"Visiting for beach and swimming
The location is great. Away from the big resorts and traffic. Sunset and ocean views are spectacular. Floors needs to be washed and not just swept prior to a new rental. Pillows are always a big deal in a vacation rental. These were hard and as big as a suitcase. Just right for a neck injury."

"Great place for a Maui Vacation
This was a beautiful ocean front location. The condo was lovely, nothing fancy but all the basic needs were met. Our favorite thing was the lanai. It offered plenty of privacy and a terrific view of the ocean. We saw whales breaching and even watched turtles feeding along the shoreline just below. Communication from was thorough and timely. We had no problems and enjoyed our stay. We look forward to coming back."

The condo at Kuleana was better than advertised. The view from the lanai was gorgeous and the sound of the ocean was relaxing. The condo is well stocked with everything we needed to make breakfast, lunch, or dinner. We visit Maui often and this place is by far the best place we have stayed. "Immaculate Condo with Perfect View
I had a delightful mini getaway at Kuleana 614 in early November. The condo has been beautifully remodeled very recently with obvious care given to every selection. As the owner of a Maui vacation rental myself, I was very impressed by the high quality furnishings and the immaculate condition of the condo. In addition, the service I was provided by Kim at was superb: excellent communication, clear instructions, and wonderful Aloha spirit. Regarding the Kuleana complex, it is wonderful--spectacular location, gorgeous views (it's worth paying extra for a direct oceanfront condo such as 614), awesome pool, and a commitment to quiet and safety. Mahalo to Kim and the owners of this delightful condo!"

"Book this property immediately!!
My wife and I stayed at Kuleana 614 for 12 days and this property is incredible. The location is the first superlative- you cannot find a better view and access to the beauty of Maui, at least at this value. The view out of the main room and balcony is just incredible - sunsets over the two neighboring islands, whales breeching right in sight and the beautiful water and sounds of waves. Also there is a rocky point and small beach (where we spent many hours) that is full of turtles and fish. We had as many as 9 turtles beside us on the beach and enjoyed snorkeling right outside the unit. The unit itself has updated finishes throughout, with the kitchen great for making meals at home and the bath also very nice. The property has a very nice large pool and is quiet and with beautiful gardens. The location near all the needed shopping and restaurants you need. We really enjoyed getting fresh fish, tuna poke and crabcakes at the Fish Market, cooking them at the condo and eating outside enjoying the breeze and view. The location is great for exploring all of the Maui sites. I could keep going on and on, but my major advice is to book this right away - you will not find a better value for all the incredible benefits this property offers."

"Great View, whales galore!
The oceanfront location was absolutely amazing from the lanai. Could sit here all day and watch the surfers, whales, dolphins. The other side of the unit near the bedroom was 4 steps up and a very short walk from the main entrance and parking lot next to the road. There was quite a bit of road noise that even the sound of the waves did not muffle. The furnishings were nice and it was very clean. And the property manager Kim was very responsive. The property, pool and grounds were immaculate and easy to get to restaurants, beaches and shopping. "

Loved the Kuleana property, location, and amenities. This particular unit was perfect for our family of 4 -- great master bedroom with a pullout couch. This unit also had a great view, was just a half-flight of stairs up, and perfect location: close to the rock entry to great snorkeling, the sandy beach, and the pool. Can't recommend highly enough."

The view was breathtaking, the unit was clean and updated, and the grounds and pool were immaculate! The video surveillance and locked gate were a definite plus and helped us to feel secure in our lodging. But, the best part of our stay was Kim Marie Lopez, the Vacation Property Manager! She kept up with our every need and showed extreme kindness in dealing with a sleep-deprived, incoherent guest. I appreciate her professionalism and kindness; she made us feel like family instead of clients. A great, big Mahalo to her!

"Wonderful Stay!
We stayed for a week in this condo and it was absolutely perfect for us. The location is wonderful and the entire property is really well kept - there were flowers blooming everywhere! Parking spaces were abnormally small so I don't recommend renting a large vehicle. The beach was easy to access and not busy - it was also great snorkeling. There were 5 or 6 turtles swimming and beaching there every day and it was so much fun to snorkel with them. This condo comes equipped with a couple of folding chairs for the beach so no need to rent your own - maybe just the umbrella for some shade. If we ever make it back to Maui, Kuleana will be the top on our list for a place to stay. Thank you for a wonderful vacation!"

