a key and then I won't let you in to drop it off?? Honestly??? I called and asked who was working on Sunday and they would not tell me because I wanted to report her by name! I don't take kindly to someone telling such a thing about me! We needed a key to the mailbox it took well over a week and 3-4 calls to Gibson. The management brought us a key, we learned quickly if we needed something to ask them. They were very friendly and so very willing to help! We had to resort to them because the toilet leaked, it was the only time that someone came right away. We had to listen to 5 days of jackhammering 5 full days! On the 4th day we called - what a mistake! There's nothing we can do about it! We always heard call us if you need anything, yet when we called they could do nothing about nothing!! Except the toilet that leaked! Topper was when we were told we had to be out by 10am on 1/31/20 and we get a notice telling us we had a checklist to go through for checkout on 2/1/20! So we had 5 days we had to get out for the day because of jackhammering, trust me it was extremely loud. It's not good for someone who suffers from migraines! Paid for 1/31/20 when we really should have been able to stay until 2/1/20! "

"Great Family Stay
The condo was roomy, perfect size for us, and it was very comfortable for our stay. Parking was convenient to the elevator, so getting to the condo was easy and quick. The view was amazing and can’t be beat. We felt like, for the money, the condo wasn’t in tip-top shape. Boards were coming off the cabinets, the grout was very dirty and sloppy in some areas, the rug had stains on it, and there was no inside security locks. The sliding door didn’t lock (but was way too heavy for a child to open), the service door in the bunk room didn’t lock from the inside, and the main doors coming into the condo didn’t lock. We know that others can get to this floor because we were on the elevator and got stopped at other people’s floor.
But overall, we had an excellent family vacation and enjoyed our time at Silver Shells. We really appreciate the staff at GBR checking in with us to make sure we could get in since we were running behind at arrival. Excellent customer service!"
