This was a great unit to stay in. Very clean room enjoyed the big screen TV at night you know can't miss SEC football. Beach service supplied which was a great amenities stay on the beach from 9to5."

"Location and view
Great location and view! Walk out of the condo and onto the beach! The beach service was fantastic! Connor took really good care of us, and our umbrella/chair rentals. The view from the condo balcony, especially at night, was amazing. The condo is not large, but is exactly as described. We knew what we were getting, and it was accommodating for our family. If you plan to have meals in the kitchen, be prepared to go to Publix, as you would need many items, including the basic essentials such as salt and pepper. The kitchen is equipped with everything you would need to actually cook, such as pots, pans, etc, but just that. The carpet is a little dated, but I completely understand why it wouldn’t be replaced, as renters would continually just track in sand. The condo was very clean, and the a/c worked amazingly! The management company was great to deal with, and communication was fantastic. We would definitely stay here again. "

We had a few minor hiccups that were quickly resolved. The only really bad thing was the condition of the bed on the pull out couch. It was very uncomfortable from lack of support. "

The many good things are indicated in the star ratings below: clean unit, great location right on the water, efficient and professional B and S staff, plus there's a great, very comfortable recliner in the living-room area. The negatives are: There's no dresser in the bedroom, no place to store clothes other than a small closet, AND the closet has no hangers. The dining table and chairs are high style, and very uncomfortable. And the chairs are wobbly. Plates, mugs, so-called "bowls" in kitchen are square. Some people may like that, I do not. A major issue was that neither TV worked when I arrived. Fortunately, after I called B and S, a maintenance man came and fixed them, but only after a long time of puzzlement and after great effort. He finished just in time for me to watch the Super Bowl. I had arrived in the condo c.4:30pm. I fear that, if you'd arrive much later and the TVs do not work, the B and S office would be closed and you'd be out of luck till morning."

Pelican Isle and Brooks and Shorey are excellent combination! The unit was very clean and well stocked in the kitchen. The appliances were all very nice and updated. Has carpet in the living area and bedroom. It needs replacing."

"Almost perfect week
The unit was very clean and neat. Not really any storage for suitcase contents. The mattress was horrible, even had boards under it. The fan was on high, had to call maintenance concerning fan and mattress. The TV in the bedroom went wonkie the last day. The pool and beach were great as well as the rest of the condo. I sent this before but no reply from you guys. Possibly willing to stay again next year."

"Fort Walton Vacation
This condo was amazing in so many ways!! Location,view, price and amenities just to name a few. The only issue I have was the master bedroom mattress because it wasn’t comfortable due to it sinking in when laying on it. I would definitely return to this condo anytime I am in Fort Walton. I do suggest bringing dish soap and/or dishwasher pods if you plan on cooking because we were only provided with a trial pack for dishwasher. "

Beautiful view! Quiet location! The weather was perfect! Easy check-in. What else can I say? My only concern was the high top tables- both on the balcony and in the room. Very uncomfortable. Small children and mobility impaired adults would have a hard time sitting and eating comfortably. "

"Fort Walton
The condo was really nice. It was well kept and very clean. Check in was the easiest ever. The balcony was roomy clean and with a great view. There were a couple of downsides. The mattress was hard which made for a rough nights sleep and aches the next morning. The volume of the tv in the bedroom kept going in and out so you would miss half of what you were attempting to watch. The bedroom was not ocean view unfortunately. Overall is was a great stay! Would return but with a mattress topper next time. :)"

"Disappointed
When we arrived, the dryer wasnt working. We were there 6 days without a dryer. Bedroom door lock was broken. Floors seemed dirty. My sister had the unit right beside us (ours 407; theirs 408). Fortunately, we could use their dryer. Both units were in need of some updating. On a positive note, the weather was nice all week and the beaches were beautiful. As far as accommodations, we will try someplace else next time."

We had a few issues. On Tuesday 9/12 the water was shut off for the entire building from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. I think some kind of notification should have been given to all guest. The ceiling in the kitchen shows some type of water leak from the unit above. On Sunday 9/15 we had water on the kitchen floor. I spoke to the lady in the unit above us she was told not to use the shower. One of the elevators did not work for a couple of days and the west stairway was closed for painting. Not sure if we will stay at Pelican Isle again."

"Labor Day Weekend Getaway
Very much enjoyed my stay at this condo with a beautiful view of the Gulf! The condo was comfortable, with a nice kitchen. My only concern was that the bed was uncomfortable. Not sure what caused it, but it seemed one side was lower than the other, with a bit of a lump in the center. "

"We didn’t want to leave!
We had a wonderful time! We stayed for 11 days! The condo was very clean and the ocean view was to die for. The beach was beautiful and we met so many nice families. The water was perfect. There are so many wonderful restaurants that are close by and Destin is a short drive for even more incredible food and places to shop. We will definitely be coming back!"

