Kona Magic Sands#309 is a DIRECT oceanfront, Top floor condo that is meticulously maintained, beautifully furnished, and has absolutely anything any guest could dream of.
Air Conditioning, Wifi, beach gear, linens, dishes, cookware, fully equipped!

This 3rd floor/Top Floor condo has such a beautiful view! Wake up to the ocean, hear the waves. Great whale watching during the winter months! Immediately upon walking in, you'll notice a well appointed mini kitchen that has a stove, sink, fridge and fully stocked with dishes. The bathroom has a walk in shower for you!

In the living area, there's a sitting area if you want to get some R&R watching TV. There's a small dining area as well by the Queen Sized Bed. This is an incredible option for 1 or 2 people looking to be direct beach front.

Kona Magic Sands is the only beachfront condominium complex in Kona. Enjoy an oceanfront pool there as well! There's a restaurant on site called Magics Grill as well!
Laundry use is available in the complex, which is a shared common area.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancellations made ninety (90) days or more prior to arrival shall not be responsible for the final balance of the reservation. The $200 deposit made at the time of booking is non refundable after the booking is made. Cancellations of less than ninety (90) days prior to arrival shall forfeit the entire rent and excise tax (less cleaning fees) unless we are able to re-rent the property. Refunds on any forfeiture will be issued the dollar value the unit is re-rented for during the same dates as the canceled reservation. There is no refund for early departure or no shows.

"Kona Magic Sands 309
This was our 4th stay at Kona Magic Sands, each time in a different unit. This was probably the most outdated unit we have stayed in. I don’t know if the owners are new to this unit. If so, I hope they will invest in new kitchen cabinets, new appliances, lights and fans. We did notice the new flooring and that’s a start. For my own comfort, the bed was too soft. I prefer a firm mattress for my back so for that reason alone i would choose another unit.
As far as property management, the unit was very clean and the property is as well maintained as can be considering the damage done to the sea wall by the surge during bad weather. Damaged areas were well marked. I would stay at Kona Magic Sands again just not in this unit until improvements have been made. All in all we enjoyed our stay on the Big Island. "

"Priceless view
I would love to give a 5 star. However, there were many issues that should be addressed for the next guests. These are simple fixes. First, bed sheets are Awful! Old, worn and scratchy. 2. One set of towels are not enough for a couple/week stay (I don't want to wash on VAC). 3. The rattan furniture is old, dusty and very uncomfortable. The details matter.
You would get return guests if these simple fixes were applied. As I stated the view is priceless."

We had a great time at this apt, the view was amazing, it had everything we need including a full equipped kitchen with even some basics for cooking, downstairs we had access to a beautiful beach and a delicious restaurant. Totally worth it!"

"Magic Sands Worth the Experience.
My Finance really enjoyed our time there, which made my time Great. Seriously, the condo had great views, we saw the "Green Flash" ! The restaurant on the property was really nice, great views, very good food.
The condo was easily accessible. Main thing besides view, very clean. I will probably make a return visit. "

"Fantastic Place to Stay
I felt like the rental property itself was everything that it promised to be. It was a beautiful room in a fantastic location with a beautiful view. I would probably stay there again.
I did have some issues with the management company. I felt like they were a little heavy handed and over the top with threats of punishments and fees if anything went wrong. I have never had to fill out and sign and initial ten pages of contract before being able to rent a place before. There was also some issues at check out. I left my keys behind and I was very grateful that they would mail them back to me, but I did feel like charging me $80 to mail some keys was a little outragious, especially after having just paid over $3,000 for the rental. I would have expected them to just charge the $12 shipping and done it as a courtesy service. I accidently left behind many other items which were never mentioned and ended up with someone for free. I feel like returning the keys as a courtesy service would have been more professional. "

"This gorgeous condo and location is a true gem!
The views from our open air condo were breathtaking! We saw dolphins, schools of fish, tide pools, sunsets, the moon and stars from the comfy furniture and bed! We left our huge sliding glass doors open to hear the waves crash against the lava rock.. we slept like babies! We didn’t need the air conditioning, as the cross breeze thru the condo was amazing! The condo was well appointed with; boogie boards, beach chairs, pool noodles, coolers, and all the kitchen supplies you need to cook if you choose. The restaurant and beach onsite are the best! Friendly and accommodating, along with the best food and drinks! We walked and biked All’i drive to all the get groceries, restaurants, and all the public access beaches. We also took the free open air trolley that makes a loop to all the above! It picks you up, and drops you off right at magic sands beach. The management company was available by phone or text if we needed to ask questions and were more than accommodating. We will be back! "

"You get what you pay for
The ocean view and location of this property were the two redeeming factors. The photographers did a great job making this condo look much larger and in better condition than it actually is. The one closet in the unit was packed so full of stuff it left no room to hang any clothes. The bedding consisted of sheets so thin you could see through them to a mattress that did not have a mattress protector, which is gross for a rental property. Overall, we would not stay here again. "

Well stocked apartment that thought of everything. The views are amazing and we watched humpbacks and spinner dolphins right from our table. It was quiet while we were there and being on the trolley stops made it convenient to be anywhere with ease. "

"Ocean views and wildlife right outside the sliding door
We enjoyed watching the yello tang and black humuhumu frolicking in the waves right beyond the rock wall, and the spinner dolphins and humpback whales further out. Conveniently located in walking distance from Kahalu'u for more intimate look at fish if snorkeling. Well-equipped, elegantly organized."

"Kona Magic Sands!
This is the place to rent if you visit Kona. Spacious, right beside the beach, listening to the waves. There's also a great beach shack and grill for breakfast/coffee/cocktails connected. They check in on you to see how everything is and give you anything you could possibly need in book with thorough descriptions (I didn't need anything, but if you do, the numbers/directions are there). If you're lucky enough to get a spot here, take it!!"

The property is in an amazing location with beautiful views. During our stay, the wifi did not work. We contacted the management company and they were not able to get it working. Beach chairs, umbrella, cooler were nice to have, but there were no beach towels. The bathroom and kitchen need some updating."
