People from Gibson are outstanding in providing excellent customer service. Our stay at this property was good but we had to deal with our water being shut off between 8:00-5:00 for several days and the plumbing in the second bath sink needed repaired and the shower was rendered unusable because of a leak that was damaging property below our unit."

"Fall Getaway
We have stayed at Beachside II on several occasions and this is one of the best units we have had! All check in information was promptly provided and worked great. The condo was clean and spacious, and the decor was tastefully done. We enjoyed the beautiful sunsets from the west facing balcony. The building has had some nice updates to the public areas. Just wish they had the heat on in the pool because the water was too cold to swim! We will look for this unit on our next visit!"

"Family vacation
Excellent!! Amazing views, very clean and spacious condo, great location. Gibson Rental Company was great we had a small problem with the air conditioning when we first arrived and they took care of the problem promptly. Would definitely rent this condo again. Highly recommend it!"

"Fun Beach Stay!
Our stay at 4291 was really nice. The condo was clean, the appliances worked well and the master bedroom mattress was great.
The view of the beach was awesome.
Our key code expired early but a quick call to the management company resolved the issue within minutes.
The only thing I would suggest for improvement is a thorough and deep floor cleaning. "

"AWESOME VACATION
The condo was pristine and the check in and out process was very easy. We even got in a little early on check in day. The view couldn't be beat. There were dozens of restaurants close by. The pool was a great place to hang out and meet new friends. We'll be back next summer!"

"The mattress that was fading fast
Great time. Great location. Great view. All was very good in the condo except the master bed mattress. It appeared to be flattening out and getting wider. The metal support around the mattress was still inside the mattress itself but that metal support stuck out from the body of the mattress. Reported it but the owners wanted to be here and pick the replacement mattress. We completely understand that but hope it will be replaced by next year as we would like to return."

"On the beach
Everything at the condo was as described. Perfect condition. Clean. Easy parking. Easy beach access. One elevator was always out of service. The second elevator did not have a long wait. The pool and beach area always seemed clean. The people sharing it with us were friendly. Gibson was always quick to respond and helpful. I don’t think I’ll stay here again though because it was too pricey, and I can find equally nice places much cheaper."

"Nice, but issues
We've loved this unit in previous years. However, in the past couple of years I feel like BSII is starting to decline. This year, this unit's Master Bathroom Shower was out of order. I pay a large sum of money for a 2bd/2bath condo so for 1 shower to be out of order was aggravating. GBR did give me a refund of $300 which was extremely low in my opinion. We also experienced broken elevators. I just feel that the building and units are no longer getting the attention they deserve."

"Lovey Condo
The condo was super clean and very light and airy. Short walk out to beach which was nice. Only one negative would be the coffee maker. There is no Keurig, and the coffee maker there is just a one-cup maker that is very difficult to keep a cup under it in order to press the button. So if ur a coffee lover and want to enjoy that on the beautiful patio, bring your own machine. Other than that, it was wonderful."

"Great vacation and location
The layout of the condo was great and I especially liked that the master bedroom was separated from the additional room. The oceanviews from the bedroom and living room are amazing. The condo was very clean and spacious for a family of four. We was close to everything thing as far as shopping, restaurants and just a few steps from the beach. I would definitely recommend this to my friends and family.

"Perfect vacation spot
Very nice, appreciated it being stocked with some essentials. Wonderful view and very comfortable. 2 BR perfect for the 3 of us. Streaming in living room and cable in BRs was ideal for all of us. Couch is the most comfortable we have ever had staying in a condo! Loved it.
Additional back elevator outside door made it much easier to move in and out and to reach the beach more quickly.That was a big plus.
Only recommendation for us to stay again would be some black out curtains in master BR because the giant windows are wonderful to view the beach, but blinding when the sun comes up."

