This charming hillside home is located in Rainbow Bay, directly across from the beautiful & secluded Rainbow Bay beach, Eleuthera. This private and fully furnished 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom cottage is situated on 1/3 acre of land surrounded by lush and mature island vegetation with beautiful sea views from the large verandah. The cottage has central air-conditioning and satellite TV, landline phone, WIFI, a cozy living room, dine-in kitchen, dishwasher, charcoal grill, and an outdoor shower. The master bedroom has a queen bed. The guest bedroom has twin beds which can be converted to a king bed.

Key Lime Cottage is ideal for families, couples and honeymooners, and is situated literally across the small road (a minute's walk) from Rainbow Bay's private beach. The beach itself offers sparkling white sand and crystal clear azure waters perfect for shelling, snorkeling and fishing and is a naturally protected cove. Convenient picnic benches, secluded tiki huts on the beach are included as part of the rental. Rainbow Bay also has a private tennis court.

Rainbow Bay offers one of the best snorkeling spots on the island. From the above pictures you can see a small peninsula which juts out into the Caribbean. It is home to many of the island's tropical fish and rays. If you are a snorkeler, you will not be disappointed. From Key Lime cottage, you also have easy access to the Atlantic Ocean beaches.

It is just a mile to the acclaimed Rainbow Inn, which offers some of the best food on the island and live music many evenings. The nearest market for supplies is located just a few minutes away by car if you choose to cook at home in the fully-equipped kitchen. There is also now an organic vegetable farm five minutes to the north from the villa.

Centrally located on Eleuthera, Key Lime cottage is the is the perfect location for exploring the whole island north to south, from Harbor Island to Lighthouse Point, 100 miles of beaches, beauty and history. It is only 15 minutes from Governor's Harbor airport and 25 minutes from Governor's Harbor.

Eleuthera is a very friendly and safe island. It is a beautiful, relaxed destination with turquoise seas, and beautiful sunny weather. Once you come, you will definitely want to return.

"Lovely cottage in Rainbow Bay
Visiting Eleuthera and staying in a community like Rainbow Bay was new for us. The neighborhood is nice, complete with amazing bay, tennis court, and easy access to the Rainbow Inn. We loved snorkeling at Rainbow Bay as well as the incredible sunsets from the beach. We used this stay to explore points north and especially enjoyed spending time at the newly renovated Cove for a day. The house has everything you need down to the last thoughtful detail such as 5-gallon drinking water jug, plastic wrap, band-aids, beach inflatables and guide books. We used many and appreciated all of these nice touches."

"Awesome stay!
We stayed in Key Lime Cottage for two weeks. It had everything we needed and worked perfect for our family of 4--two teenagers. The location is great--walk across the street and you are on one of the best beaches in Eleuthera. Also close to a great grocery store-Tony is a nice guy and has good prices. The unit was clean and the beds were comfortable. AC worked great as did wifi. The dryer quit and the owner had a new one in the next day-incredible service! The outside shower was wonderful and the yard was kept up nice. We also loved the front porch. Plenty of towels. We never turned on the TV but there is one with direct tv. We would definitely stay here again and can't wait to return to this beautiful island."

"Island Vibes
Me and my hubs thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Key Lime Cottage was in a lovely location. I can not imagine another location being better. The cottage was comfortable and supplied with all we needed. We met the caretakers at their Friday/Saturday Bar-b-que and we're the loveliest people. I highly recommend stopping for their food.

A major highlight was the locals. Everyone was warm, friendly and delightful to talk to. I loved the relaxed vibe on the island. There were no fast food or restaurant chains in Eleuthera. I loved all the secluded beaches. A busy beach might have had 12-15 people. the views were all breathtaking.

We traveled the island north to south stopping at different beaches, Twin Coves, Surfers Beach, Ten Bay, Tay Bay, Rainbow Bay, Tippy's beach, Harbor Island, to name a few. We explored caves and snorkeled and met other vacationers.

We ate at Tippy's Restaurant, Harbor Pointe, Delish restaurant, Rainbow Inn restaurant, and several small take out places like DJ's Cafe and Cravings. I would recommend them all.

I recommend Eleuthera Island and Key Lime Cottage to friends, family, and strangers.

"Key Lime Cottage Delight!
The overall experience in our Eleuthera vacation and our stay at Key Lime Cottage was terrific. Key Lime Cottage was a very nice play to stay in. Nicely detailed, plenty of room for my wife and I. We loved having breakfast each morning on the veranda. Also, the very short 500 ft. walk to Rainbow Beach each morning was super cool. We also liked that the location of the cottage was central to many of the places north and south that we ended up going to each day. But also, we spent two of our 10 days right there on Rainbow Bay Beach just relaxing in the sun, wading in the clear waters and snorkeling. The local team as well as the owner and management team was always super responsive. A really terrific vacation. Thanks so much!"

"Key Lime Kismet

Absolutely loved our stay at Key Lime Cottage. Felt right at home. Great location, easy walk to beautiful beach, central location for exploring other beaches and towns. Well furnished home, quick response to repair hot water issue. Caretaker Brenda and her team were lovely and did a great job.

Loved the front porch with sun or shade.

Spent a very relaxing week here. I don't hesitate to recommend it."

"Very nice
Very nice, we would come back anytime. Sarah was quick with all correspondence. Brenda and Lisa management staff were helpful. I wish they would bury 3.5 % credit card charge ln their nightly cost (the only way you may pay and your charged for it. I must have missed that class in good business 101. It would be kinder and more friendly if VRBO just hide it, we are travelers not cash targets for the cost +++."

