Welcome in to Spinnaker! Only a short distance from the beach in the peaceful North End of Sandbridge! When you arrive, you’ll enter the first floor family room offering high ceilings and comfortable seating for all around a large flat screen TV and a decorative fireplace. Includes an entertainment area with a high selection of DVD’s, books, and games. This vacation spot is beautifully designed for those seeking a large family getaway.
You will have your own private swimming pool accompanied with a volleyball net and hot tub, all located in the spacious backyard. Various covered decks with gorgeous views of the beach!
1st Floor: 3 full bathrooms, 4 bedrooms, 1 king and 3 queens. A mini kitchen is located on the 1st floor as well, including a full size refrigerator, eat-in kitchen table for 6, as well as a washer and dryer plus a pool table!
2nd floor: 2 king bedrooms both with ensuites, one includes a luxurious master bath with jacuzzi style tub. Full kitchen. Large dining room which is filled with a big dining room table to seat your whole family. Large open family room with flat screen TV above fireplace and 1 half bath. Wide deck off the family room with outdoor seating.
3rd floor: 1 king bedroom, 1 queen bedroom, 2 bunk bedrooms (2 twin over full bunk bed sets) one bunk set per room, and 1 full size sleeper sofa located in the loft. Access the wide front deck with beautiful ocean and beach views. 2 jack and jill bathrooms shared by two rooms on each side of floor.
Outdoor shower with both a foot wash and shower head for your convenience.
Beds will be made for you on day of arrival. Pool is available based on weather ranging from mid May through mid September.

Several of the previous reviews submitted were prior to transitioning to our property management company. With that said, we have made several adjustments to each of our properties to ensure the best experience for your stay!

"Loved our stay
We have a great time with family over the Easter weekend with this perfect get away destination property. The house was huge for all family and everyone was very comfortable. The owner had provided everything as listed and there was missing. Great location which allowed us the ocean view from the balcony through the beach access path. We only wished we visited at a later time when the pool was open as that would have been even more enjoyable for the kids .. we definitely plan to visit again !!"

I live in Virginia Beach and have rental Beach houses a dozen or so
times. The house is very nice. The rooms are spacious. The TV on the 2nd floor where you eat and socialize has very small TV and is not even a tv you can get apps on. Disappointing in such a nice house. The kitchen stove has a knob for the large burner come off and neither the can opener or the egg beaters worked in the kitchen. The house could use a little love but is a very nice house. If I owned it I would put ceiling fans in all the rooms. Overall still a very nice house with a great location. I love Sandbridge in general so a very nice house and location."

"Great location
First the good.....Great home, Nice space and layout, excellent location!
Now the not so great: Initially, the home was not cleaned to our standards, but additional cleaning was offered to remedy the situation.
There were some hiccups with the dryer not working (it was replaced) and the furniture being dingy/well used. We rented late September and were told due to being the end of the season it was being replaced....but that didn't help our situation. Overall, loved the house and location. We never rented a "pet friendly" place before and maybe this was a contributing factor."

"feedback- not for sharing on public venue
We had a great week and the home was in a wonderful location. There are things that need improvement and repair. The front of the house, doors, and glass are filthy and the grounds had not been cleaned. There was a dirty diaper dropped inside the gate. Deck boards are loose and popping up and several of us tripped along with getting splinters. The pool was never cleaned mid week (vacuumed) although we did see a van in the driveway.
The door for the upstairs beachside deck is nearly impossible to open, so someone may want to check it.
The washing machine is leaking so cold water will continue to fill the basin if you don't shut off the water.
I am sharing as the owners should be aware. "

"Overdue Family Time
Spinnaker was THE ideal house for our family! We have not vacationed together in 24 years! From the easy access to the ocean and the private pool this house was perfect! It had plenty of room for everyone! Historical attractions and other family activities were close by. We wouldn't change a thing! Ocean Sands was so easy to work with. "

