I wasn’t told that I could only purchase 1 parking pass when I booked.
Even though many signs for no smoking at the pool, a large group was smoking, called Island Rentals, said they could not help , gave me 2 other phone numbers to call, no answers.
Need to supply a map , property is huge."

Horrible. Water broke. Pots and pans and broiler pan put away greasy. Disgusting. Every loud noise in world. Blowers trimmers chippers beep beep construction Hitachi snorts. No communication whatsoever. Snobby at best. Lock box at office out dated and seems like an evil Joke. Bad vibes all around. Drunk looser MAGAt golfers. Less than friendly neighbors. Canceled. Left early. Went there escaping Milton madness in floridumb no regulation Maga. Can't stand east coast. Old white man head games. Redneck rich. Zero dignity. Exact problem with America now. #kamala #swiftiessavefloridum. Never ever again. Hilton Head is a redneck rich click. Ik. Ew.

"Wonderful accommodations for our family
We have stayed in Hilton Head many times, most of them in Shipyard. However, this was our first time in Evian and we found it to be a perfect location, centrally located between the beach and two entrances for quick access to both Pope and Wilton H Hilton Pkwy. The pullout in the second bedroom was perfect so our three teenage kids could have enough room, and all of the amenities were awesome. The unit was clean, well stocked, and reasonably updated.
We only observed a few very minor issues, and did not report them but want to include now as to let the management know. There is a slight smell in the unit, and we bought an air freshener to replace one that had run out. It couldn’t totally mask the odor but it wasn’t an issue for us. The Black and Decker blender should probably be tossed, it is missing a cap on the lid and only worked for a few seconds. Luckily there was a second one there. Also, the toaster is missing the crumb tray. Lastly, the screen from the master bedroom window blew out during a storm and landed on the awning.
We would definitely stay there again!"

"Know What You Are Getting
When we opened the door there was a stale smell that included cigarette smells. Opened windows and aired out. The older furniture has absorbed #@#% over time. The unit it dark, not like to pictures. The price was right though, much cheaper than renovated places. Loved the back covered patio, 10min walk to beach, and pool was great. Would recommend with caveats. "

"Amazing!!
We had the best time! Proximity to the beach was incredible. Gated community, feels very private. Clean and plenty of room. The deck outside is a great place to relax. Dog gate is a really nice touch. We were very comfortable and enjoyed our relaxing stay! "

"Disappointed with lack of cleanliness
Unfortunately the unit was not clean. There was dog hair everywhere on the floor as well as the furniture. There was fresh damage behind the chair in the master bedroom (drywall dust still on the floor) and the TV was broken (although still watchable). Management was called about these issues and said the cleaning company would be there in 30-45 minutes. After over 2 hours of waiting, we found a sweeper and cleaned the entire unit ourselves. Cleaning company never showed. We, however were very pleased with the location, the included 4 bikes as well as the included pool chairs. The decorating/furniture is dated but not a big deal."

"Rundown rental
The property was very dirty, especially the kitchen and cooking supplies. The rental had a musty smell that was pretty strong. The back porch was very dirty and it was obvious that the outdoor furniture hadn't been really cleaned this year. In addition, the pictures of the rental and beach are very misleading. It is worn and not anywhere near the beach."

"Beautiful Condo
We loved the condo! The decor was very nice. Plenty of space. Liked having a patio out back. Our fur baby enjoyed her stay too. It was nice to have bikes already there for us. Beach chairs were available as well. Definitely would stay here again. The only negative thing was a musty smell when we first arrived but it did get better. "

"Quick Last Minute get away
Overall, the house was the perfect fit, was well priced and had all the amenities we needed!
One piece of feedback, the shower in the master needs a curtain otherwise water goes all over the floor, even when pointing the shower head away from the opening! "

"Great 2 weeks away!
Great stay as usual at HHI. This was our first time staying in Evian, we normally stay at Brigantine. The condo was clean, previous guests commented about smells. There is a slight smell due to pets but nothing overwhelming and you don’t notice after a day. My husband has asthma so the slightest allergens set him off and even he was fine. It was well equipped with everything we needed for a 2 week stay. There were bad storms which took out the internet (remote worker here so that was important) and the manager was quick to help resolve issues. Having bikes and chairs provided was also wonderful. So happy to bring our furry family member and will stay here again!"

"Nice location
Nice location - 5 minute bike ride to ocean. Pool very nice and walking distance. Only cons - downstairs is dark and was a musty smell when we arrived. "

"Bad hair week
The condo is in overall good shape, however, there are a few key things that require attention. There is very little silverware and the pots need to be replaced. There is no hairdryer, no batteries in the flashlights, and the dishwasher is not anchored; so it falls out when loading the bottom rack. The bicycle tires have dry rot so aren’t safe to ride."

"Wonderful stay
This unit is on the closest end of Evian to the beach access. We were able to ride our bikes to the beach or take our car and unload. Walking would probably be a bit tough, especially with kids. Our kids are teens, so they were able to get themselves to the beach. Coligny is a bike ride away, also. My husband & I went to Coligny every morn & had coffee & walked the beach there. After seeing the condition of Coligny in the morning, I was happy to be able to go the Shipyard’s ‘private’ beach.
The condo itself was nice. It has a too many chotchkes and should be pared down. The floor was a bit dirty when we arrived, but there is a vacuum to get the sand up.
The rental company was on it. I called about a bike being damaged when we got there & they had all 4 of the bikes replaced by noon that same day.
All in all, I would stay again & use this rental company again. "

"Decent
The beginning of the trip got off to a rocky start. The condo looked as if it had not been touched after the previous renters left. The floors and showers still had sand all over them and the back deck was so cluttered with leaves and trash that you could hardly enjoy it. The management team was quick to get someone out to take care of the cleanliness of the property but should still never occur. The condo itself is great for a family vacation but the owner should really evaluate the current cleaning service selection."

