"Perfect little getaway
Brought back memories of our old family cabin on the lake, but slightly bigger lake! Quaint, quiet little place for a nice relaxing getaway. Nice private pier to watch the sunrise. Close to Corpus and plenty to do in Rockport. We'll be back. Host communicated expectations and answered any questions quickly."

"Great place for a QUIET getaway.
This place was good. Two adults fit comfortably with room for 2 kids. The ac was not great in the front part of this home but we just shut the door separating the rooms. Front deck is in disrepair but there's no privacy so we did not utilize it. Home is 20 feet away from a family home so quiet and courtesy is to be expected as a guest here. Looking to party? Don't go here. Want quiet and relaxing? This is your place. "

"Anniversary Getaway
Pros: Excellent location right across from the water. Nice and cozy environment. A lot of antiqueness to the place. Got the opportunity to fish a bit which was very relaxing. Wife and I loved it and would do it again. Cons: The place could really used a deep cleaning and the bed was just a little uncomfortable. A few loose boards on the floors throughout the house"

"Joy's Beach Cottage Needs Some TLC
What a great location! The house however needs considerable work. The smell of mold and mildew in the house were almost unbearable. The trash can outside was full of dead stinky fish and the smell was so bad you could not sit on the front deck. The grass had not been mowed and was pretty tall. The furnishings were dirty and worn out. We were really looking forward to this stay, but actually cut it short by 2 days due to the mold and mildew smell in the house. Very disappointed. "

"A short get-a-way
We enjoyed our few days on the water. The pier was great for fishing and just enjoying the sunset. Caught a large sting ray and a couple of Black Drum (released) and quite a few specs (also released). The house is a great size for a couple and the kitchen was well equipped for our needs. The furniture could use some upgrades to be more comfortable for us seniors. "

"My stay at joys beach cottage
Overall I was not satisfied with my stay. The property’s maintenance of the lawn was not kept mowed. Plus the shower is way to small. I was happy with the location. The house inside was not thoroughly clean because we noticed an empty Gatorade Bottle under the couch. We also had to go to the store to buy batteries for the tv remote controls. The house was not prepared for guests to stay. The storage outback needs to be cleaned up and the patio furniture needs to be replaced as well as the chairs on the pier. "
