"Would not rent this unit again
There was a problem with the ice maker leaking water out of the freezer before we arrived that required a restoration effort and the replacement of the carpet padding in one of the bedrooms during our stay.
This was not the unit we had initially reserved. The property management company was excellent in addressing the problems we encountered with the unit we were moved to during our stay. Stove burner knobs need to be replaced since you cannot read the markings on any of the knobs. There was no working vacuum cleaner for the carpets in the living room and bedrooms. There was a lot of construction activity going on at the property's location for the 2nd straight year. One of the 2 elevators was out of order for 8 out of 14 days during our stay. The property management company voluntarily issued a 15% credit plus tax in recognition of some of the issues we had with the rental of this unit. The property management company was excellent prior to and during our stay. "

"Not acceptable for the price
We did not have an overall pleasant experience. The unit was not clean to acceptable standards when we arrived (we purchased cleaning supplies and cleaned the bathrooms ourselves), the air conditioning did not work for the first 3 days, there is duct tape on the cabinets, the washer sounded like it was falling apart, my son got stuck in the elevator for 8 minutes, the pool is like bath water and not refreshing at all, and the cushions on the outdoor seating are mildewed and moldy.
I emailed Seashore immediately with photos of these issues and I called them. They stated the owner would contact me when he got a minute. I was sent an email stating that they would refund us $666.00 for the inconvenience, which hardly covers the 3 days that we had no air conditioning or the fact that I had to clean a condo that we paid $4,500.00 to rent!
This entire experience was awful and I will never rent from Seashore, or at Ocean One again. This building needs maintenance and TLC, especially considering the outrageous cost to rent these outdated units."

Our stay was great! There were issues with 311, I called on Sunday with a list of things. Your staff was prompt and called Monday morning and came that day to fix things up. We understand things happen, but your quick attention was the best."

"Yearly vacation spot
My family and I were a little disappointed in the lack of care for the condo. The stove needs to be replaced and set off the smoke alarm while pre heating. The paint on the wall has faded and needs to be touched up and there was a hole in the wall in one of the bathrooms. The screen door was also falling apart. With prices going up over s $1,000 from last summer I would hope the condo itself would reflect the cost, but it did not. "

Could use some updates with mattresses and more seating in living room. Was clean and in walking distance to eats and shops. Seashore Vacations was very helpful with planning our needs. Will continue using them for next Hilton Head vacations. "

"Great views and great location
As always Ocean One provides clean grounds and the best views and convenience to walk or bike to many locations. The unit itself was probably the worst that we have stayed at. It is a little run down examples:
*The master faucets all leaked unless you turned them super hard
*the back door handle was backwards and was hard to even open ( I fixed with a screwdriver)
*the kitchen utensils and pans were laking to say the lease ( I bought an oven mitt and a spatula )
* there was food on the balcony floor when we arrived
I am being picky yes but I have high standards at Ocean One since we have stayed there many times and never had even remotely close of an experience as this last one.
Will we stay again yes even hope to own someday and I will say our unit will not be as run down as this unit is.

"Wonderful location, unit is tired
While this unit is overall clean it is very tired and in need of basic maintenance. The location of this unit is amazing and is the only really redeeming quality of the unit. The exterior of the facility and the pool are immaculate."

"End of Summer vaca.
Love the location of Ocean 1. Close to beach and great pool. This condo seemed more shabby than the one we in last year. No toilet paper holders on wall and tubs very high with no grab bars."

"Needs an update
We were very disappointed in the condition of the condo! It really needs a lot of work! The carpets are old and dirty. The walls all need painting. There are holes where pictures use to hang, some electrical covers were missing. The living room furniture all needs replacing, the chairs cushions were horrible to sit in, all the cushions are completely flat and hard. The kitchen needs a good cleaning, dirty dishes in the cabinets, there was no frying pan or spatula to cook breakfast, the toaster is all dented. The bedrooms are all depressing and the bathroom doors are all water damaged.
It’s such a shame because we have stayed in other condos at Ocean One that are really nice for the same price.
However...the grounds are beautiful and the view from the balcony is amazing! The pool was also gorgeous! "

Creation location! Seashore Vacations was easy to work with during our stay. The rental was very clean.... But honestly, the unit could do with a complete overhaul. The fury was old and uncomfortable. The walls need patching and a fresh coat of paint. The carpet is old. Electrical sockets need to be covered. Unit would be great for teenagers but not my 80 year old parents who spend most of their time in the unit looking out at the ocean.....the unit was clean but needs care. Love the location!"

"Great Oceanfront Location
Very satisfied with the wonderful view of beach and pool from the 2 balconies.
Dissatisfied that nearly all walls/baseboards were needing either to be cleaned, touched up or completely repainted.
Especially dissatisfied with condition of the 2 bedrooms/bathrooms on the front entrance door side. Carpets were worn out and dirty in a few places, need to be replaced.
Toilet paper holders in bathrooms had been torn out of the wall and holes were not been repaired.

