Our traditional beach town stilt home has all of the accommodations necessary for the perfect vacation. Since location is everything, you won’t be disappointed with the 3 minute drive to the Gulf of Mexico, restaurants and shopping. STR# 382635
INTERIOR FEATURES:
ISLAND VIBES 2.0 has been recently updated with a modern beachy feel. This 2 bedroom 2 bathroom stilt home has stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, shiplap, vinyl flooring, tiled bathrooms and a breakfast bar. There is a fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, free private Wi-Fi, cable tv, towels, linens and plenty of room to relax. Each bedroom will have a Queen-size bed there is also a sleeper sofa for additional guests. Winter Texans and long-term renters are always welcome. Please be aware there are external audio cameras on this property. This is a pet friendly rental. Please request the pool heater when making reservations. Takes at least 24 hours to heat the pool.
EXTERIOR FEATURES:
Located at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, there is covered parking for two. Bring your boat, trailer, golf cart and other vehicles. Don’t forget your fishing poles, surf boards, pool floaties and all of your gear. There is a secured storage/laundry room to keep your personal items. Relax on your covered balcony with the sounds and all of the gulf breeze feels. Furry friends are welcome to enjoy the private fenced yard. Wash off the sand in the outdoor shower and take a dip in your private in-ground swimming pool. Other family friendly amenities include a volleyball net, putting green, basketball hoop, yard for playing games and soaking up the sun.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Contracting guests must be at least 25 old, have a valid State Driver’s License or other acceptable ID, and present throughout the entire stay
- This is a PET-FRIENDLY RENTAL. Pet fees are an additional $20.00+tax, per pet, per night. A maximum of 3 pets are allowed. Additionally, a pet-cleaning fee is also charged, which is $50 for stays of 7 days or less, $75 for stays of 8-29 days, and $100 for stays of 30 or more days.

"Best condo house ever
Best place I have ever rented. Everything was provided and amazing. Perfect 2 bdrm home for 2 couples to stay the weekend. The pictures for kitchen do not do it justice, it is a large kitchen. Pool floats provided as well. Will definitely rent again"

"Quiet jungle oasis
This rental was in a very quiet spot at the end of a cul de sac with very little traffic. We are early to bed and early risers heading to the beach so this was perfect for us. Pool was good size and flocked with beautiful tropical plants. There are two outdoor showers for guest use which made it for a quick rinse off for all the guests. "Winter Escape 2023
Our first Escape MN winter to Port Aransas but will not be our last as we loved the whole experience and area. Port Aransas is a wonderful location and area and has so many places to go and things to see. The house we had rented was updated with kitchen appliances and bathrooms and beds were comfortable and cozy. Only negative we felt about the house is the water temperature in bath and shower. The unit does not have a conventional water heater but one of those new wall mounted box types that apparently heats the water as it goes through it. Takes a long time to get hot water in the shower or tub. The water temperature could be turned up hotter as would have shower on full hot and was hot but not hot enough that you had to adjust it at all and the same as the bathtub. Not a big deal for our overall enjoyment of the place. Pool was fine but would have been much more enjoyable if the water temperature would have stayed between 85 to 90 degrees. The pool heater was set at 90 degrees but the heater adjusts with the air temperature so it the outside temp is in the 50s for a couple days the pool water temp drops to 60s and 70s then when it gets warm outside it takes 2 days to get the pool temp up to the mid 80s. Talked to the people in the rental next door with a pool and they advised the pool temp never changed and was always in the upper 80s or 90. Still more enjoyable than trying to swim in Minnesota. We loved riding bikes all around the area and up the Gulf Beach on a daily basis(weather permitting) Loved the shops and unique restaurants as well as the friendly people we met at the various places we went. The staff at Port A Escapes was wonderful and prompt in responding to e mails the 2 time the pool heater quit working. Port Aransas will now be our winter escape location after 10 years of trying other states and locations. Thank You Port A Escapes and Port Aransas."

"Super cute beach house
This beach house is absolutely adorable. I wanted a place with a private pool cause my kids are a little scared of the ocean, too much shark shows. It was very clean and very relaxing. My only complaint (I mean if you want to call it a complaint) is the check in and out times. We got there around 2:30 and just waited til 4. No one was there, it was clear that the place was ready but didn’t get the text til 4 which i get it that’s the time they said. But then the check out time was 11. I guess I thought with a late check in time, not to mention the amount of money we paid for this place, I thought it would be a later check out time. I must have missed this when I booked. Will I stay again? I personally would Probably not. It is a very nice place, I loved it but They have cheaper places where we could stay. "

"Fun Family Rental
Stayed as a family of 5 June 2022. Pictures are accurate. House & linens very clean upon arrival. Beds comfortable & kitchen well stocked. Kids loved the pool & basketball goal. We rented a cart from Jackfish & the beach was a quick ride away. We ate at PortA Pizzeria & it was a hit for all ages. Otherwise we made meals at the house. Loved having the outdoor shower/wash area to clean up after the beach & the ability to do laundry. Communication was easy throughout the process. Bring pool/beach towels, hand soap for the kitchen sink, spices & coffee (keurig & regular pot with a few filters). There were a few camp chairs in the storage room but no beach chairs or beach umbrella so bring those if you'd like them. We had a very nice stay."

