CANCELLATIONS:

A sixty (60) day notice is required for cancellation. Cancellations that are made more than sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date will be refunded 100% damage/reservation deposit paid to LLC. If the reservation is during Peak Winter December through March and the week of a holiday, our policy requires ninety (90) days cancellation notice to receive 100% refund. This does not include any booking fees paid to an outside travel agency. In this case you will need to abide by their policies. Cancellations or changes that are made within 60 days or 90 days when applicable of the arrival date, forfeit the full advance payment and damage/reservation deposit. Cancellation, shortened stays or early departure does not warrant any refund of rent or deposit. You may choose to purchase travel insurance separately which we highly recommend. Nature and the lack of or the amount of sandy beach does not warrant a refund. We can not control nature or predict the weather or beach conditions. Our tropical environment is subject to pests. The resort complexes do regular treatments as does our management company. We ask guests to take care in cleaning up immediately after food items are used.

"a perfect choice for us
We were impressed when we first walked in. Everything clean and well organized. Even the cutlery was laid out in rows in the drawer. Amenities---couldn't ask for anything else. And it was nice to see that the last guests' old condiments weren't still lying around as they are in some properties. Appliances all worked, and the fridge has an icemaker. This corner condo has views of everything, and is perfect for watching the sunset, having dinner, or seeing the whales and turtles from above. The pool behind the property is very nice and has a covered eating area with two barbecues. We were most pleased with this property. It is as close to a boutique hotel as we have ever had in a rental condo. Also a perfect location for taking the boardwalk down the beach. Stores nearby including a massive grocery store. This is a great location and a superb property."

"Fabulous!
We had the best time! We loved everything and would definitely stay here again! The condo was perfect for us. Loved watching the whales and turtles while relaxing on the lanai, spectacular views! We sat on the beach right next to the condo and swam in the ocean many times on this trip.
The condo was comfortable, very clean and had everything we wanted and needed for our vacation.

"Disappointed
The unit had stunning views and was well-furnished and appointed. But the shower drain was plugged, leaving us standing in water after a brief shower. The floors and living room rug were very dirty, as were the sofa pillows. If we walked barefoot across the floor, the bottom of our feet would be filthy. And all the windows were caulked shut, leaving no ventilation other than the sliding door to the lanai, especially in the bathroom. Our complaint after our visit received a curt reply."

"Maui Whale Watch Trip February 2024
We had a wonderful stay at Maui Kai 908. The condo was clean, well supplied, and in a great location. The lanai was perfect for sitting and watching whales. We also had a great view of the ocean and the beach from the large side window by the kitchen table. The condos were quiet and you never heard any neighbors. was quick to respond when we had an issue with our key card. "

The condo was perfect! Clean, well decorated, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, spices, etc. best of all is the great view from the dining table window and lanai! Nothing better than falling to sleep with the sound of crashing waves! We have stayed at Maui Kai before and will be back to this unit! Love walking to Whaler’s Village or Maui Brewing. Very quiet complex!"

"Spectacular View but Tired Decor
This is an older property from the 1960s-70s that feels more personal than the mega-hotels in the area. Watching dozens of turtles travel the shoreline, boats, wind surfers, and the weather from the lanai was just wonderful! The pool is small, well-maintained, they has a nice building with a full kitchen, ping pong, and restrooms for the guests. Two BBQs and covered shelter house a few picnic tables outside, making it welcoming and giving it a warm sense of community. Guests appreciated having power there after losing it in our early in the hurricane.

You would be hard-pressed to find a corner condo with a 180 degree view like this one! The down side is that the decor is outdated, feels tired, and all the brown color make it feel less than fresh. The air conditioning is piped into the bedroom but does not cool it at all. No windows open in the condo. The hurricane knocked out the electricity 8 hours after arrival, and the sliding glass doors needed to stay closed, of course, (which was no fault of the management, of course).

In general, the kitchen is sparsely equipped (dishes, pots and pans, towels) with little space a for groceries, so be careful not to over purchase during shopping! Minimal linens in kitchen, 5 dishwasher tablets; no tissue box, and one roll of toilet paper in the bathroom.

The staff were attentive and kind. When cell phones were still working, we phoned in a repair request, they had it fixed within 90 minutes. It's an easy walk to restaurants and food trucks, but lines are long and streets are very busy.

We departed 2 days early due to safety concerns in the area and dwindling options, so our experience was more challenging than if we had been there another time. Again, no fault of the Maui Kai.

We would return or recommend it to others if condo was updated to be more closely aligned with the nightly price, and if the air conditioning cooled the bedroom. (Our rating is not based on/influenced by an"

"Magnificent views from the 9th floor
This corner unit property is all about the views pointing West for incredible sunsets along with seasonal whale watching. The unit has been mostly updated nicely and is very well equipped with everything we needed including beach chairs / towels, cooler and pull cart. Only negatives were the overall building is quite dated and difficult beach access to the north side. Would recommend for anyone looking for a comfortable stay with incredible ocean views without those annoying resort fees "

"Stay Here!
My husband and I went here recently for our Honeymoon and wow! We absolutely cannot say enough good things about this property. Very clean and well maintained. Properly stocked with kitchen supplies, beach chairs, snorkel gear, etc. We hadn’t thought of a couple things at the store that we would need like coffee filters and were happily surprised to find some in the kitchen already! From the lanai we were able to spot tons of whales/breaches, stingrays swimming below, and quite a few turtles! The location was amazing as you have lots of great places just a short drive away and you can access the beach boardwalk on foot! It was a little bit of a walk but we walked down to whalers village for dinner a couple of times and enjoyed going to dukes which was just a short walk on the boardwalk! If and when we come back to Maui we will 100% be coming back to stay here. Thank you for everything! "

"Comfortable condo with amazing view!
We had a wonderful stay in beautiful Maui at this updated and well-appointed condo. The ocean view was truly amazing as we enjoyed morning coffee and sunset cocktails on the lanai. We were even treated to views of rainbows over the ocean including one at 10pm at night with a full moon! The only thing I might have liked was a couple extra blankets for the beds, but we were comfortable at night with the weather. I just enjoy the weight of an extra blanket. "