"Familt get together
It was very clean and comfortable. IT was very well stocked with everything we needed for our stay. Location was right on the golf course but you did have a walk to get to the beach. Bicycles were where they were easy accessed and we had a lot of fun riding the community and getting lost. "

"Okay for the Price
The Evian community is beautiful and very well maintained. Community pool and pond area is lovely. Access to the beach was easy. Our specific unit 225 was fine but not great. Upon arriving the grill was disgusting - looked like hadn’t been cleaned in years. The mgmt company came out and repaired it and ordered new parts. The bikes were in decent shape. After a few days I did notice a smoke smell but the cleaners masked the scent with air fresheners. Kitchen was adequately stocked. "

Great rental! Pool, tennis counts, biking trails, close to beach, DOG FRIENDLY, etc. Backyard overlooks the golf course. Perfect place for a change of scenery."

"Evian stay
We have been to Evian for multiple stays. This unit was fine but cooking utensils were the issue I had with this unit.
The pots and pans were absolutely disgusting..
They are teflon coated,probably when they 1st came out and had so many chips in the finish. I was hesitant to even use them. An example of the condition- my husband left a pot overnight with water in it, in the morning the pot was rusty!!!!
I realize that this is a rental unit but this unacceptable. I own a rental house and would not accept this in my own house. "

"Nice town house
very nice house and very clean. Quiet neighborhood with lots to do. I would stay here again. The only thing was the light switches were weird. Some didn't do anything and the bed in the second bedroom was a little uncomfortable"

"Peaceful location
Location was perfect and quiet. Unit itself was average but with a wonderfully updated master bath with walk-in shower. Unit was clean but dishes in cabinets were sticky and had left over food in pots. Once we washed all dishes upon arrival felt a little better. Was a disappointment to start your week off having to load dishwasher several times to clean everything. "

"Great townhouse!
This is our second time staying in this condo. We love it here. Plenty of room, very clean, fully stocked kitchen, and bikes included was a plus. However, the bikes need some maintenance. But, overall a great experience. We intend on renting this condo again in the future. "

Did not start well as condo was not ready at 4:00pm as promised.Housekeepers were 50 minutes late getting it ready to get in.Reported ice maker broken and no one ever came to fix it.I would recommend if all info was true."

"225 Evian
We had a great week and enjoyed the town house. It was very quite....nice not to have renters above you as with some of the other Evian units. Nice patio in the back with a quality Weber grill.....Nice views of the golf course.
Beds were comfortable and great for 2 couples since each bedroom had a private full bath. One of the closest units in Evian to the beach.Bikes were a big plus, we enjoyed the bike trails. Beach chairs were new and good quality too.

"2019 family vacation With this villa��
From minute you walk in you are overwhelmed by the cigarette smell( non smoking villa????) very disappointed. Booking through VBRO and you have to pay a cleaning fee and a fee but the place Is NOT clean! For the price one should have to do nothing but enjoy their vacation,not clean it first. The front glass door, floors,sheets,furniture,kitchen appliances everything was dirty. The sink was stopped up in master bath, air conditioner vent in 2nd bathroom leaked from ceiling, glass door wouldn't lock on front door.Was very dissatisfied this year with this villa."

"Very nice place to stay
We've been staying in Evian for 15 years and this is the first time we have wanted to book the same place again for next year. Very clean unit and they thought of a lot of little extras like hooks in the bathroom and screens on the patio door that made the stay more enjoyable and like home. The home was very clean and well taken care of. Having bikes and beach chairs available was a great bonus! "

Love the new floors, which are ideal for a beach location. Areas to improve: fix very dim lighting over master bath vanity. Fix leak from ceiling AC vent in second bedroom. Rug was wet from that leak when we arrived and smells terrible. I apologize for not calling maintenance on this. I was ill and we left early. Kitchen is nice and well equipped. Overall a great unit and I will remember it for my next trip to HHI. "

"6 day, 5 night stay
We had a great stay in this townhome. There two couples. Each had a bed larger than a full and private bathrooms. Half bath downstairs was also convenient. Property managers were friendly and accommodating. We attempted to use the grill one night but there was no propane. A quick call to the manager and two new tanks were brought out the next morning. Only downside was the hint of cigarette smoke when entering the property. We used the provided bikes all week long without a problem. Access to the beach is a 5 minute ride."

"Charming getaway in shipyard
Loved the rental place. Very spacious and the condo community was great! Easy walking distance to the pool and short bike ride to the beach. Shipyard condo community was beautiful and close to everything. We loved the condo and will definitely be back. Thanks for making our stay easy and seamless "

"225 Evian SMELLS!
The villa is very nice and location great. Rented it because it was "smoke free". All I could smell from time I walked in until we left was a strong smoke smell. Also, it was not cleaned well before we arrived. They had to come back and redo it.
The property manager was very helpful. "

"Smells
When we arrived there was a very heavy smell from someone smoking. It was so heavy we wondered if the cleaning people had been smoking, since we figured they were the last ones there. We aired it out the best we could. After a couple days we were finally able to get rid of the smell. I thought this was a non-smoking unit. The rest of the villa was clean. The knives need to be sharpened. The master bathroom is very nice!"
