"Nicely updated villa but the musty odor needs to be addressed
For the most part the updated villa is better than many tired 30 or 40 year old HHI villas. The dishwasher, however, appears to be original to the unit and is very loud. It stands outlike a sore thumb in the renovated kitchen.
Our primary complaint is the musty odor in the unit, likely from being unoccupied for long periods with no AC running. The smell was so strong that every item of clothing we brought had to be washed when we returned home and our suitcases had to be aired out. "

"A bit disappointed
We still made great memories, but the rental experience was disappointing. The only item that we felt was clean were the beds and linens. The floors were disgusting! Bathrooms were not only dated, but nasty. When we arrived at 4:17pm the maid was still cleaning the villa. I’m pretty sure she just stopped"

"Great location but needs some love....
We had a wonderful stay at this condo, but it most definitely needs some love. A new coat of paint, new furniture, a rug that you won't trip over. The condo is spacious but was not clean when we arrived. I sent an email to Island Rentals and they had the cleaning crew arrive Monday morning to spiffy it up. The best part about this condo is the proximity to Harbour Town and the Trolly stop is literally next door! "

"Clean, Great Beds and Setup and Close to Harbourtown!
This unit was perfect, very clean, great beds, perfect location for our tennis trip and right near Harbourtown and shops! We loved using the beach bikes provided with this unit also to get around easily but also plenty of parking for our cars. "

"Great home for vacation with a toddler
This lovely home had everything we needed for a short vacation with two adults, a 2 year old, and our dog. The only thing we had to worry about is quick baby-proofing: removing knives and such from drawers, popping plugs into outlets, and moving three breakables up to a higher shelf. Huge table allowed us to have big meals with the family in town. All 3 bedrooms were big enough for a pack&play and then some. Plenty of lights, lots of natural light. All the appliances worked great. Wifi was excellent. Will definitely stay here again next time we visit HHI!"

"Wonderful villa in great location
This rental was perfect for our family's stay this week along with our two dogs. The villa was spotless and offered everything we'd need - a cute pool to cool off in right behind the backyard, tennis courts for sport, and bikes for the family to travel around the island with. The location is fantastic as well - only a 5 minute walk to the beautiful lighthouse and Harbour Town area!"

"Great location and perfect for families
This was a great set up for a two-family or multigenerational trip as was out case. The kids loved the bunk room and we loved having double master bedrooms. The home was well- appointed (plenty of towels dishes)... we really only missed or needed potholders. We enjoyed having beach chairs, bikes, sand toys, and board games. Minor wear and tear in the property was expected and overall the place was beautiful."

"Great Stay in Sea Pines
We had a wonderful week of remote school at this condo. The kids loved the short walk across the parking lot to the tennis courts and large community pool. It was in a convenient location with a trolley stop right outside, and we loved that it had three bedrooms."

"Hilton Head
Location was great. Rental unit was "tired" but fairly clean. Needs paint and freshening up. We had to call property management for an extension cord for the grill only to find out the grill wasn't even working. Which was reported by the previous tenant. We got a new grill in a couple of days but made it challenging to cook since we planned to use it quite a bit. "

"2311 Racquet Club Villa
This is a really great location. The trolley stop is right outside the front door. There are several alligators that frequent the pond so beware for small children & pets. FYI you can’t fish in the pond. If you are the sort that looks under the rim of sinks you might be disappointed. The cooking utensils & dinnerware were replaced at our request. The cookware still leaves a lot to be desired IF you eat in a lot you might want to bring a good frying pan. The whole place needs DEEP cleaning by someone other than the regular cleaning crew. The sliding doors need maintenance. The security safe has been torn off the wall & is locked. HVAC was quite adequate. Contrary to some earlier comments we found the furniture & beds to be better than average. Having bikes included was great although we did have to get them serviced which happened quickly & efficiently. The pool & tennis courts are above average. The Island Rentals management team was VERY responsive to any issues we had which quite frankly made the difference between an overall 3 or 4 rating. Be sure and call them direct to avoid the ridiculous HOME AWAY fee. You get nothing for paying that. We would stay there again."

