Really nice time staying at 26 Gunnery. The beds were soft, the kitchen was good sized and the location was great. We spent 3 weeks hosting friends and family and everyone had a great time! Would stay here again!"

Great location on a beautiful street. Nice spacious layout. Pretty lot on a lagoon with gators. The bikes are awesome. Decorated pretty. Only complaint is that there was a bit of an animal smell in the house (we didn’t bring an animal but the place allows them), but I bought a couple of cheap air fresheners and that did the trick. "

We enjoyed out stay on HHI at 26 Gunnery Lane within Sea Pines. We especially liked the 12 min walk to the beach and just being in Sea Pines with all the fun things to do. The home is well appointed and spacious. "

"A not so enjoyable rental
The house was clean,the interior comfortable, sufficient kitchen gadgets and dishes; my 1 month stay could have been enjoyable but living next to a construction site where hammering,drilling ,sawing started 9AM killed that expectation;the daily disturbance kept me from ever sitting on the deck. the only "walk"in shower which was in the loft reachable by a steep staircase reminded me of the telephone booth on subway platforms years ago ; they were larger than the shower at 26 Gunnery Lane ! Guests with dogs need to bring a flashlight when walking at night, street is pitch black ; I love Hilton Head and shall return, but I'll be more careful which agency to contact . I must commend Island Rentals maintenace person ; I had a problem with the TV and he came within 15 minutes. "

"July 15-22 2023
This house was perfect for my family! We had our two adult children join us with their significant others and everyone had their privacy- including their own bathrooms. A large living room gave us a lot of space to spread out for movie nights. The kitchen is also large and accommodating. The gem of the house though is the screened porch. From the early morning coffees watching sea birds to lazy afternoon’s watching alligators float by, the screened porch was everybody’s favorite. The beds/mattresses are so comfortable! And every room and the screened porch has a paddle fan- which was super important because we were there during the intense heat wave. The house is a 10 minute walk to the beach and comes with great beach chairs and 4 bikes. The 4 bikes, to my surprise, turned out to be integral to our stay. Everyone enjoyed them and used them off and on all day long. Just a couple of notes: pay good attention to the instructions on the refrigerator. They are chock full of important info- especially if you need extra bikes - use the one recommended on the fridge. They should add to instructions NOT to put garbage can out front for pick up. The only other thing I’d add is that turning on the paddle fan on the screen porch can be tricky- but don’t give up - it works! and is the difference between a useable/non useable porch. Overall I would recommend this house. It’s a bit dated, probably most evident in the bathrooms, but it was CLEAN and everything, including appliances, worked perfectly. We have zero complaints. As the person that chose this house, I was quite happy with it- especially in light of the intense heat, as it served as a comfortable respite and gathering place for my family. "

"House was dirty
When we arrived at the house we were disappointed with the cleanliness. Hair on pillows and in bed, dog hair all over house, the toilet seat dirty, and silverware not clean. We spent about an hour cleaning it ourself due to the loss of confidence in the cleaning staff. I understand this is a dog friendly house but at the same time the cleaning company needs to spend extra time doing a better job."

"Annual Hilton Head trip
We really enjoyed our stay. Great house and great location, super friendly neighbors. Our stay was a 5 but the cleaning was really bad. We found unwashed dishes and silverwear so we had to re-wash all dishes...Need a new trash company, the trash cans were full upon arrival and missed both pickup days during our stay. Other than that, the house is amazing. Thanks!"

