Welcome to Coral Point, a new (2019) oceanfront villa on the Caribbean Sea. Coral Point features sweeping ocean and sunset views from every room in the house, as well as from the oceanfront pool and patio.

Enter into Coral Point’s great room which looks out through an 8 foot sliding glass door at the pool and Caribbean Sea beyond. The living room is comfortably furnished with sofas and a flat screen TV. The dining area, with seating for eight around an elegant designer table, enjoys the same pool and ocean view. Behind it is the open-plan island kitchen, finished in quartz composite and stainless steel. The kitchen is fully equipped with cookware and appliances including microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine, toaster, kettle, blender etc.

The great room also features a powder room and a laundry closet with washer and dryer.

Flanking the great room are two large bedroom suites, both sharing the same sweeping ocean views of the great room. One has a king bed and the other twin beds which can be converted to a king. Both have full en-suite baths with double sinks finished in cool, elegant travertine. The twin bedroom suite has a walk-in shower and a separate tub. The king bedroom has a walk-in shower.

The top floor of Coral Point is dedicated to the vast master suite. This room features a king bed, sitting area, and a large deck overlooking the pool and sea. The luxurious en-suite bath is equipped with a walk-in shower and large tub.

Outside, Coral Point’s large stone patio surrounds the pool and is furnished for lounging and dining. The pool and patio enjoy stunning ocean views. Just beyond is the oceanfront recreation area equipped with a dock perfect for swimming, fishing, snorkeling, and launching the kayaks. (It's not suitable for the overnight docking of a power boat.)

The snorkeling off the property is exceptional. Quoting from a recent guest: “We saw 10-15 rays each day, some of the most variety of colorful fish of any of our snorkeling locations--tangs, puffer fish, spiny lobster, crabs, huge angel fish, squirrel fish, parrot fish, live conchs, too many things to list.”

Amenities at Coral Point including AC throughout, WIFI, smart TV, washer/dryer, gas grill, and two kayaks.

Coral Point is located just a mile from Governors Harbour, Eleuthera’s main town. Governors Harbour has grocery stores, restaurants, liquor stores, two banks with ATMs, a bakery, gift shops, a dive shop, and a medical clinic. It has a nice little collection of 19th century homes and churches overlooking a picturesque harbor. You can buy fresh fish and lobster every afternoon from fisherman at the town dock. Friday night Fish Fry in Governors Harbour is a street/beach party that brings together all the tourists and locals with food, drink, and dancing in the street. You won’t want to miss it.

Upscale restaurants in the area include The Buccaneer (Bahamian cuisine with Caribbean-Chinese fusion), Tippy’s (international and fusion), La Bougainvillea (international cuisine), 1648 Restaurant (Bahamian cuisine inspired by European influences), Bacchus Fine Foods (gourmet restaurant and food store), Pascal’s at Sky Beach Club (International cuisine with Bahamian influences), and The Rainbow Inn (famous for its steaks and seafood). The above all have live music one or more nights a week, so there is live entertainment somewhere nearby almost every night. The Governors Harbour area also has numerous little takeouts and restaurants offering local cuisine, including Da Perk (coffee shop and sandwiches), Mate and Jenny’s (pizza and Bahamian), the Sunset Inn (local cuisine), and LeoRose Sunset Beach Bar and Grill (local cuisine, drinks, live music).

Governors Harbour airport is less than 15 minutes from the property. North Eleuthera Airport is one hour away. Non-stop flights are available from Atlanta, Miami, Charlotte, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, and Nassau.

Nearby Activities in Governors Harbour

Governor's Harbour is the main town on the island of Eleuthera, with a charming collection of 19th century homes and churches overlooking its historic harbor. Eleuthera is most famous for its 100 miles of spectacular, deserted beaches. The island, home to just 8000 residents, is safe and friendly. The snorkeling, diving, and fishing on the island are world class. Boating, surfing, and other water sports are also popular. You can rent power boats, sailboats, sea kayaks and bikes. There is excellent sightseeing, as well. Eleuthera has vast caves, cliffs, and a bottomless ocean hole.

