"Great location...communication could've been much better.
The location of this property is awesome! However, I have NEVER experienced having my car towed and did not appreciate it occurring while on vacation. We brought two cars, there was a parking pass for one. There is NO WHERE ELSE TO PARK THE 2ND CAR OVERNIGHT IN THE AREA... I messaged the property manager the day I arrived. He said "OK, I'll see about getting another pass for you tomorrow." Then at 10PM, one of the other guests knocked on my door and informed me that my car was being towed. The tow truck driver had pushed my car our of the space and proceeded to tow my car out of the lot. I ran after him. I informed that I spoke with the property manager, he said he needed $165.00 cash, I paid him. He literally dropped my car in the middle of the street and drove off, not getting out of the car once. I messaged the property manager, who informed, there is a sign posted and cars get towed. It would have been nice for him to warn me that there would be a tow even though we had discussed the situation earlier. I found another parking pass in one of that drawers. No issues after that. I feel that the lack of communication about the potential towing appears to be predatory in nature. Otherwise, I think the communication on this subject would be better. Please Please Please....communicate this issue better. "

"Would stay here again
The property was very clean upon arrival. All the beds were very cozy. It was great having a kitchen to make our own food. The dishwasher saved time on me having to do my own dishes. Everything was just as pictured very pretty. Only complaint I have is the full bathroom sink would not drain (we just used the downstairs sink) and my husband was able to grill the first night but then it ran outta gas right in the middle of our second day and he had to finish everything on the stove. Others wanted to use the grill as well and had called but it wasn't changed before we left. The washer and dryer were small so it would take 3 loads to wash beach towels and bathing suits for our family of 7. Super close to the beach only 2 blocks up! Parking kinda sucked as we have a suv but we didn't use it much while there! But all in all it was really nice and will definitely be back next year!"

"Great location-unit and amenities were lacking
When my two kids decided to each bring a friend with them we gave up our hotel for the Modena for the extra beds and the kitchen. Location was good, just two blocks from the beach with the convenience of a grocery store within walking distance. Unfortunately there were no towels for us, there was a set of sheets for the pull out couch, but no other bedding. Once the couch was pulled out it was not fit to sleep on, stained in such a manner I gave two of the kids the king bed and took the couch myself so it could be slept on w/o being pulled out. There was a dead cockroach upon arrival but that can happen. The back area had a structure around the a/c that was rotted to the point that safety was a concern. The trash piled up pretty high in the back before pickup. Don't know that this was worth money but the location was great and it was rather spacious with a nice kitchen and convenient location."

"Beach rental 2021
The house was nice but there where 2 things that we didn't like. The pull out sofa bed was diety and the hot water ran out so fast not everyone could take a shower 3 adult 3 kids. The back porch table needed to be fixed one side was rotten, but it still worked good for us. The floors where very noisy could hear everyone walking upstairs. Loved the location was very close to beach. Parking was tight especially if you have a truck or large suv very little parking on street. "

Very clean. Enough space for family if 5 kids and 2 adults. Location to beach and supermarket, within blocks. Will definitely return. Management very helpful and professional.

I arrived to a dirty property in which the furniture was many years older than the picture. The downstairs toilet didn't work and they never fixed it. No parking pass available. Lights didn't work. TOTAL DISASTER."

"Disappointing
Rotted wood deck, exposed electronic wiring, rusted HVAC vent, some cockroaches, dirty moldings, door handles, overflowing outside trash cans, untrimmed grass, weeds in flower beds. The kids even complained. I tried to put the best face on things. "

"Nothing Luxurious About This Property
I booked this unit for family members coming to town. Location was amazing and very convenient to the oceanfront (within walking distance). We checked in on a Tuesday and on Thursday had a maintenance man looking into the plumbing. There were three units all on the same plumbing line and all were experiencing issues. The maintenance man was rude and refused to do anything regarding the issues with the bathroom. There were 8 guests in the unit and being down one bathroom was inconvenient but we made the decision to not use the downstairs bathroom because it continued to get backed up. On Monday the downstairs toilet was spewing raw sewage into the unit. It soaked the rug in the main living area and made it to the sofa bed (the pullout bed touched the floor when folded in). The same maintenance man came to assess the situation and was again rude. He blamed us, the kids and housekeeping for it backing up. The toilet was not being used when this happened. No kids (who are all over the age of 10) put anything in the toilet as suggested and were all upstairs at the time. The housekeeper, Stacy, was great. She responded immediately and was very apologetic even though it was beyond her control. She was very accommodating as well. She suggested moving us to another unit so it could be dealt with and cleaned appropriately. The maintenance man scoffed at this idea stating "they can stay here. There is no issue and no reason to move". IT WAS RAW SEWAGE!!! We did end up moving to another unit and checked out as scheduled the next morning. The green shag-like rug was removed from the unit and left outside to dry out. It should have been thrown away after soaked with sewage water. The dryer was a fire hazard as it had no lint trap and was not vented; master bedroom ceiling fan did not work (if it did, there were no pulls, switches, or remote to operate it); AC didn't work on last day. On a positive note, Brandon and Stacy were very pleasant and helpful

"Perfect Vacation
I stayed with six of my friends for four days and it was perfect. The house was clean and a great size to give us our own space. It was stocked with all the amenities that we needed too which is always a plus. The community within the rentals were also a great mix of families, couples, and groups of young adults. The location of the rental is why I loved it so much. You can walk a block or two to everything: the beach, the boardwalk, the grocery store, liquor store, restaurants, arcade, mini golf. These are just a few of the Places nearby. I ran into a slight parking situation and when I called the rental management staff they answered immediately and helped solve the problem within minutes. So helpful and pleasant to work with. I would definitely love to stay here again!!! "

"Nice Summer Getaway
the rental unit was in a great location, an easy couple minutes walk to beach and area stores. The unit was comfortable, nice having back deck/patio, the unit was not as "modern" as I had envisioned from the photos and could use some updates BUT the staff on site (Brad) was very helpful and gave us some good restaurant tips and was just a really friendly guy. The complex is small and grounds very well kept and had a nice feeling vs. large hotel complex. Would definitely recommend and stay again."

