The Keauhou Surf and Racquet Club is a gated community of condominiums. There are three professional style tennis courts with night lighting. The large remodeled swimming pool is ideal for “laps” and also for small children and other water activities. Showers and restrooms are conveniently located in the large pavilion near the swimming pool and tennis courts.
One of the most interesting features of the Keauhou Surf and Racquet Club are the numerous archaeological sites. These preserved areas provide a glimpse of Hawaiian life years ago. Each site has a posted description of the activities that took place years and years ago.
The Keauhou Surf and Racquet Club has many gardens and walking trails. ONE GOES DIRECTLY TO A BEACH!! Flowers and tropical foliage are abundant. There are several outdoor barbecue areas for guests to go to.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancellations made ninety (90) days or more prior to arrival shall not be responsible for the final balance of the reservation. The $200 deposit made at the time of booking is non refundable after the booking is made. Cancellations of less than ninety (90) days prior to arrival shall forfeit the entire rent and excise tax (less cleaning fees) unless we are able to re-rent the property. Refunds on any forfeiture will be issued the dollar value the unit is re-rented for during the same dates as the canceled reservation. There is no refund for early departure or no shows.

"Stay was ok but lack of central air
The condo, was average condition, location etc. They definitely could use a different cleaning service. When I complained they offered to send group over next am tonredue things but we just did it ourselves. Fan and the room air conditioner filters were very dirty, inside of wash machine, bathroom mirrors needed a good cleaning but in general not too bad but could do better. The blinds in room are also huge dust collectors. Patio door did not lock but we weren’t too worried since unit was on 2nd floor. Again they offered to come and look at it but we said no just fix after we’re gone. Company was very responsive only complaint is it could be cleaner but not horrible. Air conditing could have been better. Average stay.

"Stunning views and location with immaculate surroundings
We spent 7 nights in January, with 4 adults and the rooms, bathrooms, and space were perfect for our family.

The waves were crashing hard against the shore just below the lanai and we took in an amazing display of the power of the ocean. The sounds were spectacular, and surprisingly, when the sliding doors and windows are closed it muffled the sound a bit. The high surf can affect the lower units in this building and the owners we spoke with in the nearby units were very helpful and friendly about the weather.

The unit has wonderful cross breezes in both bedrooms and living spaces, great screened windows and doors, and more fans than we needed. We saw lots of humpbacks from the unit and lanai, and spent a lot of time just enjoying the open air space.

The unit itself is much nicer than the photos show, its more spacious, very very clean (including furniture, floors, and linens) and includes a fully stocked kitchen that enabled our family chef to cook meals every day of fresh Ahi Tuna, Parker Ranch beef, classic Italian, local fruit juices and avocado toasts, and of course spam! The Hala Tree Coffee Farm is 15 minutes away and we toured and stocked up on coffee for the week.

We did not use the many amenities, instead we explored during the day and enjoyed coffee and dinners on the lanai.

Service was accessible and friendly, as easy as a text away to answer any questions.

Definitely a favorite location for future south Kona stays."

"Panaromic ocean views
This is an oceanfront corner condo on the second floor with a wrap around balcony which is very spacious and perfect for meals, lounging and watching sunsets.
We really enjoyed our stay. The location is very close to Kona and there's a black sand beach which is 5 minutes walk along the main road. "

"Nice Spot
The best part about this property is the outstanding, near-immediate response from Knutson & Assoc, whether it's about area information or rental questions. They are above first class.

While the condo advertises that it accommodates four people, it really only comfortably accommodates two. Both bathrooms have only one sink, and the master bedroom opens to the general living area and kitchen. It would be okay for two adults and two children. Noise from the unit above can penetrate, but it is tolerable.

The living area and kitchen are large and open onto a beautiful lanai, which commands a wonderful view of the ocean and is likely where you will eat all your meals. This is a large condominium resort with a pool, tennis and pickleball courts, but no hot tub. It is south of Kona proper and well-located for venturing north or south. It is close to two beaches, but they are usually overcrowded. The best beaches are about an hour north.

We enjoyed this place as our first time on the Big Island."

"Beautiful Clean apartment
This apartment had amazing views of the sunset and the ocean. The lanai was so relaxing to hang out on after a long day of exploring.
The only negative thing I have to say is the main bed in the master room isn't the most comfortable. Other than that, it was very clean and well taken care of. "

"Amazing oceanfront unit
We stayed for 9 nights at #5-201, which is a part of a well upkept gated community. The unit is amazing - spacious main room and granite top kitchen, 2 bathrooms and 2 bedrooms. Huge corner lanai where you can watch spectacular sunsets while having a dinner (yes, it's exactly as shown in the unit's pictures!). Unit does not have an AC, but we did not feel that we need one (in late August).
There's a good grocery store nearby and we often cooked for dinner (the kitchen is well equipped).
Very clean, feels very recently furnished. There's new washer and dryer in one of the bathrooms.
We very greeted by the host representative, Heather, who showed us the unit; she was very nice and even came back and brought us a new pitcher filter. Great communication with the host company.
There's a beach next to the complex - not really a swimming one, but nice for an evening stroll. Less than a mile to the popular Kahalu'u beach, 5 min to Keahou harbor (if you're up for tour), 12 min to Kona, 25 min to Two Step beach (our favorite).
We enjoyed our stay here very much."

"BEST BEST BEST PLACE TO STAY IN KEAUHOU!
Well, I’m hooked! We just had the best start-cation of our lives! This unit is so perfect... Nice and spacious with those amazing jaw-dropping ocean/sunset views! Everything was well-appointed and comfortable. We cooked most meals in the unit and had everything we needed. Loved the full-size fridge. Great linens, etc. Now about the complex...Pickleball every day? Oh my gosh I was in heaven! And our whole family learned how to play. When we weren’t playing pickleball, the boys were out on the rocks right in front of our unit fishing. They caught a few things that we cooked and ate. All of the Owners and tenants in the complex are so friendly and nice. It was such a laid-back feel with nobody breathing down our neck. We just loved it! And, like I said, I’m hooked - I’ve already started planning our next vacation at this complex, and even maybe in our same unit! Thank you so much for the best vacation of our lives. MAHALO!"