"Perfect spot
The Key Lime Cottage in Rainbow Bay was the perfect little spot for our anniversary trip. The house is located across the street from one of the best beaches on Eleuthera. There’s a little trail directly across the street to the beach. You are secluded by landscaping so it feels super private. The home had everything we needed and would definitely stay here again. "

"Key Lime Cottage
Well situated near Rainbow Bow Bay beach, one of the most beautiful and best swimming and snorkeling beaches on Eleuthera. Very clean and comfortable home. Well maintained with two bedrooms and two baths. Local management was very friendly and helpful. No problem with check in or check out. Home is in the nice neighborhood of Rainbow Bay and about five miles from the town of James Cistern which several small grocery stores.
Would stay at Key Lime Cottage again.

"Paradise found
Take off your watch and turn off the phone..Time to experience island paradise at this location..Nice easy location and quick drive from airport. We were met my Brenda and Lisa, the caretakers, and they answered all our question..With off season and covid policy, there were not alot of places open..We ate several meals at Mels down the queens highway and of course you have to visit Brenda and Billys weekend BBQ meals...Some beach access is rough roads, but we went to blue hole in Rock Sound,Surfers beach,Cocodemama was right off the highway..Of course you have to visit Harbor island pink sand beaches.. We were the only ones on the beach, due to resorts being closed..Seemed like every afternoon we would end up at Rainbow Bay right across the street.. Nice clear water with swimming and snorkeling..Unit is nicely furnished and had plenty of water toys, coolers and other items you would was nice to have a house right across from the beach.. Most times we were the only ones at the beach and really nice sunsets... Looking forward to another visit to the friendly island of Eleuthera"

"Love the location
We have visited Eleuthera many times and always have a wonderful experience. The location of this house was great. The beds slept comfortable and the kitchen had everything you need. We could walk across the street to the beach and the kids could swim and snorkel and were always having fun!"

"Great location
The Rainbow Bay beach is in a very protected cove. Its calm when other beaches are rough. Easy walk.

House was as represented, could use a bit of updating. Outside shower was great after coming back from swimming. The deck is very comfortable on hot afternoons when there is a breeze, you can hear the ocean, but only a sliver of water shows above the vegetation between house and beach.

Plenty of grocery stores, restaurants and beaches to explore north and south of this location. Prices were double what we were expecting for food, both in restaurants and grocery stores, the good news was there were no shortages."

"Best vacation ever
My husband and I stayed at Key Lime Cottage for 21 days in April. The house was perfect for us! It is simple, well maintained, clean and right across the road from one of Eleuthera’s best beaches. The caretakers, Brenda and Billy Stubbs are so wonderful and helpful, the owner was also very nice. This was our 5th trip to Eleuthera and WE WILL BE BACK! "Beautiful peaceful and full of Love!
This was my second time back to the island and what a beautiful area to stay on the island. Rainbow bay offered all the seclusion one would want and a great cay to snorkel with crystal clear water! The key lime cottage was perfect for the two of us, close to beach, close to restaurant as well as the Big rock grocery store. We were able to explore both the south and north sides of the island due to the location of the cottage. We will be back!"

"Great home only steps from a great beach!!
This house is very nice inside and out. The large porch gives a view of the Caribbean over the trees just across the street. The kitchen is well appointed with everything you need to cook your own meals. The grill made ribs and chicken an easy choice a couple nights. The washer/dryer got us home with clean laundry. We always shut the ac off when we left the house, but it would cool down in just a couple minutes when we got back.....if we even needed to turn it on. Many evenings our sunburn kept us cool enough. You are a very short walk down the road across the street to one of the nicest beaches we found on the island. The beach was never crowded and after a small rocky patch at the shoreline you can choose your depth to sit/stand in powder sand. There are several palapas to shade yourself. There are fish,fans,corals, etc around the rock outcropping on both sides of the crescent beach and out around the small island/peninsula, and it is shallow enough to walk all the way there. Should you want to brave the Atlantic side, which was quite rough during our stay, it is a short drive across the main road behind the house. You could even likely walk there in 10 minutes. Loved our stay and will definitely be back!"

"Beach heaven
Perfectly located cottage! We loved having the beach right across the street! This island has so many gorgeous beaches and you have them all to yourselves. The cottage was perfect for our needs, and the caretakers friendly and helpful. They also have a great barbecue on Fridays and Saturdays! The restaurants we went to had great food but twice to triple the amount you’d pay in the States. Same for groceries. Be prepared for that. Otherwise would totally recommend staying at Key Lime Cottage!"

"Very comfortable cottage in Rainbow Bay
We just returned from a week's stay at the very comfortable Key Lime Cottage across the road from the Rainbow Bay Beach. It had all the comforts of home and was nicely decorated. The owner and caretakers were very responsive to any communication. The cottage is conveniently located 1 mile away from the Rainbow Inn Restaurant and close by to Big Rock General Store. We appreciated having a beach umbrella and chairs for spending our days at the beach. Thanks so much!"

"Key Lime Cottage
Our stay at Key Lime was incredible to say the least. The location of the rental was placed perfectjust out of town that you felt you truly were secluded. The cottage was spacious and came with all the necessary amenities needed to make our home away from home a breeze.. Rainbow Bay being across the street was a slice of heaven. The snorkeling was amazing in the pristine terquiose water. We traveled the island from pointe to pointe, covering all 110 miles. The overall expense was a great fit for our budget and we will be returning. "

Eleuthra is beautiful with many great beaches and good eateries.
Harbour Island and Spanish Wells made for a lovely excursion
You really need a car as getting around for us was difficult because we had no vehicle but relied on a friend to drive us."
