"great location for vacation!
We stayed at Sealodge for our visit to Kauai for a four day holiday. The location was perfect for our hiking and kayaking adventures. The apartment was comfortable and we were able to see whales off shore out the window. The kitchen was sufficiently stocked for cooking a few of our meals. We would definitely stay again."

"Stay at Sealodge G4
we have stayed at Sealodge before but this was our first time in G4. The views from the dining table as pictured and the lanai were exquisite as was the sound of the breaking surf. The upgraded pool facility was nice, parking was easy, location and access to Princeville cannot be beat. The unit has had some upgrades, but it is a bit run down. One the stove burners did not work, and the some of the kitchen items were sparse (3 wineglasses total). It was nice to have beach chairs, towels, etc. for our use. The barbecue situation is inadequate, requiring charcoal and a walk down a rutted path but understandable given the wood shake buildings. Management was easy to work with. I think we will return, perhaps to another unit."

"Delightful!
Location, location, location! If watching waves and listening to the sounds of the ocean are your priorities- this rental is perfect. The pictures accurately show the property. It felt very private, was quiet and well maintained. Highly recommend for a couple. "

"Beautiful ocean view Condo
It exceeded our expectations. We loved our stay here at Sealodge G4. The view was incredible from the living room and bedroom!! It was so relaxing to see and hear the ocean breeze. However- be aware- there is no A/C. The weather was a high of 85 when we were there. There are several extra fans to put out to pull in the ocean breeze. We were never uncomfortably warm. There is beach gear to use for 2 people. There is a washer dryer in the condo which was nice for the wet beach clothes/towels during our stay. We would definitely come back!"

"Wonderful location and view
This was my first visit to Hawaii and this rental on Kaua'i was a great place to stay. Very quiet, fabulous view and great location. The toilet started leaking on day 5 and the maintenance person arrived within 2 hrs, fixed it within 30 min. Ants visited the counters but it wasn't terrible. Overall a great week!"

"DON'T RECOMMEND PROPERTY FOR A CLASSY VACATION
Condo was shabby, drab (colors were brown and gray), not in good condition. View is great but the condition of the condo detracted from the experience. Furnishings were worn and uncomfortable, TV was broken (replaced after 2 days), outside light was inoperable (replaced after 2 days), stove and refrigerator were very old and worn, minor repairs were shoddy, locks on windows were broken and replaced with removable stops, interior paint was chipped and poorly applied, exterior shingles were missing, broken, worn and extremely unattractive, bedding was old and drab, bottom sheet did not fit mattress, dishes and silverware were mismatched leftovers, kitchen not well equipped, no beach towels provided (chair mats were represented to be towels), windows and screens were dirty and affected the view. Almost no decor or amenities. Pool was unavailable because of "renovation (per mgmt co.) but no work was underway. Lots of rules imposing obligations on lessees and suggesting we were inclined to be destructive and to be thieves. It is clear that very little money has been spent on the property in decades. "

Overall this was a positive rental experience, but if you are considering renting this property, there were some definite issues to be aware of.
Cons:
There were 4 dishwasher pods provided for our 6 night stay - why not just provide adequate amount?
There was no kitchen towels provided at all, and no dish sponge or scrubby. No way to wash pots or pans, or wipe down counters or clean anything.
There were literally 2 kleenex tissues in our box with no backup box provided.
No wine glasses, very little glassware at all.
Cooking pans need to be replaced, very scratched.
Pillows on the bed are terrible.
Bathmats need to be replaced, they are gross.
PROS:
New bed mattress was very nice and comfortable
Beach supplies provided were very convenient. There was a cooler, 2 beach chairs, beach towels and some misc toys.

"Wonderful, relaxing location
We were worried about the lack of A/C but it wasn't really an issue. The image looking out at the ocean from the dining table really says it all. Amazing sunrise when I accidentally woke up and saw it.
My only complaint was that the last day when we were away from the VRBO someone came in and "borrowed" the small cooler without us being there. Then after we officially checked out the mgmt said we'd taken the cooler and charged us for it. Only $25 but we never even used it...plus it meant someone else came into the property while we were renting it."

"Another great getaway
We had a great getaway to Princeville as always. And our condo was a big part of that experience. Thank you especially for giving us a couple extra hours on our check out day. The only suggestions we have is that it's probably time to let go of the additional COVID cleaning fee as there isn't really anything additional needed anymore. We did leave a list in the condo of a couple things that need some attention, but none of them were items that hindered our trip any. "

Good Value. Great place to sleep, watch whales, and take a shower. Hanging out to read is uncomfortable. The furniture is dated and awkward. The lawn chais are great. Not a cooks kitchen. The Knives are subpar and the peeler is unusable. There are great beach chairs, towels and toys for beach outings. The bed was fabulous with a supper view. Great views from angles.