Modena was perfectly located and very nicely laid out.I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there.Kudos to the staff, they are lovely. The condo could use some sprucing up-paint and upholstery cleaning. Couple of things-the layout is really really tight. you can't open the drawers under the oven, or the downstairs bathroom door. I put a big roll of toilet paper on the fixture in the upstairs bathroom and it barely fit and stuck out too much. Every time I sat down I hit my elbow on the toilet paper holder. My biggest issue is having a marble floor at a beach house. 1st full day of my vacation, I slipped on the kitchen floor and broke my foot in 2 places."

"Holiday Vacation Stay
As a single traveler, I enjoyed my 8 days stay. The house was very roomy and comfortable that allowed me to work during the day and relax in the evening. My only concern is that the front door lock was tricky to open and especially to close. The place did have limited accessories, compared to other places that I have used. Overall, I would definitely use the place again if I was to visit Virginia Beach."

"Great Location, Great Space
The space was as advertised. Two bedrooms (great size and storage space), 1.5 baths (small bathroom) in a 2 story townhome. We were in a great location and did not have to drive ever to the beach or dinner. The only things lacking were basic kitchen/bath essentials. I would have gladly paid $50 more to have soap, paper towels, etc instead of having to get to a store immediately. The backyard was advertised as being able to put our dog back there, but there was no fence. The rug needs a cleaning. We had to ask for a broom because there were no cleaning supplies available to us. We would also have welcomed at least once someone to come in and tidy up/change our sheets. Again, even for a premium. When we had questions, we had to wait for an answer when we wanted answers "right now" but they were still responsive. "

The rental was in a great location! It was an easy walk to the beach and to the grocery store. In fact, we hardly had to drive anywhere! The rental was clean upon arrival. However, the garbage cans out back were overflowing when we got there, and weren't emptied until almost the end of our stay. Also, the frig filter needed replaced, and one of the tv's didn't have a working remote. Other than that, it was fine. "

"Great Before and While you are Staying, not good After
Experience was fine. The place is nice inside, however it is extremely hollow so all noise is loud and the washer and dryer are so loud you can't do laundry while sleeping. Location is nice since you are close to the grocery store. The beach is pet friendly so our dog had a great time. I wouldn't recommend this for kids though, we had our 3 and 4 year old there and like I said it is very loud inside."

"So So Experience
We were pleased with the location; however the Modena had some other issues we needed to deal with. Within our first two days, the front door handle became non-operational; so we needed to enter from the back of the building. We also has inconsistent hot/cold water in the shower. When we called to report the issue a repair person was sent to fix. He could not fix it that day and needed to come back a second day. Because we had our dog with us, we needed to make arrangements to be in the unit while the repair man was there working on the repairs. We thought the unit was a bit pricy for the finishes throughout the unit. Also, there were no cleaning products available, so we needed to go out and buy. The needed repairs hampered our stay. "

"Have a dog and need a Great Place to stay in Virgina Beach!
Great location and place to stay!We stayed at the Modena -2 floor townhouse with our dog - Kissy! The townhouse was clean, modern and spacious for all of us.
Location is right in the heart of Virginia Beach and safe to walk at night.
No complaints of noise from our neighbours or sourrounding areas.
The only snag we had, was not having the internet working during our stay!"

"Gorgeous Vacation Rental
My daughter and I recently spent a week at the Modena in Virginia Beach. We vacation at various beaches in Maryland, Virginia, and Delaware multiple times each year and both agreed that the Modena was by far the nicest rental we have ever stayed in. It looks just as it appears in the photos - modern, tasteful and very well maintained. We loved the lighting and textured ceilings (just a few of the important details that make this unit memorable). The building exterior and landscaping were also impressive. The unit was very clean when we arrived and Karen and her crew were very friendly, helpful and accomodating from the minute we arrived until we (sadly) pulled away at the end of our stay. The townhouse was a very short walk to the beach and boardwalk and we had everything we needed close by. If we return to Virginia Beach, there is no question that I would want to stay at Plaza 2700 again. "

"First timer at Virginia Beach
Overall I was happy, but this rental property is underconstruction which I was not aware before arriving. Wifi was not great, things in condo were done half fast for us renters. The workers were friendly but messy with their clean up. My family would stay at this facility again and owner and management wanted to accomadate us for our concerns."

The apartment is visually stunning and very close to the beach. The difficulties with the unit are in cleanliness and material condition in a few areas. Overall the family enjoyed the stay. The management team was extremely supportive. For the price I expected a bit more in finish. "

"Wonderful Modena
We had such a great time at the town house!It was clean,comfortable,easy to get around in.The beds were so comfy I wanted to stay there all day,but the weather was so perfect we just had to go to the beach wich was just such an easy wolk from our house.The HarrisTeeter store was just a block away.I felt like this house was home away from home!We look forward to next summer to stay agin!"

"Great location.
We rented the Modena for one week. The location was great and about 2 blocks away from the beach. Also very near to Harris Teeter supermarket. Townhouse was great and has all of the amenities listed on the add. The only small glitch we experienced was the fact that the cleaning crew had not properly cleaned the unit prior to our arrival (one trash can was still full and there was still a bit of sand on the floor, everything else was good). The property managers were on it straight away and the crew came back the next day to finish the job. Would highly recommend this property for a family vacation. "
