Experience
This home is situated on the walking trail of Walua Road.
The Walua Trail is a welcoming, paved pathway perfect for walking, jogging, or biking. Stretching about six miles round trip, it’s a favorite among both locals and visitors for its scenic views and relaxed atmosphere. Offering a quieter, low-traffic alternative to busier routes, the trail is partly separated from the road, though some sections do run alongside residential areas.
The first three miles include a steady uphill climb—especially after the 1.5-mile mark—rewarding you with a breezy, downhill return that makes the trip back especially enjoyable.
Area
Kona & Keauhou
The sunny Kona Coast is famous for its crystal-clear waters, rich history, and endless activities. Just eight miles south of Kona International Airport, you’ll find historic Hawaiian landmarks such as Huliheʻe Palace, Mokuʻaikaua Church, and Ahuʻena Heiau. Kona is also world-renowned for its deep-sea fishing, hosting the annual International Billfish Tournament each August, as well as the legendary Ironman World Championship triathlon every October. The cooler upland slopes are home to the island’s iconic Kona coffee farms, offering tours and tastings.
Visitors can enjoy snorkeling, diving, paddling, and spotting spinner dolphins or Hawaiian sea turtles gliding near the shore. A stroll along Aliʻi Drive offers oceanfront dining, shopping, and the perfect view of boats passing by at sunset.
Just south of Kona lies Keauhou Bay, the birthplace of King Kamehameha III. Today, it’s a vibrant hub for ocean adventures—whether swimming, canoeing, kayaking, snorkeling, or experiencing the unforgettable sight of manta rays gliding through the water at night.