"Beachside ll 4291
Very clean. Awesome master baths with walk-in closet. Great ocean view. Only issue was a grossly inadequate water heater. We had 2 adults & 2 kids & had to take showers in shifts. A couple of nights we had the kids go take a swim in the pool before dinner so parents could have a shower. Have stayed at Sandestin for over 20 years & never had this issue. "

4291 was a great condo with a beautiful view! I had what I needed to prepare meals and doing a few loads of laundry in the evening cuts down on how much we have to pack. My family of four had ample room and found the property to be well manicured overall. We took advantage of an Exploiria offering and was pleased. "

"Exactly as Described - 10/10 Would Stay Again!
As a family who has never traveled to the area before, I cannot say enough positive things about both Gibson Rental and the Beachside II condo #4291. We were very nervous when selecting a place to spend our vacation, but had a great experience when talking through the various properties with Gibson Rentals. The team was very professional and helpful from start to finish. For the condo itself, it was not only clean/spotless, but exactly as pictured and described. The furniture was comfortable, there was plenty of room for our family of four, and the balcony view was incredible. We had no issues whatsoever during our stay and enjoyed the extra perks that were included - such as bath towels, linens, beach chairs, umbrella, tram passes, etc. We will most definitely be renting from Gibson Rentals when visiting the area in the future, and would stay in this condo (or any condo managed by Gibson) again. We are very particular when selecting rentals or hotels, and this condo experience exceeded our expectations. Thank you for a wonderful stay."

"Annual Vacation
Our week in Destin could not have been better. An annual event, we have stayed at Beachside II for the last 7 years. This was our second time in Unit 4291 and it was perfect. The unit is beautiful with a gorgeous Master Bath and an amazing view. To wake each morning overlooking the Gulf was heaven. Despite a dire forecast, the weather was perfect. The staff at Gibson was accommodating and handled our requests easily and always with a smile. We gather here each August from different parts of the country and always have a fabulous time. I would recommend Gibson any day. Thanks for a great week! "

"Beachside II 4291 - Great place to stay!
Beachside II unit 4291 is a great unit and in a perfect location. We stay at Beachside II every year and rent multiple units and 4291 is hands down our favorite to stay in. The unit is updated, clean and spacious with awesome views of the ocean and beach. Beds are great, huge master shower...overall beautiful condo. You definitely will not be disappointed with this unit. "

Condo was very well furnished and very clean. was very easy to work with-- the Smartphone app was great-- provided access codes for entry into the unit and pools, etc. Very handy. Rental agency even called on the afternoon of our arrival to tell us that the condo was ready for early check in if needed."

"Spring Break with Family
Nice and Convenient but with a few flaws. Always hesitant to do these reviews because some are out of the hands of the Rental Agency, but in this case...Rental Agency needs to be a little more attention to detail.
1. The TV system and remotes never worked. We had the inspector come up and she got the tv working, but the remotes never worked
2. The 2nd bathroom toilet hadn't been cleaned when we checked in
3. No hot water in the 2nd bathroom
4. There were multiple bulbs out
5. Master bath sink was stopped up and had to get the inspector in to unstop it
Other than that...all good"

"Our first trip to Destin, Florida
We enjoyed our vacation in Destin Florida, and would stay in this condo again. We have never been to Destin, and vacation primarily in Siesta Key, Fl. So, we didn't know what to expect. This condo was clean, and offered a wonderful view of the ocean from the master bed and living room. The kitchen was updated and was well stocked for cooking. Although the toaster and coffee maker were a bit tired, they worked and served their purpose. We appreciated the flooring throughout the condo being uniform and that there was no carpet. I would have appreciated a swifter sweeper to help clean up the flooring. The beds were comfortable, however the pillows for sleeping need to be replaced. (They were too thin and hard for us). The master bedroom was warm at night. We found that opening the door of the bedroom helped circulate the air better. (A ceiling fan would also do the job). Both bathrooms were updated nicely. The location of this condo was wonderful. We rented bicycles and road to the Baytowne Wharf often. We also walked to the mini golf one evening. The publix is very close by and there is plenty of shopping there too. We went to the pool and found that there were not enough tables. Not a big deal, but more would be nice. The exercise room could be improved. Thankfully, the weather was nice enough to move outside, so this wasn't an issue. Lastly, we vacationed during Spring break, and the noise on the beach at night was troublesome. We had to call several times before authorities came. In addition, the unit below us was louder due to "Spring Breakers". Gibson management was very responsive to our complaints about the noise in the unit below us. Overall, we were very happy with this condo and our vacation to Destin, Florida."