Things To Do in Governors Harbour

For most people who make the trip to Eleuthera, the island of freedom, they come for its peace and serenity -- that feeling of being far removed from the rest of the world. One of the best things about Eleuthera is that you'll almost always have a beach to yourself. And the sand is pink! You can go swimming and snorkeling and see stingrays and other aquatic life here. The Glass Window Bridge is one of the coolest spots to visit on the island. The Ocean Hole is a spot you'll never forget.. read more

"Coral Point
The view was amazing! The house itself had a lot of issues. Electrical, hot water, the ladder to get into the ocean was completely destroyed and we were told the it would be replaced but that never happened. We hope that these issues will be resolved so that the next guests that visit will have a more enjoyable time."

"Coral Point stay
One word: Superb!!
The house is exactly as described and shown. We loved the early morning snorkeling followed by breakfast and coffee at the pool. Our stay was too short!"

"Almost perfect
The house is beautifully located, and is spacious and comfortable. The dock needs some maintenance, e.g. steps are detached and on the sea bed, so more difficult for the oldest of our group to get in and out. Main issue was the local concierge: they did not turn up for the meet-and-greet appointment which they had asked for, the third bedroom was not made up at all, with bedsheets available, and it was more difficult to get hold of them because the wifi network name and password had both been changed. We had a great week, and the house is a wonderful spot."

"coral point
The house is lovely, perfect for three adult couples. We enjoyed being close to Governor's Harbor but kayaking on "our bay" was always deserted. Good snorkeling right off the dock. The best fish are close to the rocks (blue tang, angelfish, grouper, fairy basslet and lots of neons).Green turtle and rays out in the open water. Swimming pool was nice to lounge around in before and after beach, kayaking ad snorkeling trips. "

"A piece of Paradise
Check in was great!!! Smaller pool but perfect for our group of 5!!! Beach towels were nice to have. Every bedroom has a bathroom plus an additional 1/2 bath!! We truly enjoyed snorkeling right off the deck. Thanks for sharing your beautiful piece of paradise with us!! "

"Nice Stay in Paradise
We enjoyed our stay at Coral Point. The house was clean and Sonya, the property manager was very responsive to any questions or concerns. The tide was rough during our stay so we weren’t able to make use of the dock or kayaks or snorkeling from the dock. You will need to drive to get to a beach. We explored the island instead and found beautiful beaches all over. It is a good central location on the island to explore both north and south. The power did go out several times a day usually in the evening but luckily only for short periods. The property is modern and well designed but could use some paint touch up inside. The beds were very comfortable. The sliders on both levels are wonderful but there are not any screens on the downstairs so you can’t leave the doors open and take advantage of the ocean breeze and sounds which was a bummer. It was secluded and peaceful with an amazing ocean view."

"Celebration in Paradise
Had a great time. The view was absolutely gorgeous. We enjoyed the pool and kayaks. Snorkeled right at the property too just for fun. House was clean, comfortable and beds were comfortable too. The hostess was nice and accommodating. The area was nice too. "

Excellent vacation home, clean spacious and reasonably well equipped for 6 people to be comfortable and have privacy. View and sunsets are incredible. Location is convenient to excellent beaches, local restaurants and food stores with private pool and dock with water toys. Sonya the local house manager was very responsive in providing advice, and addressing any needs. "

"Amazing!
This house was so amazing. It was perfect for the six of us and felt very new and clean. Even loved the decorating.

We all just loved having the dock and the kayaks. Put the SUP in the water once but it needed a little air which we never got around to adding. The last couple days the water was not so calm so it didn't seem like a great idea. We did snorkel at least a little every day. We brought a couple of our own sets and I loved using the rafts that were there. (Maybe left by the last renters? Just blow up rings.) We used the pool a couple nights as well. Partly because there were a lot of mosquitos so being in the water we could stay outside and not get eaten. :) We never did figure out how to turn the pool light on but didn't really need it.

The house is a bit far from a lot of the exploring we wanted to do. I think we drove the hour to the north almost every day for something (boat tour, fishing tour, harbour island, glass window bridge, queens baths). Our favorite beach was just across the glass window bridge where you can park and have a snack or drink at the gazebo and walk down to the beach. It was like an infinite pool.