"Kauai Vacation
Kauai island is heaven on earth. Sealodge rental property was the perfect location, nicely equipped with supplies and clean. Does need some updates to the rooms and pool area. I did request some new snorkeling goggles since mine had a crack in them and didn’t receive them. The sliding screen door wanted to come off the grooves. Just needed some minor maintenance and decor improvements. "

"The Good The Bad andvThe Ugly
Arrived in afternoon. Got lost trying to find the place. Directions were very poor. Went out to get a bite to eat and couldnt find our way back to condo.Torrential rains and couldnt read street signs in the dark. Place was nice but bed was only comfortable furniture. No lights for reading in bedroom. Couch very uncomfortable. Stove top in terrible condition. Sliding door needs replacement. All door locks were difficult to use.Lots of rain not enough sunshine. Torrential rains last 2 days, possible tornado then road closings. Left for airport in flash floods. Roads were unbelievable.Condo was acceptable but quite small."

"Beautiful Location
The picture tells the story, nice dining view over the ocean. Wish the orientations of build was just a bit more to right so that the lighthouse was in the view. On Kauai North, the sun sets over the mountain so you don’t have best sunsets ��.
If you are a walker 4 small hidden beach’s are with in walking distance, and many larger beach’s are within 15-20 minute drive.
Actual property is a bit dated, screen door jumps off it’s track, locks on doors were difficult to work, and kitchen was basic but adequate with appliances. Ice maker was not working, but had four ice we get by.
Excellent entertainment center and internet.
Bed was comfortable, very high, and no night stands or reading lights.
One negative was homeowners association only has a couple charcoal BBQ’s, no gas, I love to BBQ, but didn’t since it is hassle to use charcoal. No hot tub at the pool either. Just be aware, we still sautéed nice fish, in a pan. But prefer BBQ.
The area is fairly quiet and people nice. It was a quiet week for us, and we saw more chickens, and nene than people. Unless we walk to the two resorts."

"Great view of the ocean
Let me first say that this location was excellent, looking over the bluff to the ocean through the corner windows and from the patio. That was beautiful! And the sound of the crashing waves was great to fall asleep to. Beautiful sunrises were just outside the patio door a few steps too. What's not to like about this location? The unit was comfortable and included bogey boards, beach chairs and an beach umbrella for use.
That being said, I must mention for the benefit of the owners that:
1. 1 of the bath towels and 2 of the hand towels had stains on them.
2. both the sliding door and the sliding screen were off their tracks which made them difficult to operate and lock. I placed them back in their tracks, so that is done.
3. the bedroom fan only had one speed - high - because the chain was missing that controlled the speed. It would have been nice a couple of nights to have had the medium speed.
4. two of the sidewalk lights were out near the building our unit was in, which made it difficult to see the sidewalk as we walked toward the building in the dark.
5. The corner windows were less than clean inside and out, the windows that are the very best feature of the unit.
All of these conditions are easily remedied and hope that the owners will see fit to make the corrections for the future occupants of this unit.
Nevertheless, thank you for the opportunity to stay at Sealodge G4.

"Best Kauai Getaway Home!!
This place was incredible. My wife and I were celebrating our honeymoon, and just checked of the Hyatt and into this amazing cute Hawaiian condo. We immediately felt relaxed and at home. Breathing taking views not only from the lanai, but from any place in the house. The condo is equipped with all the beach gear you need to snorkel and spend the day at the beach. We also made dinner almost every night, and the kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans and utensils. Also, a plus was location, this place is close to a market, and 10-15 minutes from some of the best beaches on the island!! This place was so perfect we hope to visit this unit again in the near future!! Don’t miss out on this amazing place."

We spent 6 nights at Sealodge G4 and felt it was a wonderful Kauai location. The condo was clean and well appointed. Having a washer/dryer in unit was an appreciated bonus. We had amazing views of sunrises and sunsets from the lanai. The Sealodge Beach, a short hike away was secluded & beautiful. The various ceiling and standing fans adequately handled any late September heat. We really appreciated all the efforts made by Kauai Kahuna Vacation Rentals to ensure our stay was enjoyable. We’re looking forward to staying here again next time. "

