"Minor Issues
Location was great with a few minor issues that made the vacation a little uncomfortable.
First, the positives:
The location is fantastic. Right on the beach and if you have a golf cart, very easy to get to Baytowne, Publix, and everywhere else you need to go.
The furniture was fantastic, both inside and out. There were plenty of chairs on the balcony and TV's in every room.
Now the negatives:
There was construction ongoing through our stay. The pool was closed and there was no clear information about the other options.
There wasn't enough hot water for one person to finish a shower, we had to stagger throughout the day if everyone wanted a hot shower. The top shelf of the refrigerator was cracked, so you couldn't put anything on the shelf without it collapsing. Also, the outlets were not seated properly in the walls so it was nearly impossible to plug in a charger without it falling out.
The elevator closest to our room was out of order for half our stay, so it was either walk all the way to the other end of the condo or use the stairs (which isn't much of a problem, unless you're on one of the upper floors or trying to bring groceries up to your unit)
Overall, a good stay but there were quite a few times we were frustrated!"

"Golf Cart BONUS!!
We have stayed at Beachside II for many years and this is the first time a golf cart has been provided!! We enjoyed riding the cart to Baytowne and around the property after a day at the beach. The original unit booked was not ready due to construction, so this unit was offered and ended up being larger with the golf cart and less expensive than the 1 bedroom! We walked right out of our room to the elevator to go down to the parking garage so that was great! There was lots of construction going on while there the 2nd week of May 2023, but realize that for there to be improvements, this has to happen. Always recommend Beachside II."

"Beautiful construction
Stayed a week with my two teen girls. The place was beautiful and comfortable. We were told there was construction happening with a bit of a discounted price (not inexpensive) but we didn’t realize the extent. It was MAJOR construction. Other than waking up to a jackhammer weekday mornings at 8am, it didn’t affect our stay as we were out most of the day and construction ended by 5. Pool closed due to construction.

Beaches were super crowded in this area, but much less down the road. Golf cart was a great addition. If this is the area you’re looking at then you want be disappointed in this condo (post construction). I’ll be headed further south next time, just preference. "

"Great condo with a beautiful view of the ocean!
I’ve stayed at several resorts from Gulf Shores, Panama & Destin. This resort has been the best one yet. I really like the security at the front gate to having another security gate when entering your condo. The golf course is beautiful and having a putt-putting course & a basketball court is a great. I highly recommend this resort. "

"Very Disappointing Stay
We stayed in Beachside II room 4238 arriving on June 19, 2022 and departing on June 23, 2022. This was a surprise beach trip for my husband for Father's Day. The condo was in poor condition and in need of attention. The following are items that need to be addressed: 1. Leaking shower in Master Bath. Water seeps on the floor from the shower floor, despite the shower door being securely closed. 2. Bed linens are threadbare and king fitted sheet does not fit on the king mattress. 3. Vanity in the Master Bath is broken as the drawers do not open properly. 4. Bi-Fold doors in laundry area are broken. 5. Sink in Guest Bath does not drain properly--very slow. 6. Can light in guest bath is falling out of the ceiling 7. Poor interior lighting in kitchen area. 8. Stains on sofa pillows. This condo is substandard for the rate we paid for four nights. We will not be using this rental company again and we expect to be compensated for this subpar experience."

"Excellent vacation
This was our first time in the Destin area and we got lucky and picked the right place. This condo was great, the location couldn't have been better. The condo is on the fourth floor across from an elevator. We liked that because there is a main elevator that most people used and this elevator was always available. We liked that the condo has two completely separate rooms and bathrooms. The condo is in great condition and everything was well planned out. The condo comes with a golf cart, beach chairs, umbrellas, and a fully equipped kitchen. We parked our car and really didn't use it the whole time we were here. We used the golf cart to go to the grocery store, Starbucks, restaurants, bars, everything. We absolutely loved this condo and resort. We will be coming back. "

"After the hurricane
This was our first rough rental experience. Some was due to the aftermath of the hurricane, so that cannot be helped. We had a HUGE dehumidifier and professional fan placed in our room upon entry (for 3 days) that we had to literally yell at each other in order to hear each other. Over half of the outlets didn't work (no idea if due to hurricane or not). The condo should not have been rented. In all fairness, the rental agency offered us other places to move to, but we paid to be on the beach, not somewhere else. They did compensate us one night. There were zero hangars in master closet, which we asked to be replaced and were not.. There was not a single cookie sheet so bring your own cookies! Beachside II treadmills and elliptical either did not work or did not keep track of anything. Most sets of drawers in bedrooms/bathrooms did not open easily due to being very old and rickety. Never had a frustrating visit until now. . . . again some of it being due to the after effects of the hurricane."