That being said, the location to governors harbour is very convenient. I even walked to the grocery store (One Stop) one morning. There is no sidewalk but the traffic is so light that it felt safe to just step off the road when cars came by. A little disappointing how much trash was on the side of the road. I think everything felt a little off because of COVID.

Overall, HIGHLY recommend this property. Great value and unbelievable water access. We even had a tourist come and ask if the dock was public and then a couple local ladies asked if they could access the rocks to fish. We didn't mind and after a couple hours the boys when to ask how it was going. They were so sweet and tried to give us one of the fish they caught. They were only using lines with hooks - no rod and reel. "

"Rustic Governor’s Harbor
We got off to a rocky start at check-in due to the cleaning crew not doing their job and the host not being there upon our arrival, but after we spent an hour and a half cleaning it up and the crew finally showing up we were able to begin enjoying our vacation. The views from the house are amazing, the deck by the ocean is great and definitely where we spent the most time. The pool is small but nice, however our family preferred the ocean. It’s just a bit outside of town, which is fine since there isn’t much in GH aside from a few restaurants and a grocery store. Our time was spent exploring the island by car and then relaxing in the ocean (snorkeling, kayaking). The beds were nice, the place is in fairly good shape, and the kitchen had pretty much everything we needed to cook breakfast when eating in. We comfortably fit 4 adults and 2 boys in the house. "

"Wonderful!
The house, the location, and the assistance/service exceeded our expectations. Communication with the property manager was good and she was very helpful when we had questions or had a need.

The location, house pictures and descriptions were accurate. We were happy to see there was a washer and drying! Everything in the house worked perfectly. Having a private dock is incredible. The pool was fantastic for relaxing in. Young-kids may be disappointed that it isn't a "big" pool but it is a wonderful pool! We would stay at this property and house again."

"Island Journey
Hard to explain in words the beauty of the beaches on this island. Definitely a "bucket list" adventure. We went exploring everyday. This house was perfect directly in the middle of the island."

"Great View
Fantastic vacation! Sonya the property manager came thru many times with all our requests! View and house were amazing!"

"Beautiful home, great location!
We had a great weeks vacation staying at Coral Point! The house is exactly as the pictures show - terrific and new, right on the ocean. The house manager, Sonya, was very helpful and helped us with several minor items that came up during our stay.
Our only big disappointment was that we had been told on another website that the pool could be heated for an additional $40/day (which was needed since the temp was pretty cold for both the ocean and pool) - but when we got there, we found it could NOT be heated. We honestly would not have stayed at the house if we had known that in advance, since we’ve been to the Bahamas this time of year, and heat was definitely needed. So we were never able to use the plunge pool even once - but it looked great!
Overall, once they get the pool heated, we would be happy to stay at Coral Point again!"

"Eleuthera turtle estate
Very nice house at a very nice location. Very clean and nice pool. Sunsets are spectacular! Rental car is recommended to get around the island. "

"Great location, beautiful new house!
Coral Point is in a great location with direct access to the Caribbean ocean - we had some of the best snorkeling adventures right off the back dock. The house is comfortable, beautifully furnished, awesome bed sheets and bath towels. However it is a new 2019 house so some of the amenities described in the listing were not available during our stay, such as washer/dryer, kayaks, grill, ladder to the water had not yet arrived, and some kitchen supplies. The property manager was extremely accommodating, very responsive, and managed to get us kayak rentals, as well as a grill and ladder for access to the ocean midway through our stay. We had a few issues with AC units dripping, but was taken care of by maintenance and didn't affect the temp of the house. Kitchen was well stocked in the basics - it has a blender, toaster, coffee maker, tea kettle, but we were missing a few items that would have been nice since we cooked a lot of our own meals (no mixing bowls, measuring cups, rubber spatulas, grill utensils, cheese grater, etc). Having the private pool was nice, good selection of patio furniture to relax outside (however not a lot of shade options). Overall, we were a little disappointed that we paid at the top of our budget for a house that didn't have all the amenities promised, however despite the hiccups, we enjoyed our stay and hope to come back to Eleuthera."

"Eleuthera Getway Home!
From the moment we drove up we were over the top pleased with our choice! The home is sunny yellow and right on the water! The pool was just the perfect size. The home was very clean and nicely furnished. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely come here again."
