Prominence on 30A is home to a 5,000 sq. ft. resort-style pool surrounded by its own luxurious outdoor lounge area. It's complete with shaded areas, hammocks for lazy afternoon snoozes, a state-of-the-art fitness center, and an enormous pool deck. The neighborhood is also famous for its central gathering spot, known as “The Big Chill.” Prominence's town center is home to 30A shopping, dining, and live music performances.

Situated between Seagrove Beach and Alys Beach near the popular Watersound neighborhood, Prominence is located within a handy distance of the area's most enjoyable sightseeing and activities. At Prominence on 30A, you'll be within an easy bike ride of the beach's sugar-white sands and the gulf's sparkling waves. We're also located close to the area's greatest nature preserves and bike paths, as well as hotspots for outdoor recreation like stand-up paddleboarding, snorkeling, kayaking, hiking, and more.

Eat and Drink at The Big Chill.
At The Big Chill, food is at the center of families, friends, and festivals! With multiple places to choose from, there's something to please everyone in your group. From tacos and tequila, to wings, burgers and shakes, a stop here is quick, tasty and convenient, and comes with a side of entertainment at the outdoor amphitheater. The Big Chill is a great place to catch a concert, sporting event, or a movie on the lawn.

Prominence Beach Access Points
Beach Access to the West:

Deer Lake State Park - Deer Lake is the most popular and the closest beach access to Prominence and is located .5 miles away. While it is popular, there are a few things to keep in mind: There is a small parking area at the access (aprox. $3 for parking) Bathrooms are also available at the access. The walk froth parking area to the beach is a bit longer than most area accesses. IMPORTANT - Because this is a state park, and not a Walton County beach access, alcohol is not allowed. Beach service is not available at this location either.

Walton Dunes - Walton Dunes is about 2 miles to the west at the end of Beachfront Trail. This is a Walton County beach access with parking and short distance to the beach.

Santa Clara - Santa Clara access is a Walton County beach access located near Bramble Grove Road, about 3.5 miles to the west of Prominence. *This is the scheduled stop for the Prominence shuttle. Parking and bathrooms are also available at the Santa Clara access. If you take the tram, please note that the hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Beach Access to the East:

Gulf Lakes - The Gulf Lakes access is a Walton County beach access located about .5 miles to the east of Prominence. This is a small access and can be easily missed. Parking is not available, but makes for a great bike ride to the beach.

Sea Breeze - Sea Breeze is a Walton County beach access that is just past the Gulf Lakes access. Parking and bathrooms are not available at this access, however, there is a shower.
