"Panoramic Ocean views
Unit# F9 was a gorgeous stay with panoramic Ocean views. The Unit does not have A/C but tower fans are provided (one in living room, 1 in bedroom). The cot which was right by the window in the living room was where I chose to sleep in order to feel as much ocean breeze as possible while I slept. I loved the experience of hearing the waves as I slept. The only complaint would be that the living room cot is heavily used with springs creaking and almost poking out. The Unit was neat, clean and had everything you would need for a short stay.
The bonus: The view on the backside - seen through the kitchen windows or from the apartment entrance - unobstructed lush green mountains views, swirling fog and beautiful sunrise/sunset colors. To have both green mountain views and ocean views was truly a blessing. Location of Sealodge is central to most things on North shore Kauai. I would definitely stay here again."

"Great ocean view
The views are incredible from this property. The interior is dated and run down. The kitchen, bathroom, and mattress are in bad shape. We have stayed in other Sealodge properties that were dated as well, but they were not this run down. If not for the view, I would give this property a very poor rating. "

"30 years in the same place!
We've been coming to F9 for over 30 years, in fact we were first renting from the original owner. The property is in a great location and we had a relaxing stay. The property needs painting, and updating in the kitchen (stove is questionable, refrigerator was very temperamental and the faucet had a broken piece which didn't impact its function but looked tacky) and bathroom (the same dim overhead lights for years, low height vanity area with a compromised faucet and the remnants of non-slip butterfly decals in the tub that have been there for years!!!). It's still lovely to sit on the lanai and watch the sea and would be perfect if the unit had some TLC."

"Peaceful and Serene
We absolutely love to sleeping with the windows open, getting to hear the ocean all through the night. What a beautiful way to wake up. Would encourage some updates on the mattresses, but otherwise our stay was fantastic!"

View was great! Loved the back porch. Very Quiet condo compared to others we stayed at on the island. The bed is old. The pillows are abysmal. I feel if they were updated I could get over the bed. Kitchen was appointed well."

"Couldn't get any help.
The unit was a little dated and in need of paint but the view and location made up for it. Biggest problem was not being able to get Kauai Kahuna to respond or even answer the phone to help us with a problem. There were 5 remote controls for the TV and no instruction on which to use. Went 3 and a half days trying to figure out how to get volume on the TV. Never did get any help. They wouldn't even answer the emergency number we were given. Called it 5 times."

The view from F9 is truly spectacular. If you are only here for a couple of nights it is probably enough to sustain you. If you’re there for longer then you start to realize this unit really needs some TLC. Paint for sure. It would be nice to have a shower or brush your teeth without feeling you were courting a plumbing disaster, and the fact that for 2 weeks rental we were left with one roll of t.p. , and 1 garbage bag, But , the view is Sooooo good , so you try to forget about the other things....... Then one night your awake at 2 am and you hear a funny noise ( I’m awake because the bed is soft and makes my back hurt) you find there is a 2” long cockroach running back and forth on the headboard. Thank goodness that was our last night. "

"Nice stay cut short by serious fall
Have rented at Sea Lodge before, though not this unit. This unit was bit dated but more than adequate. Lovely lanai views. All that we needed was at hand short a can opener. Unfortunately on third day I took a bad fall on trail up from beach. Had to be flown out on helicopter. Spent four days in hospital with broken pelvis. My wife spent one more night there before checking out to be closer to hospital. Only beef with management company was no response to wife’s call and e-mail informing them of what had happened. No expectation of refund but some show of concern would have been nice. Oh the beach was lovely. Would stay at Sea Lodge again but this unit wouldn’t be first choice ."

"Staying in paradise
We've stayed in Sealodge several times. This was our first time in F9.The views, as always, are incredible. In general, everything was in good condition, except the bed. Its age is showing. A new mattress would be wonderful."

"Great View
The property has a great location on the north coast with a beautiful view. It was quiet except for the roosters. It could use a few updates in the kitchen and maybe ceiling fans. We enjoyed sitting on the porch watching the ocean and listening to the waves."

"Clean Apartment with Fabulous Views
This apartment was perfect for our stay in Kauai. It was very clean and included all the amenities we needed. One plus was all that was included - items for beach, games in the apartment, books.. We were very satisfied. It's a little dated, but that was made up for in the cleanliness of the place. There were a few lights that didn't work, so hopefully those can get fixed. Otherwise, the manager was very helpful and communicative, and we enjoyed to quiet location and would stay there again."

