"Chateaux 503
Location was great. Of the three times staying in Indian Shores, this was the nicest. Only improvement would be the shower head. There was an issue with the AC drain line and it was fixed in an hour. Very responsive."

We have been staying at the Chateaux off and on for over 40 years. The property is always well maintained. I would recommend that the owner of unit 503 update furniture on the balcony. The chairs were worn, cushions were worn and dirty. Way to many chairs for a small space. Took away from the beautiful sunsets. "

"Good Couple's Get-Away
The unit's best feature is its balcony - a full waterfront view. The outdoor furniture needs to be replaced (cushions were worn out and table rusted), but the view couldn't have been better. Linens and towels were in good shape with plenty of extra towels provided. Living room is spacious with a decent TV and strong internet connection. The unit was clean and stocked with plenty of dishes and cookware. No washer/dryer in the unit. Access to the beach was just steps away from the elevator. Good rental for a couple. Sleeps 2."

"Love the location and the condo itself was perfect for our family
We've been to Indian Shores at least 10 times before, but we always stayed across the street on the inter-coastal water-way. This was the first time we stayed right on the beach and it was absolutely fabulous. we'll never go back to the other side of Gulf Blvd. The balcony view overlooking the beach, the Gulf, and the pool was amazing, and walking right out into the beach was perfect. The condo unit itself was nicely furnished, comfortable, and stocked with all the kitchen supplies that we needed. It's centrally located for short trips to Tampa, St Pete, and Clearwater. We plan to return next year and for years to come."

Owners should supply chairs and tents for renters. We had to fly so could not bring them from home. Chairs and tent that were left from previous renters were rusty and broken. We had to go out and buy everything for 4 people. Too much of an expense for us. For the price of the condos here, they should have them to use. Everything else was perfect"

"Another stellar vacation
another fantastic Florida vacation is over and the Chateau and unit 503 has not disappointed. The property is immaculate and location perfect. We have stayed here 5/6 of or last vacations and the only reason we missed a year is because we brought our adult children with us and needed more room. Unit 503 is by far our favourite and this was our second year there. Everything you need is in the unit, the furniture is extremely comfortable and the rental company very good to deal with. The only negative is the mattress. We both found it uncomfortable. We would recommend this property without hesitation. Thanks,"

"Great Location and Excellent Service
We had a fantastic stay. The unit was very clean, the air conditioner worked well, and the panoramic view of the Gulf was superb. The linens were in nice shape as well. There was a surprise Murphy bed and additional toilet in the unit. The location is fantastic as well with easy access to quite a few attractions. The best part was management right down the street and very friendly and personal service. We will be back!"

"70 Stairs!!!!
First of all, the owner of the condo went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of. He met us on check-in to show us the condo and explain how everything worked and also called during our stay to make sure everything was alright. The condo itself was terrific - great view, comfortable bed, nice TV's, etc. The problem was with Florida Lifestyles. This was our fourth consecutive year to stay at the Chateau. Our condo was on the fifth floor and the elevator was broken ten of the fourteen days we were there. There were 70 stairs for each trip we wanted to go either from bottom to top or top to bottom. We probably averaged five to six round trips a day. Seventy steps each way can be really tough on someone almost 60 years old. When we inquired about the broken elevator on the tenth day we were told by Florida Lifestyles someone from maintenance would call us the next day to explain what was going on and when it would be fixed. We never received a call with the explanation. Florida Lifestyles did have someone transport our luggage down on the last day but that was the only help they offered. We were told when we checked out we could e-mail the receptionist's boss to file a complaint. We are from Vegas and inconvenience means compensation. "

My only "suggestion" for improvement would be that the owner invest in some new drinking glasses (and maybe some extra silverware) - there just were too few. Other than this, the condo is just great.... view is amazing!"

"Our Wonderful stay at Chateaux 503
This was a family trip back to Florida after a long time and Chateaux 503 did not disappoint. This unit and property are conveniently located and easy to find. It was clean well maintained and even had some nice upgrades like the bathroom reno. We found the place spacious and comfortable and what a view!!! The beach was awesome! We stayed during July 4th festivities fantastic fireworks show right on our beach. The kids had a blast. We would recommend this property highly and looking forward to coming back soon. "Great view, great location
The condo was located beautifully right at the beach with an amazing view of the ocean and sunsets. The pool is heated and located at the side of the condo with the view of the ocean as well. Our stay was generally good. Other vacationers are very nice and chatty. The condo is clean with some wear the tear on the walls, can possibly use some painting on the walls. The wifi will will be good for web surfing only but will not work for youtube videos or netflix, that could have been better. The pull out bed in the living room area is comfortable. There are plenty of novels to read and a few dvd to watch. Tv in living room is a good size. Bedroom is clean with plenty pillows provided with a small tv provided. Our stay was overall good. No grill in the premises. No smoking which is good. Plenty of white towels are provided. We had some difficulty in communication during reservation process but was reaolved after few emails and phonecalls. "

" Chateaux winter 2016
Love the Chateaux condo #503! Our owners are awesome.Very upsetting that two of the dryers were not working took management almost a month to repair! I think a bigger nicer laundry room needed. Seeing more and more dogs on the beach and know one of the renters snuck a dog in! Very upsetting! The elevator quit working four times and this caused a lot of inconvenience. Do wish we had community grills in the commons area. John the maintenance man does a great job keeping the Chateaux clean.We love the Condo #503 and owners are very approachable.I do think a safety lock on inside of door would be beneficial.Thank you Steve and Tonya for keeping condo so nice."

