"Awesome!
Location was perfect away from crowds but not far from Kapaa. Grounds were perfectly manicured. House was very clean and well stocked with anything you may need.
The waves breaking and the sound of birds was so relaxing. The uncrowded beach was just a few steps away.
I can’t think of anything negative about this property.
We loved it and I hope to return one day. "

"WOW!!
If you are looking for a loud and busy resort type stay, it’s not here. However if you really want a place to chill in a clean and cozy cottage, got it! Wonderfully private home with what can only be described as a “private hawaii beach”. You will need a car to see the island and can always go looking for honky tonk yet come back to solitude for the rest of the day or night. Great rental..."

"Decompress Destination
Secluded little spot on beautiful grounds. Cottage was perfect for two and had all amenities needed. Peaceful with no sounds of traffic or people only sounds of birds and daily morning rooster wake up calls.
Large spiders outside of bedroom windows were a bit worrisome but the realized they kept bugs down and didn’t move the entire time.
We will definitely return and bring the family for a stay at the entire property. Mahalo. "

"Just what we needed!
This was a sweet place, perfect for two (and 2 kids if you have them). The location couldn’t have been better. Just steps from the beach, we had coffee out on the deck every morning, and a cocktail every evening. Very clean and accommodating! We will be back!!"

"A Special Place
Moloaa Bay is one of the nicest beaches on Kauai and barely accessible unless you stay there. Our cottage was clean, well appointed, and close enough to the beach that we went to sleep each night to the sound of waves. A peaceful week."

"Amazing location for a relaxing stay
We had the best time staying at this sweet house. The beach was literally a walk through the yard and you had a whole lovely beach to yourself. There were guests for half our trip in the main house (this is the guest house) but we never saw them, so the house felt very private. The beds were comfortable and the house was clean and had everything we needed. The upstairs loft was perfect for our teen boys although the futon needs to be replaced. It is not a viable sleeping option and is not comfortable to sit on either. We made a bed on the floor for them and that worked great. The location was remote enough that you felt alone in paradise but close enough to attractions and stores that we did not spend a lot of time in the car. The outdoor shower was fantastic and it was so easy to come straight from the beach and shower off before going into the house which kept the house free of sand (quite a feat with multiple people in and out). The first couple of days we drove to different beaches for snorkeling/swimming and then realized our beach at the house was better than any we had driven to (not really for swimming as it is dangerous in the winter months) but the alcove to one side had a rock barrier that was sheltered and I felt good floating and swimming in that area, plus there were lots of fish to snorkel and watch. The water was so perfectly clear and our weather was perfect for a November sunny vacation. We are already planning our trip back for next year!"

"Amazing getaway
Can’t say enough about this hidden gem. This was our first visit to Hawaii and we were looking for a secluded spot on the water. This vacation rental in Moloaa bay met all our expectations and thensome. Steps from your own private beach, option to stay in guest house or main house, host very responsive to our questions, grounds very clean, and driving distance to Hanalei bay and Kappa!! Beautiful sounds of waves crashing morning thru night. The guest house was the perfect size for the two of us and very clean with all your basic essentials in kitchen and linens!! We are definitely looking forward to coming back!!"

"Fabulous isolation!
We always favor sounds of nature and cool ocean breezes so this place was absolutely perfect! Far enough off the main road and on a dead end street so that there was virtually no traffic (only a few neighbors). Everything was clean and fresh smelling; even including towels which is an accomplishment in humid environments. Appliances were mostly new and two bedrooms even have a/c that cool and remove humidity which Colleen appreciated when drying/straightening hair. The beach is just about 100 paces away so it was fantastic to sit on the beach as the sun went down and the stars appeared. The bed was very comfortable and the sound of the ocean and the breeze through the trees serenaded me to sleep each night. Being able to cook meals was nice and they had almost every necessary gadget although we did buy a small rice cooker which we left for the next guests; enjoy! We'd rent this place again in a heartbeat and expect we will. "