"A perfect week watching dolphins from the balcony!
Pelican Isle 407 was so clean when we checked in. We love the keypad entry, no key to carry around all week. Great view, not over the pool or shower area. We saw dolphins every day but one. The bed was super comfortable! Don't plan on sleeping in though everyone slams their door when entering and leaving. "

We've stayed at Pelican Isle several times. Every time is a wonderful experience - easy booking, professional staff, closeness of condo to the beach - we love it all. Unfortunately we were evacuated due to the hurricane - but were refunded for the nights we didn't stay - without ever having to make a phone call. THAT is good business. We will definitely return to the Pelican Isle.

"Early Fall getaway
We liked the location of this condo and the complex. Living room furniture wasn't as comfy as we would have liked and the washer and dryer were a nightmare. It could take almost an hour to wash a load and drying time was as long. "

"Great family get away directly on the beach!
Check in was so easy! We received our door code and all information was waiting for us in the condo. We were out on the beach less than an hour after arriving! The condo was clean and had all items we needed. We had a great view of the beach from our 4th floor balcony. All kitchen appliances worked! The clothes dryer stopped working the night before we left, but that happens sometimes. The beach chair service was great! We had a great spot each day. The condo was very comfortable for our family of 4."

"Great accommodations!
We truly enjoyed our stay. The condo was clean and had all the comforts of home. The location was great too. Easy access to the beach, and all the shops were just mins down the road. My only complaint was the large family that stayed above us that had kids running around until 3am! That was an extremely aggravating night. This condominium is great for families . Not so perfect for romantic getaway. Also there was never anyone working w front deck and the walkways, hallways downstairs at the entrance and elevator were very dirty. "

"Breathtaking view - perfect location
Our stay at PI407 was wonderful. February is a great time to visit for a relaxing vacation. There are no crowds and you practically have the beach to yourself! The view from the balcony as well as through the windows was breathtaking. Love to see and hear the ocean - and it's good that the unit is not above the pool (as that can get noisy).
The only issue we had was the washer AND the dryer were broken. The maintenance man couldn't fix it, so he went to get someone else, and no one ever showed up - all week. Other than not being able to wash clothes, our stay was perfect. We LOVED the chaise lounge - very comfortable. The kitchen was stocked well and there were plenty of towels. We would definitely rent here again. "

"Pelican Isle 407
We were very dissappointed in the bed in the bedroom. It had a huge hole that was on the right side of the bed if you were lying down. Made for a very uncomfortable nights sleep. Also by the end of our trip the screws were coming out of the door jamb and we couldn't get in at first on the saturday towards the end of our trip. I figure for the money we paid it should be well taken care of in this respect. Otherwise it was a beautiful view from our room and the rental property was clean. "

Love Pelican Isle overall, this is our fourth stay. This condo needs some tlc. The swivel chair needs replacing. There were only 3 dining chairs instead of 4 and they were shaky. There isn't any clothing storage (dresser) in the bedroom and no hangers in closet. Although the kitchen is well stocked with dinnerware and cookware, there wasn't any storage for food. The chairs on the balcony (3) were beach chairs. There wasn't a table on balcony. Every condo we every rented had a high table and 4 chairs on the balcony. We had to purchase hangers and a small table for balcony. "

"Great Winter Get Away
The area where the facility great. Not very congested. Office help very friendly. Beach was bueatiful, nice quiet area. Unit 407 needs new carpet, it is filthy dirty. Need more cooking utensils. Furniture in the living area is not very comfortable. When we got there I had to clean the stool myself, as it had human fecal matter smeared on the outside of the bowl.
King Bed was very comfortable. Very nice pool and hot tub area. Beautiful view from our room. We were promised chairs and Umbrella, even though we discussed the March 1 starting time. They said we would have one, but didn't provide it."

"The Perfect Beach Wedding and Honeymoon
My fiancé' and I stayed in 407 as a part of a wedding package. The Condo was very clean, the furniture was comfortable and the view was spectacular. The staff was very friendly and everything in the entire complex was always neat and orderly. During our stay, I do not remember leaving the building without seeing at least one person cleaning the windows, elevator, pool or somewhere. Our stay was simply PERFECT and we will return for another vacation in the very near future."

Pelican Isle is a small paradise away from home. I stay at the condos often for work and it is a great place to come "home" to. The condo was clean and well equipped. The only thing that would have made it better would have been a screen on the sliding glass door. The staff at Pelican Isle (Barbara) is professional, polite and always helpful. "

"Not as comfortable as it look beautiful
This is the 3rd unit we stay at Pelican Isle. And the most dressers, 1 night stand. The mattress was way too soft. I'm 105 and it sunk me very low, gave me backache. Masterbath shower curtain was way too long, it's wet and messy. The kitchen pots and pans were terrible! You can't cook and clean aluminum. Sleeper bed and spinning chair are so worn out and very uncomfortable. Not enough chairs to eat at dining. Unit does not have decent balcony chairs, in bad table out there. It was just way too uncomfortable to enjoy the beautiful beach front view in this condo. The one decent piece of furniture was the chaise...if you don't slip from the material. Have never been unhappy with any condo until this one."