"Spinnaker Stay
We had a lovely time. It was all about visiting with friends that we don’t often see. Spinnaker was perfect with large gathering spaces and small more intimate spaces. Parking was plentiful . Folks at Ocean Sands were very accommodating. Proximity to beach and view of the ocean were great. We’ll be back next year. "

"Great House for Family Reunion!
Spinnaker was a great venue for our birthday party/family reunion for 14 people! The home was clean and wqell maintained and extremely well equipped. (The only missing is that one of the propane tanks on the two grills was empty and we didn't check it in advance -- so just be sure to do so). The primary kitchen was well equipped for creating meals. Big plus was the beach access directly across the street."

"Family Reunion Time
We had 11 seniors traveling for our Annual family reunion. ALL of the accommodations were perfect. We loved getting the handtowel in the towel package. The only thing we were a little disappointed in that ALL supplies were wiped clean from the house. Rentals that we have used in the past, will leave the extras of some dish soap supplies from the previous, some spices for use with future guests. This had nothing.. We brought all of our supplies, and like leaving for future, but was hesitant, not knowing that they would be left for the next guest. Hot tub was a blessing after the round of Golf at Hells Point. Great Meal at Margie & Rob's"

House was beautiful and more then enough room. We loved the proximity to the beach. Was not clean.. I had to clean many surfaces before we could unpack ( I sent pics) also out check in time was 4 and the cleaning crew wouldn’t let us upstairs till 4:45... "

"Everything was wonderful!
We loved everything about our stay at Spinnaker! It was wonderful! Everything was clean, the location was perfect. The pirate ship playground in the background and the hot tub really saved our trip (since the weather was cold and extremely windy!). was wonderful, very responsive, easy to work with and kind! "Terrific location
The location was by far the best part. A quick easy walk to the beach. Viewing the sunrise from the decks with a cup of coffee was amazing! We were a group of 12 plus 2 kids the house was very spacious, the dining table allowed all of us to eat together. Then there’s the kitchen... it was not the gourmet kitchen one would expect for such a lovely home. There were very little cooking supplies and the items supplied were in bad condition. The kitchen needs some upgrades. The other area lacking at this rental is the backyard. It also needs some TLC. Multiple family members would feel a tingle shock when touching the entire side of the pool closes to the house. "

"Great place.
Spinnaker was the ideal vacation home for our family. I have been renting vacation homes every year for 30 years . I must admit Spinnaker is the only vacation home I ever wanted to rent again. So I booked it for September of 2023 . There was 14 of us , 10 adults and 4 kids ages 2 to 14 and a couple of dogs. The back fenced in yard was great for letting the dogs out . The house was clean , the only things I noticed that the house needed was a couple new frying pans and the bathroom with the sliding pocket door needs a few repairs. "

"Great Beach House
The house was great with plenty of room for a large group. The pool area with Hot Tub was really nice. The proximity to the beach was amazing with beach access directly across from the front of the house. The property management company was very responsive and fast to correct a few minor issues we had. I would highly recommend this property for your beach vacation!"

"Great house in a Great Location !
This was our first time in Sandbridge. We had 22 people which fit comfortably in the Spinnaker Semi-Oceanfront home. The location was perfect!, right across the street from the (no steps) beach access!. We had unobstructed views of the ocean.
We only had on issue with the kitchen faucet which was fixed quickly. We were notified before our arrival that the hot tub was broken. It was fixed during our stay so we got to enjoy that for the second half of the week.
The kitchen could use some extra supplies, for a house that accommodates up to 24 people, there could be more silverware (forks), plates, mugs and the cookware could be expanded also.

Overall, it was a great house and we had a memorable vacation week. We wouldn't hesitate to come back to Sandbridge or the Spinnaker house.
Unfortunately, does not give current renters the option to rebook the following year, this house is already booked for next year before we even left. ;(
(In our past experience, the current renters had until the day after checkout to rebook or hold for the same week the following year. )
