"August Stay HHI - Breakers
My wife and I always enjoy our stays on HHI, and our August Stay was no exception.
The location is perfect, directly across the street from Coligny, so walks to shopping and restaurants is very convenient. The unit could use some attention in a couple areas. The bedroom is extremely small and somewhat challenging for holding cloths and suitcases. We managed, but some bedroom updates are needed.
No towel racks in the bathroom, but again we managed.
We're accustomed to larger units, but most of our time is spent outdoors so changes and updates may not be as noticeable to other occupants.
Also; More attention to cleaning should be given to the unit, and the dryer heat does not seemed to be regulated. It damaged a couple shirts because the dryer got too hot - regardless of the settings.."

"Excellent Vacation Spot!
Great service from check in to check out. Condo was exceptional clean. Great place for a family vacation. Easy access to the beach. Restaurants, Beach shops, and Grocery store etc conveniently located across the street. "

Condo was well supplied. Shower was still dirty though. Soap fell and it was covered in hair...first shower. Shower is not draining either."

This was the second time renting unit 114 for my vacation rental. The unit is very nice and love the full kitchen. I have been coming to the Island for golf and relaxation since 1988. There has been a lot changes to the Island since then, but the atmosphere and the Breakers have remained a constant. We will continue to stay at the Breakers and use SeaShore Vacations has our go to for rentals. The staff is always great and the rental process is simple and stress free. Thank you for another great week at the beach."

"Not worth the money
Great location and pool, but downhill from there. Tiny bedroom was horrible. Closet stuffed full of bedding and baskets and a tiny dresser containing TV cables, so no room for our clothing. Useless small set of plastic drawers which we moved out to give us room. Bedroom TV not hooked up. The bed was jammed against the wall. VERY noisy: We heard every step upstairs. Bathroom also left no room to move. Dryer very difficult to open and a vent held in place with a bandaid-literally. No ice maker in fridge and ice trays leaked. Kitchen table tiny and leaf barely hanging on. No TV instructions.. Threadbare furniture and no rugs. Light switches appeared random -- had to go into room to turn on lights. Poorly appointed overall. We felt ripped off. Will not return nor recommend."

Overall we had a great experience, there is a limited view of the ocean. The unit is very nice as pictured and totally renovated. It is centrally located walking distance to popular restaurants and shopping. Any issues we had were promptly addressed and resolved with seashore rentals. Only issue was being able to hear every footstep above us. Nothing the owner could do but other than that we would stay here again "

"Great place and location
Very conveniently located to shops and restaurants. Steps away from the pool and beach. Very clean and nicely decorated. Bedroom is small and not alot of counter space in the bathroom, but certainly took advantage in making the most of all available space. Bed is very comfortable. Very much appreciated all of the helpful communication from the host!"

Fully equipped unit with all the necessary amenities.
Only drawbacks are (a)the small manoeuvering space in the bedroom and (b)the inside location lacks natural light"

"Birthday getaway
Everything was great from the ease of check in the clean room and excellent location right on the beach. Everything you needed was just a short walk away parked the car and didn't get back in it till we left!!"

"Nice location/pretty clean/ great beach access
Location-nice. Fairly clean. Bedroom very small- no room to move around bed. Mattress firm, quiet (not squeaky). Kitchen utensils nice. Could use more than 4 plates/glasses/ etc. Couch makes noises (suggest upgrading). HVAV cycles every 17 mins at 75 degrees and is noisy but keeps villa comfortable. Some deck boards will need replacing pretty soon. Overall it’s a nice little unit with good location close to about everything you would need (walking distance to shops, dining, grocery etc). If you “need” ocean view second floor or above suggested as trees have matured and block most of the ocean view (still pretty area).Overall a nice place to live in for a stay at the beach. Kitchen appliances are fairly new and clean. If we return we’ll just bring a few more glasses and silverware as the place is definitely set up for max of 4 occupants. Great access to beach w showers. "

