"A Little Slice of Heaven
I have stayed at various beaches many times but this one was the most beautiful ever! The condo was top notch and I felt like a celebrity for a week along with my husband and teenagers. There was plenty of room for 2 adults and 3 teenagers. The views were breathtaking on the first and second floor. Having that view in the master was the best. (Perfect gulf view in living room and master). I can’t say enough about this place
X it was walking distance to Seaside and we spent lots of time there when we weren’t on the beach. I only hope to get to return and bring my brothers and mother. I could go on and on all day about this location and condo. BOOK IT NOW. You will be blown away. "

"My happy place
We love coming to Seagrove Beach! It defnintely is our happy place. And we love coming to Emerald Hill! This condo has been perfect for our family year after year, however this year we noticed a distint musty odor that never went away (and we had not noticed it in previous years). We also feel like the furniture (especially the couch and dining table) are getting old and gross, and need to be replaced. However, because the beach and location are so beautiful and perfect, we tried to overlook those things. :)"

"Beautiful condo, steps to the Gulf!!
Emerald Hill 8 is a beautiful condo. Large, clean, and well equipped with everything you need during your stay. The garage has plenty of boogie boards, bikes, beach chair, and lots of sand toys. The view from both balconies is breathtaking. The walkway to the beach has very few steps and is easy to navigate. The pool area is large and well maintained. The entire complex is clean and very well landscaped. This is a great unit and a wonderful complex. "

"Not What We Paid For
The pictures depicted a bigger condo than we found upon arrival. The kitchen is extremely small and not well equipped for cooking. We were short on mixing bowls and utensils. The 3rd bedroom advertises a twin and a double bed, but it is actually 2 twin beds. One of our children had to sleep on the couch all week. Our wifi/internet did not work for 3 days so we could not watch TV at all. The condo did not have a DVD player as advertised.
Cleanliness: We found half empty water bottles in the bedroom drawers and the bathrooms were not cleaned very well. There was a large (disgusting) smashed bug in the master closet. We had no access to a broom or vacuum all week so the floors got very sandy and dirty. We called the management company twice and they were responsive. Not much they could do to fix the internet issue as the provider could not come out for 10 days. The management rep did send a plumber over to fix the bathroom sink as it was clogged with chewed tobacco from a previous guest. The unit needs more blankets that don't look 20 yrs old.
The location was great and the walk to the beach was easy. The rules say no canopies or tents, but people set them up in the front row early in the morning. There is no enforcement of the rules. The chair/umbrella rental company monopolizes the beach early in the morning so empty chairs sit in the front row until someone rents them. Not sure how this is negotiated, but it isn't fair to the guests who are staying at the condo and would like front row access without renting chairs and umbrellas. "

"Great Vacation
My husband, our 22 year old son & daughter, and, I had a wonderful week at this condo! It is right on the beach! The views from both patios are amazing! The condo is bigger than it looks in photos. We had everything we needed in the kitchen. Washer & dryer worked great! Beds were comfy. The location is perfect. We rode our bikes to Seaside which was a little over a mile. Several restaurants with in walking or biking distance. WiFi worked great! Easy beach access right next to end condo. Steps away from beach. Beach service available. We reserved chairs & umbrellas & they were waiting on us every day. Beach was not too crowded. I would love to own this condo! There were a couple of things I would change. Needs new throw pillows on the couch. Sliding glass doors were a little hard to open. The door to twin bedroom bathroom was hard to close. The rental company was very easy to work with! I plan on booking here again next year! Can’t wait to go back!"