Condo in desperate need of updating. Chair cushions flat as pancakes. Carpet dirty and worn. Bugs were killed daily. Five forks for a three bedroom condo not adequate. Toilet tissue holder torn out of wall and sheet rock not repaired. Condo needs painting. Folding closet doors hard to open and close. This unit did not measure up to what we have been accustomed to at Ocean One. Great view of beach and ocean. Would not want to stay in this condo again due to condition of unit."

loved the location. ocean view, short walk to Colginy Circle. pool and grounds well kept. #311 was fine but in poor repair...all toilet paper dispensers broken, dishwasher did not work on arrival so dishware could not have been clean, needs paint and filler for many wall defects, etc. Seashore staff were very responsive to needs and requests."

Absolutely loved the ocean view but the unit is well beat and not worth the money.

No small frying pan

For a unit this expensive, no under counter kitchen lighting. Bugs in overhead lighting, gross.
Stove dials temperature setting worned off. Grills aluminum pans stained and looks like never replace. Cost about $7 for two pans to replace.
Cold water faucet in Master screatches at a high pitch until firmly turned off.
Kept waiting for a giant bug to crawl out. Honestly it was pretty clean, fridge nice, and Keurig a bonus and the best thing there.
Bedrooms furniture came from some estate sale.
Would NEVER rent this place again.
Although, perfectly located to shops, restaurants and the beach and pool.

"Great view outside but not inside
This property was chosen for it's ocean view, 3 beds and baths, location to Coligny Park, meeting budget criteria and last minute availability. It successfully met all that we chose it for. However the condition of the inside was disappointing as we compared it to the accommodations of the last 4 Christmas beach trip rentals. The walls were dirty and desperately need paint. The carpet was so old dirty looking I didn't want to walk on it without slippers and the furniture should be in a thrift store or at the curb. The bedrooms reminded me of a Motel 6 in the 70's with sparse and mismatched furniture and no real decor. We wouldn't sit on the couch without towels because it looked dirty. Two side chairs had such saggy cushions we could not sit in them. It was really disappointing. However as we settled in, turned out to be fine. For one I wasn't worried I would mess anything up! LOVE the view from the living room. The kitchen is great layout and pretty well equipped. Location is great. Seashores helpful, even calling Christmas day to follow up with a message I left. It would have been different if weather warm and we only needed to to sleep and eat. However we spent the majority of the 3 days inside and it would have been nice if it felt cleaner and a little more aesthetically appealing. "

I have stayed in many condos at ocean one and this was by far the least favorite, needs a lot of help, even just a coat of paint. The balcony furniture needs replaced and other furniture as well. We have stayed at ocean one for 32 years and this looked like it hadn’t been updated in many years. This is not a reflection on Seashore Vacations but I know not to rent this unit until it gets a face lift. On the plus side, it does have a great view."

"Excellent Stay As Usual
We visit every year to attend the Special Olympics North America Tennis Championships at Van Der Meer Tennis Academy. OceanOne has proven to be the best place for our extended family to live out our week+ vacation. We don't really do restaurants alot and so the full kitchen in these units is constantly used for our large family. We shop at BiLo grocery store and use the outdoor gas grills each night. The pool is always clean and so close to the beach that we go back and forth on our swim days. We also appreciate having a full dining room and lanai. We played tennis also at Chaplin Public Courts which are very well maintained. We did have a problem with the A/C and Seashore Vacations had a repairman out the next morning. "

"Ideal location for vacation!
This condo is the perfect location. Third floor of a well-landscaped complex, directly overlooking the pool and the ocean. The unit has three bedrooms, each with their own bath and a very well equipped kitchen. It also has a huge dining room table for everyone to eat at, and for gaming. There is also a beautiful balcony. Previous guests had left boogie boards, which was nice. The pool area was beautiful, with nice chairs and shade. And the proximity to the beach unparalleled. The manager was very easy to work with, communicating clearly, and was very responsive. We had no problems with the unit. It is a bit "outdated" as other guests have said - it could use a "freshen up" but this does not take away from the comfort and amenities and we would highly recommend to others."

The rental company worked with us to find a suitable unit at the last minute. Our original vacation plan had to change due to hurricane Dorian. The furniture in the living room (chairs) were broken down and need replaced. The balcony furniture is old and broke down and also needs replaced. The closet doors needed repaired as it was off the track."

We love Hilton Head, Ocean One and Buddy.
However, when we arrived at our condo, a chair on the balcony was broken. I call the office and spoke to a woman who said that someone would come to pick it up. No one ever came by and on Friday of our stay, my brother-in-law sat in one of the other chairs and it broke with him. They were obviously rusted. I called the office again and felt like the woman didn't really want to be bothered."

