"Maisons Sur Mer 408 Ocean View Shore Drive
Unfortunately, our stay was cut short as we left one day early. If you stay in this unit, you will be able to hear the noises from the pool area until the pool closes. Also, the unit needs a bit of upkeep, the icemaker made a loud noise at 4 a.m. in the morning. We were unable to use the dryer as it made loud scraping noises. The toilet roll holder was broken in the master bath and was not able to be used."

"Very clean, great location, but very outdated (except kitchen)
I’ve stayed at the Maisons many many times. This condo is the greatest! I wouldn’t entertain the idea of staying anywhere else. However, this particular unit was not the greatest. It wasn’t ALL bad though. The unit was clean upon arrival. The kitchen has been updated with new counter tops, cabinets, and appliances. It was really nice but in my opinion needed to be stocked with a few more supplies. If you don’t intend to do much cooking for a large group, you’d be fine. One of the bathrooms had a constant foul oder which I believe was due to a draining issue of the toilet. It seemed to be worse when the washing machine was in use. The dryer was also VERY loud. The carpet on the balcony had a huge hole ripped in it. The living room furniture could really use some updating. The tv in the bedroom was really old and in need of replacement. I usually rent directly from the owner but wasn’t able to with this unit. I had to go through the realty company which means checkin is later and you’ve have to go all the way there to pick up keys, sign paperwork, etc. You also have to return the keys before you leave instead of just leaving them in the unit upon departure. Suggestion: buy lanyards for the key cards because it makes them easier to keep up with. You definitely don’t want to lose them because it will cost you $300 to replace. The checkout time is 10 am. The cleaning crew were there before 9. They didn’t attempt to come in but did drop some of their supplies outside the door. I would prefer NOT to see them at all. There is a really nice view of the pool and beach area. With some TLC and some updating this would be a very nice unit. Without that I probably would not revisit it. "

"Great Vacation
The overall stay was great. Love the resort and location. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The condo itself (408) can use some care. The patio and furniture are in really rough shape (big disappointment) other inside furniture and appliances (dryer) need replacement. "

"Loved Maisons-Sur-Mer, Individual unit needs some work
We loved the Maisons-Sur-Mer, its very nice, clean, safe, well taken care of, the pool is awesome, ocean is very close with easy access, the location is awesome, very centrally located at Myrtle on a quiet street. The individual unit was ok, but was not very clean, has a sewer smell in one of the bathrooms, sliding doors are hard to open, patio is awesome but furniture was about to collapse. Biggest complaint is that all our issues were the exact same complaints others had, they fail to address any of them. Would Definitely stay at Maisons-Sur-Mer, but probably not is this particular unit."

"Needs New Patio Furniture & Maintenance
The facility itself is great, this unit is not. You could not sit out on the deck as the furniture was completely rusted and shaky. The other piece of furniture was on the neck was a wood piece with the paint all peeled, we were worried about or 4 year old grand daughter with paint chips. I emailed and called North Beach Reality and was told they would contact the owners to see if they could replace it. Well that was a total lie as i dug deeper into the reviews others complained of the same issues. Other issues the dryer needs a new belt and makes a terrible squealing noise, they also knew prior to our stay. As the week went on the unit was filled with an offensive that became increasingly worse. It is a great resort i am so surprised they allow owners to neglect their unit. I would definitely stay at the place again, but not in this unit. "

"Beautiful view and great location
Nice roomy condo, upscale bistro and Bar with a dress code. A few things needed fixing but was basically great space. Location was great with a couple decent bar& grills within walking distance (under 3 blocks)."

"Not good
The condo was way too expensive to need so many updates. The master bedroom was dingy, everything was out of shape, curtains falling down, dusty, abs gross. We did not not use that room... ALL the patio furniture was rusted abs paired with an indoor table that had shed paint chips all over the ground. The entire condo floor was covered in royal blue OLD carpet. The washer and dryer were very old & made a LOT of noise every minute they ran. The kitchen garage disposal didn’t appear to be installed properly abs the kitchen sink backed up leaving disgusting debris in the sink- we did not cook in there once. The 2nd bedroom shower backed up so terribly we were standing in water up to our calves after 5 minutes- so gross, we used the master shower only after that. The front door lock was so old, it literally cut my thumb several times trying to unlock or lock every time. ALL the patio doors were so old it took your entire body weight to open or close and they were extremely dingy as well. I was very disappointed in the entire unit- I overpaid an insane amount to stay.
Will not be returning or ever using or North Beach Reality ever again- unbelievable 2 companies would ever advertise or assist in renting such a dump of a condo. The rest of the property for Maisons-Sur-Mer seemed great- everything was “older” but taken care of."
