"Our best experience renting on HHI
Wouldn't hesitate to book this house again. The management company was outstanding. The layout makes it ideal if you're sharing the house with another family or have parents/grandparents staying with you - two bedrooms on one side and the primary on the other. Plenty of space if you're the type that needs a little space sometimes. Location of the house is great. There's a walking/bike path one driveway away from the house that connects you to any direction you'll want to go. Less than a five minute walk to the Plantation Golf Club clubhouse. It's almost in the middle of Salty Dog and the Beach Club from a direction standpoint. We biked to both multiple times and didn't hear a complaint from either one of our kids about the distance. House is at the end of a street so no car traffic. There's a Harris Teeter a few minutes away which is very convenient. Look at the dates of the other reviews because I think the rental company has made updates to the house based on what I read vs. how it is. No issues with the pool deck, it's all pavers and has plenty of seating. "

"Cunningham Family Thanksgiving 2024
Overall we had a really great family trip. The house was a great fit and very relaxing for everyone. Location was great, layout was perfect, amenities were great, and the house was very clean. Only complaint would be the outdoor grill on the patio wasn't in good enough shape to be able to use."

"Beautiful home and location
We loved staying at 25 red maple. The inside was beautifully renovated which made hanging out inside just as enjoyable as out by the pool. The kitchen was adequately stocked and had updated appliances. The location is perfect in heart of Sea Pines. The walking/bike path of Plantation Club golf courses was right at the end of the street. My only concern of the rental was the condition of the wood patio by the pool. It’s in desperate need of a complete repair, and with something that’s not wood. Multiple people of my group either got splinters, tripped, or had the wood crack/cave on them when walking. The planks are rotted and uneven which just is not safe around a pool. I hope the owner / property manager has this on their list of things to update because the rest of the house is perfect! We would love to return. "

"Another Great House/ Great Stay via Island Rentals
Wonderful house for two families who want a degree of privacy. Two bedrooms on one wing with a shared bath and then a large separation (living room/kitchen/den) between that side and primary bedroom wing.
The den off the primary is a great separate play area for kids or in my case was used as ahome office. Very easy to close off this room from the rest of the house for a quiet place to work.
Pool felt a good bitsmaller than pictured but was all we needed and watching the golfers come by in the backyard was fun. Yet we didn’t feel like they were right on top of us or that we were visible to them while sunbathing.
Only real complaint is it feels like this house could greatly benefit from two AC units or split thermostats. The primary wing runs a good 3-4 degrees warmer than the other bedrooms so we battled on the thermostat for 10 days. One side of house was freezing while other side was borderline warm. "

"Family trip
Great rental home. Perfect location and layout for a family to allow for both room and privacy. We found ourselves often playing games together due to to great layout and spaciousness of floor plan on red maple.
Even a space set up with a view of the golf course for those who can’t stop working!
Highly recommend Island rentals of Hilton Head for ease clarity and smooth vacationing."

"Excellent with some caveats
Overall, the experience was very good. We enjoyed the property, its location on HH, the pool, the spaciousness of the home and the grounds. However, we felt we could have been better prepared upon entering the property. We had to double-back at the entry, re-read the email from the rental agency, and finally drive to get our parking pass. "

"TLC Needed
The good things about this home are its location, its roominess, pool, and bikes. It is an older home and is need of maintenance and cleaning. There were cobwebs everywhere, dust on everything, baseboards haven't been cleaned in a really long time, no measuring cups, no pitcher, skillet is warped and spins on the eye, towels are scratchy and too small, decking boards are rotten in places, only one extra kitchen garbage bag provided, zero chlorine in pool upon arrival (which made it unusable until pool company arrived next day), outdoor furniture is old and dirty, fitted sheets don't stay smooth, thermostat will not go below 72. If it hadn't been for the small wall unit it would have been very uncomfortable. We experienced several live roaches and spiders.
At arrival the Island Rentals office is hard to find--there are no obvious numbers on the complex buildings. Prior to arrival I purchased an additional Sea Pines pass which was not included in our check-in packet.
If I owned this home I would hope that its maintenance and cleaning were being given a lot more attention."

"Great for Vacation home!
Our family had such a lovely time at this beautiful home in Sea Pines. The house has such a great layout , lots of natural light and all looking over the pool and beautiful golf course. The location was perfect for biking or walking to all Sea Pines has to offer. It was very hard to leave and we definitely look forward to coming back!!"

"Nice Roomy Home in Quiet Area
We enjoyed 25 Red Maple based upon layout, furnishings & location. About a mile walk to Beach Club, great for dog walk to the beach. Home has a unique layout with master bedroom & bath along with game room in one wing and other two bedrooms & shared bath in opposite wing. Large open living room, large powder room, dining area and kitchen in middle. There are sleeper couches in both the game room & the living room. Comfortable furniture. Fun to watch the golfers since their second shots are often right by the house. Found a golf ball in the pool one day. Nice for the dog with fenced in pool area. Deck needs refinished though but overall, nice comfortable home for large family or two families with 1 -2 children."

"Sea Pines Hideaway
Very nice home on a quiet cul-de-sac street. The home was very expansive and quiet inside and out. The multiple windows and patio doors, as well as the shower with a window in the ceiling, gave you the feeling of relaxation and serenity. Nice size pool and plenty of seating around the pool and inside the house. There are a few repairs that need attention like the wobbling pool railing on the steps into the pool and the pool gate is falling off the hinges. Inside the home, the furniture is very comfortable but there are some stains but expected some because it’s a rental. Updating the stickers on the multiple light switches would be beneficial to better see what switch controls which light. Bedrooms and bathrooms were very nice and large. I liked the flooring, especially because the home was pet friendly, but walking down the stairs in the main living area was sometimes misleading as to when the steps ended. We missed the bottom step a few times unable to see where steps ended. Appliances were very nice! Amenities were also plentiful and appreciated. Overall, I would love to return and rent this home again for even a greater length of stay. The checkin information was spot on and the entire process was simple. This home is in a great location near everything in Sea Pines!!"