"2311 Hilton Head Stay 8/3-8/10
Hilton head itself was amazing. The beach was lovely - although a 14 min drive away. The bikes and bike paths were great. The food and harborfown area was very nice to stroll through and enjoy.
The condo itself was spacious and nice aside from the theee giant cockroaches we found. I would suggest a thorough cleaning and exterminator.
I am giving a low rating mostly because of the bug issues. The beach and entertainment around is well worth the trip. I also am rating low because I emailed to complain about our inability to lock the back sliding door and I received no response at all! "

"Amazing Location!
This was our first stay at Racquet Club Villas. The location is perfect for our family. It is a 3 minute bike ride to Harbor Town (about a 7 minute walk) and a short ride to the Lawton Stables where my grandchildren love to go and pet the horses. It is only a little over a mile to bike to the beach as well. Another plus was there is a trolley stop right outside the door of the condo, which we rode each day to the beach. The condo was comfortable enough, but it did need some updating. The sofa was not too comfortable and the verticle blinds are a pain. The condo was clean when we arrived and the management company was very attentive when I called for anything. The 4 bikes being included in rental price was a plus. The beach chairs that were included were quite rusty and not in great shape though. We enjoyed dinner at the Crazy Crab in Harbor Town, Fishcamp on Broad Creek, and Hudson's. My granddaughter and I took a kayaking tour with Kayak Hilton Head and had a wonderful time and saw some dolphin on our tour. Overall it was a wonderful week on Hilton Head!"

"Our Yearly Trip to HHI
Overall we had a great time. Location to Trolley was great. As well as the website which told you where the trolley was and when it would arrive.
Our only complaint was the cleanliness of the condo upon arrival. Looks like cleaning crew left in a hurry. vacuum left in one of the rooms. Q-Tips seen in closets and under dresser in 2 rooms. living room floor was not swept Our 9 month old crawling around the first day turned her legs black. Furniture, beds, and the rest were great. I would stay here again but would remind rental co of the issues we had this year. "

"FAMILY VACATION
We were very shocked to find out the place was a lot smaller than we were told when we arrived. We ask to be moved to a different place and nothing was available that week. The kitchen is very small and the ceiling in the dining room were we had to eat was falling off over the table. The sliding glass doors also were broke and very hard to open. The maids had been short of help that day, we were told and the place was not very clean at all. very upset with our place "

The condo was ok. There was a water leak area in the dining room ceiling where the plaster had fallen off. We thought there were bikes to use but could not find them anywhere. More info should be given to finding them. There was a stain on the carpet in the bedroom. Could use a big bowl for salad or noodles none to be found. Car passes were supposed to come 2 weeks early and we got them two days before we left, could not get to other person."

"Comfortable and Clean!
Great Condo, nice view and patio. Clean. Beds were all nice. Carpets clean. Plenty of space and very easily accessible. Kitchen is small, but well equipped and dining table is HUGE. We sat 7 very comfortably. Looks exactly as pictured....minus the grill. "

"Just OK
Stayed here for 3 weeks in January to escape the Ohio winter. This was a perfect corner first floor unit where you could take your dog right out the back door. Walking distance to Harbour Town. Bikes and tennis courts available. I will begin by saying I am very, very picky but I thought the place could have been cleaner. I understand units in this area are old but the bathroom sink did not drain well, the ceiling showed signs of water damage in spots and the rugs were not clean. Furniture and beds look nice but not very comfortable. Here again, if I owned a rental unit, I would not put top notch furniture in it either. I would consider a deep dive cleaning as opposed to the service cleaning they get. So, not terrible but I can't give 5 stars."

"Fantastic Experience
The villa as is pictured; very charming, comfortable and clean. This was our first visit to Hilton Head and we felt so lucky to have selected this villa in the Sea Pines area of the island. A short walk to Harbor Town, and short bike ride or drive to the beach or Salty Dog. Download the Island Rentals App on your phone and you always have electronic key info. as well as the "Find my Rental" feature if you are on a bike ride and are not sure how to get back to the villa. Property has a lovely pool and tennis courts. We loved being located in Sea Pines as it is exclusive and quiet and then driving to the beach when that was our daily activity, although it is a short bike ride if you are not bringing a lot of supplies with you. I will definitely rent this villa again!"