"Wonderful stay!
As the title says, we had a wonderful stay! The house was spotless on arrival and was exactly as described. The bicycles were great...we biked all over Sea Pines the whole week. The only hiccup was that we had the wrong WiFi password, but the property manager came out the evening we arrived to fix the problem. We couldn’t have asked for a better response. "

Great location in Sea Pines. 3/4 mile walk to the beach on the bike trail, easy bike ride to Harbor Town.Love the 4 bikes provided. The property was clean upon arrival, and had plenty of room for 5 adults and 2 dogs. Kitchen had all of the dishes and cooking items needed for a week's stay. Everything in the house was in good working order. No issues. Easy drive to Coligny beach area for shopping.Property management company did a nice job with arrival instructions, payments, and the app. "

"Relaxing Getaway
We loved the quiet neighborhood and friendly neighbors. The home is very comfortable with ample space for several couples to stay together. The deck and screened in porch allowed us extra space to spread out and enjoy the beautiful scenery. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed for great family meals. The house was very clean and welcoming. The bikes and beach chairs were a great add on. We’d love to return to this home for another family stay. "

"Great vacation spot!
26 Gunnery Lane is a fantastic place to enjoy HHI. The location is great--at the end of a culdesac--and secluded enough to be quiet during the day and night. The kitchen is well stocked and the furnishings are nice. It could use a bit of updating (kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities), but everything is clean enough and in working condition. Lots of space to spread out and perfect for a family of three and two dogs."

"Spacious home in a great location
26 Gunnery Lane is in a nice location at the end of a quiet cul de sac. The bike path is literally 5 houses away, and its about a 4 minute ride to the beach. The screened in porch, with a new ceiling fan and table and chairs, was great for playing games and eating, with a view of the lagoon. The kitchen and laundry room are very spacious, allowing for meal prep and food storage. The upstairs "loft" and bedroom/bath was a perfect place for my teenage daughter and friend to have a hangout of their own. We did not use the back deck as summer mosquitos did not allow us to, plus we have a small dog and lagoon has alligators in it. One note to owner, please make outdoor faucet with hose more accessible by simply trimming the foliage in front of it a bit! Overall I highly recommend this home. Large, well laid out and comfortable for a family with kids who are old enough to ride bikes to beach independently. I suggest renting a "bike wagon hitch" to easily transport chairs and innertubes back and forth to the beach. The 4 chairs and bikes provided with the home are a BIG bonus!"

"Great place for a stay
We stayed here in early March, 2 couples and 1 more person plus our Golden Doodle. House is clean and spacious with plenty of room outside in a safe and quiet neighborhood. Great area and space for the dog although the gator in the lagoon meant Fido stayed close by... Bike path close by, house within short drive to beach, Harbortown, South Beach and golf courses (Could bike to beach too). Although it was a little cool (52-65) during the stay we still used the deck and there are nice sitting areas inside. If you have a pooch (or not) this is a nice property in good neighborhood. "

"Great Spacious House
Stayed here Month of March 2019. Lots of room and clean. Loved sitting on back deck, cooking out, and relaxing by backyard lagoon. Used the bicycles that were provided everyday . House is located in a central (but private) location so going to the beach, South Beach or Harbor Town was around the corner. Will rent again��"

"3rd time's the charm
This is the 3rd. time we have stayed here. Love the location, but the house is old and fridge is rusting out and dishwasher also needs replaced. The first thing needed though are new mattresses! totally worn out. We have stayed here for a month, 3 weeks, and 2 weeks. Great for a couple. Good to have 2 first floor bedrooms. ( especially since we could not sleep in the same bed because of sagging mattresses.!) Nice walk to the beach. Close to walking trails. Good bikes. well-equipped kitchen"

"Good for a family vacation
We had a great time staying in the house. Loved the location in relation to the beach. Quick 5-10 minute bike ride to the beach. We loved the ability to be able to come back from the beach and eat. We ate at the house a lot and it could use some updated kitchen pots and pans. Some of the pans are starting to peel which is not safe. Overall happy with the house and location. Enjoyed our week there. "

"Fabulous house in a perfect location!
Loved the house! The kitchen was spacious and easy to make meals in. We really enjoyed the back deck for the peaceful lagoon views and using the grill. It was a great layout all around . Having the beach chairs and bikes in the garage made trips to the beach enjoyable. It was one less thing to worry about. As well as being a great house it was also in a great location with easy access to South Beach and Harbour Town, both with a car or riding a bike. Will definitely rent again! "