Our family of 6 had plenty of room in the condo. The only complaint we have is that the pool isn't large enough to accommodate the number of people that stay at the complex. This really didn't bother us much because we love going to the beach."

"Average condo with good view and location
This unit has a great view of the ocean! The kitchen island/bar is large and opens up to the dinning area/living area. This is a nice feature. The kitchen is sufficiently stock and there is open shelves for food storage. The living area could use updating with new chairs and sofa. The master bed is comfortable and has a view of the water. The master bath is small but fine. The other two bedrooms were also fine and are the same size baths as the master bath. We did have a problem with the shower in one of the baths and the property management came right away and fixed it. There is a problem with a water sound in the walls of the one of the baths. It is probably a leak which should be addressed. Also the toilet in that bath would continue to run.
This is a average condo but not a luxury condo. The view and the location is what makes it good."

"311 Ocean One Condo
Our family has been staying at Ocean One nearly every year since 1976. That in itself says a lot about our level of satisfaction. The building and landscaping is always maintained beautifully, and the location is perfect for our family. Grandparents, parents, teens and children. Amazing beach, shopping close by, and restaurants and tiki huts are all in walking distant. Great security in our parking lot, and the staff at Seashore is very accommodating. Our only hitch this year is that the pool was closed for 3 days. This is the 3rd time in 6 years that this has happened. It is a huge disappointment not to have access to the pool. (We are a party of 18 people using 3 condos w/12 kids) Three years ago the pool closed for 4 days. Our guess is that the filtration system cannot keep up with the growing population of people using the pool. I say "guess" because there is no communication from the Seashore management office. The lack of info is frustrating. A simple text each morning updating the status of the pool would help out. The ocean was rough the week we visited. Life guards flew a yellow flag on Wednesday. It's challenging to supervise your children's swim time under these circumstances. The pool is a perfect swim option on rough beach days, but it was not an option this time around. Overall, Ocean One is wonderful, but the pool situation needs to be addressed by property owners. There is room for a second pool to be built. As long time renters, we would ask for this option to be explored. Thank you!"

Always a great time but very unhappy with the filthy carpet in this unit. First time we stayed in this unit. The carpeting needs to be replaced with tile or wood or clean the carpet after each stay which will not happen. We have been renting in this complex for over 15 years and this is our first bad experience. Good layout of the rooms with each bedroom having it's own bathroom."

"Not what the picture says
Seashore Rentals has great, knowledgeable staff. The condo is not so great. The picture shown is not the view you are going to get. The 2 palm trees in the picture are now directly in front of the balcony, blocking your entire view of the ocean. This condo is not clean. The furniture is broken and dirty. The condo management brought in a new staff member this year and she added to the negative stay. Ocean One is a beautiful property to stay at, but you may as well have a condo facing the parking lot and not pay a premium price rather than unit 311. Been staying at Ocean One for 20 years and never had such a disappointing experience. We did receive a small amount of money back, but not the amount we should have."

"Good week
I enjoyed our stay at Ocean One 311. I would prefer a keypad lock on the front door as it was difficult keeping track of the keys with 6 teenagers running around. The palm trees do obstruct the view of the ocean but it is still visible on either side. Could really use more silverware as we had 8 people, we never had enough silverware. Pool was clean and well kept. A hall runner rug would be a good addition as the floor gets very slippery when wet. The condo was a good fit for our family of 8. "

"Updates needed
We love Ocean One and have stayed there many times. This was the first in this unit and I would only rate it as okay. Desperately needs a new coat of paint and updated furniture at the least. New carpet wouldn't hurt either. Was satisfied with the off season rate we paid, but wouldn't pay summer rates for this unit. Just not that nice."

"WHAT? .... It's Over!!
Family of seven (5 kids aged 20-28) and we had a great time. Ocean One Unit 311 worked for our large family! Other than furniture a bit worn and the overall decor not "put together" well, it was sufficiently clean and adequately appointed with kitchen ware, etc. We would definitely go back. One word about Seashore Vacations .... Fabulous! to work with. The staff was awesome! Always accommodating and answered our every question and concern. We're looking forward to coming back!"

"Hilton Head Ocean One Room 311
I have stayed at Ocean One many times, it is my first vacation choice. However, this condo is my least favorite. The kitchen is poorly stocked with cheap equipment. There were dirty pans and dishes in the cabinets. The dishwasher did not wash well. The couch was so dirty that I covered it with sheets before I sat on it. The patio is just full of unmatched and damaged chairs. It did not feel or look well maintained. Also, there are two palm trees blocking part of the view (I hate to complain about this because I knew about the trees before booking the condo.)

overall stay good porperty location good there was a tree right in front of view..remote was missing from bedroom call property manager said had no idea were it was.....deck table and chairs needs replacing.....poor parking on 2 cars when u rent a condo for 8 people it takes more than 2 cars had 2 pay for additional parking...... condo was overbooked if u moved your car u would not have parking when u returned...."
