The Owners of Casa#237 have completed an incredible remodel. Top of the Line Kitchen & Bathroom with an amazing walk in shower. They have also ADDED A 2ND HALF BATHROOM! Wow! Very rare and special amenity, nearly unheard of at the Casa De Emdeko, so 1 bedroom, 2 bathroom!

This Deluxe, Largest 1 bedroom Floor plan at the Casa De Emdeko features a generous 920 interior square feet, and is positioned in a fantastic location in the development. It's only one unit off the front of the building nearest to the ocean.

This 2nd floor condo has a spacious lanai for outdoor dining or sunbathing! From the large private covered lanai you'll have a big view of the ocean just a few steps away; with plumeria trees, palms, and the big round saltwater pool at the ocean's edge. There's another delightful freshwater swimming pool close by, in the gardens near the fountains. At sunset the conch is blown and the tiki torches lit for your mellow evening barbecuing on our gas grills or relaxing on the lanai.

The Bedroom has a King sized bed with it's own private bathroom that features 2 sinks, and a gorgeous huge walk in shower.

Refunds on any forfeiture will be issued the dollar value the unit is re-rented for during the same dates as the canceled reservation. There is no refund for early departure or no shows.

"Great Location
We always stay at Casa De Emdeko when we go to Kona-the location is great for us-just down from downtown ali'i drive which makes for a nice walk every morning. This was the nicest one we have stayed in because of the balcony set up and being right near the end of the units near the ocean. The amenities were fine-not having a washer and dryer in the unit was the only knock against it. They did have beach chairs for you to use and we used those at both hapuna and Makalawea beaches. We will definitely stay here again."

This unit has been remodeled and updated beautifully. Attention has been given to details like comfortable furniture, outlet placement, night lights, a refridgerator I'd like to take home, kitchen utensils, everything. "Fabulous 2 Weeks at Casa De Emdeko
Rented the recently renovated and well equipped unit 237 for 2 weeks in November 2022. Great stay on the sunny side of Casa De Emdeko. Day bed on lanai is wonderful spot.
Renovation was top notch. Great master bath and separate powder room. Nice desk adjacent to the kitchen. Room for indoor and outdoor dining.
Overlooks beach area, salt water pool and great view of the ocean.
Will definitely look for an opportunity to return."

"Beautiful unit, but complex could use some Aloha infusion.
Lovely unit, well maintained, great view, nicely appointed. Great TV for movie nights. Would recommend updating kitchen range/oven as elements seem to be inconsistent in temperature. No light above range and "surface hot red warning light" does not turn off. A light near the master bedroom toilet would be a welcome improvement. Aside from these minor issues the unit itself was above average compared to many of the 52 year old condos at the Casa. Our family were original owners of 116 and enjoyed over 40 years of long vacations in what we considered our second home. It held a special place in our hearts. This is the first time I've noticed a change in how the residents engage with renters, somewhat negative and cold.... far from the Aloha spirit of Hawaii we usually felt at the Casa.. Also the emergency construction in the adjacent unit should have been coordinated with Knutson and/or nearby units so we could avoid the horrible noise of a jackhammer on concrete that shook our unit. We did appreciate the follow up with Knutson after we complained about the noise that, at this point, had been going on for 3 or 4 days .In the future, we would advise Knutson to inform their clients of these unforeseen but necessary inconveniences while they are at the Casa so they can plan their day avoiding this."

"Quiet, Cozy, Updated Condo Right on the Ocean
We loved staying in this condo. The condo is updated with a very nice kitchen and shower. Our favorite part of the condo was the lanai which had a lounge bed and comfy furniture. There are trees blocking the view of the ocean as indicated in the photos, but you can hear the ocean waves from the balcony and overall you feel like you are right on the ocean. Every night we went to watch the beautiful sunset on the beach right outside the condo. The condo was equipped with beach chairs and lots of beach towels. We purchased a small umbrella and left that behind for the next guests. There were also fans in the closet which was nice. The air keeps it cool, but we like the extra noise at night. Overall, the condo had everything we needed and more. It was very quiet and private, the complex did not seem busy. The location is very convenient to Kailua-Kona with lots of restaurants and shopping a 5-minute drive away. You could also walk to town if you wanted, about 20 minutes. We can't wait to come back someday. "

"Great spot
Lovely spot with nice amenities. I recommend it for a couple or a small family. The space is nicely decorated, updated, and has AC. The ocean view is blocked by beautiful old frangipani trees. The community is friendly and welcoming. Great lava rock wall to sit and view the waves, dolphins, sunsets, and tide pools with crabs, fish, and eels. No elevator to bring bags up and down. The Saltwater pool was out of order during my short stay but the regular pool was open, and construction on passageways was going on. The work hours were reasonable and workers friendly. It impacted parking near accommodations, but all this shall pass, and the property will be better for it. Only small improvements would be the screen doors front and back, providing a starter laundry detergent, and connecting overhead light to switch in the main bedroom. I would stay here again without hesitation."

