"Great beach vacation 2025
We had a great time at Water's Edge. You can't stay any closer to the beach unless you stay in a tent directly on the beach. You can sit on the pool deck and feel like you are on the beach. One of my favorite places to stay."

"Very nice 3 bedroom unit
We were very happy with the unit for our annual girls trip. The balcony was awesome. 2nd bedroom bed was very good and felt brand new. The bed in the master should be replaced soon, but was good for the one person who used it by sleeping in the middle. Kitchen had everything we needed for cooking breakfasts, lunch’s, and snacks. We did no major cooking as we ate out for dinners. Couches and chairs were acceptable but we didn’t spend much time in them.

Management company could have been better as, although they answered my questions timely, I didn’t find them to be friendly or have the info I needed. The unit had chairs but they said there weren’t any. Though chairs were not sufficient for our needs. Management company could have told us that the gift shop could rent us nice Tommy Bahamas chairs and umbrellas.

Unrelated to the unit or management company, the resort needs work with regards to outside the store and deck which had many large cockroaches at night. We observed the cafe closing up and sweeping but outside garbage not emptied and was overflowing. To be clear the unit had zero bugs, not even an errant ant. I still recommend the unit, but would not be out at night near the store, nor would I eat anything from the cafe. "

"Updated Unit Inside
The individual unit we stayed in had been updated. That was nice. The building itself had not been. I wouldn't stay here again although we loved the location in Garden City and the proximity to Murrell's Inlet. It turns out there were so many nicer looking condo buildings right near where we stayed. We did enjoy the fact that our unit was on the end and had access to a balcony area from our bedroom. The pool area had been updated but the gates were locked until 8 am so when we wanted to access the beach to walk in the mornings we had to go to a public access. One main reason I would never stay here again is that we ended up having neighbors to our right. When they stood near their railing they could look over at us all the time and could watch and listen to everything we said. They were loud and played loud music during the day when we wanted to sit and read on our balcony and relax. We couldn't. They also were smoking quite a bit. I thought it was a non-smoking building. I guess if they are owners they can do what they want, but it made it miserable for us. We just had to go inside, after paying for oceanfront. I am sorry for the owners of the unit we stayed in but I would not stay there again. "

"refreshing getaway
Our condo was nicely decorated, spacious, close to local shopping and eateries, Clean, and more room than we needed for 3 adults. We booked a 8-night stay. The condo felt like a home. Kitchen was stocked well for those wishing to cook small easy meals if they chose. I could have used an additional cookie sheet and bigger stock pot to cook corn on the cob. YET, it was all doable. Our location was about 25-30 minutes away from main Myrtle Beach (which we wanted). Can't forget to add, we loved the ocean front view of the beach. Minimal walking to the beach. Waters Edge has a wonderful indoor/outdoor pool and hot tub, plenty of seating, and lovely deck area. In the CONDO: the only down fall was the uncomfortable couch, and the two full size beds which gave my daughter and I horrible neck and Jaw pain. We either woke up in pain or went to bed in pain. Heat and ice did not work well. We would have like to suggest purchasing seat and back cushions on the chairs on the balcony instead of the pillows. Overall, this was our first vacation in Garden City Beach/ Myrtle Beach. We will do it again!!! It was an amazing getaway from Ohio. "

The only disappointment was not having the pool and hot tub due to renovations! But the condo owner offered a discount! Which was nice.

"July Get Away

"It’s 2020...How ‘bout WiFi that Actually Works?
Unit 1201 is a good off-season value for a 3BD condo. That’s about it on the positives. The kitchen is ancient. The bathrooms are overdue for a facelift. The front doors are totally ghetto. All that would be tolerable if the WiFi actually worked. None of our guests could connect their devices (and two of them are computer engineers!). Totally unacceptable for ANY lodging, anywhere in the USA. We won’t be returning. "