"Perfect location with stunning views
We loved our stay in this lovely condominium fully equipped with everything you need. We loved sitting on the deck and watching the whales in the morning. The view is fantastic. The area was lovely but also close to wilderness and beaches. I enjoyed snorkeling at Anini Beach and Tunnels Beach. We also recommend taking a boat trip on the Na Pali Coast. It's a once in a lifetime experience."

"Hot and needs updating - Good location
The unit we were in, F9, was extremely hot the entire time we were there. The windows are on the walls where you get no breeze at all so the hot air just stayed in the unit no matter what. Our other friends in two other units did not have this problem so their units were cooler by 10-15 degrees the entire time. Also, the unit was way more outdated than the other two units with gross carpet, old furnishings, etc. I will say the view from the balcony was amazing though! I would return to SeaLodge for the beauty and location of the condos, but I would never book this unit again or recommend it to anyone. The hike to the SeaLodge beach is a little further than I prefer, but as long as you can hike, it is a magical beach."

"F 9 again
We've been here many times before and have enjoyed it. The tamarisk tree on the west side of the G building is growing and slowly taking away our view of the ocean and reef, which is part of what gives great value to this unit. The picture in this view is what it used to look like, but not now."

"Lovely views
The property description is very accurate. The property is quite dated, but clean. There is no air conditioning, and the way this unit is situated the breezes are minimal. It is up 5 flights of stairs. The queen bed is quite comfortable, but the twin bed is not. The bathroom is tiny and desperately needs a new showerhead. Wifi and free parking are great, and the management company was very kind and helpful. They called the day before our arrival and the day after to make sure everything was ok. There is a great variety of beach items in the unit (beach chairs, snorkeling gear with fins, cooler, beach towels, boogie boards), but the hike down to the beach is not an easy one."

"Location /viewA+, A bargain if you don't mind somethings outdated
pros - location is great if you want to be on the north side of Kauai, view from the lanai and the kitchen window were wonderful, parking and grounds were well kept, condo was spacious, and it was nice to have a washer and dryer. Being on the third floor was nice for us, but people that struggle with stairs would not like to climb all the stairs. Condo appeared clean.
Cons - condo is pretty outdated, areas in the kitchen floor were a little soft, bathroom areas were small, not much space for toiletries, showerhead needs to be replaced and no plug for tub-so no bathing, mattress was basic (felt cheap and worn out). We had no working coffee pot or wifi for 2.5 days even though we reported this on day one (property mang. was slow in getting back and responding). No AC which was not an issue, except on last day when they were fumagating the unit right next to us and we had no warning and we were worried about chemicals, so we kept windows closed. Lastly, I prefer hard surface floors so the rug in the living area and bedroom was not my preference.
I feel this condo was less expensive than some others I viewed. If you prefer a good bargain over a newer condo with nicer amenities, then this might work for you. We would choose to spend more to have an updated condo. As mentioned earlier, property management staff we spoke with were friendly, but slow to get back to us, which resulted in delays getting a working coffee pot and access to wifi. We requested a late check out 24 hours in advance, our flight was not leaving until 10pm. Was told they would let us how long we could stay past 10am, no one called back, I tried before 10am about 5 times, calls went to voicemail. Not wanting to be penalized for leaving late without permission, we left by 10am. We received a call at 2:30pm that we could stay late. Since we had already cleared everything out and were doing something else, we declined. "

"Million Dollar View
The location of the condo and the incredible view are wonderful, in a very quiet neighborhood. The unit has all you need from washer-dryer to snorkeling gear/boogie boards, small ice chest and beach chairs. It is up 5 flights (8-9 steps each), dated and some things don't function smoothly.HOWEVER, we enjoyed our stay and the rental group was helpful."

"A great view of ocean from rental
Our vacation was very great had a great time and would love to come back. It would also be great if could get down to beach area at rentals. I love the view of ocean. We will to different beaches to be able to walk on beaches. I got some very great pictures of vacation. We went to Pearl Harbor Tour on one day it was great. The sealodge F9 was very nice clean and comfortable."

Beautiful location great view. Condo couldbe updated, especially the kitchen. We could have used more laundry detergent and bleach to do the white towels because we were there a week. A shoe tray for just inside the door would be nice. Also a 1st aid kit. We appreciated the boogie boards, snorkel equipment, and chairs. Mahalo!"
