We booked this house for our annual high school softball trip to NMB. The house met our needs and expectations. It was "as described" in the listing. The house was clean and well furnished. Pool area was excellent. Only issues were hot tub jets did not work and oven did not seem to heat correctly. Overall, great experience and would definitely book again. "

Overall, we had a good stay. Very private even though on the main road. It had great beach access with 2 options across the street. The kitchen was well stocked.
We were disappointed with the condition of the pool when we first arrived. It had not been cleaned from the previous guests. We also had trouble with the dryer and the upstairs AC unit towards the end of our stay. These issues were addressed in a timely manner. The office staff were attentive to each issue and were friendly and helpful."

"Beautiful weather at Key West House
Arrived on Saturday. House was not ready until 4:30 pm. Upon arrival, TVs in both family rooms were non-functional. Calls to the realty company went unanswered Sat-Sunday. Staff came Monday afternoon and repaired the problem. Rest of our stay was great. Realty company very reaponsive to a couple of minor needs. House is older and a bit difficult to navigate as far as bathroom availability for bedrooms. Would advise taking the virtual tour before renting to make sure it works for you."

"Key West House
Well we arrived an the house was not ready till 4pm on the nose. Have stayed at other homes an never gotten in this late. It was the stated check in time but never is it the last time. Arrived an pool was green and hot tub green. Hot tub cleared up on Tuesday an pool on Wed. You rent this house for the pool. A minor refund was provided for the inconvenience but not to my approval. The pool is a $500 a day charge on a $10,000 house so refund should have been $2000. The inside was musty but that is due to it being a old home with rooms on the ground floor. The tropical storm had come through the week before an this home always gets water on lower level. There was a dehumidifier in the kitchen which told me we had moister issues. This unit put out heat all week in the living space. Kitchen was dated with a rickety door on cabinet. Floors would turn your bare feet black after a couple hours. All bathrooms were updated an nice. This is a house for adults an older kids. Would not take kids under 12 here to stay due to moister issues. Pool team did not show up till MONDAY after 6pm. As noted took them till Wed to clean up. One of the downstairs rooms was very hot an someone before us had thrown up in wash room next to it an the smell was very bad. Air condition system was set on 68 or 69 an given moister in house made it at times uncomfortable. Overall not a terrible place but not really worth $10,000 for the week more like $8,000. "

"Nice Vacation House
Nice vacation house with plenty of bedrooms. Location close to the beach was amazing. A few minutes walk and you are set up on the beach. The pool was nice for lazy days at home. NorthBeach realty was very responsive to some minor issues that we had. The cleanliness was not amazing, but not terrible."

"Key West House
We had a great time at Key West House however there were a few issues. For a house that can sleep 18 people (we were only 11) there were not enough dishes; plates or silverware. There were not any sheets or pillows for the pull-out sofas and only a total of 4 extra blankets in the whole place. When we arrived the hot tub was absolutely disgusting from the previous occupant and took several visits from the maintenance people to drain and clean it so we only got to use it maybe 2 days out of 7. The outside chairs around the pool were brittle, one broken when we got there and 2 had broken the first night just sitting in them. The house overall was fairly clean however the floors should have been mopped as our socks and feet would get dirty just walking around. The fire alarm is SUPER sensitive. We had to open the windows just to use the toaster and there wasn't any smoke.
Overall - very nice place to stay and would stay again. "

"NYE at the Key West House
Our group of 4 couples really enjoyed our stay at the Key West house! We wanted a getaway that would comfortably accommodate the 8 of us and the Key West house was perfect for the job. We spent 90% of our time in the house and everyone had a wonderful time. Beach access is right across the street and we enjoyed a few hours on the beach one evening when the weather was decent (for January timeframe). We will definitely look to come back again! "

"An Air B&B with a hotel-level support staff
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The most impressive thing was the support staff. I have rented Air B&Bs, where I didn't hear from the mgmt company after they received my money. At this residence, the mgmt company was very responsive to our calls. There was a minor issue with the bed and I told not to worry because we only had one more night. They apologize for the bed and sent someone out to fix an hour later, exceeding my expectations."

"Mixed Emotions.
Absolutely loved how close to the beach it is and close to everything we wanted to do. There was enough rooms to accommodate all of us and our children had a blast. However, the house could use a paint job considering it had “new renovations” Also, the can opener doesn’t work. DO NOT use the washer/dryer considering it ruined nearly majority of our clothes. The floors made our feet so dirty that we all wore shoes the entire time."