"Good condo for family of 4
We enjoyed our stay at Breakers. The condo was well equipped, although it could use a broom and mop to help clean up sand from the week. We had 2 adults and 2 children under 5 years old and it was perfect size. We liked the location but also disliked the location. We liked that it was walkable to restaurants, shops and a park for the kids. We disliked the beach being next to the public beach so it was crowded every day. "

"Ideal Condo for a Couple
Have vacationed on HHI many times over the past 20 years. Since we are now empty nesters this condo was the perfect size for us. The view from the balcony is beautiful; love hearing the waves. The pool is close and heated. You can walk right onto the beach or across the street to Colligny. Would/will rent again"

"Winter Getaway
The condo has a lovely view of the ocean and two comfy couches that allow you to sit and appreciate that view. The place is clean and bright, equipped with enough of the basic supplies in the kitchen.
Bathroom is small but the shower is delightful.
The bedroom was claustrophobic but the bed was comfy.
Our biggest issue was with the television. Roku with no instructions. We couldn’t watch the playoff football games or the Australian Tennis Open.

Lovely one bedroom condo right on the beach at Coligny Village! Highly recommended.
Only area of concern is that it will not work for a mobility limited guest as there is very little space in the bedroom"

"Thanksgiving break
Great location situated next door to Coligny Plaza with partial view of the ocean. Property was compact but clean and sufficient for a few days stay. Couches in living room appear to be new. Only two very minor criticisms: no kettle and the hairdryer is useless. Otherwise, perfectly good place for a couple on a short break and wouldn't hesitate to return. "

"October In Hilton Head SC! Awesome!!!
I had nice weather! The place was is good condition, with recent updates. The TV, was a bit tricky to understand, but once i figured out the battries were dead on the remote that helped me figure it out. Really enjoyed the access to the beach and restaurants a real time saver! I would like to return and spend a week!"

Overall good experience. Bedroom is pretty small in all rooms in this complex, just know that it is a struggle to get around the bed. Nice decor. Complex is in the process of adding elevators, stairs only at present."

"The Breakers Unit 114
We were quite happy with the unit overall. The only negatives were the mattress in the bedroom area is impossibly uncomfortable. We didn’t have a single good nights rest. The other negative - amidst many positives - was that the sliding doors to the patio were nearly impossible to open and once open, my husband was the only one who could successfully close it. I feel like that is something that should be addressed with the homeowners association and replaced ASAP. Overall the unit is lovely and has been renovated beautifully. We really loved that there were two sofas in the living area - providing our two children each a place to sleep without having to argue every night. I would definitely stay in this unit again. "

"Would rent again but a few suggestions.
We enjoyed our stay very much, the location of the room and proximity to parking and beach was perfect. You get what you pay for and we were pleased with the room and our stay. My only complaints/ suggestions would be in regards to the bed and dryer. They dryer would shut off mid cycle so you kept having to restart buy that was a small issue compared to the bed. The bed was the hardest of any rental I have ever stayed in. We actually left a day early because we could not sleep in it another night. The pull out couch was much more comfy than the bed. A new or softer mattress would make this room go from good to great! "

"Great get away!
very clean, great location, beautiful kitchen, well equipped, nice bathroom. The bedroom configuration needs help, having bed up against the wall was awkward to climb in and out for a week. Everything else was great! We had AC problems and they were quick to get a repairman out and problem fixed! We for sure would love to return :) "

"Great Condo!
We (2 adults-2 kids) stayed here for a week in July 2020. The condo has recently been renovated inside and it is very nice and clean! All appliances were new and the pullout couch was comfortable for my kids. (Property Management) was friendly over the phone and helped me find this location because the original one I inquired about was already booked.
The location is perfect if you like being close to the beach and shopping/restaurants. You can walk everywhere and not drive once.
The deck faces to the beach/ocean but it’s on the first floor so you only get a partial view because of the dune landscaping.
I wish they would install a cover on the under side of the second floor deck because we had water/food fall through the crack from a strange neighbor staying above us during the stay. "