Condo was clean with nice decor (just as pictured). West facing balcony provided many beautiful sunsets. All appliances were new and in good working condition. Bathrooms had been updated with new fixtures. Utensils/cook wear used for preparing meals was provided. Gated and well secured property. "

"The most amazing condo we have ever stayed at!!
This condo is amazing! It is super super clean and has upgrades throughout. The location and view can't be beat! It is just the nicest place I've ever stayed and I've been coming to the gulf for 30 years! I love that you can walk across a little path to the beach house for lunch or dinner and get the most amazing views and then head out to the beach. It's just very nicely done and has set the bar very high so we are going to have to come to this condo as we are now so spoiled! We also love having Gibson as the management company...we've stayed with them before and they just make it such a smooth visit! "

"Beautiful condo with best view and directly on beautiful beach
Gibson exceeded all expectations of a management company. Before arriving, they recommended their app to get any information needed for our stay and when I emailed or called, they were very responsive. They provided many amenities that only hotels usually provide such as dish detergent, sponge, soap, shampoo, lotion, laundry detergent. The condo was very clean and had a modern feel. The views from the master were outstanding. It was so nice having Gibson onsite. They were so friendly when we asked for additional shuttle passes and an early and late check in/out. We will definitely rent from Gibson again. The bathrooms were very nice with modern vanities and great shower in the master. The location of Beachside II is ideal for super easy access to the beach and great for teenagers who can ride the shuttle to Baytown. We loved the Beach House restaurant next door "

"beautiful views
Everything was wonderful. I loved laying in the master bedroom and being able to see the beach and the sunsets without even lifting my head off the pillow. No complaints about the rental. The beach was filled with a lot of the chair/umbrella sets that you must rent for $40.00/day. My kids don't stay on the beach long enough to make it worth it for us, although they would be convenient. We had to get out early and even walk a little to get to an open area in which we did not have to set up behind someone else. Although the beach was busy, you could not tell at the resort. We only rode the elevator with someone else one time, and it was always quick. The pool was never crowded either. Would definitely stay again. "

"Perfection
My husband, 3-year old daughter, and I stayed here for a week in early August and had an amazing vacation! The condo was clean, spacious, very comfortable, and fully stocked with absolutely anything we could possibly need. The views are incredible, especially from the Master BR. The beach and pool are right outside the front of the building and parking is very convenient as the elevator is just outside the condo. This was our first trip to the Gulf and I can't imagine we would ever want to go anywhere else now that we've been here. Also, really appreciated that allowed us an early check-in and left lots of good recommendations for restaurants and activities. We will definitely return!"

My family and I very much enjoyed our stay. The location and views were perfect. The unit was clean and comfortable. I would definitely visit again. My only complaints were the wifi was slow and the TV system was wired weird. Took us a while to figure out the DVD player had to be on to watch TV. But since we weren't there to work or watch tv, it wasn't a big deal. "

"July stay
Very comfortable unit. Have stayed in Sandestin for the past 11 years in a row. At least 7 of those have been at Beachside II. this was our first stay in this unit. It is certainly one of our favorites. Looked like it has been recently renovated, and everything was new and very clean. Loved the sectional couch--perfect for seating all 4 of us for watching TV or chatting. Master bed very comfortable. Twins in the guest room not quite as comfy, but ok. Overall, very nice unit and would recommend it to friends."