"Great little house and location but not furniture and amenities
This nice cottage has a great location, nice view of the ocean, and a good kitchen. The gate lock was broken making the property less secure. The master bed was rock hard (not just firm). The foldout bed in the upstairs loft was ripped, old, lumpy, and hard. The cushions in the living room had mold spots on them (which had been tuned over to hide them) and need replacing. The PS3 was broken, the Roku was broken, and the TV was very difficult to operate. I'm glad the WiFi worked and we brought devices for the kids, because the cottage entertainment was useless. The air conditioning units were old and had no thermostats. They was a manual on and off button on each of the high up units. While we were there a construction company brought dump truck loads of rock to the property (maybe building a new privacy wall). The trucks were loud and came through many times a day. One day coming twice during my daughters nap time. Overall a nice place to stay, but needs some love and attention to make it worth the price tag. "

"Awesome location!
We have always stayed on the south shore of Kauai, but wanted a new experience. Originally, we were to stay in Hanalei, but the flooding caused us to scramble. We are very glad we did. The Moloa'a Bay Cottage is located twenty minutes from Kapaa and twenty minutes from Hanalei. The cottage is quiet and close to the beach so we could hear the ocean day and night. It is a guest cottage to a larger home and we look forward to staying in both with family sometime."

"Always A Winner
This island hideaway is perfect for a laid back getaway. It's also a great "base camp", providing easy access to all kinds of island activities. I've stayed here three times and can't imagine not staying here again."

We had a fantastic time in the Moloa'a Bay Cottage - amazing location right on the water, within 25 minutes both ways of great restaurants and all that. Plenty of space, great equipped kitchen (we cooked a good amount, lots of other rentals won't have enough cooking tools - not this place!), ACs that work super quickly, making it no problem to turn them off when you're out of the house. "

"Secluded, Relaxing Getaway
Moloa Cottage was ideally located in a secluded cove. It's location was everything we expected and more. The home itself was modest and the bathroom was a little out dated, but we'll take location over luxury any day. The living space was perfect for 2, but any more would be tight unless they are small children. The washer and dryer came in handy. The extra amenities such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, BBQ, Beach Chairs, Boogie Boards & the well equipped kitchen made our stay very enjoyable! We'd definitely recommend it to friends/family and can picture ourselves coming again. "

"Kauai Gem
If you prefer quietness and privacy, this is your spot. If you are looking for crowds, move on. Cleanliness is one of the most important things to me when traveling and this house exceeded expectation! Next would be condition/availability of items in kitchen and bath. We chose to cook in and enjoy the private beach (maybe 75 yards away). This kitchen had everything needed and, again, all items were clean and in working order. Gas grill spotless, coffee grinder works! Bath towels/cloths in great condition, not like they've been in use for years. Beach towels and chairs provided. If we are ever on Kauai again, we will return to Moloa'a Bay cottage. Just a side point, if you are wanting to eat out, most restaurants are around 20-30 minutes away. "

"Beautiful location, but some problems.
This property is well kept and in a beautiful rural beach location. The house was clean and comfortable, except for the problem of not having hot water!. We stayed for 6 nights, and despite calling the managers almost daily about the water, they had trouble getting a plumber who could fix the problem. We managed OK since the weather was warm and we took cool showers to wash. We also found that the house could have been a bit better equipped. For instance, the kitchen lacked a dish drainer and we needed to buy more toilet paper. But, overall, we enjoyed our stay very much."

"A hidden gem!
A beautiful, clean, comfortable, light filled, cozy cottage with great views just steps to a Robinson Caruso style beach, what more could we ask for? Off the beaten track, yet fairly easily accessible to the north and east shores.
There is, however, new construction next door and no covered outdoor deck area/furniture which may bother some, but not us. This cottage met all of our more important needs, and we had that wonderful beach to escape to. Loved it! "

"What is not to love?
This is our second stay at the bay cottage. We obviously return because we like it. As far as the other numerous houses are rented in Hawaii and Maui this one has the least amount of extras for guests. Obviously guests leave behind snorkels, masks, games, reefs shoes etc. and they can at least be left for guests to use. The biggest change you can make to the house is just to add some decoration. Any type of decoration would be an improvement. I mean come on not even one cheap print mounted on the wall?"

