For Daily Rentals, the balance payment is due 45 days prior to Check-In. For Monthly Rentals, the balance payment is due 60 days prior to Check-In. This balance payment will be automatically charged according to this schedule to the credit card placed on file at the time of booking, unless other arrangements have been approved by CCR prior to the balance due date.

For Daily Rental reservations made within 45 days of Check-In, and Monthly Rental reservations made within 60 days of Check-In, payment in full is required at the time of booking, and the Cancellation Policy, as stated below, will apply.

CHANGING RESERVATION DATES: If you need to change reservation dates, we will do our best to help make the requested change, subject to prior reservations. Date changes are not possible after the balance payment is due, other than extensions to the existing reservation dates. Any "date change" requested after the balance payment is due shall be considered a Cancellation of the original stay dates.

CANCELLATIONS: A cancellation becomes effective from the date that it is received in writing, by e-mail or fax.

For Daily Rental reservations cancelled more than 45 days prior to Check-In, and Monthly Rental reservations cancelled more than 60 days prior to Check-In, there is a $100.00 USD Cancellation Fee. Your Down Payment will be refunded less this fee.

For Daily Rental reservations cancelled within 45 days of Check-In, and Monthly Rental reservations cancelled within 60 days of Check-In, there will be no refund unless we are able to re-rent the property for some or all of the time you committed to and refunds may be less than the actual revenue paid. "Great vacation spot!

Re: Waikiki Sunset 24th floor, we found the location to be perfect. Close to the zoo, Starbucks, restaurants and the beach. The beach on this end has a wonderful barrier that keeps the big waves and crabs (& other sea life) just beyond your floating paradise. Everyone on floaties and so peaceful. The pool gets shady around noon and is very windy always. The wind on the 2 blocks around the front entrance of Waikiki Sunset is a constant wind tunnel (very very strong.) After 2 blocks it gets sunnier and hotter the closer you get to the beach! The suite was a 2 bedroom with pull out couch in the living room. Never have I ever had a pull out couch that was posturepedic with boards and thin mattress. So sagging mattress with springs in your back! The queen and twins were very good quality. No one had back aches. The starting supplies like dishwashing liquid, paper towel and coffee filters lasted the whole 10 days. We only had to buy 1 pack of tp (as there were 5 of us.) There were ample towels and beach towels, really nice Tommy Bahama beach chairs and a great little kitchen. We were fine without laundry and dishwasher but they gave us a jar of laundry pods for the coin laundry room which was just beside our suite. Very thoughtful! The tub was a combo short tub and shower and we thought it was great. The view of Diamond Head directly out the lanai was so beautiful and the partial view of the ocean was amazing. The Waikiki area has a lot of emergency vehicle sirens going all times of day and night. I presume some of it is to move along the homeless. The stay was fantastic and my Mom (85) kept saying how pleased she was with the accommodation she had paid for! Thanks to our lovely host Byron! We would highly recommend this AirBNB. Thanks!"

"Amazing Views, Comfortable Apartment
The photos undersell the view! Overall, the apartment is quite comfortable, clean, and equipped exactly as listed. Check-in was super easy. We had no problems during our stay. Parking in the garage is first-come, first-served, which can make coming and going a bit time consuming. The elevators can be similarly slow (although one was out our entire stay, it had been for more than a month). The only real complaints we had were almost no water flow out of the bathroom sink, and the tap water would taste a lot better with a water filter (bottled water is terrible for the environment!)."

"Perfect Location and Amenities
The unit is so spacious and met all of our needs ... from being located next to the laundry, to having an off street parking spot baked into the rental price. Cooking was easy for us, and the beds were extra comfortable. The view was amazing, and we became very comfortabl walking the short walk to the beach and the main strip. This unit is in the heart of everything, and yet it is quiet. Highly recommend this for someone that wants to be close to everything, but still feel as if they have their own private paradise. Last but not least, the pictures do not give this place justice - it is extremely clean."

"Good Location but Old
The picture is accurate--there is a slight view of Waikiki beach but windows mostly face east, which is great if you are an early morning person because the light floods the space beautifully. The building is part of a hotel--the floor this unit is on (24 of 30)is old--carpeting and walls are stained and dingy. The laundry room is right next door--also one of those pros/cons since you hear the door slamming when anyone goes in or out but you are right next door (you pay by a phone app). The unit was very clean, kitchen was well supplied, and Byron was helpful and responsive to texted questions. Only two elevators are working, and you better be standing by the door of the one that opens because you have precious little time to get to the working one at the other end of the bank of elevators. When we were there, the smart door lock wasn't functioning so you needed to have the key with you at all times, and the heavy (safe) door itself had no stop so slammed if you didn't watch carefully as you opened and closed--not so easy when your hands are full. Overall, I felt it was overpriced for what you have but I also recognize that this is Waikiki and property is expensive."

"Paying For The View
Before I start, I want to make clear that Captain Cook Rentals are great to work with; we have used them before and will use them again. We did not complain to them during our stay as there was nothing they could have done to make our stay better.

We were disappointed in this property. The views are AMAZING, and this is what you are paying for. It is a corner unit, so you have several different views from the many windows. But you are also next to the laundry room, so it gets noisy as people go in and out.

The apt is small. We are a family of four adults; six people would never be comfortable. There is only comfortable seating for four. The dining chairs are fine for eating, but not relaxing. The beds and bedrooms were tiny; I ended up measuring the beds as I could not believe they were truly the size advertised (they were.) The bathroom has the smallest shower/tub combo I've ever seen. Water pressure is good and we never ran out of hot water. The "washlet" toilet is huge compared to the space, making it a bit uncomfortable to use. It also made a recirculating noise for 10 seconds every 30 min all day and night. The bathroom had a sour smell which we finally figured out was the shower curtain. The apt was clean, but could use some more basic supplies, such as measuring cups/spoons and a coffee scoop. The building itself is pretty run down; elevators were slow and went out several times and the fire alarm went off twice and we had to evacuate only to find out they were (luckily!) false alarms. They were doing work in the building, turning off all power including ac on different floors each day. Thankfully our floor was slated for the week after, but there was noise from that much of the day.

The location is good; several years ago we stayed across the street in the Waikiki Banyon, so knew the area is fine for being able to walk a few blocks to beach, stores, and the many yummy restaurants on Kuhio St, as well as ease of g"

"Great stay
We just stayed for 6 nights in unit 2413. The unit was clean, had beautiful views and had everything we needed for our trip. Sitting on the lanai for breakfast or a nighttime drink was just gorgeous. The kitchen has the basics - plates, cups, cookware etc and we were left with plenty of trashcan liners and TP. The beach chairs/towels, free parking and WiFi were a plus. Bring (or buy) extra soap/shampoo etc and paper towels if you stay more than a day or so. Overall, the on-site staff were good, the store has necessities and the walk to the beach takes just a few minutes. The building and condo is definitely older and it shows, but still feels clean and neatly decorated. The ‘master’ bedroom is on the smaller side but definitely doable although the bed was not comfortable for US at all (beds are subjective - others may love it). Check in/check out was super easy! One word of caution for light sleepers - we did not hear any noise at all from neighbors, barely any noticeable traffic or street noise unless we listened for it but those roosters were crazy loud each morning and woke us as the sun came up each morning around 5:45 (keep in mind though, the roosters are eeeeverywhere, so this will likely be true wherever you stay) If you plan on using the laundry, be sure to have plenty of quarters ($1.75 each cycle) There is an app but the minimum balance is $10 - I didn’t have quarters and then had an issue with a dryer not syncing to the app. We would definitely recommend this place for couples and smaller families. "