"A little disappointed ........��
We were super excited about our trip to Sandestin; and it was overall a good trip, but not without some bumps in the road. The Sandestin property itself is gorgeous! The unit has been updated and has nice finishes, and the view is fantastic! That being said, the mattresses on all the beds in this unit are utterly horrible. We ALL came back worn out from not sleeping well. For the price, we expected comfortable sleeping! Not to mention the random hairs that were in the sheets on two of the beds.....yuck! Also, the master shower has a leak and leaves water standing in the bathroom floor every time you use it. We had to line the floor with towels to keep from slipping. The washing machine broke with our beach towels inside - soaking- and flooded the hall area. Again, towels on the floor, and a whole day with no towels on the beach. Gibson DID call someone in to repair it in a timely manner. Plan to bring an umbrella or rent one. The Gibson provided umbrellas are literally made of some type of paper and we had TWO tear up on us in four days ?!?! The chairs were fine. The beach was beautiful as always, but I don’t think we’ll plan to stay here again.

"Wonderful Unit - Great Resort
This was a perfect unit for our family of five. Plenty of space and very clean. Ocean view was a huge bonus. I had plenty of space on the deck to workout in the mornings to the sound of the ocean waves. We watched dolphins 2 of our mornings. Dining table seats 6 comfortably. This was our 2nd vacation in Sandestin. Great resort for families - plenty to do and safe. The only set back - lots of construction in Sandestin."

"Our recent trip to Beachside 2
My wife and I recently booked a one-week stay at Beachside 2 through Gibson Beach Rentals. Everyone we dealt with at Gibson was a joy to work with. We couldn’t be happier with the easy check in/check out procedures and the courtesy and professionalism of their staff. The unit was also exceptional. We had one little hiccup with a leaking paint can in a storage closet, which was promptly cleaned up after we reported it. We would definitely stay at this property again, and would rent through Gibson."

"Great place for familes
This unit was great for our family. We had two adults, two 17 year old boys, and a 5 year old. The ability to get out to the beach easily was very nice. The beach did get a little crowded from the guests bayside coming over, but if you are willing to go up the beach some on the sandestin property it gets a little bit better.

The boys liked being able to take the tram over to Baytowne in the evenings. The activites there were nice for the family. It was a good way to unwind from a long day in the sun!

"Great location, great space!
I loved most everything about this unit and it's location. It's close to the elevator from the parking garage so getting in and out with bags was fast. There was always a close parking spot and the unit was on the 4th level so it was quick to get to and had a good view. It was a very short walk to the beachwalk and I could see our chair/umbrella rental from the balcony of the condo. I also used the condo's chair and umbrella for my kids. My children loved the bunk beds and I loved that they had their own bathroom. The only thing that was 100% to my satisfaction was the master bed comfort. But I would definitely recommend this unit and I would return to this unit and most definitely to this building and/or another GBR property!! "

"Awesome Condo!
We just spent 6 days/5 nights in this condo & it was perfect! Condo is exactly as shown in the pics. Very spacious for a 2bdrm/2bath. Great view of the beach! The 2nd bedroom had plenty of space for us to set up our pack n' play for our 18 month old. It was nice & quiet during our stay, either we didn't have any neighbors during our stay or it's nicely insulated & couldn't hear any! The kitchen has a plethora of plates, bowls, silver ware, pans, glasses, everything you need! We really really enjoyed our stay here! "

"Beautiful Place To Stay
The location is marvelous. The building is being renovated when we were there. The pool was just left with so many construction debris coming from the renovation work. The Gibson Rental app did not provide us with a code to the unit on the day of check-in. I have to spend close to an hour trying to call their office (which closes at 5 pm) & fixing a problem that a renter should not go through on the first day of stay. Overall, the experience was wonderful."

"Beautiful View, Beautiful Beach, Beautiful Experience
This place is great. Besides some minor issues (light not working in one room, bathtub needed to be cleaned more thoroughly, chairs stained), the place was amazing.