"Paradise
If you're looking for a quiet (except for the chickens) off the beaten path place to stay, this is it. Very secluded, clean and no more than 100 yds to the beach. This home shares the property with the large estate home, but while we were there, we had the place to ourselves. The bay is beautiful but not the best place to swim. Luckily, your 10 minutes from beaches, Kapaa, 15 minutes from Princeville and 30 from Hanalei. If we go back to Kauai, this is where we will stay. "

"Quick review
Hi, I was a guest here at the Moloaa Cottage and my experience was very nice except for the very annoying neighbors who drove their vehicles at incredibly fast speeds dangerously on the the one lane private driveway that dead ends, typically at all hours of the night. I appreciate the cleanliness of the cottage and the nice ammenities including beach chairs and boogie board. I would return and recommend my friends to try it out, especially if the rude neighbors would extend the same politeness as we extend to them."

"Dream Cottage
The cottage was beautiful and clean. Just a few things a clean freak like myself would add to the list...fan blades, around the washing machine floor and hand wash the glasses and utensils. The staff (cleaning and reservations) was very gracious and helpful. Making sure that we didn't leave any crumbs on the counters was necessary to keep the little ants from over taking the kitchen counter. It was a little difficult to find the turnoff at night so we tried to be back before dark. We would have appreciated enough T.P. and garbage bags to last the week. Perhaps directions to the nearest recycling bins. Directions for garbage pick up, the gate and laundry could have been more clear. The ocean is fierce this time of the year so we ventured down to Poipu every day for sun and swim. The house, beach, and area were so beautiful that we will plan to stay here again in the summer months. The sounds of the ocean, wind, rain and animals were wonderful to fall asleep to. VERY secluded. Make sure you plan ahead for meals. Everything closes early and there isn't much nearby. The Juice Bar on the main road is great but stops serving at 4:30pm. Wish we were still there!"

"A great place!
This was our first time to Kauai and this cottage was the perfect place for our 3 week stay. It was perfectly located and on a quiet beach/cove. The rental manager was very good and helped us (on our first night) when a tsnuami warning was given, and we had to evacuate to higher ground. Many thanks to her!
At the end of each day of exploring Kauai, we were swimming in our cove/bay. It was beautiful! We will be back!! "

"Moloa'a Bay Cottage
This cottage was ideal for our family of four. We will definitely go back. The beach is just a few steps away and is a beautiful uncrowded cove. There is a nice reef that offers great snorkeling -- lots of fish and interesting rock and coral formations. For those wanting to body surf, you can drive about 5 minutes down to Anahola Beach and get your fill there.
The cottage has all the amenities one could want. It could use a bit of decoration on the walls and a larger couch to lounge on. But overall it is a great place."

"Best Kept Secret at Moloa'a Bay
I hate to let the cat out of the bag on this property for fear I will not be able to rent it when I want to come back and visit, but after staying 28 days I have to save up some money for another round so hope someone else can enjoy the place as much as I enjoyed staying there. I stayed in the Cottage which was more than perfect for the 3 of us. We had lots of storage space and my daughter loved the loft area. She thought of it as her own treehouse area. All the appliances are new, there is an ice maker which is a lifesaver when hanging out at the beach, ice chest, beach chairs, beach mats and air conditioning. You don't need the air conditioning but it is nice to have if you like the AC on. There is a large yard and you have direct access to the right side of the beach meaning that the ocean is calmer and you can snorkel on this side of the bay that is in the summer. Moloa'a Bay is my favorite place on the island besides Tunnels. Thanks for having such a beautiful property and sharing it with the rest of us! "

"Moloaa Cottage Stay in Jan 2012
The Moloaa Cottage was PERFECT for my husband and I! Great location on the beach, and it so happened no one was renting the house at the time which also had a great location for a larger group. We found the cottage location was great for access to both the North side of island, east side and the south, which we did not hesitate driving to any. We would definitely stay again on our next trip to Kauai. There were no beach chairs, as noted, but we purchased beach mats, which worked well when visiting other beaches. "
