RESERVATION ALTERATIONS OPTIONS:
Guests cancelling less than 14 days to arrival may make a one time reservation date change for the same property, without a fee for the same calendar year, or renter may take a credit for a future stay at the same property, without a fee for the same calendar year. No rental refunds will be given for circumstances beyond our control such as planned or unexpected PG&E power outages, road closures, weather related issues or other “Acts of God”. When possible we will offer a one time reservation date change for the same property within the same travel season.

DAMAGE PROTECTION FEE: charges a $39 non-refundable damage protection fee. This fee protects guests for up to $500 in accidental damage that may include: stained bedding or linens; broken lamps, glassware and windows; damaged doors, walls or furniture; torn screen doors, etc. This fee does not cover normal wear and tear. After a guest’s departure and inspection of the home, management will notify the responsible party of any excessive damages including photos, a description of the damage and an assessment of the cost of replacing or repairing the damaged item that exceeds $500. Any cost over $500 required for this repair or replaced item will be charged to the credit card on file. We encourage guests to do a thorough inspection of the property upon arrival and notify management of any existing damages, stains, or broken items so as not to be held responsible.

COVID Related Cancellation - Cancellations made by either the guest or for any stays made after March 14, 2020 due to COVID-19 related circumstances such as: illness, transportation disruptions and cancellations; travel advisories and restrictions; health advisories and quarantines; changes to applicable law; and other government mandates—like evacuation orders, stay at home orders, border closures, prohibitions on short-term rentals, and shelter-in-place requirements will not be considered an extenuating circumstance and our cancellation policy will apply as usual. "Stunning location overlooking the ocean
This house has amazing views from every room, and a nice deck from which you can look at the water, grill some food, and listen to the waves. If you are a family or two couples, be aware that the second bedroom is upstairs in an open loft, so there is no aural privacy up there. The kitchen was very well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, and linens, but bring your own coffee, tea, cooking oil, and other basics.From the driveway there are trails down to the lovely beach.Off of the trail are steps that lead up into town, where there is a very good supermarket that has everything you might need."

"Unbeatable view
This place has an unbeatable view, the priory was very clean, but not suited for a family as there is only 1 bathroom. I didn’t like that many times when we tried to leave or come in the property the neighbor had a gate that required you to get out and unlock a lock with a combination, not very welcoming or convenient. Otherwise, our stay was good."

"Lovely
The views are stunning and the decks were easy to enjoy. The kitchen is full of many options to cook at home, and both beds are very comfortable to sleep upon. We did experience walking into many cobwebs in the upstairs bedroom. One could tell no one had not lived there for a while nor cleaned it. The newly renovated bathroom is a little wonky. The sink and countertop do not line up; the shower door does not close all the way, and when standing in the shower, the floor feels as if it will give out. My family and I enjoyed the home and the seclusion it gave us for the week. It is not perfect and there is room for improvement, but enjoyable for a short trip."

"Respite from Covid and Year 2020
Our 6 day stay was just what we needed. The house's huge windows afforded us breathtaking views of the harbor and cove. We especially enjoyed dining in the sun room and out on the deck weather permitting. We packed lunches for exploring the beautiful nearby beaches and hiking trails. On cool mornings and evenings the gas fireplace kept us cozy, while the electric heater below the bathroom towel bars dried and warmed our towels, a luxury of staying on the coast. We look forward to our next visit."

Hidden on a hillside among tall firs, yet close to town, this home was extremely cozy and peaceful. If the fog never clears you can watch the sea through dramatic, tall windows and keep warm in the sunroom or by the gas fireplace. "A Place to Restore Your Soul
My husband and I traveled here for the 2021 Memorial Day weekend and arrived around 7 PM on the preceding Thursday evening. The moment I stepped out of the car, I could hear the surf below, and I instantly felt lighter. Once we stepped inside (shoes off) we were met with the wall-to-wall, floor to ceiling view of Trinidad Harbor through the tall pines in the golden late afternoon light. This place shines with the patina of many years of loving care and is very well maintained. It's a generous space, and we wanted for nothing, and with that view, there's nothing to want! The website represents very well, but doesn't do it justice. The kitchen was well-equipped, with some basic cooking ingredients to get you started, decent pots, pans and utensils, and some plastic wrap, foil and paper goods. The bathroom is recently remodeled and has its own heater under the towels for a toasty treat after showering and lots of drawer space. The bed is furnished with a great mattress and quality linens. No drawers in the master bedroom, but a nice little set of shelves and hangers worked fine. The place was QUIET with only the steady sighing of the gentle surf, the chant of the distant buoy bell and local birdsong to lull you into complete serenity and joy. The art pieces make you appreciate the wider world out there while enjoying a private retreat in one of the most beautiful places on earth.
Don't miss the easy hike down to Old Home beach below the property. Enjoy the many-featured gas fireplace. Wifi was fast with a good signal. Easy parking and you can turn around to drive in and out. Murphys market is about a 2 minute drive away, as is Headie's pizza, and the Beachcomber Cafe is just a little beyond with healthy offerings that actually taste amazing. Plan ahead and reserve a table at Larrapin's for a special treat. You should go here!"

