"Casa de Emdeko 332
Overall, our stay in 332 was very pleasant. A couple of items came up. The washer has problems starting up, but it did work the few times we needed laundry done. Also, the Emdeko Board should look at the stopped rain drain coming from the roof. A few times a lot of rushing rain water got dumped onto our third floor lanai.
The unit was in good shape and nice to stay in. Knutson has served us well for seven stays in a few different Kona condos. Thank you guys!"

Except for the up and downs of the stairs, dragging suitcases over all of them, it was quite nice. Really liked their saltwater pool being right on the coast. Conveniently located, not enough parking. "

"A Basic Condo in a Great Location
Casa de Emdeko is a great property with many pluses. While this unit is clean, it's a unit waiting for a remodel out of the 1980's. If that's not going to happen, then the large deck space would benefit from pull-down shades since it's full sun in January until midafternoon. And the deck would be more useable if the two large beach chaise chairs were swapped for two comfortable chairs. There were a few small things that could benefit from attention to detail, but overall the plus of location wins over the minus of a very basic unit, along with the fact that Knutson is a responsive and reliable property management company."

"Unit 332
This is your basic unit with the basics. Not many extras. Pros: TV in the bedroom, good air conditioning and a jack and jill bathroom. This is a big plus if someone is sleeping on the sofa sleeper. Not all 1 bedrooms have this access. Cons: A bit dated, lock box for the key. This was a big aggravation for me. The instructions said to always leave the key in the lock box. It was hard to operate and a keyless entry would have been much better."

"Dropped the ball.
Cabinet hinge in kitchen disconnected almost hitting me where I caught it saving the door from further damage. I jury rigged a way to keep the door from falling. I called Knutson several times all day with no response till the next morning where the excuse was "very sick" to respond. Do not accept.
Location was excellent. Needs upgrades with pillows,fans work on only 1 speed, need screen door closer & need light blanket. Also, initialed my name on the rental agreement more than my last mortgage. Lawyers are earning their money. "

"Lovely Setting
The unit was perfect for our needs. Kitchen and bath very well stocked, plus items to take to the beach like chairs, noodles, beach towels and a cooler. Bed and other furnishings were comfortable. The location was the perfect launch point for our daily activities as well. Would definitely stay here again!"

"Knutson & Associates came thru for us
For 7 years my wife and I had used another condo rental agency. They were OK and usually got the job done to our satisfaction. Then our nephew called to tell us he had had a great experience at Knutson & Assoc. We were hesitant bc the other agency was satisfactory. To appease our nephew we contacted Knutson & Associates and knew immediately we had made the right choice. The agents were professional, friendly and informed. There was nothing "satisfactory" about this agency... they were outstanding. And Knutson Plus's support didn't stop the day we arrived. They were there throughout the month of our stay for two or three minor issues. And they took those very minor issues seriously and didn't dismiss our needs. Knutson Plus we are here to stay. "

"Outdated but great complex/location
We were a bit underwhelmed by the decor/accommodations of our stay. It could definitely use some updated decor, paint, etc. Seemed a bit dingy. But the location was great, the grounds were nice and it's great if you're looking for a quiet and relaxing stay. I would definitely stay at these condos again but in a different unit."

"Great location but dated.
Well, when we first walked into the apartment we were a little disappointed but then we warmed up to it. It’s pretty dated, granted they had painted a little here and there, but overall still early eighties.. also, when we walked in, it was pretty stuffy. We turned on the air conditioner which helped. I later noticed that the intake filter in the ceiling for the air system looked like it may have never been exchanged. We never did see anyone from the management except for far to many rule signs. We did see the cleaning and maintenance ladies and they were hard working and keeled the grounds in grate shape. We really liked the pools and the beach."

"Enjoyable Stay
The environment was nice, friendly, and close to Kona beach front activities. Helo bus service is inexpensive to go north to the main tourist area (5-10 minutes by car) and a local deli is on the site. Enjoyed laid back style and sounds of waves crashing on the rocks. They created their own beach. two pools since you can't swim in the ocean because of rocks. "

"Great Stay in Kona
We stayed at Casa De Emdeko for 2 weeks. Excellent location close by the downtown area, restaurants and shops (walkable, quick bike ride or a short drive). Property was easily accessible, quiet and view was great from the lanai, especially during sunrise and sunset. We also enjoyed the amenities on the property (pools and lounge areas). The property management company was easy to work with and was always available. Overall wonderful and relaxing stay!"