"Quiet Sea Pines Spacious Home
We enjoyed our stay at 25 Red Maple, but there are definite Pros and Cons to this property. In general, it is large, but older home without a lot of personality for the price. Pros: 1) Quiet culdesac 2) Very short bike ride to Beach Club/Ocean/Clubhouse 3) Loved that 4 bikes were included in rental 4) Home is very spacious with plenty of space for a family to spread out 5) Pet friendly 6) Very nice washer/dryer 7) Comfortable beds 8) Plenty of kitchen cookware/dishes if you plan on eating in
Cons: 1) Indoor and outdoor furniture and general condition of home is showing plenty of signs of wear and tear. For the price, I expected a little bit more upkeep (e.g., cushions have stains or are faded, cabinet doors are crooked on hinges in kitchen, sliding doors are hard to open, pool toys/family games need upgraded/replaced) 2) It took days for the musty, slightly moldy smell and pet smell to dissipate from the air in the home 3) Trees surrounding pool drop pollen and debris into the water regularly
4) 1 of the bikes was hard to ride as chain was very rusty (general upkeep again) 5) Some of the deck slats around the pool were broken (again, everything had a tired and well used appearance)"

"Christmas 2020
Wonderful House....There was 5 of us who stayed a week....The layout of the home was perfect.....Close to everything the HH has to offer.....Home came with 5 bikes....We needed one more - you get a 15% discount if you need additional bikes...House is directly on golf course.....Sea Pines Beach Club was very nice....We will be back next year without masks! HNY!"

We had a great time. The location of house and inside of house was great. Outside pool area really worn down. Fence missing spindles and rotten in places. Outside furniture in bad shape also. Sliding doors off track and very difficult to open. Rental company easy to work with. "

"Golf course
Loved the location and the house. We are a family of six and were very comfortable. Having bikes on site was a huge hit! The pool area was so relaxing. The "study" areas in the house (or the separation) was great for us because all of our four children were zooming classes (college and high school) during our stay and they all had a place to sit and do their work without interruption from others.
Wifi was weak in the bedrooms which was unfortunate. The mattresses could stand to be replaced.
Overall a great stay and we would definitely consider coming back to this beautiful home! And, thank you for making this a pet friendly home - our Boston loved it too!"

It was a wonderful week. We loved the house, except for a few exceptions. Dryer did not work well. Rugs and furniture were old. Had not cleaned under the furniture. House layout and location were wonderful. The pool was wonderful! "

"Pet friendly retreat in great location
We loved our stay in Hilton Head and plan to return. The management company did a great job. Pet friendly properties tend to be a bit run down and this was no exception. Needs some TLC. But that didn’t prevent us from having a great stay. The property is roomy, comfortable and well equiped. The lavk of screens on the windows was a problem. "

"Spacious living
This home is located close to the beach and in a very bike friendly neighbourhood. It comes with bikes and one hour of tennis a day and sits on one of the many beautiful golf courses on the island. The house has lots of space to eat and lounge and the master suite is separated from the rest of the living space. The pool and outdoor space was very inviting."

We were set to check in the same day Hurricane Florence was set to hit the US. We ended up heading down, and had the best weather all week. The island was understandably not fully up and running the first few days, but got back to normal by Monday. Overall, this house is perfect for a family, but I would recommend that finer details be handled. A deep clean is needed on bathroom venting fans, ceiling fans, and the shower ceiling is starting to peel and mold in the master bath. The pool ladder was broken. Paint touch ups and other damage should be corrected. also be addressed. "

The house is in the perfect location, amidst all the amenities of Sea Pines. Close to the best restaurants and cooking classes! The house was immaculate. We were so pleased that the pool was clean and kept clean! Just had to call the customer service because there was no gas in the grill. Suggest the maintenance staff keep an extra propane tank in the garage storage. Would also suggest a little bigger fan in the master bedroom as that is the hottest end of the house. The master bed is a little too tall, I'm 5'8" and had trouble even sitting on it. Otherwise, this was a little piece of paradise. We would do it again! Thank you for sharing such a lovely home and convenient environment."

"Our Favorite Hilton Head Rental Home
We rented this home for a family vacation with my family (2 adults + 2 kids) as well as my parents. The layout of this home was perfect for us! Two bedrooms with the jack-n-jill bath on one side of the home and the master suite on the other side which gave my parents peace and quiet from our kids at night. The pool was the perfect size for our group and was definitely enjoyed. We did not have luck with the weather so having a spacious home with plenty of comfortable seating, places to play games and a great kitchen was wonderful. We've been coming to Hilton Head for 10+ years and have always stayed closer to the beach thinking that was more convenient, but the bikes (and the addition of a beach cart on one of our bikes) made this home the best we've ever had. We loved the location, size, simple decor and pool. Overall, we have found this home to be the best value for our money during the peak summer season and would definitely stay here again. If you have small children, you can call the bike rental company and add children's bike accessories to the bikes already at the home, as well as a beach cart which makes getting to and from the beach super easy. We loved that it was easy to bike to the beach, Harbor Town and Lawton Stables. Thanks for a wonderful week!"