"Above the sea and into the woods. Two great locations in one!
My husband and I and my adult son stayed in the home. We loved it that the home was located in the woods but also right on the ocean. Best of both. All of the windows have awesome views but the deck is the place to be. It opens up to a full panoramic view of the coast. Once inside, the home feels a lot larger than it is. The kitchen was well equipped. We found it to be very private yet very convenient to the highway. We look forward to staying there again!"

"Nice but overpriced rental
My wife and I are regular visitors to Trinidad and have rented up to half a dozen different houses. This house has a nice view of the harbor. For the price, however, it is dated inside. The BBQ didn't work properly and the heat stove remote didn't work (managers fixed them). We flipped a circuit breaker running a popcorn popper and microwave at same time. We stayed two weeks and there was absolutely no place to put our clothes away (dressers). We couldn't operate TV, notified management and they ignored us. We know from experience that there are many nicer rentals for the money. This property relies on the views for marketing. "

"Amazing View!
When we first walked in, the view was the first thing that wowed us. Then we noticed the fireplace, with a nice fire going and soft music playing. Very nice welcome after driving all day. In the evenings, we would sit on the deck and watch the boats, listen to the birds and just relax. Our time spent at this lovely home is something we will never forget. Very close to the Redwoods and Patrick’s Point. Also conveniently located to good restaurants and a grocery store. Highly recommend! "

"It was Wonderful!

Great house, very comfortable, great location, private, but also close to town, the best views, a great outdoor deck, lots of daylight. A house where you want to spend time. The kitchen could be a bit better equipped for guests who want cook & the tv remote doesn’t really work, but these are minor issues, it’s a really nice house. Good location for Redwood National Parks. Lots of good cafes in Arcata & the Co-op is a great grocery store. We also rented this house 10 years ago, same good experience then."

A very efficient kitchen. We prepared all the meals for four. We mostly stayed in the house to enjoy it. Trail to the beach is approximately 500 yards from the �� on the left side of the driveway. We missed it following the direction. Jonna was very accommodating. Thank you."

Loved the home from the moment we entered. Warm and inviting with a wonderful view, in all directions. Quiet, Romantic, Private....just what we needed!!
A couple suggestions..Place the address, 30, at the entrance to the driveway. We arrived at night and tough time locating the driveway. Leave the porch light on to help locate the key box. Along with the key code, please leave the alarm code so the alarm can be is very loud. Minor things , but will help renters locate and enter smoothly.

I will repeat that we loved the home. We will be back as soon as time will allow. It is what we look for in this busy world....peaceful beautiful calm location, Thank you for renting this wonderful home."

"Beautiful NorCal Respite
My husband, son and I stayed here for my son's fall break as we wanted to be near the redwoods to hike but also we like being by the beach. This house was perfect! the views were unbelievable! The house was clean and well kept, within walking distance to the beach and very close to a grocery store and small restaurants. The only thing I might say about the house is that parts of it seem somewhat dated, the cupboards, countertops, closets, etc but not a deal breaker and otherwise it was perfect for our needs! the property managers were very helpful, no issues with our stay at all. "Room for improvement
A short narrative of directions would be helpful. Our GPS did not lead us to the cabin. The cabin sits way off the main road and is not clearly labeled. The key code was changed the day we arrived and not shared with us, until we called. Fortunately, we were still on the phone with management when the security alarm went off. The fireplace was not working, which was one of the reasons we booked this cabin. After several emails, management did address this issue with a credit. While it is important to have adequate vegetation when built on the side of a hill, some trimming would help the view. The proximity to local beaches and restaurants was very good. The cabin itself was clean and comfortable."

"Perfect Honeymoon Getaway
My wife and I stayed here as a homebase for hiking in the redwoods for our honeymoon. It was great.

The place was very secluded and separate from the rest of the Trinidad. It was close, but we didn't feel like any of our neighbors were on top of us. The views shown are extremely accurate and incredible. It was fun to watch the finishing boats work in the bay, and overall it was the perfect place to stay.

The managers were extremely responsive and friendly throughout the rental process and during our stay. If we're in the area again, I would happily stay there again. Regardless, I'd recommend this place to anyone staying in Trinidad. It's close enough to everything, but still feels like you're on your own."