"Not what you expect from the name.
Anytime with your family are great times. However this started off wrong and never got right. There was the worst smell in this home (mold/mildew) downstairs. When I called the rep that was sent over seam annoyed that we had a problem with the smell. The stairs have carpet and it needs to be replaced, the cobwebs in the window and water coming into the front door was a bit much. It would be a good idea to arrive early so that you may address any issues with North Beach Realty. We has to fish the chairs out of the pool and start cleaning on arrival before our guest arrived. This wasn't a good experience for us."

"Would Not Recommend This Property
Read reviews prior to booking property. There were many unfavorable reviews so I contacted the rental company with my concerns, they assured me everything was corrected. The location was the only plus. After my initial call with the house issues, no one called back to follow-up, I had to call 3 days in a row. The floors were FILTHY dirty...could not walk barefoot without your feet being black. I wish I could post the pictures I took. The house & furniture is pretty beat up...walls dirty...3 dining room chairs were broken. The shower curtains in the two bathrooms had pink mold on them (were replaced when I called the rental company to complain). Dining room light had globe missing. I asked them to send someone to clean and when the girl arrived with the new shower curtains, she didn't know anything about it. She came back again and mopped the kitchen/dining area and downstairs living area. The floors were no cleaner after she left, just as dirty. Washer leaked water -maintenance came to fix it and we were told we could only do small loads. He left with the wash machine pulled out from the wall and left it for us to take care of. The pictures posted of the property online are deceiving. The dryer has rust spots on the top. The refrigerator is different than shown online...dents and some rust on it. The house has a musty smell to it and all the closets and end table on first floor had damp rid moisture absorbers in/on them. Saw a rat in the backyard. Outside decks have nails popping up (complaint was also made by a previous renter obviouslynothing was ever done to fix it). I asked to be compensated for the condition of the property. Asked for the cleaning fee to be refunded and they honored my request but didn't offer anything on their own. I had to ask. I sent pictures of everything to the rental company of all the issues because I did not want to be accused of the damages. The response I got back was thank you for the feedback & photos. "

The location was great only a short walk to the beach and about a 15 minute car ride to attractions and restaurants 5 mins to grocery store. When we first arrived there were a couple of small issues but Victoria handled them. Overall it was a great time had by all. I would recommend this house if asked. "

"Nice location, great pool area, though needs some work
The pool, patio, hot tub, and yard were very nice and well maintained (though the shuffleboard could have used a bit of maintenance).
The number of rooms, how many it sleeps comfortably are all very accurate. The layout of the house is very odd for a beach house. The only "living room" was downstairs with no real ocean facing views. The dining areas were large, but the main table was "well used" and felt a bit wobbly. There were no couches or significant seating (besides dining furniture) around the kitchen area. Decks were only accessible through bedroom really, so the lack of a deck accessible via a common area on the ocean side of the house was something we missed.
Beds seemed comfortable enough, but many are older and quite "squeaky".
Pots and pans were shameful... gross and nearly unusable. Plates, utensils, etc... were pretty good though there weren't enough coffee cups for our family.
Floors were mopped as we arrived, but honestly they were still pretty dirty and the house is in serious need of paint in the main living area (lots of marks on the walls).
The location, exterior spaces, and size made this an overall satisfying vacation, but there are definitely improvements that need to be made on the property, particularly the easy things (paint, pots and pans, good floor scrubbing)."

The home was accommodating for a family of 15 people. The pool was very convenient and the hot tub was great for the evening. The bathrooms were very nice.
The items in the house that could have been better maintained is the kitchen and it’s utensils. Most of the pots and pans were in extremely bad shape. The knifes
were dull and barely cut through anything. The shelves were dirty and the dishwasher soap dispenser did not work properly (It would. It open during the cycle)
The old hot tub where the ladder was still had piping coming up and was extremely sharp. We had a child cut the bottom of her toe on the pipe
The upstairs desks could use some furniture and some nails were sticking up.
It also did not seem like the flooring were swept prior to us arriving.
Overall our stay was very enjoyable!

"Great Stay at a Great Property!
Great property located in one of the nicest parts of town. The house was very clean and offered 4 recently remodeled hotel-level bathrooms. Parking for 4-5 cars in the driveway, basketball, volleyball, shuffle board, a pool and 2 hot tubs round out the list of great amenities. The owners were very responsive to any question or request and made renting very easy and our stay very enjoyable. I would recommend to any large group looking for a nice, yet affordable place to stay. Great property!"