"Excellent beach views!
We really enjoyed our stay at this Emerald Hill property which has one of the best views of the beach anywhere, from both an upper and lower porch deck. The location has easy beach access and is near shops and restaurants, but still a quiet enough area to be restful. It would have been nice to have a couple of lounge (or lawn) chairs for the decks. The high top table and bar stools were fun but not relaxed form of seating. Ice maker was a little unreliable and could use some more basic kitchen utensils for those who like to cook. But it was comfortably furnished overall. We have stayed in this unit in the past and I’m sure we will be there again. "

"Emerald Hill - Great location!
We have stayed at Emerald Hill several times. We love the location. This unit was nice and spacious most furnishings were updated. King size bed was very comfortable. Kitchen needs some restocking limited utensils and pans nothing matches and no pizza cutter. Bring your own, LOL. Otherwise unit was nice and fit our needs for the week. Cleaning was a little lacking but we did go probably the busiest week of the year. Property management company was nice and easy to work with. Did have to go and pick up and return keys. Owners should consider putting key pad on door. We enjoyed our stay."

"Emerald Hill 8-March 2021
This was one of the best condo's we have had the pleasure to enjoy. It was right on the beach, did not require an elevator ride each time we came or went, and was well apportioned with everything we needed for our stay. This is particularly important in the kitchen area, where it is always frustrating to be in the middle of cooking and realize some needed utensil or kitchen item is missing. This unit had everything we needed."

"Wonderful Fall Vacation
Our family of 5 arrived on a Sunday so the office was closed. The protocol for picking up the keys was simple and seamless. The unit was spacious and clean. The bathrooms are nicely updated, beds were comfortable, and the simple linens were pleasing. Having washer/dryer in the unit is always a big plus for me. The kitchen was well appointed for our cooking needs. The location and view can not be beat. We rented beach chairs/umbrella along with a golf cart for our stay and the gentlemen were very kind and accommodating. The only suggestions I have are: 1. maybe a few trash bags per stay instead of the one (small) bag that is in the can upon arrival. 2. A vacuum cleaner or broom/dustpan accessible to clean up sand as it does come in on shoes. There are a few aesthetic things that could be addressed such as peeling paint on the balcony rails, water stain in the upstairs hallway, and some roof/gutter damage (assuming from one of the many hurricanes this season). You can tell that some of the dunes close to the buildings in the area are washed away from storms, but it didn’t take away from us being able to enjoy the beach at all. Overall, this was a great place to stay and we look forward to staying here again in the future. "

"VERY OLD AND CHEAP
This property was so old and need of attention . The roof leaks, guttering is falling off, ceiling is falling in areas and cracked. The location is good and the pool was good and clean. There is no beach, hardly enough for chairs and umbrellas. The management office is rude and hard to work with. For the price there are a lot of nice condos in the area. We would never rent this unit again."

"Beachfront Chillin'
Like the upgrade to the interior. Have stayed in #8 before. Been coming to Emerald Hill for 20 yrs, some of the best weather on this trip. Dodged COVID, did the beach and sunsets everyday. Grayton Beach is still the best beach in America. "

"Great Location
This spacious condo is just steps from the beautiful Gulf of Mexico beach. Both the living room and the master bedroom have nice balconies that overlook the beach and the Gulf. Nice for watching the sunsets!
Lots of room inside. Very comfortable. We needed a few fixes and the management company was responsive. A plus to have a garage available for parking."

"Dirty Unit
Staff was very nice upon arrival to pick up keys. Housekeeping did a disservice to the unit because it was apparent that the unit has not been occupied in quite some time. Dust and cobwebs everywhere, old dried up spills on the cabinets, muck and seaweed in the tracks of the sliding doors, cigarette butts and old Doritos bag on the front porch. Old moldy sponge on the kitchen sink, tattered and torn bathroom towels, someone’s swim shorts were left on the balcony. Not the things you’d expect on Santa Rosa beach, especially when you have to pay a PREMIUM to stay for 3 days, what you usually pay for a week. But it was the holidays and that’s what I signed up for. The unit was spacious and renovated, situated nicely on the beach with double decker balcony overlooking the gulf. The kitchen was small, master bedroom was huge, tv in living room was super big (60”+) but it had no signal :(
Overall, the stay was adequate, but just highly disappointed in the cleanliness. Not what you’d want to experience while shelling out major cash and expect to unwind when you’re grossed out by strangers nastiness and DNA that’s all over the place. 30A has way more options than to have to put up with this. "
