"Hanalei Heaven
This was a perfect house for our family. We really enjoyed the deck and spent a ton of time out there. So beautiful when it was raining. Listening to the birds and counting the rainbows. Bedrooms and beds were very comfortable. The only downside was there was a gas leak and we had no oven or stove top to use our entire 12 days. We were told the night before we arrived. They kindly provided portable oven's and hot pads but they really didn't work well for our needs. they kept blowing fuses. We wanted to cook most meal's at the house because we were traveling with a 6 month old but that didn't work out. if the kitchen issues get fixed it is a wonderful place to stay and we highly recommend."

"Amazing comfort and location
This house is beautifully decorated, very clean and large! We loved the kitchen, balcony with view of the ocean and the other outdoor space, but best of all is the one minute walk to the beach and five minute walk to the restaurants, shops, etc... could not be better!"

"PERFECT!!!
There are not enough superlatives to describe our experience at this home. It is spacious, comfortable, beautifully furnished and the kitchen(s) are intuitively designed and well equipped with everything one who enjoys cooking could need (except for a garlic press, our only negative comment!). Also tons of beach chairs, towels, boogie boards, umbrellas and a wagon to carry it all!
We have previously only stayed on the ocean side of Weke Road so we were unsure if "steps to the beach" was really accurate, and it is. It is only about 100 steps from the front door to the entrance to the beach. Literally maybe a 90 second walk.
We LOVED this home and can't wait to go back."

"Slow Yourself Down
Our family of 6 adults and one 18 month old stayed at this property on Hanalei Bay for two weeks. The management could not have been more accommodating and responsive to our questions/needs. The home is spotless, beautifully decorated and stocked with paper towels, toilet paper, soaps, laundry detergent and cleaning supplies. The location of the home is perfect for a quick walk into town or to the beach. We enjoyed the ping pong table as well as the three lanais. Our little guy loved the beach toys waiting for him, and we were thankful for the beach chairs, umbrellas and wagon to cart our stuff. The outdoor shower made rinsing off after a beach day a snap. We enjoyed ourselves immensely at this home and wished for more days to enjoy this magnificent place. "

"Hanalei
We have been visiting this property since 2010, almost annually. It is a wonderful property and a great location. Unfortunately, the new management company has nearly tripled the cost of the rental moving forward. This puts this property out of reach for future stays. It is also a shame that Hanalei is turning into a tropical Aspen, where only the super wealthy can afford to stay there. It changes the entire vibe of the town and the beach. It used to be a hidden gem, very local, with a Hippie vibe. I fear it may now be changed forever. It's certainly not an affordable locale. "

"Paradise on Hanalei Bay
From arrival to departure this home did not disappoint! The home was exceptionally clean and the furnishings were well maintained and beautiful. We cooked breakfast and dinner at the home every day. The kitchen was well appointed and a joy to cook in. The AC units in each of the bedrooms and upper family room worked great when we needed them. We really appreciated the boogie boards, beach chairs, beach wagon and beach towels available to us at the home. All of the mattresses were super comfortable. The only negative critique I can give is for the mattress in the upper secondary bedroom, each side had developed the "dips" that occur with time.

The location of the home made the stay super easy for our group of 8. A quick walk into Hanalei for happy hour, groceries, shaved ice or fish from the Dolphin market allowed everyone to do what they wanted on their schedule. Memorable home for a memorable family vacation!"

This is about the 8th time we have stayed at Nalu Hanalei and it keeps getting better. New furniture was a welcome treat! Super clean upon arrival. Never a need to contact the management company but I will say that they were way out in front of things with communication prior to our arrival. If you are looking for a rental that has everything (toys/TV's/kitchens/wonderful beds/AC) and is walking distance to the beach and town...this is your place! Hanalei...still one of the most beautiful places in the world! "

"Loved Hanalei Bay and rental!
Nalu Hanalei was perfect for 2 couples upstairs and a family of 3 downstairs. Upstairs balcony very comfortable for dining or lounging. Great views. Walk to beach was convenient. Walk to town is also convenient.

2 very minor suggestions:
Would be nice to have a flat skillet for making pancakes/French Toast.
Would also be nice to provide tissues/Kleenex somewhere in house.

All in all, highly recommend Nalu Hanalei. "

"Hanalei Paradise
Nalu Hanalei is an outstanding rental property. It’s location on Weke Road is ideal. Although not situated directly beachfront, the ocean views from inside the home and from the upstairs lanai are absolutely incredible because of an undeveloped beachfront lot across the street. The home’s interior is beautiful, comfortable, spacious and as represented in online photos. Split system air conditioning keeps home cool during hot afternoons. We were a group of 6, family and friends. The young adults stayed downstairs with their own two bedrooms, bath, kitchen, living area, and lanai. We would gather upstairs for group meals at either of the large dining tables, one inside, one outside on lanai. Kitchen is well-outfitted with everything one may need for food prep, serving, etc. The town of Hanalei was a short walk away. We walked to Dolphin Fish Market and picked up delicious fresh fish, sushi and poke. Bay is perfect for swimming and bodysurfing. The clean, soft sand beach is a great place to relax, play and enjoy the day. Wonderful hikes nearby. There are no large resorts in the town of Hanalei. It is a special place."

"Beyond Paradise

"Annual family trip
Great location. Quick walk to beach. Easy walk to Hanalei town. We all really enjoyed upstairs lanai and view. Loved the equitable sized bedrooms all with king beds. Several maintenance issues. Downstairs toilet clogged on first use after our Saturday arrival. Had to wait until Monday for septic tank pumped. Still never functioned very well. Both upstairs and downstairs freezer doors were broken. They did bring in a refrigerator/freezer and placed on back patio but that meant schlepping ice upstairs all the time. Upstairs dishwasher broken. Though downstairs one was working all the dishes were upstairs and we just hand washed rather than carry them down and back up. All in all an enjoyable stay and would recommend once these issues are resolved"