"Wonderful Cozy escape the whole family enjoyed!
When I looked up rentals in Trinidad, this was the first and only listing that I looked at and I am so glad that I went for it! Driving up to the unit felt like driving through a tropical jungle and felt very secluded and private. It was late at night so we did not see the views until the next morning. And what incredible views to wake up to!! The convenience of a little grocery store and gas station not even a minute away was nice as was the access to the 101. We spent 3 nights here and our days included a variety of hikes and drives that were all within a half hour in either direction of this location. The place was clean and comfortable and I am certain that we will stay here again! "

"Peaceful getaway
The area of Trinidad itself is a very quaint, quiet place to spend some time. The house was clean and easy to be in. The view is tranquil and interesting. There is an endless amount of places to visit, trails to hike, beaches to walk, truly a fabulous way to spend a week. The only difficult part was finding the house in the dark in a rain storm. There is no sign nor indication of where the house is from the road. But, once we found it, the fun began."

House needs a good cleaning and renovations throughout. The inside is old and worn out. Pictures were taken a long time ago. The coffee maker glass pot had mold in it. Some of the dishes were also dirty. There is not enough light to read a book at night in the living room. Use some of the rental income and fix this place up...."

"Love Sea Cliff!!
I knew from the great pictures we were going to love it. But in person it was better than great! We spent most of the daytime either on the awesome deck or on Indian Beach which was the beach right below Sea Cliff. The beach had it all, rocks, driftwood, tide pools and no waves. I love the little town of Trinidad. It's a beautiful place to unwind and see the environment of the ocean and the Redwods. What more could you want?"

Sea Cliff is a wonderful place with one of the best views along the north coast. Views of the surf, seagulls, seals, otters, and- in season, whales. A short walk to town and to Indian Beach. House is clean, well maintained appliances, washer, dryer, full kitchen, and BBQ grill. Moonstone Grill and Larupin Cafe two high quality restaurants nearby, plus a few casual dining options in town. Katy's fish market and Murphy's grocery store in town have all you need to do meals at home. Lots of great hikes in the area, good fishing, surfing, and kayaking. It is cool here (50 - 65 degrees) and most mornings have fog that clears off by early afternoon."

Reid and Jonna were very responsive in helping us with minor issues related to new batteries needed for fireplace remote and a minor issue with TV reception. My husband and I traveled to Trinidad with our two children ages 11 and 10. The house worked out perfectly for us. It was comfortable, well-appointed and very clean. I rarely think a property is clean-this house exceeded my expectations in that regard in most ways. Amazing views and convenient location to explore the surrounding areas. The loft worked fine for our kids at this age, but as can be seen in photos, affords no privacy to those in loft or those in living room. Photos are pretty true to the experience of the house, and if anything, the home feels even better than pictures convey. There's a pleasant mid century, artsy vibe and fantastic views throughout. "Slice of paradise.
Private location, but convenient enough to the local grocery store. You could walk it, but there are no sidewalks so we drove the 2 minutes into town. I loved waking up on my honeymoon to the sound of the waves. The clad cookware worked well as did the grill though there are good eats nearby. The place was 99% clean and stocked with lots of night lights which helped with being in an unfamiliar place. The gas fireplace was great too.

We ended up arriving in the dark, so we accidentally pulled into the neighbor's since I couldn't see the address number at the final fork in the driveway. Stay to your right, don't go up the hill at the end.

We went hiking in the National and State Redwood forests as well as nearby park paths, so I'd say the rental location in Trinidad is good since the small towns closer to the parks were a little sad and desolate looking.

We would come here again for our anniversary."

My only suggestion would be the investment in new bed linens, including duvet covers and pillow covers that can be washed for every new guest. The price per night of this rental really should include immaculate, upscale bed linens."

"BEAUTIFUL!
This house is in the most beautiful location and the views cannot be beat. We arrived late at night so it was difficult to find the exact location but definitely manageable. It's set back in the woods a bit and is right over the ocean. The trail to the beach is a quick/fun walk. Everything is way better than the pictures! They do not give it justice.

The inside of the house is gorgeous as well. Extremely clean and all nice/updated appliances. The only thing that I felt was missing is blinds over the window in the bathroom. I understand that it's fairly secluded but I still don't feel comfortable using the bathroom with the blinds open, haha.

We went on multiple gorgeous hikes on our stay, road horses through the redwoods, and caught some salmon on a charter fishing trip. The house was located close to many awesome things to do, restaurants, and breweries. We also got engaged right on the ocean on our first morning :)

I would stay here again and recommend it to ANYONE visiting this area!"