"beachy keen
This was a cute house and perfect size. It was very clean. It was very close to everything. The pool area is nice but could use some shaded area. We had a great stay. I will say that there could be a few fixes. The front porch railing was not kid safe with the huge gap at the bottom which was big enough for a baby to fall through. The master bath needs the floor tiles fixed and the toilet was loose from the floor. All in all, its a great house and we would stay again."

"Great getaway home
We are seasoned VRBO renters. The house is as described. The house is in a great location, on a cul de sac and tucked away from the traffic. The beach is 6 blocks down the street. Beds are comfy, A/C blows cold and the pool was very well maintained.
If you plan to cook, the kitchen is well appointed. It has no spices, salt or pepper so bring everything with you. W/D are downstairsin carport and work great.
The neighboring rental got a little rowdy one night but that was expected on Memorial day. They shut down at a reasonable hour so no foul.
I would say 2 couples max. any more would be "cozy".

"Great Stay!
This home was beyond perfect! From the location to the private pool. We will definitely be re-booking in the future. The only thing I did not appreciate were the surrounding neighbors allowing their pets to poop in our yard. There is a sign that clearly states to pick up after your pet and I did each time for my little chihuahua. Every morning there would be new LARGE droppings and I knew they weren’t ours. We do not want to get blamed for not picking up but I don’t feel I should pick up after others. It should be the same respect all around. Other than that, great location."

"Great location and cute house!
We had a nice trip to Port A and enjoyed this little house. The location is great close to both town and beach. Although it was a bit cool outside we enjoyed the pool and outside space. The living and kitchen areas were nice and clean. The beds are a bit firm and the pillows are not great so bring your own pillow and you will sleep well. The Wi-Fi is a challenge on the island so if you plan to work from the house you may have issues. The cable was also out on the island our whole stay. Not the owners fault but something to consider as it sounds like this happens regularly. Overall it was a nice spring break getaway. "

"Perfect Gem!
This place was perfect! Nicely updated and decorated - loved the walk in shower. Having our own pool was great and we did use it in between going to the beach. Pet friendly and even had spare poop bags under the kitchen sink...thank you! Only thing I would recommend is a sign in the back area with the putting green posting that it is private property. I watched the people that were staying in the rentals right across the driveway let their dog out to wander into the yard and use it and didn't pick up after it so I did. Beyond that this place is located close to everything. Not close enough for me to walk to the beach but it's just a short drive. Me and my family would definitely stay here again."

"Great getaway home
Home was great for our 5 member family. House was very clean and well maintained. The location was just blocks from the center of town. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star review, was that there was no closet in the master bedroom. Not the worse thing, but I do like to hang my clothes, instead of putting them in drawers. Also, the private pool was a great bonus, but the only way to access the pool is by going downstairs and around the house. There is no backdoor that leads you to the pool. By going around the house, you have to utilize the neighbors driveway, so if there's a car parked in front of their door, then it's also parked right in front of the pool access gate. Luckily the neighbor parked further up, so it was not right in front of our gate. Despite these little things though, the house was great for our little family. I would rent this house again. "

"Perfect weekend spot!
What a charming getaway, in a perfect little vacation home The house had everything we needed - with the exception of an extra blanket for the pullout. We even had use of laundry on the first floor - where there is corn hole and tables for an evening BBQ. There is a small charcoal grill. Kitchen was fully equipped, with a great working dishwasher. The property is large for 2 bedrooms, with plenty of common areas to socialize. The rare private pool for a 2br was perfect, and quite large in size.

"Great location
Great location in town and convenient to restaurants and a very short drive (few blocks) to beach. Had a strange smell (garage/wooden/musty?) when we arrived, but bought a scented candle and that helped greatly. The pool is shallow, says 3ft on shallow end and 5ft "deep end" but don't think it was that deep. Perfect for my smaller kids, but something to consider if you want a more traditional pool. The pool is nice, but your neighbors front door/patio is right next to it, so not private. Again, for us that wasn't an issue so the location and ease of getting everywhere plus access to washer and dryer made this a great rental anyway."

"Four Year Anniversary and annual trip since 2008
I write this review with a very heavy heart and after spending a great deal of time thinking about not reviewing at all, I decided I needed to reach out. We travel to Port Aransas every year and rent a home for the week we are there and have always had a wonderful experience. Up until out last stay we had nothing to complain about, but I feel I need to inform you of our stay. For starters, the home seemed very unsafe. There were several soft spots in the floor and there was even a hole in the floor of the main bedroom. We could have easily fell through. We went to a construction site close to the property and asked for plywood to cover the area while we were there. We said the place got our sea legs prepared for our boat trip. There were several cockroaches in the drawers in the kitchen and we killed several in the trash. The fridge was not cold and there was no remote to use the TV in the second bedroom. Lastly, the most disappointing part is that we rented the home for the pool and it was unusable. It was not filled and the water was slimly. Our neighbors stated they had received a discount because their property was no longer associated with the pool, but either way, you could not use the pool due to the condition and how disgusting the water was. I was so sad overall and really wish I was not writing this review. The fridge was also not very cold and ran really loud. Overall, I am hopeful there is some sort of resolution from our stay and to make it better for the next people who stay there. But paying for pool we could not even use and feeling unsafe for walking on the floors is unacceptable and so disappointing. Not to mention the other items mentioned above that were a miss with this stay. People at the company were nice but the property was not. Thank you - feel free to call me at or email at "
