Living area, dining area, kitchen with breakfast bar. PLUS, large private view deck looking out towards ocean. Beach chairs, pool/beach towels, full size appliances including air conditioning and washer dryer.

General Info:
The Maui Sunset is located on over 5 acres of oceanfront at Kihei which is considered one of the best locations on the Valley Isle. Kihei is noted for its year-round sunshine, balmy trade winds, and soothing evening air. It is one of the driest and sunniest areas on the entire island, averaging only 10 inches a year! World famous swimming and snorkeling beaches are minutes away at one of the many sandy safe beaches at Kihei and nearby Wailea. Just a short distance (6 miles) from five championship 18-hole resort golf courses at Wailea and Makena. The two buildings frame and protect a large recreational area that is carefully attended and landscaped. The 60-foot swimming pool with its broad decks and abundance of pool furniture invites you to improve on your tan.

"Great spot for family!
There was two adults and three kids in our group and there was plenty of room. Place was clean and we felt right at home. They provided boogie boards and snorkle gear (for one). The gym was small with no windows but the equipment was in good shape and fine for a quick workout. Tennis rackets/balls and shuffle board equipment is provided and kept the kids entertained. The BBQ area was nice and not crowded. Grocery store is close by ($6 Uber). The beach at Maui Sunset is rocky in the water but nice. It's just a short trip (10-30 minutes) to lots of other really nice beaches more south and about 30-40 minutes to Kanaapali or Paia. The host was very responsive. We had an issue with ants and they sent someone the next day. "

We had a great time! Check in was super easy. Condo had everything we needed. It was so nice to have the beach chairs and towels available. I would say the only thing the housekeeping missed was the patio furniture was dirty so we had to wipe it down before using! Overall I would come again! Also, super easy to get to airport."

"A519 condo review
Unfortunately, the unit was in a terrible condition. The kitchen walls were dirty and food stained. Once we had the ants under control, washed the walls and floor daily, it was a little better. The liner curtains were torn, ripped and soiled. The carpet was stained and rippled so badly we were concerned that we might trip and fall. Dust covered every surface, especially the rattan furniture. Worn furniture can be expected in a rental. However dusty and soiled is not acceptable. As I said: once we got the ants under control the kitchen was better...This was our 7 th stay at the Maui Sunset. We sincerely hope the units will be in better shape the next time. "

Very happy with the location of the condo. Not happy about the cleanliness of the condo. 1 chair was badly stained. stains on the carpet and it seems as the carpet was not vacuumed. Housekeeping took a picture of chair and left it there. very happy with location and view. Not so happy with condition of condo."

"Great View - Sad Beach - Outdated Condo
Vacation in Maui, top notch life goal, a success. Knowing what I know now I would have stayed somewhere else, probably up by Lahaina as most activities were up that way, the beaches were nicer and condos appeared to be more up to date.
Our condo had amazingly beautiful views of the ocean, pool, shuffle board and tennis courts. However, one set of shuffle boards were totally stripped and was more of an eyesore and every night, every morning we went to bed and woke up with a homeless man sleeping on the tennis court.
Inside the condo was very outdated, bamboo or tiki hut style furniture, stained couches, old appliances, and small beds. Luckily we didn’t speed a lot of time in the condo, primarily a place to sleep. The air conditioning units were on timers where you had to twist a knob on the wall that set a timer similar to what you use in the kitchen when timing food. Once the timer was done your air conditioning was turned off until you reset the timer. Stains leading into the condo in the hall way and stains on the floor in the condo. No TVs in the bedrooms so if you are going to bed you have nothing to fall asleep to. All in all I would never stay in this condo again. Definitely paid too much for what you got. "

"Maui Sunset
Well to begin , the office closes a little too early for people traveling from Eastern Mainland . The security guard was new and gave us misinformation . We arrived on Saturday evening about 7:00 pm and told us we only had one key for four adults and no way to get to pool , hot tub and water activities . You need a fob to enter and he said that would be Monday . I called the booking agency and they tried to help but were unable . We did call on Sunday and get through to someone ,
It was about noon to 1:00 pm. We were upset because after a long plane ride it would of been great to soak in a hot tub. The manager would not compensate us however Travelocity did ."

October stay in 2 bdrm standard ocean front - #519.
VERY dirty unit and clearly there is very little maintainence happening with the unit. Cleaned for HOURS. Ants. Covered couches with bedspreads b/c the couches were filthy and need replaced. Curtains falling off the rods/broken. Refrigerator ancient & needed service on day 2. Closet where towels were stored smelled very badly, so towels did, too. Carpet fairly new. Unit too filthy to return or recommend. Excellent view from balcony, balcony furniture nice, beds comfortable. Outside of #519, the pool area, bbqs, parking, workout facility and grounds VERY WELL maintained. Will return, but only through direct owner rental."

Location was amazing overlooking the ocean and pool. Unit and furniture were very dated, needs upgrades. We originally booked a more updated unit but were moved to this one. I would not consider this a premium unit as it was described. Staff at Maui Sunset was very congenial and helpful."

"Not as expected
The views from the 5th floor balcony were incredible. The Maui Sunset grounds are impeccably manicured. The interior however, was not what the pictures showed. We were completely disappointed in the condition of the interior. When we arrived there was a note stating the floors needed cleaned, but were not. There were black tracks marks on the carpets throughout. The kitchen was not clean, we found dirty dishes & the refrigerator was also dirty. The bathroom had toothpaste on the mirror and master shower had soap scum buildup on wall & floor was dirty. Found cobwebs on walls & all ceiling fans. In the master we found blood stains on the comforter. We called the mgmt company & sent them photo's of our issues. They sent over a couple to clean the condo. They did a poor job at best. Cheryl [manager] came to inspect and ended up cleaning up the areas as best she could since we just moved in for our 2 week stay. I would not recommend this room until it is completely renovated."
