"Pilot House 328- Spring Break 2023
Pilot House 328 was perfect for the trip my daughter and I took over Spring Break. The size was perfect as it was just the 2 of us; location was great, and management was very quick to answer any questions we had. We had plenty of activities right outside in Baytowne Wharf; Jolee Island was a short walk and the tram allowed us to travel to additional locations without the need to drive, search and pay for parking. Overall, this was a great experience. All staff- whether it be within Pilot House; local cafés; those working the activities within the resort or the tram driver- we very pleasant and helpful. Definitely a place we will visit again!"

"Fun Location
We enjoyed our short stay at Pilot House and really took advantage of the fun location. Pilot House is just steps away from Baytown Wharf village, which includes lots of enjoyable restaurants and shops. Also appreciated the nice pool area."

"Convenient for Wine Fest
Rental was available about an hour before check-in time, which was nice. It's all the way at the end of the hallway on the main level of the Pilot House. Upon arrival, it appeared clean, but had a light bulb out. We were able to take one from the bathroom fixture to replace. It's very dark in the room as it's a lockoff and is technically only a bedroom and bathroom. I dropped my earring when taking it out and was horrified to look underneath the DVD player and the beds. It was very dirty and looked like they hadn't cleaned underneath in a long time. Overall, not a bad unit, but definitely not as great as some of the other units I've stayed in. It was nice to be in the village for Wine Festival 2021."

"Good price and good location
This is perfect if you aren't planning to spend much time in the room. We were generally only in the room to sleep/get ready for the day.
Location is close to pool area/courtyard and the parking garage.
Watch out for bed closest to window as it has an uncovered, sharp edge perfect for catching your shin on, which my husband did. It required treatment with oral antibiotics as he developed cellulitis. That urgent care visit was not part of our plans. ;)
Overall great place and we would stay again but also rent the room adjacent for the kitchen amenities and a bit more space."

"Perfect location for walking to stuff in the village
This is a great location just steps from all the restaurants, night activities, marina, etc of Baytowne Warf. The studio is more aptly described as a hotel room, which was fine for us, as we just need a place to sleep. The one thing that would really improve this room would be getting rid of the bulky dresser and putting a long skinny dresser with enough surface area on top to have room to put stuff. The little area by the fridge is not even big enough for making sandwiches and filling up water bottles. We loved finding the door right next to the room that allowed direct acces to the garage and pool without having to walk the very long hallways. We didn’t use the shuttle bc leaving all the beach stuff in the car was easier and there is plenty of parking beachside right where the shuttle drops you off. We never left the resort for eating, as there are so many options. Really liked the free perks from Gibson and the apps. We love staying at Sandestin because we hate the Destin traffic. The resort is beautifully well kept and has so much to offer. Oh, and as others have mentioned, they definitely need more hooks for hanging stuff in the bathroom. This is a great budget friendly choice for those looking to stay at the fancy place, but not pay the fancy price! "

"Great Trip
The room was perfect for our needs. It has a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker - works great for a quick breakfast. Located at Baytowne- so you are convient to restaurants and low key night life without having to drive. The staff responded to any question very quickly."

"Snug-As-A-Bug-In-A-Rug ��
The room is a just cozy enough for 2 adults and 1-2 kids. Beds are SUPER comfortable. Bathtub is super deep if you like to take a bath. The price for this room was unbeatable and the rep I spoke to was super nice. Reservation process was super easy. Their downloadable app was very helpful!! The only downsides: no table or dresser. All your bags have to sit on the ground. (Unless the other bed isn’t in use.) There is one very small closet. And there is only 2 rolls of tissue provided and 4 towels. (We had to buy more tissue), and was glad I brought a few towels from home. The other thing, is this room is at the very end of 3-4 long hallways, which is a little inconvenient...We still very much enjoyed the place and would def stay again, but probably in a different room. The amenities at Baytowne Wharf were awesome. The sights and scenery are BEAUTIFUL!! "

"Good Alternative to More Expensive Options
Overall, a good experience with 1 thing to be aware of. The first - when I originally booked the reservation in early 2018, I thought I was booking a 2 bedroom 2 bath with a small living room. In April, I went back to the site and realized when I read other reviews (that complained about misleading info about the rental) that I only rented the adjoining room, so 1 room, 1 bath. Originally I think they had a floor plan image of the entire “combined” rental, but at this point it is shaded properly to show the smaller area your actually renting. It worked out for me because it ended up only being me that stayed there, but if I there were 4 people it would have been “tight”. It looks like the info about the size of the accommodation has been updated to be more obvious about exactly what you’re getting, so hopefully this is a non-factor moving forward.
The online/app check in / check out, key access was very convenient and worked without any problems at all. Overall, as long as you know you’re getting 1 room with 2 beds and a bathroom for a pretty inexpensive rate (for Sandestin), you should be satisfied."

"Cute, clean, but disappointing
First, I would like to say that the advertisement CLEARLY states the size of the condo. So not reading/seeing that is MY FAULT. However, I do not understand why one of the pictures even shows the ENTIRE condo but is "greened" out. Why not just show the section that is being rented? Also, why are there two pictures of the same beds with different comforters? This gives the idea that there are two different rooms with two additional beds! Very misleading!! The beds are also very noisy! We actually found a condo in Panama City where the owners offered us a 3rd night for only $50 so we left a day early just to be comfortable. This is not ideal for two adults with a 5 year old and 1 year old. As far as the location goes, the building is in a great location but the room itself is at the VERY END of the hall. My wife and I dubbed the walk as "the brown mile." I would strongly recommend to advertise only what is being rented and have CURRENT pictures of the furniture/beds."

"Pilot House 328
Was only disappointed in the fact that we did not have towel service/maid service. We were told if we wanted the towels to be changed we would have to pay $15.00 per day - also was told normally rooms have access to a washer/dryer but that our room did not have that access.
Room was far off in the corner and long way from elevator. No access to pool area from this room. Also other vacationers were loud and cursing at pool along with bottles of beer in the pool. No Hotel security on duty that we ever saw. We won't be back to this particular location."

"Very small but nice condo
We loved the Baytowne Wharf area and the location of the condo. However, it was very small and we didn't realize the actually size from the description before we arrived. There was only one mirror, no dresser or chairs, and really no extra room at all in the "condo". There is not a kitchen just a shelf area with a small fridge and a coffee maker. It would be more accurately described as a small studio rather than a condo. "

"Perfect Location!
Overall, it was a great stay. The unit was clean and the location was great. We rented our unit together with 330, so we had access to the patio directly from the joined unit. Otherwise, it would have been a bit of a walk to get to the pool. My recommendation is predicated on joining the units together. If you're not renting 330, I'd suggest choosing another unit."