Casa de Emdeko is the best place to stay on the Big Island. My husband and I prefer the 3rd floor with a view of the ocean. Casa De Emdeko #332 was well maintained and a feeling of safety. Swimming is our main activity while in Hawaii."

"Kona Vacation
We rent yearly condos on all Hawaiian Islands. This was our second time on the big island. We found the facilities here among the best of all our stays. The condo was spotless but we were surprised that there was no condiments left from previous guests or welcome information for trolley schedule or pickup. All drink wear was plastic. I had to go to Walmart so I could buy a proper drink glass for drinks on the lanai. Burnt out light bulb was replaced within 1/2 hr. Wifi was not available by the pools so was disappointed I could not stream music to my headset there. All in all a very relaxing 3 weeks. Would definitely consider here for another visit."

"Great staycation location
My Hubby and I live on the Eastside of the Big Island and wanted to enjoy the sunsets, the food and The palm trees wrapped in Christmas lights. We spent 3 night and had a wonderful time. The condo was clean and I enjoyed swimming in the saltwater pool. The residents are friendly and welcoming. The complex is quiet and the sunsets where beautiful. We would definitely stay there again. It’s close enough to Kona that it can be walked, only 1.8 miles to the heart of Kona. The property management team was very friendly and provided great tips on local eats and places to visit. All in all it was the perfect stay, and we plan on doing this again soon!"

Good location. Glad to have the AC. Would choose to have a room on the south side to avoid sun in the morning. Room had the items we needed for the beach the grills were convenient and modern, building was well maintained for its age.
Very much enjoyed the salt water pool.
Staff was helpful when completing arrangements. Over all a nice facility we would come again."

Casa de Endemko was part of making our vacation magical. The kind of place where your shoulders go down and you feel immediately at home! The updated unit was very comfortable with all the amenities you need.Miss having our breakfast on the lanai! "The Right Place to Relax
What a wonderful place to relax and enjoy Hawaii. The condo was clean and room enough for two people. Well furnished and equipped with all the necessary kitchen supplies. Needed to buy salt and pepper. Enjoyed each day sitting and looking out over the ocean. Two concerns: parking is only on right (north) side of the complex and it is really hard to see the resort’s sign especially at night. "

We were very happy at Cass De Emdeko and unit 332. The location and property were great - amazing pools, private beach and directly on the ocean. The building was quiet and well maintained and our unit was well stocked. We had a wonderful time here and would not hesitate to reccomend or come back ourselves. "

"relaxing vacation in Kona
A great place for a quiet and relaxing vacation. Far enough from Kailua and the noise, but only a few minute drive to all the shopping and restaurants. I especially liked the sandy area with the palm trees just off the salt water pool. Perfect place to sit and read, nap, or whatever. Having a washer and dryer in the room was a definite plus. One small problem though. We arrived back at the room late one night and a small package had been delivered addressed to a person we did not know. The next morning I called the resident manager and left a voicemail asking what we should do with the package. We never received a call back. What if our call to the manager was about a serious issue? That kind of bothered me. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again."

"Great Stay in Kona
We very much enjoyed our time at Casa de Emdeko 332. It is a lovely condo with all the necessities including a washer and dryer. It, also, includes extras such as beach chairs and mats for trips to the beach. It is located about 2 miles from the Kona Pier, an easy walk. Each day we enjoyed our breakfast on the lanai with a beautiful view of the cabana area and ocean. The Casa de Emdeko grounds are immaculately kept. The management staff was very pleasant and helpful. We look forward to our return next year."