"Perfect location and view!!
When we walked in the front door, we knew we had the right place! The ocean is a stone's throw from the nicely appointed lanai. You can see several islands as well as sea turtles, whales and more!
The unit has been newly remodeled and beautifully done. The bed is comfy. A/C in the bedroom which helped a lot. There is also a pull down shade on the lanai which helped during the late afternoons.
We were able to snorkle at the beach right there with sea turtles everywhere!! It was an amazing experience.
The resort itself is just beautiful. We felt like we were in our own little world as it was quiet and peaceful and just what we were looking for.
It is also centrally located so we were able to go into Lahaina multiple times with ease as well as walk to the Farmer's Market and other restaurants about a mile down the road.
The only issue we had was trying to find the initial key box. Directions were a bit hazy. But the on site manager was incredibly helpful and on more than one occasion.
There is no washer and dryer in unit and we had a really difficult time figuring out where the laundry room was, but finally figured it out.
We will definitely rent this unit again!! "

"Not worth the money I paid!
The manager failed to send me the instructions to access my room. I had to wait 45 minutes for her to send me the document. On the phone, she tried to blame this on me by telling me I should've had the instructions printed. She said she emailed me three times, and I believed her and apologized for the inconvenience. I checked my email later and found out she didn't send me any instructions until I called her. The keys to the pool, gate and laundry were not in the room as promised. I emailed her and told her about this and the broken drawer in the bathroom. She said someone would be by the next morning. Someone came by in the morning and told us she would be back in 90 minutes, she didn't come. We waited at least for 90 minutes and then decided to leave. When I got back, I emailed her and told her we didn't get the keys. 8:30pm I received an email telling me they were in the lock box but she failed to give me the code. I didn't get the keys until 11:30 pm-no access to the pool, for one full day, and it was a pain getting in the front gate. The next day I found out they have an ant problem. I left a box of crackers on the counter and it was filled with ants. I emailed her about this and told her I just came from another rental place and not once did I see any ants. I also told her we have rentals on Oahu and I know you can make sure there are no ants. She said she will send someone the next day, no one came. She responded to me by saying, "As stated in the rental agreement this can happen and we will act upon your report in a timely manner. I'm sorry that you did not have your arrival info email with you. It states in the first paragraph that it is important because it includes instructions to get access to the condo. It is disturbing that you feel that there has been problems instead of enjoying your time on our beautiful island." I asked for a discount but she refused. The view and apartment are nice but the manager isn't easy to work with. No beach in the front."

" Anniversary Getaway
My husband and got away for our 35th wedding anniversary at the Kuleana condos. The location was great, not far from local town for a nice walk in the morning. Ocean was right out our back door, so seeing how my husband is a surfer, this was a perfect spot. He was basically the only one out for hours and if you are a surfer, you know that’s nearly impossible to have the surf to yourself.
The weather didn’t completely cooperate but we filled in our time with great drives and going to great restaurants.
You won’t be disappointed with this sweet little slice of paradise. "

I wanted one thing for my beach vacation: to stay in a condo that was right on the beach, where i could wake up, look at the waves, and go to the beach. and we did! the place was perfect for us; a 10 minute walk from stores and restaurants, very comfy bed. Will definitely recommend and return. "

"Amazing in Maui
The view is unbelievable. The second you walk in the door, you can see the ocean. The apartment is beautiful. The grounds are very well kept. It was peaceful and quiet. The beach is about 100 feet from the door. At least another dozen beaches are within a 10 min drive. I will definitely stay here again and recommend anyone to stay here too!!"

"Nice Get-Away
Everything went smoothly, nice condo complex, grounds are well maintained. The view from the lanai is perfect, saw many sea turtles. Condo was small, but well decorated. Only complaint I have is that the tile floors were dirty. Tried to leave shoes at front door as requested, but the bottoms of my feet got black from dirt on the floors. Everything else was clean."

Condo was perfect! Just what we needed. Nicely remodeled. Amazing location in Napili as close to the ocean as you can get. We opted to use the pull out sofa bed which was surprisingly comfortable and was right next to the floor to ceiling sliding glass doors which we left open at night to fall asleep to the crashing waves. Close to a farmer's market and coffee shop and away from the heavily trafficked tourist areas. Would stay here again! Recommend for couples who are looking to relax and enjoy Maui."
