"Myrtle Beach resort 236 A
I was actually disappointed this year upon arrival the unit I found dirty there was sand everywhere not even attempted to be cleaned up. Counters and tables were sticky. The dishwasher was left loaded with dirty dishes. Multiple light bulbs were missing and out. The smoke detector or fire alarm on the ceiling was missing its entire cover. Sadly upon my arrival I had to pull out the vacuum from the maintenance closet and vacuum the unit and wipe down counters. This is not something I want to do when I first arrive, especially when I'm paying with $2,400 for a vacation condo including driving 14 hours. After all this, I really wanted to leave midweek and request a refund but I wanted my family to have a great time and I felt it was already too late. "

"Not what is advertised! Would not recommend!
First off the elevator was never working the entire 8 days we were there so we had to haul all of our stuff up two flights off stairs not fun. The tubs in both bathrooms kept clogging up with brown water and trash. The tile floor in the master bathroom was cracked and coming up causing my son to cut his toe open on the first night we were there. There were roaches on the kitchen floor. The decor looked like it came from the goodwill (very outdated) and to top it all off the manager of the company we booked through walked into our condo while my daughter was in the shower because he said we didn’t answer the door. I would not recommend this place to anyone and will definitely book elsewhere the next time we stay in Myrtle Beach!"

"Dirty Unit
The only issue I had with this unit was the cleanliness. It was very dirty. The outside and inside of kitchen cabinets were filthy. Finger prints on the sliding glass doors, dirty dishes. I had to wash each dish before using. The extra blankets were disgusting and clearly not washed. Floor was dirty; pieces of food was left under the tables and outside on the balcony. I would highly suggest hiring a new cleaning crew.
This is our 4th year renting from the Myrtle Beach Resort. We’ve never had issues with the other units we’ve rented. The resort it’s self was clean. Employee’s are welcoming and kind. However, I was disappointed with the elevator service. My elderly mother was staying with us and was in need of an elevator. Unfortunately, it was broke the entire week. With that being said, I’d recommend the resort but definitely not A236 unit. "

We enjoyed our stay here. It was clean and gave off a homey feeling in the condo we stayed in. The beach was only a few minutes walking distance which we could see from our balcony which was very nice. The only thing I did not like was when I accidentally left my code to get into the property in the room the security guard was very rude and could care less that we forgot it. She was no help at all I showed her our keys and she said “okay and what is that supposed to mean” I asked how were we suppose to get back to our room and she said “that’s not my problem” my friends husband had to take a 30 min walk to the room and send us the code. Other than that our stay was great. "

Great location and premises. The apartment’s floor was very dirty when we arrived. A lot of sand and the kitchen floor was very sticky. The elevator was not working on the day we arrived so we had to bring our luggage to the apartment using the stairs. But, besides that, We liked the location and the pool areas. "

"Disappointed
We have stayed here a lot of years an never had any issues. I rented 2 rooms this year an both was still dirty. This unit I stayed in and there was food left in thw frontroom dirty clothes from past guest under all thw beds down behind dressers was items from a past guest and a coke bottle with chew spit under master bed. The extra blankets in small bedrooms was shoved under the beds all wadded up. The floors made our feet turn black from dirt it was not good. Had to clean before we could enjoy thw room "

"Disappointing
The unit was small, crowded, the internet not that great, the bedrooms are on the hall side with windows that do not open, . The building reeked of marijuana and laundry facilities were terrible.
You are close to the beach, and the property management company was helpful and easy to work with. I would not recommend this property.

The experience was good. Due to Corona we did not get to use any of the amenities which was disappointing. The room was clean and convenient. The hot water heater was disappointing. It's a nice place for your money."

"Great Location
The couple minute walk to the beach was great. The room was definitely dated and needed some attention. Some paint was pealing. A new coat of paint would really help. We were not real happy with the windows that faced the interior hallway. They allowed all the light from the hall in at night. Not sure why they are there. It would be nice if they were closed off. Overall clean. I found a couple of dead roaches and killed one. "

"Wonderful Stay in 236A!!
Our stay was wonderful. My family and I had a comfortable relaxing stay in this unot. We had comfortable furniture, all the cooking utensils and dishes we required.And, the beach as our back yard☺ If you are looking for a great home awsy from home A236 is the place. We will stay at Myrtle Beach Resort from now on."

"Girl's Trip 2018
We had a great time and enjoyed the Myrtle Beach area. We visited Greenbrook Gardens & zoo and Murrell's Inlet. Loved the Myrtle Beach Resort's beach, pools & lazy river. Hurricane Florence shortened our stay by 1 day as we had to evacuate but we had an awesome stay. "

"Great Place!
The condo was clean. The area was very nice with all the pools and playground for kids. The bar and grill had very good breakfast and other foods. The snack bar was nice also. Walmart was right across the street which was very convenient after a long drive. The Boardwalk was only a 10 minute drive. Nice beach area. I would recommend this resort."

"Missing Myrtle
MBR A236 was more than we could have asked for, the pictures do not do it justice and it is just gorgeous. My brother in law traveled with and we had more than enough room for 5 of us. Everyone was friendly and we had a small issue with the ac unit not draining late one night and were able to reach someone through the security gate and they came and fixed it. So many activities for kids and adults alike that you wont ever have to leave the property except to get groceries at Walmart Market directly across road from Resort. So happy with MBR we were looking to see what is available again for another vacation. Thank you so much for making Myrtle one of our new faves."