07/24/2019 Disclaimer: We are an over 55 couple who have no ties with the Sealodge organization and are under no obligation to say anything positive about our stay. The good news is that we were extremely happy with our small (but comfortable) condominium. The photos on the website accurately represent how the condo is laid out. However, what you can't tell from the photographs is how comfortable the bed is or how pleasant the breeze feels. While the bathroom and kitchen are less than beautiful, they meet our basic needs. Another thing you can not tell from photos is how quite and tranquil the entire complex is (both day and night). Although you could occasionally hear footsteps coming from upstairs, the sound was never obtrusive.
All total, we spent a little over a week in Kauai and can't wait to return. We would be more than happy to return to this amazing little bungalow. "

"Excellent Stay in Kauai
My husband and I vacationed in Kauai and Maui for our honeymoon and booked a few nights stay at Sealodge G4 for the Kauai stretch of our trip. The property was exactly as advertised—amazing, quiet oceanfront location, perfect for a couple.
The condo itself was extremely comfortable and offered all of the amenities we were looking for. Princeville is also a perfect location for those looking to explore everything the north shore area has to offer. We even ventured all the way around the island to Waimea Canyon one day and were back in time for dinner in nearby Hanalei Bay.
The property is close to the nearby surf town of Hanalei Bay, which we visited almost daily. The town has a cool, laid-back vibe and offers a lot of great dining options for any time of the day. We also did a Na Pali boat tour, which was an absolutely amazing experience.
There are also many beaches along the north shore that we explored and are worth checking out. We found them for the most part uncrowded, and each offered a unqiue experience. The ones we liked best were Sealodge Beach (right near the condo) and Secret Beach. Unlike many of the beaches we visited in Maui, these beaches have a wealth of natural shade from the beautiful trees lining the beaches.
The property was clean and well-maintained. The towels were well-stocked and there were even beach towels, beach chairs and snorkel gear. This provided us with essentials for exploring nearby Sealodge Beach (a definite gem).
Kauai Kahuna Vacation Rentals provided us with a seamless renting experience. They provided all of the condo and check-in information well in advance. They even reached out to us via phone a few days before our trip and upon arriving to make sure we were all set and to answer any last minute questions. I've rented a lot of properties through VRBO and this company went above and beyond anyone else I've dealt with!
I highly recommend this property to anyone travel"

"Amazing views!
Initially we were disappointed with the interior of unit G4. The complex is dated (which we knew) & interior upgrades are somewhat hodgepodge like new countertops on old cabinets. But, the place grew on us the longer we were there. The views from the ground level lanai are hard to beat. Overall, the unit was adequate and comfortable. The kitchen has the basic amenities and the property management company was quick to react to a suggestion we had. The bed was comfortable. It was nice to have use of washer/dryer and beach equipment. The complex is quiet and peaceful and the chickens and nenes provided entertainment. We would consider staying here again. "

"Great views, overall nice place!
We were celebrating an anniversary and wanted just some relaxing downtime, and this place was ideal. Down at the end of the road on a point, the view was great. Place was well-stocked with plates and silverware, laundry and laundry supplies, even beach chairs/umbrella/boogie board. Bed was king size and super-comfortable (downside: no room for bedside tables). The place was very clean, but could use a few updates in the kitchen and bathroom, etc to be called pristine. Nonetheless, we would recommend G4 to anyone looking for a really nice place with a beautiful view."

"Nice quiet place with great views
Condo isn’t fancy but the view is great and was everything we needed. Quiet location with outstanding view. Extras in the condo - lawn chairs, beach towels etc were great to have. My husband and I stayed in this unit for a few days on the first leg of our honeymoon. The views CANNOT be beat. The unit was a little dated but had all the necessary amenities- WiFi, full kitchen, etc.

"Baby Geckos and all
We stayed here for a week. It's a great place for a couple with fantastic ocean views from your bed. I wouldn't stay here with more than 1 other person as it's not a very big place. The booklet left for us was an incredibly valuable resource. Don't even bother trying to take the "path" to the beach as the posted signs suggest. You won't make it and you'll be frustrated the whole way by the steep and muddy inclines. Trust me, I'm an experienced hiker. Other than that, my favorite part of staying here was getting nightly / morning visits from a baby gecko who was so small I couldn't even pick him up. Wonderful little friend to keep us company."

"Great unit and location
This was a beautiful location with great views. At night we could hear the sound of the ocean which was nice. The unit is the perfect size for 2 people or 2 adults and your children. I think it would be too small for 4 adults. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking accessories. I do think the bedroom needs a bit more light for reading- perhaps lamps that hook to the head board. "

SeaLodge views are worth a million bucks. Very comfy inside. Sunrise every am. Refreshing pool but no jacuzzi. I was surprised that bbq is not gas (so didn’t use because I’m not about to brickets). We would definitely come back"