"Great size for large group
When we arrived to the property, the hot tub was low in water and heat wasn't working. We notified the rental company and they were very quick to come out and fix the issue. Home was great in size and great location. Back yard has amazing pool where we spent most of the time. We would have loved to play volleyball but it was impossible to step on the grass as it was filled with thorns of some sort. So we were limited to the pavement and pool. Definitely suggest the owners work on the backyard more as the renters expect to use the whole house and backyard area for their stays. Overall the house accommodated all of our guests (15) and the view was amazing. House needs some updating and cleanliness but we managed. Location is perfect and close to everything :) We live in Loris and had family down from Massachusetts so we knew North Myrtle was the place to be! "

Overall the house was mediocre. We had to go pick up the keys from the office which required more money. I suggest that they start meeting the guests at the actual house for convenience. The jacuzzi was unavailable which was brought to our attention beforehand. The pool was unusable because it was filthy. I made a complaint and someone was supposed to come by and clean it. That never happened. The bathrooms had lots of mold and was dirty grout. The dining table chairs were dirty and stained. One chair was broken. The remotes to the tv's were FILTHY! Overall the house was a nice size for my family but cleanliness was NOT a priority. "

Good time again. This is the 4 th time we rented this house and will love to continue to do so. The location is great for our needs . Really liked the updates that were completed . Little disappointed that we could not have arrangements to have the hot tub up and running. It is really the centre piece of our social afternoons . Was not happy to find the towel bar in the bathroom coming off the wall. Maid service should have informed the maintenance and had it fixed before arrival. Sand in the hot tub and the pool needed some cleaning and chemicals. We were unable to find the shuffleboard items. Overall, this was a nice place for a large group."

This house has a lot of room and was just the right size for our family. The house was clean but could use an update. The down stairs smelled musky but we were able to use our doterra diffuser to help with the odor. The propane was out for the hot tub I called the office and the next morning during the Hurricane propane was delivered. Could not believe the propane company came out in the storm that was awesome service. Looking forward to an update on the house so we can stay again."

Our family loved our stay at the Key West House. We were concerned with some of the prior reviews, but upon check in, our family of 15 was very pleased. The house was well stocked with essentials, and the location couldn't be beat. The beach is not crowded here due to the lack of high rises in the area. It is perfectly located between Cherry Grove and Main Street, so tons of options for close things to do. After visiting NMB for 12 years, this is our favorite house so far. We are already looking to rent this house again for the off season as well as next summer."

"Mixed feelings... I really wanted to love this place!
I have mixed feelings about this rental... The house was not kept up well (probably because the owner is selling). The grass was long and uncut, the branches of the trees were scattered all over the property making it look disheveled. When we entered the house it was very musty smelling and there was mold on the walls in the bedroom downstairs and in all of the showers. The vents in the downstairs bedroom were dripping water. One of the bedrooms butts directly up to the laundry room making it impossible to do any late night laundry without waking up the people sleeping in the bedroom (you have to walk through the room to get to the laundry room). And ants were a problem too.
With all of the negative things out of the way, I have to say that the house suited our need for 8 adults and 10 kids. The pool was wonderful and the location of the house to the beach was perfect. . The staff at North Beach was superb! I really wanted to love this house, but I just couldn't. "

"Disappointed with overall appearance of the property.
We were so excited about renting a house so close to the beach. However, we were greatly disappointed with the overall appearance of the property. It has not been maintained for some time. There were tall weeds all around the pool area. The house needs a deep cleaning very badly. We left it cleaner than when we arrived. I bought Lysol cleaner and wiped down many items that had a grubby look to them.There are cracked tiles, mold or mildew in tubs, dead flies and dirt behind night stands and furniture. The size and layout were great but due to the property not being maintained and dirty we will not be back. "

This was our second stay at the Key West house. This house is great and perfectly located for a family beach vacation. We came with 6 adults and 7 kids (all under 7) and the house never seemed crowded. The pool and surrounding area is well maintained by landscapers but the furniture could use replacing, and for a house that big there really should be more on the porches and around the pool. The yard has the volleyball net, basketball hoop and shuffleboard which kept all the kids busy when they weren't in the pool or at the ocean. The inside of the house is ok. It could use an update, beware the kitchen table is a death trap for kids, and the main tv's are in desperate need of replacing. The kitchen is randomly stocked, lots of glasses, which the kids can't use and no one should bring by the pool, and not enough silverware for everyone, pots with no lids, and so on. We did have the AC go out on us during our stay and I emailed Victoria and within a half hour they were at the house fixing it up. Everyone that came to the house during our two week stay was very pleasant and professional. The location is fantastic being right across the street from public beach access. It would be nice if there was a crosswalk but people slowed down and let us cross, remember 7 kids all under 7! I would absolutely recommend this house for your next vacation! "

General upkeep of rental lacking- poison ivy was growing on all areas of fence and along side of house, mold was growing out of air vents and the air downstairs was not working upon arrival heat was on 90? we spent Saturday evening awaiting maintenance who did fix it, mold was also growing in showers downstairs, guests did not want children sleeping dowstairs because of mold and musty smell, home was dirty with guest finding half eaten bagel under couch and razor blade on banister, location was wonderful and pool was amazing"

The rental was like the pictures show but no air hockey game. There were some things that needed repaired but not major items (light bulbs needed replaced, fence posts loose, could use additional utensils in kitchen, no plugs to keep water in tubs for children's baths). We had a large group with various ages for our week's stay. There was something for everyone, from shuffle board to volleyball, to the beautiful pool and hot tub. The beach is across the road which made it very convenient for going to the beach or coming back to grab a sandwich."