Everything was as said in description of rental and in good shape. Was a short walk to beach, condo was clean and functional, WiFi was not great during our stay but I don’t think that was the resorts fault there was a lot of people using it so it was slow, management wa easy to talk to, the elevator to our hall was out in the building but again it didn’t cause much issue since we would just walk to the next one down the hall "

"Would look somewhere else.
The condo was spacious enough, but not very clean. We found a cockroach in the bathroom sink the first morning. The pools were too warm and crowded. Nice area for kids to play, but was clear in the back away from the beach and other pool. "

The condo was nice, but the children above us was very loud. The kids in the hall was disrespectful. We reported a guy we saw trying to break into cars three times and nothing ever happened. Very little view of the ocean being that far back and that low. But the condo was very nice and clean! And the construction was going on."

Upon first glance it lookd okay, didn't shine or anything,but it was just okay. I found trash/wrappers on the floor, in the corners, behind the trash can, no biggee, I could deal. But when I stepped into the shower, I was grossed out when I turned to see the mildewed shower curtain - how was that missed??? The second day, my son told me that he had to step into the other showers tub with the water from his sibling still sitting in there, it took forever to drain. Since this was the weekend, our messages/concerns weren't addressed until Monday. However, once we called, I received new shower curtains and the maintanence man came in to fix the tub promptly. Very nice people. I just felt as if I needed to clean the kitchen and bathrooms my self after our weekend though - so I did, and everything else was fine. I loved the balcony, nice view. Other than cleaning more thoroughly I would suggest that there be at least one other large saute/frying pan (there was only one - difficult to feed 6 people with just one!), maybe a dvd player instead of a vcr and lastly a curtain to hide the hallway lite in the second bedroom - still quite bright at nite."

Myrtle beach management-overall good, haven't responded to last email. Resort was nice, clean, well kept, great amenities(pools, lazy river, playground, grills/tables) elevators in A building were slow but at least more then 1- the condo was nice but the furnishings were outdated, worn out, & broken. We put the mattress in floor from sofa bed due to the uncertainty of the "sofa bed"-missing a few hooks-blinds over doors were broken but not to bad- oceanview a little lacking bites...overall decent stay but will seek another condo hopefully same resort next year!! "

"Nice for the price
Little outdated but clean and close to the ocean view not the best long ocean view and parking lot. Family oriented resort and beach pools,lazy river and playground a plus for kids. Always stay in Surfside instead of Myrtle Beach quieter and more Family oriented .Would stay again for the price."

Overall, our vacation rental experience was very satisfying.We enjoyed the location of the unit, easy access to the beach and the pool with the lazy river.We had a maintenance issue very early in our stay (Sun), after two messages Pat contacted me back regarding the issue of the refrig. and freezer not individual came to the unit,within the hour and he called Pat to shared that the refrig was not functioning properly.He was to return on Mon at 9:00 am to check on the unit again. We waited until 11:00 am on Mon. and he did not show.We were still experiencing issues on Mon. & Tue. (but we were moving the food back and forth between the freezer and refrigerator).I finally called on Wed to follow up.This phone call was NOT what I would say as customer friendly.I shared our concern re: the no show on Monday & we assumed the he didn't show up because he received a more urgent matters.We handled the situation fine and enjoyed our vacation, but still having issues.Pat responded that his "guy" did show up and sent him a text message indicated that everything checked out fine & WE were leaving the door open which is causing the refrig. to not work properly.I became defensive and offended by his response.He said he would send someone over right away to be done with this issue.Two hours later, my husband called Pat because his 'guy' did not show up & he expressed the same concerns and cleared up any misunderstandings.Finally, the maintenance came back to the unit later in the afternoon & acknowledged the the refrig. was not working properly.On Thurs., an outside contractor came to the unit,fixed the Thurs afternoon, the popsicles were frozen, items were cold & the issue was fixed.I'm just sharing this experience b/c we wanted someone to be aware of the problem and not get charged for the I stated before, we enjoyed our vacation and are seriously considering returning back to unit despite the hiccup we had with the refrigerator. "

The grumpy old man in the tower, who used all his power, bullying the resort guests and resort staff. He likes to block off roads and make people move trailers due to his eyes being sore! He owns in the towers, stay away from the tower rentals. He's a bully with an attitude of greatness! I feel sorry for the girl that told us to park there. I'm sure she was bullied by thou greatness!"

"Family Vacation
Enjoyed being so close to everything,
The furniture was VERY dated, with extension cords out in the open used to plug various things up.
Security on the property was AMAZING, they kept down any unruly vacationers from being too loud on balconies or outside of units.
Our units floor was disgusting, our 9month old crawler literally had black legs until we called. (we took photos) the person who came to clean when we called hand wiped with towels in traffic areas only so the floors were only marginally cleaner but it helped.
I think we would stay again at the resort, but not the same unit.

"Bad odors
My family has been vacationing at Myrtle Beach Resorts for about 15 years now and we have always enjoyed our stay. We enjoyed our vacation this year but the condo that we stayed in, A236, smelled of old cigarette smoke. It had obviously been a smoking room at one time. The smell was very offensive each time we walked into the condo, especially in the living room area. There was also a foul smell outside in the mornings which kept us from using the balcony until mid morning when the smell lifted."
