"Just Okay
We stayed here for 3 nights with 4 people, it had the tiniest kitchen, room for 1 person. No extra towels, other than what is specified, beds were comfortable and well air conditioned. Also maybe the shower walls could be cleaned. There was hair on the walls and soap on the doors. This appears to be corporate owned."

"A good week in Hilo Lagoons Centre.
We enjoyed our stay. We wished there were more kitchen tools. We are fans of the local Fresh Market and availability of fresh fish. Mixing bowls would be a good addition to the unit. There is a small piece of floor molding in the master bedroom (corner of bedroom and closet wall) that looks like it has been knocked about over the years. It fell off several times while we were there exposing a sharp nail. Just needs some minor attention before someone gets cut. Other than that, we wish there were local TV (island) channel(s)....we'd like to feel apart of the local scene. I'm sure we will be back to Hilo Lagoons Centre."

"Never choosing here again
Nice decor and view which we couldn't enjoy because we had to block out heat BUT nobody wants to do maintenance on their vacation. We should get partial refund because property not as described or maintained shelf missing in bathroom, shower rod kept falling down, ac filters need to be replaced, wifi didn't work, clothes dryer doesn't dry even after 60 min needs a change machine, need fans or uv window film, sliding doors rusted locks, sink drain plug doesn't plug. Family friendly? Needs TVs in bedrooms not half a wall covered in 5 large mirrors or ugly artwork, Light switches that don't work, TOXIC smell of gas or burning rubber in master bedroom. Salt water doesn't check in on their properties. Also if guests are forced to do their own trash get earlier drop hours most people have to be on plane at 8am. Seriously it's not like housekeeping has much to do. "

"Good fit for the right guests
Pros...right in the heart of Hilo Town! Very clean and spacious.
Cons...parking space located in back of condo next to an open park. Walk is a bit far and if you get back too late you have to walk up many stairs to the first floor to get to elevators. Carrying a lot of bags, etc. very heavy and inconvenient. Also, a lot of poop from ducks on the walkway. Bathrooms are not equipped for handicap, elderly or people with knee, back problems. Shower door in master bedroom opens less than halfway. Entering sideways without anything to hold onto can be dangerous. Toilet is also extremely low to the floor. Luckily those who stayed here didn’t have any physical limitations. Might be a good thing to mention this in description.
I will not be staying here again for the reasons I mentioned but if they aren’t of any concern for you, this might be a good place to stay! "

"Cozy and practical!
Very spacious, clean and exactly like the picture. Very nice emplacement close to Hilo town but a car is still a most. Everything was functional. The pool is basic but perfect for the kid. "

"Great condo!
Had a wonderful stay in Hilo. The location was great and I enjoyed the grounds with having the park in the back and seeing the ducks and koi pond. Overall the unit was clean and very well equipped and you have just about everything you could need. We used the small cooler a lot. I would recommend they provide more washcloths or for people to bring their own (we always do so it wasn't an issue). The were only 2 washcloths and 2 makeup cloths which can be used as wash cloths I guess, but we were there for 10 days. Laundry up the hall ($2 wash, $1.50 dry) was convenient and worked great but wouldn't want to do it every couple days. We would definitely consider staying here again. "

"Great launching point in Hilo!
Great location - definitely felt safe in this area.
Extremely quiet.
Beds were very comfortable and a/c worked well.
Appreciated the chairs, cooler, and beach towels in the unit for use. We used the chairs a ton!
Well appointed kitchen with nice, new pots and pans.
It was a bit hard to locate the assigned parking spot in the dark (numbers need to be repainted) but this isn't something the owner or property manager can control.
Overall, everything was really great!"

"Nice condo
This is a nicely updated condo in an older high-rise. Nice views of mountains to the northwest and of the bay in the distance from one bedroom, and adjacent to a large park. Near downtown restaurants. Kitchen is reasonably equipped and supplied. Beds were comfortable. Nice TV, but with no cable, be sure you come prepared with streaming passwords. Overall, a nice place to stay."

"Great condo in older building
The unit itself was wonderful. It is decorated very nicely with comfortable beds and linens. The unit was impeccably clean. The communication and service were great. However, the building itself is very worn down and needs maintenance. The area where the unit was located had lots of vagrants and at times didn't feel super safe when walking around."

"Hilo Stay- April 21 to 24
A cockroach ran across the kitchen counter as soon as lights turned on. The water and ice dispensers on the refrigerator did not work. Could not find the garbage shoot to dispose of the kitchen bag. TV hung and remote would not work. Location was fine for what we needed. Master bed was comfortable, Soap and shampoo were low quality."