Much needed escape from Pressures/Responsibilities at work. I was able to return to work relaxed and rejuvenated.
I have vacationed at the Chateaux for many years now, staying in several different units. Unit 503 is tastefully decorated. our only complaints were the patio door is very hard to slide open and closed, I was afraid the handle was going to bust the way it would bend as I push and pulled open and closed. There is also no screen on the patio door if you wanted to leave the sliding door open for fresh breezes without birds and bugs flying in.
The other complaint was there is a 1/2 bath taking up 1/2 of the closet space in this unit which is nice, but the 1/2 that was for hanging clothes was so stuffed with water heater, blankets, ocean toys, umbrellas, chairs, tent, Etcetera ... we could not use the closet to hang our clothes.
Other than those 2 issues, we had a wonderful time and will definitely recommend the Chatteaux as a home away from home. "

"Great place for peaceful vacation.
That was our second stay at this place and it was great again.
Condo is perfectly located, literally on the beach, close to restaurants, shops or mini golf course.
It is ideally small (1 bedroom) - perfectly comfortable for the couple and sufficient for smaller family with max. 2 kids (thanx to additional Murphy bed in living room).
It is well equipped with everything that you would need during holidays (starting from kitchen utensils, sheets and towels, through books or DVDs to beach toys, chairs, umbrellas or a beach tent).
Apart from few dust bunnies on our arrival and quite slow internet (at least in comparison to our European standards - 1 Mbps there vs. 75 Mbps at home), everything else was really OK.
I honestly recommend it to anybody."

"Wonderful Vacation
I'm normally not one for reviews but I will make an exception for this vacation. I will start with we got a great price on a lovely unit that overlooked the ocean. From start to finish everything was simple and easy, no issues whatever. The unit is located in a fantastic area that is not crowded and very family oriented. The balcony made the stay, we ate every meal that we were at the unit on the balcony. The unit had two TVs but I'm not sure if they work because they were never turned on. With such a beautiful view who would turn a tv on? Also, their is a nice pool but like with the TVs we never used it. With the beautiful ocean in front of us we never had any desire to use the pool. It was the best, most relaxing vacation my wife and I ever took. Their are things in the area to do but we just wanted to enjoy relaxing, watching the surf, taking walks and enjoy the moment. It's the type of place you can leave your stuff on the beach, leave for lunch and return with no worries. I would highly recommend this unit and this area for a couples get away. We were saddened to have to leave. Thanks to owners and staff for an wonderful vacation my wife and I really needed this !!"

"Gulf Florida Vacation 2014

The condo was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed staying there and felt "at home." There were just a few things that were lacking - no beach towels, had to buy toilet paper and paper towels and soap for the kitchen. Other than that, it was perfect. Great view of the beach & sunsets!"

"A relaxing vacation
If you are looking for a laid back vacation, away from all of the fast paced tourist and run down t-shirt shops, this is the place! Indian shores is a very clean, friendly, beautiful place to enjoy some white sand and clear water. Or if you're in the mood, a great dinner at a very reasonable price. But if you feel like going to a ball game or visiting st Pete or Clearwater, both are within driving distance.
We loved staying at The Chateaux, room 503! It had more than enough space for me and my wife and was recently nicely remodeled. My only small complaint with this room, was the bed. It was pretty wobbly and squeaked if we barely moved. This condo came with everything you need and more. There is everything that you have in your kitchen at home, and even a bottle of wine in the fridge when you first arrive. The balcony views over the gulf were breathtaking, especially at sunset! Also 4 out of the 8 days we were there we saw dolphins swimming by close to the beach.
All in all this was a perfect vacation and I would highly recommend vacationing here! We hope to return in the near future!"

"December vacation
We stayed at this delightful condo for one week over the New Year holiday season. Its location, overlooking the sea is wonderful. All the amenities were clean/new and it was wonderful to be able to cook and eat with this lovely view in the background. Sadly though the dolphins were a bit shy on our visit. Overall a very pleasant stay and I would recommend this condo. You do however need a car but that goes for most places in the US. One thing that could have been better and that is the bed was so soft and felt like a water bed. Not a major problem though."

We had an amazing stay at the Chateaux unit 503. The unit was modern and updated with all the amenities of home. We were minutes away from shops and grocery stores. "Great unit, you'll get your moneysworth, location great unit nice
Great place - we would rent again. Location and beach access excellent. A few minor things as there is always room to improve - but these are MINOR. Fold out bed needed a new mattress, it was really pretty bad even for kids. Bring a blow-up to lay over top of it. Screen door handle got stuck and we couldn't get in one day when we where there, but maintenance was there to fix it within an hour. Good thing we had our cell phone and it was not in the unit! Landline number hard to determine - should be clearer/posted. Check-in office at the property management company only open until 5 on Saturday? They really should extend these hours on check in day. Mini washer/dryer combo in unit would have made a big difference if it could be installed and a great investment. Nobody wants to sweat in a hot laundry room on vacation. All that said we might rent again if it works for us. Communication with the owner was excellent and price was reasonable. Property management company very responsive and friendly if you have to call them. Overall feel like we got what we paid for, and think you will too. "