"Casa De Emdeko
This was our third visit to Casa De Emdeko and there were a few disappointments mainly the door to the lanai. This door was in appalling condition and it had been for a long time the runners we worn out and by the end of our stay we could not move this door.
If you had children you could not stay there because of the danger to stop any children going onto the lanai without supervision also anyone who is not strong would not have been able to move the door.
We spoke to management at the complex who were well
aware of the problem we encountered.
The owners had placed a blue sponge over the top mattress which was most uncomfortable and hot also the linen did not fit the bed properly we were paying customers and should have been treated accordingly. There were not enough wine glasses or flutes always appears to be one missing.
The bathroom was wonderful. The grounds were beautifully maintained."

"Relaxation in Paradise
Casa de Emdeko 237 is a lovely condo complete with everything needed for a wonderful vacation! The property is well taken care of and the owners are well loved in their community as several folks stopped to help us with the grill or offer comments on this great condo. We did see much of the island and had lots of adventures, but it was always nice to know we had this great place to come back to. Breakfast and dinner on the patio to the sound of the waves and lots of puzzles from the shared library downstairs made this even more special. My daughter and I highly recommend this condo! "Fantastic Hawaiian getaway!
The Casa De Emdeko really feels like a Big Island resort should. Beautiful mature gardens, great saltwater pool and the most awesome oceanside sunsets you will ever experience! Unit 237 captures the feel of Hawaii as well, it is a beautiful remodel and decorated perfectly. We relaxed in comfort and will be back as soon as we can!"

"Great stay
The condo was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. We enjoyed breakfast on the deck listening to the surf, and the pool and beach chairs near the water. Knutson and Associates were very helpful meeting us at check-in and offering tips on restaurants in the area."

the unit in itself was nice but there was no water in the 1/2 bath sink .the volume on the TV was locked and hard to hear for us at the set volume. the facility on the other hand ..
we rented a 2nd floor unit because there is a elevator. however there are stairs in the corridor every 2 units .. 4 steps 1 set had no handrail. we are not handicapped but we do have a disability that stairs are a issue. there is no statements on this site that these stairs are present . and posed some issues for us . Also parking is a real issue we were never in 10 days able to park any closer than 1 block from the unit outside the secure fence of the facility. Again a issue because of our disabillity . when we arrived the person sent to show us around did not stay any longer than to open the door . did not show us around the unit at all and seemed to be in a hurry to be somewhere else. very unprofessional
Oceanview is blocked by trees."

The unit was wonderful. Lia was there to great us with a gift basket. Thank you. The kitchen had brand new appliances with an extra large refrigerator with a water filter and an ice dispenser. For our leftovers we had snapware containers (the best). Downstairs in the gazebo, coffee was available every morning."

"Over the Top!
We stay for 10 days at Casa de Emdeko #237. The owners went above and beyond in the renovation of their rental! The washer/dryer was a God-send. The fruit basket from K&A was unexpected. We enjoyed having a small, manicured beach area, just for our condo complex. We will rent again. A small water leak in the powder room dampened our giving 5 stars."

"Great facility
Everything was alright! A part from the tree that was hidding the ocean from the balcony. We felt unlucky compared to our opposite side neighbors who had full view.
Second, we didn't enjoy the sea water swimingpool which was closed until our last day of vacation. I choose that facility because of my wife who is afraid of the ocean, I wanted her to swim in the sea water pool to initiate facing her fear of water.
The facility was clean, everything working, We will be back, but preferably when that tree gets trimmed a little bit.

"Rating of Casa Dr Emdeko #237
The place is lovely but once we committed to the rental and paid the fee, the paperwork started coming. We have never had to sign so much paperwork on a vacation rental. It was also repeatedly impressed on us how much the furnishings cost - thousands of dollars - and if anything was damaged it would be our responsibility to replace it even though part of our fee for the rental was an insurance policy. Lovely place but would not rent it again."