"Very nice 2-bedroom in good Hilo location
The property was very clean with beautiful furnishings. It had comfortable space for family of four, with two single beds in the second bedroom. The location next to the lagoon was nice, making daytime walkable access to Banyan Drive pleasant. There is one dedicated parking space. It is unfortunate the lanais don't face the lagoon park, but since it is a corner unit the master bedroom side window has a partial view of the park. The view of Mauna Kea is nice. I was told I would receive information how to access the room before we arrived, and that never did happen. The contact we were provided helped us obtain the information on the day we arrived, so the inconvenience was minimal. "

"Lovely Stay in Hilo at nice, roomy condo
We found this corner condo very clean and comfortable for the 2 of us. The master bedroom is gorgeous with a large window overlooking the bay and a comfy king bed. Walk-in closet, large bureau, nice linens, good lighting, A/Cs, lanais! We didn't use the extra bedroom or bathroom much, but it was nice to have them available. Kitchen is small but well stocked with knives, dishes, etc. Why cook when you can walk to many wonderful restaurants? HOA rules seem strong at first, but made for a comfortable, quiet stay. Would definitely stay there again. Great value!"

Nice appartment with a beautiful view and a nice park. The surroundings are just ok, Hilo is not that pretty. The building is old and need some refreshment but the appartment is well renovated and equiped. Good instructions and quick answer from the rental owner with complete guide of the area. We recommand for a central location."

"Magnifique condo
Le condo a parfaitement convenu à la famille de 4 adultes que nous étions. La cuisine était très bien équipée, les lits étaient confortables et nous avons apprécié pouvoir utiliser la glacière et ice pack laissés à notre disposition. Le quartier a un cachet moins intéressant puisque nous sommes entourés d’édifices à bureaux de type gouvernemental, mais tout est à proximité (centre-ville, restos, épicerie). Je recommande certainement."

Very nice. Comfortable, beautiful, nearly perfect.
There was a loud hum noted when first turning on the water in the 2nd bathroom tub. Accessing the parking is a little tricky as the parking spaces are not clearly numerically marked at the back of the building. "

"Very Nicely Appointed
This is the nicest short-term stay I have ever enjoyed. Be aware that this unit is on the Hilo, not bay side of the building. However the main bedroom has beautiful views from immense windows to the south. The building is dated but perfectly serviceable. There are weird streaming channels, but no cable."

"Very Lovely Appointed Condo Unit
Very lovely appointed and very clean end unit condo with three separate A/C units in each room along with three lanai's, even though the building certainly could use painting and remodeling! The building shares offices with doctors, lawyers, realtors, etc so there is some vehicle noises from people coming for their appointments as well as the condo being in a busy downtown area. The side view from the master bedroom to the park was very pretty from the condo. We wouldn’t stay here again because of the noise of the frogs at night, no dishwasher or laundry facilities in the unit. (We knew about those three things in advance). Kitchen area is tight to operate comfortably between the stove on one side and the refrigerator across from it. The microwave is too small to heat a dinner plate of food in. The pillows smelled of stale body odor. We also noticed that sounds can carry from the condo units into the hallway. We loved that there was streaming service and reliable internet service. We also enjoyed our walks in the lovely park next to the condo building and the Farmers Market a few blocks down the street from the condo."

"25th Anniversary Trip
Not often do the pictures accurately depict what the units are really like once you arrive, but these definitely do!
Everything was handled professionally and with the right level of communication from the rental to the check-in and check-out processes.
The location was perfect for excursions to Volcanoes National Park, several waterfalls, caves, ziplining, hiking, and beaches.
Next time we come back to the Island we will definitely try to book this unit again. "

"Great location in Hilo Town!
This was a great stay and was the unit matched the description. Everything you need was at the unit. The King sized bed in the master bedroom was very comfy. The location was great - centrally located in Hilo Town. Communication with the hosts was easy - they responded right away. Two comments - neither are a deal breaker. 1) Maybe a TV in the master bedroom? This is just a me preference and not at all a ding on the unit. It would have helped me relax after long days of adventuring...and speaking of long days, 2) I think that it should be made more clear what time the doors in the building lock. We came back late one night and was chewed out by the security guard because we didn't have a building key and couldn't access the elevator. Now, we should have known that the building key was on the lanyard with the pool key, but that wasn't made clear. Nor was the "yellow," sheet with guest information made aware to us until we were scolded by the security guard. Perhaps the key and the yellow paper should be item number 1 in the unit's information binder.
Again, not deal breakers at all as we really enjoyed our stay. Mahalo!!"