"Great space and location
The Key West House was a great space for our multi-family vacation. Good gathering spaces in the house and loved the pool, hot tub and the short walk to the beach. However, the maintenance and cleanliness was not so great. Light bulbs needed to be replaced, floors needed to be swept, mopped and cleaned. One of the bathrooms shower was not cleaned. There was a good supply of bath towels but one hand towel per bathroom and one dish towel for the entire week is minimal at best. The kitchen was well supplied with dishes and flatware but many of the pots/pans and utensils need to be replaced. It would have been nice to have some plastic cups so we could take drinks outside by the pool (we did not want to take glass). Overall, we liked the house and would consider renting it again. "

"Best Family Vacation Ever!
Our annual family vacation consists of four generations ranging in ages 4 to 75 years young.
Key West was perfect for our family. We felt like we were at our own private resort. The pool, hot tub and volleyball court were the highlights of our vacation. We had all four generations on the volleyball court a few times and had a blast playing our hearts out.
The kitchen in the house was great for meal preparation and preparing for cook outs at the grill. I can't say a single bad thing about Key West. We would love to rent the same property next year and are already making plans to return.
It is not a new house but is clean and anytime we needed something our requests were taken care of promptly.
Thanks for a wonderful vacation!

"Great place for a large group!
We had a family of 16 stay at the house. the kids loved the pool and the ease of going to the beach. There could have been more utensils, bakeware and cookware. Some of the furnishings were out of date but the house worked for us due to having children. Beds were comfortable, washer and dryer worked well. There could have been more chairs for the outside. We look forward to coming again."

"A Perfect Family Reunion
This home could not have been more perfect for our family reunion! Four of the six bedrooms had attached baths which gave the adults their own private suites! The kitchen was equipped with all that we needed and the pool, spa, 1/2 basketball court, grass badminton/volleyball court and shuffleboard gave everyone lots to keep them busy! The location was GREAT - just across the street from a beautiful beach, close to shopping, restaurants and local attractions. We only have one regret...
that we couldn't stay longer!

"A great place!!
We rent the house for 5 days and we enjoyed the place. The beach access is closed to the house, the pool and the hot tub was great.
We also like the customers services. We had a little problem with the hot tub and they fixed the problem in the same hour as we noticed. We are ice hockey fans and they unlock the nhl channel for us!!! They really care about us, everything was fine.
One problem and I am sure it was an accident. One of my friend cut his feet with a piece of glass in the grass when we played volleyball... But like I said, I can't say something about this house... We want to rent it again next year.

"Key West Beach House
Very good experience. Management is in the process of completing some needed maintenance. I am sure this will be a wonderful home after some work. Staff at North Myrtle Beach Realty was very nice and accommodating. "

"A Cal-Ripkin Get Away
The house was awesome and the kids loved the pool and the proximity and easy access to the ocean. The drive to Cal Ripkin took about 20 minutes. The pool was clean and used alot! Had issues with one of the air conditioners on a 96 degree day and it was fixed without issue. We would love to come back, and stay in the same house. Lots of storage and room for multiple families."

We really enjoyed the location of the Key West House. Walking distance to a NON_CROWDED area of the beach. The house need a few minor repairs, but otherwise in good shape and very clean. "

We enjoyed the pool and location to the beach which was a short walk across the street. The home was plenty big enough to accomadate our party of 12. The home could use some sprucing up inside/out. Tile Floors were dirty we had to sweep upon entry and the carpeted steps were dirty as well. But overall we enjoyed out stay. "

"Nice Beach House
House was not very clean (cleaner when we left than when we arrived). Ceiling fan looked like it had never been cleaned. Repair man came to do repairs to the house and we thought the repairs should be done while house is vacant not while we guests are there. We were told not not to park on front lawn but repair man parked on front lawn and also drove thru front lawn. "

"Key West House
We loved the pool and hot tub. The inside of the house needed much repair and attention. We did enjoy our stay and we would stay there again if the needed repairs and improvements were made."

"NOT home away from home!
House had a over all dirty feel. Refridgerator had many broken shevles. When we arrived the garbage cans were overflowing from previous renters and was not picked up till Monday. The sofa sleeper down stairs was broke. Couches were disgusting (dirty). Toilets kept clogging up. We had a few issues with the pool, covered in bugs and very cloudy. Only good thing was the location!"
