"10/10 house and experience!
I had an incredible time at this house! The check-in process was super easy, and the home itself is huge with tons of natural light. I especially loved the backyard — and the views were amazing: both the one out front of Lanai and the stunning mountain views behind the house. It felt very private, safe, and was in a really convenient location. I’m definitely looking forward to coming back.

"Last Minute Paradise
Such a lovely surprise. Sean & Magda are great hosts and were able to accommodate me last minute! The home is spacious and perfect for our group. One of my favorite things about the home was going down to the orchard and picking fresh citrus - lemons, limes, grapefruit, oranges! We could even watch the whales from the hot tub!"

"Serenity - A peaceful retreat
Our stay was wonderful at the estate. We enjoyed fruit orchard and picked some fruits everyday. Each outdoor sitting arrangement was so lovely that our family didn't want to get out of home. Agency gave us a nice tour of the house on day 1 and our stay was smooth. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family. Whole house has a Balinese vibe to it and its very peaceful. "

"Makena Aloha Estate
The home was OK but not quite as expected. There is a view of the ocean but only if you’re standing up. The hedge should be lowered in order to see the view. The owner has locked what we think is a pantry so we had no where to store our dry food. We had to use a corner of the kitchen to stack everything. Very tacky for what we paid and it looked ridiculous. We have rented homes on the island before so we are well of the bug situation. However, what we weren’t prepared for was several tack strips throughout the home with one in the living area with a dead rat on it. Our 3 year old found it as we were watching the T.V. Also, there was not at vacuum. We only found a small dust buster that didn’t work because it was missing a filter. I don’t think the Ohana or guest house was represented correctly. It was quite a distance from the house and a little inconvenient. Every other home we rented has been right next to the home or attached. The rental agency was very responsive when we had issues which we appreciated. I feel we would not rent this house again but I would recommend this home to others as long as they were aware of my concerns. "

"Excellent location.
We had a wonderful vacation with a fantastic location and home. However, if I had to mention something comparing to the 3 other homes we stayed in the same area in the past, it would be the fact that this house is old, and despite the great location, the hedge on the other side of the swimming pool and the wooden fence with some plants are blocking the beautiful view, which is unfortunate."

"Review of Makena Villa
It is a beautiful villa set in a nice and quiet location and yet very close Lahaina, Kaanapali and many other beaches and amenities. We all love the pool,, the Sap, the ground and the orchard. However a few thing were missing which could have made ouyr vacation more peasant:
We were told at the time of booking that heating the pool will cost $200 per day but when we asked to heat the pool we were told it will be $300 per day - no if and buts. There were two umbrella-stands beside the pool but there were no umbrellas for a bit of shade for the kids. Outdoor dinning chairs, most of them had no cushions and thus very hard for sitting for 2 to 3 hours for lunch and dinners. There were a very few or no hangers in the closets. Sliding doors in the main villa were very hard to slide - they need some oiling or cleaning. Light outside the Gust Cottage stayed on all night thus making it difficult to sleep in one of the rooms. Parts of the lawn were always wet and muddy and so when the kids came back after running around, their shoes will be all muddy and we. There were lots of bugs and critters in both the houses and not very clean.
These are honest feedback to help you make the villa more attractive so please take them in that context. "

"Lahaina Private Paradise
We loved how private and quiet this house was. Not far from shopping and restaurants, but tucked into a high end residential neighborhood with its own pool. Added bonus, the citrus trees on the property were producing fresh fruit that we enjoyed. The layout of the house gave everyone their own private space when they wanted it, but the common areas were great when we wanted to get together. "

"Family Paradise
This house and grounds were absolutely perfect for celebrating our 40th anniversary with our family of 9(soon to be ten!). The house couldn’t have been better equipped for 8 adults and 3 littles ( 5, 4, 2) . Also well equipped for beach excursions. Ten minutes to Lahaina for boat excursions and 15-20 to Kaanapali and Kapalua. Nice to come back to beautiful pool relax, and watch sunset after dining on beautiful lanai. Magnificent!"

"Awesome Makena Aloha Estate Family Vacation
This was the best family vacation EVER! Our family of 10 adults and 1 toddler enjoyed every moment. The house was beautifully appointed and very clean. We were greeted by Tina M., the property manager, who was available throughout our vacation to answer any questions that came up about the house or where we could find the best pizza. She was super responsive to our queries. The house and cottage had everything and anything we needed except the groceries and libations. :) The beautiful pool and spa were used daily by our crew. Our 18 month old grandson was very comfortable in the house. Everything that was needed for a little one was provided. The location was amazing, just up the road from the Launiupoko Beach and close to Lahaina with so much to see and do. Whale watching was a huge hit for everyone. We played golf in Kapalua. We zip lined with Skyline Eco-Adventures near Haleakala. Highly recommend! Our crew had an amazing adventure. We truly enjoyed Fleetwood's on Front Street in Lahaina for sunset dining, as well Mala's on Front Street was excellent. I highly recommend this property for family gatherings! Mahalo."

The location was not on the beach but for the price and quality of house you could not do better. We had no problems getting anywhere we needed to go in just a few minutes . "Amazing views, beautiful home away from home!!!
This is the first time we've stayed in a place like this... and we are ruined for life!! We'll never do it different! Its has everything like a hotel does (so you only need your clothes) but you can buy groceries and cook just like you were home! It has everything it states (including the fruit orchard), located up the hill from Front street, and the property managers responded by text to even the smallest thing (smoke detector beeping - came in an hour to replace the batteries). Loved the pool and hot tub facing the water... we spent plenty of time staring and dreaming!! We'll be back and I have plenty of nursing friends who have heard all about it and are going to keep it as an option when they visit next!! Excellent experience for our 3 generations... beds for everyone!! Can't say enough good. "

"Maui Family Vacation
Arrived after dark so quite an experience to wake up to paradise. Very private, un-restricted ocean view. One level ranch home made it easy for my elderly mother to enjoy. Close to beach. Boogie boards, towels, beach chairs and cooler supplied making it easy to enjoy the beach. Short drive to old town Lahina my favorite. Comfortable beds, well appointed kitchen. Enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The guest house was very nice and had an easy short path to the big house. Wish we could have stayed longer."

"A place in Heaven for Seven
When arriving we were in awe of the scenery and views of the ocean, pool, trees, and other greenery outside. The cottage included was adorable but we didn't spend much time there. We were all in the main house and backyard most of the time. It was like looking around at heaven sent to us for a week. The manager provided excellent service for us and we were appreciative of her doing some breakfast grocery shopping for us before we arrived with a list we provided. Also thank you to both owner and manager for the new Keurig you obtained for our arrival. The property was very clean and well maintained and we would recommend it to everyone to rent. We enjoyed the Old Lahaina Luau, helicopter tour, pineapple plant tour, Sunday lunch at Longhi's and our grandson and parents loved the snorkeling and big tuna caught on their experience taking a boat to Molokini Bay."

"Over the top - seeing was believing!!
This was the first time we have used the air b&b services for accommodation. We took our entire family to Hawaii to celebrate the life of a loved one who passed away.