This cozy spot has the best view of the harbor, amazing night time stars and is just minutes from Trinidad proper. You can walk down a (steep) trail and be almost on your own at the beach. It is best for a couple as the second bed is in the loft and not too private. It is dated and has very noisy floors but well cared for. Kitchen was well equipped. The beds and furniture were very comfortable. Quiet although property on the upper hill is under construction/remodel so I'd check on the status of that project before booking. The constant nail gun our last morning was less than pleasant. We'd definitely book here again."

this was a our third time at this house and we love it. but, There is a problem with the toilet. after it flushes, the water keeps running -- some times continuously, and other times off-and-on. the part of the handle that is inside the tank get hung up on the float valve.

"Perfect little holiday home
We stayed at Sea Cliff for two nights on our road trip from San Francisco to Portland and it was a real delight. The house is beautifully designed with quality fixtures throughout and the view was stunning. We were a bit surprised by the cool foggy weather (early August) but it just added to the atmosphere and the fire kept us warm. We visited Patrick's Point State Park on our rest-day which was very scenic. We cooked ourselves in the evenings just to spend more time in the house and to enjoy the view."

"Paradise in the Forrest!
We arrived at 10:30pm on August 15th and stayed until the 20th. The property is difficult to find and once you locate the small six inch sign on Scenic Drive the home is approximately 1/8th of a mile down a gravel road with no signs or lights. Do not arrive at night! We eventually located the property with help from the staff. The property sits in the forest on a cliff over looking Trinidad Bay. There is no access to the beach below. However, it is only a short five minute drive to reach the beach. The view is spectacular although it was foggy and overcast everyday and we were told by locals the foggy weather was typical for the summer. The home is well appointed, the kitchen is fantastic and the bathroom is very nice, the bed and pillows are comfortable and the home was spotless clean. The furniture however needs to be updated, the cushions around the fireplace seem to be at least a decade old and extremely worn and there is only one small TV in the entire home and very basic cable, no premium channels, ESPN, HBO, Showtime, Cinemax, etc. We went salmon fishing on an ocean charter and caught our limit. The Pacific Northwest ocean is not for the faint of heart, we were in 8 to 10 foot seas it was very rough but we still had an awesome time. We also took the Jet Boat Tour of the Klamath River, awesome! Even considering the draw backs of the property we will definitely return. The staff Desiree, Jonna and Robie are total sweethearts, very friendly and very nice and helpful. They are a class act! Hope you enjoyed my review. "

"Just what the doctor ordered!
This house was perfect for a couple wanting to relax, and not be bothered by noisy neighbors. The house is very private. The deck is a perfect spot to sit, relax, read a book and have a glass of wine. The view is amazing. The house is a bit smaller than we thought, but still perfect. The only suggestion I would make is that the kitchen faucet be replaced/repaired. It was very loose, and black grime came out from underneath it whenever we used it, which was wasn't too appetizing. That being said, the rest of the house was in outstanding condition. The kitchen was well stocked."

"Wonderful Stay at Sea Cliff
I rented Sea Cliff with my boyfriend and parents for three nights in late April, and we were blown away by the house — it's a beautiful, bright, warm home, and what a location! Trinidad is a wonderful base from which to explore Redwood National and State Parks and the Lost Coast region. The home really is perched on a cliff, and every room and deck has an amazing view. Indian Beach at the base of the cliff is an easy walk down a trail that splits off from the home’s driveway. We really enjoyed being able to cook together at the house, and regardless of the weather the soaring windows of the living room always provided a great view. Two things to note: First, the house is located much closer to town that it appears on Google Maps, so make sure to follow the provided directions, not your GPS. This was great for running to the store, but a bit of surprise. Secondly, the folding door to the bedroom doesn't provide much acoustic privacy from the main living room (and sleeping loft, which we found to be quite good sized), so though it easily sleeps 4, the home may not be best choice for multiple couples. "

"Great location, but house needs items and privacy...
Awesome views. But, there are ZERO curtains in the (all floor level) bathroom, front door and kitchen. One afternoon, without notice, two people came up to the side window and checked the trash cans. It startled us to hear a trash lid "bang" on the side of the house. (Being an armed retired police officer, it was not a good idea on their part). Again, no curtains to stop them (or any of the locals) from looking in, and no ahead call or notice. Good thing we weren't newlyweds (if you know what I mean). We had to use pillows to block off the bathroom window for privacy. Also, the teflon cookware was TERRIBLE. Old, teflon peeling/scarred cookware is not my idea of healthy cooking/eating. JMHO. Bring your own for safe cooking. Lastly, we noticed a pickup truck parked in the driveway one morning - were locals (with 2 dogs) using it to go to the beach (were they peeking in the front window? Who knows, no curtains...) All in all, its a decent house with great views. My girlfriend loved the ocean view... "

My husband and I had a beautiful stay at Sea Cliff. We saw sea lions and whales from the living room window and deck. The home was very accommodating and comfortable. We will definitely be returning."
