Prior to arrival, if a guest has to shorten their stay or change their unit, normal cancellation penalties may apply, whether they are insured or not. Refunds issued by will be issued no more than 30 days after departure date of original stay. "Summer vacation
This was a last minute rental due to a problem with our regular summer vacation plans. The place was nice. It’s a little outdated and needs to be cleaned. Really really well. The drapes in the bedroom have a very musty, smell and look old and dirty, and it was very loud because of the construction on the building nearby, even though the condo overlooks the pool, there was constant screaming and yelling of kids and adults at all hours of the day and night. Also the blinds in the main living room need to be darker instead of white because it’s impossible to sleep in in the morning chair service Was great, but the people Who run it, an attitude . The condo was not terrible but just needs a little updating and some TLC... Was nice being on one of the bottom floors so we didn’t have to take the elevator all the time. Overall, it was a decent week. I did enjoy my visit but not sure I would stay here again. "

"Winter Stay
We enjoyed our winter stay at Island Princess with the white sands and gulf view. If we had any needs or concerns during our stay the staff was very helpful and responsive to take care of an issue. Our condo was comfortable and very convenient to the upper level parking. We have been very pleased to rent through Brooks and Shorey. Very good to work with."

We enjoyed our stay in IP 208. The view was perfect as well as being located just above the pool and near the parking area. The only complain I have is that I wish it were more updated. I would stay again though!"

A little disappointed on this trip. Condo had to swept upon arrival. Bed was not comfortable the ceiling has dust or mold in the living area, pool gates were not working properly. It just didn't seem to be up to Brooks & Shorey standards."

Floors have probably never been mopped, curtains stained and dirty, sofa stained, food dried up on pictures in dining area. Outside area needs to be pressure washed, has mildew on stairs."

"Condo was satisfactory. Not as clean as I would like.
Overall condition of the condo was barely satisfactory. The curtains in living room and the bedroom are clearly stained and dirty. We wore socks at night and they were literally full of dirt by the time we went to bed. The bathroom has chipped countertops. The refrigerator was broken the night we checked in. I think more attention should be taken for the amount of money we put out for a weeks stay. "

"Beach Condo
I was able to access the condo earlier than anticipated and was very pleased upon entering the unit. After being there for a while, I realized the floors were extremely dirty and had not been cleaned properly. I had to wear shoes the entire time because the dirt was everywhere. There are broken cabinets in the kitchen, the shower faucet in the bath area has accumulated mold on it. The mattresses are extremely old and were very uncomfortable. I had to sleep on the couch (not the pull out), just the couch as the mattress was so bad. If the property were updated and given a thorough cleaning, I would recommend it to a friend as the view was perfect. However, in it's current state, I could not recommend. The location was great for beach access. Not located near any restaurants so an uber was required to go to the grocery store, restaurants, and tourist attractions. I believe these points should be mentioned in the rental description as I flew in and did not have a rental car. The furniture was nice in the living room area. I did the jet boat ride in Destin and was able to see many dolphins. I would definitely recommend this activity. The shopping at the Destin Harborwalk was fun. I enjoyed The Shack and Tail Spin restaurants. The Fudgery store in Destin had the best caramel apples I have ever eaten. In the email I received prior to my arrival, I was advised I needed to bring toilet paper, hair dryer and paper towels. I think the description should indicate that enough paper products are available in the unit for a few days, along with detergent for laundry and dishwasher. I had to pack these things as I was not aware they would actually be available in the unit. It was a restful and enjoyable 5 days. The young men setting up the umbrellas and chairs were friendly and helpful."

"Great View and Convenient Location
The Island Princess is close to the water with great views. Unit 208 is the perfect location for watching grandchildren in the pool while having an ocean view. Stocked with basic cookware for those nights cooking in, but close to restaurants for eating out. "

The condo was exactly as described in the listing. Communication with Brooks and Shorey was great, wonderful group to rent from. Access to the condo was convenient from the second level parking deck.
Easy beach access was awesome and we very much enjoyed the complimentary beach chairs and umbrella. We will definitely stay here again!

"oh what a new mattress would do!
No. 1 complaint was lack of sleep due to a terrible mattress. My wife nor I got a good night's rest the whole vacation. This makes my overall rating a 3 just because we were both feeling tired every day. Everything else was fine besides no electrical outlets at the bunk bed area. This was a pain for my kids devices when they wanted to stay up late. I mean, they are on vacation too! "

"Holland review
Overall, we really enjoyed the time. However, there are/were issues that I feel should have already been addressed that I had to bring to the attention of management. The coffee maker leaked... OK, they responded quickly and replaced it. However, 1] the dryer was malfunctioning and was locked shut and unusable; 2] the extremely old DVD player in the LR was a pain to use (play button on remote not working) and disappointing. (As cheap as those are, there's no reason to not have a newer HDMI unit in there); 3] the cables hanging below the TV in the bedroom are just tacky looking - a lack of caring. And, though obviously, not the fault of the owner/management, this confirmed that we will always want to rent a unit a good bit higher up. This was way too noisy much of the time because of the closeness of the pool - both early and late hours."

"A great stay in Island Princess 208!
We loved our trip here and our stay. Vacation rental company made check-in and all parts of our trip easy. The condo was exactly as described and very clean. It had all new appliances in perfect shape. The beds were very comfortable and we really enjoyed the linens and blankets-- much nicer quality than we were expecting. Great location and we loved the beach chair service and the opportunity to try a few new things locally. The condo was literally steps away from the beach and the beach chair service. We did the dolphin cruise and our kids loved it. We would definitely stay here again and would rent from B&S again. "

"Very nice rental

The condo is an excellent location with plenty of space, beautifully decorated, great view of pool and the ocean. The room was ready an hour early which was a pleasant surprise. The sofa bed is comfortable. The condo comes with beach service of 2 chairs and an umbrella. Would have preferred to have the chairs on the front row but was told that was for owners that were in town. On day 2, we were shocked to find bugs in the bathroom and the dishwasher. From then on, we saw bugs every day in the kitchen and bathroom. Another problem was the DVD player in the family room. The connection to the tv worked sporadically. Other than the bugs and dvd problem, it was a great condo that I would recommend. "

Right off the 2nd story parking lot, if you have kids this rental is for you! We could walk directly from the lot to our door. One story above the pool made it super convenient to carry our kids back and forth! We live this condo! We will definitely be booking it again. All appliances are brand new! Super super clean! "Convenient