"December at Casa
This is our fifth or sixth stay at Casa and as usual it was wonderful. This unit is located very close to the ocean so you have great views of the ocean. The kitchen was nicely equipped with everything we needed. The owner has provided everything you need for a wonderful beach excursion, towels, chairs, mats, noodles, an ice chest and three hats! "Great Kona Condo!
The condo was very clean, nicely appointed and exceeded our expectations. The unit has central air, which was a nice luxury! The condo was very comfortable for the two of us, but could easily accommodate up to two more guests. There was plenty of parking and the spaces were comfortably large. The unit included a coffee grinder (perfect for the Kona coffee beans you pick up during your stay), a blender, and pretty much any kitchen utensil you could ask for.
There are two pools on the property, but we only used the salt water pool, which was just the right temperature and big enough to swim laps.
At first I thought it was strange that the rental agency used a smartphone app for communication, but it turned out to be VERY convenient. It was much easier to open the app to get driving directions and arrival/departure instructions than it would have been to dig through email to find the information. "

"Excellent stay!
The agents were very nice and they responded to the emails very fast.
Everything is provided in the accommodation, and it's a short drive to downtown Kona. Everything was clean, and the view was excellent. One downside would be the parking...we arrive on Christmas eve and apparently the office was on vacation (didn't specify an end date) and there was also a sign that said "all unregistered cars will be towed". I kept going to the parking office for the next 4 days but there was no one there. I wish there were more instructions of what to do. Other than that, the experience was excellent. "

"Our stay at Case de Emdeko 332
Our comments above refer to the unit, and not the grounds. The grounds were very nice and well maintained and we very much enjoyed the amenities.
The problems with unit 332 were age, upkeep, the bed is listed as a queen and I believe it is a double, there are cracks in the ceilings and walls, the chairs on the lanai were so deteriorated that pieces of the fabric clung to our clothes. Twice I had to reattach the latch and handle on the front screen door.
The GOOD things are that it was well stocked with linens, kitchen wares, the washer/dryer were new and efficient, the view was spectacular, the convenience store out front was super, the proximity to Kailua was perfect."

"Staying at Casa De Emdeiko
Bad review 1st. Stayed 4 nights and was charge over 100.00 for clean up was somewhat excesses. We had to clean coffee pot and dishes that was suppose to had been clean. Why not call it resort fee instead of clean up fee. Bed was on wheels so it would move when you got in or out. Furniture needs to be upgrade/replaced shows wear and tear. Needs another elevator in the middle of complex instead of the beginning as most people that stay here are elderly and need of help.

"Casa D Unit 332
Kona is a beautiful place, this was our eighth trip there and would return again. Knutson & Co. have always been there for any assistance that was needed. I was disappointed in our unit as the furnishing was well worn, the kitchen equipment was very old and sadly lacking in the dishes department. Over the years, we have stayed in several of the one bedroom units in Casa D, this trip was the most we have paid for a unit and it was the least attractive of any of the units we have ever stayed in."

Property "Old Hawaii" Historical complex very well kept up. The unit 332 would not stay in again. fan, lights not working drapes broke. WHOLE unit very dirty, furniture, and floors. windows. Unit needs to be cleaned, cleaned out and painted and updated. Then I would happily stay in this unit again. Like I said property, pools, and view were Great, just not Unit 332. "

"Really Old and Worn
The suite we stayed in this trip is in real need of updating. The dishes, cutlery and kitchen accessories are all very old, very worn, some are broken. The dishes and glasses are very old, plastic and worn. The appliances were fine.
The unit is rented for vacationers, but did not contain any vacation supplies such as a cooler, beach towels, beach mats, or beach chairs. The lanai needs new furniture and an outdoor fan.
The unit was fairly clean, although it smelled strongly of insecticide spray and the glasses all needed cleaning.
the location is wonderful, i will stay at Casa again, but would not stay in that unit again. The owner needs to spend some money to provide updated supplies. "

"bugs on the floor
Hello,
I have been coming to the Casa for over 20 years. The place we had, 332, had not been cleaned before we got there well. It had 17 dead cockroaches on the floor and really the owner of this unit needs to get a set of dishes that match and a set of glasses. That is not too hard. I actually enjoy cooking when we
could do with a freshening up, some new bed covers, some decent art on the wall and on the lanai.
So this unit was not good on that. I have stayed in probably 6 other units at the Casa which on the whole were much better. I love the place and will return. "

"Unit 332
The property was nice and in a good location, close to town etc. The unit itself was in bad need of updating. There was tile falling off of the counter, torn upholstery on the furniture, and just very dated and worn in general. Also, the lock on the door was inadequate, could be easily opened with a credit card, no dead latch and no viewer to see who was at the door. The last night we were there someone tried to open the door at 12:30 am. We would stay at this property again, but not in this unit."
