"Week at beach fall break
Overall excellent trip. Condo was nice and had large balcony. Usual handful of supplies to get you started. Cooked breakfast every day. Beach chair service was on point as always. Covered parking with this unit was nice.
Carpet in main bedroom could use replacement or tile instead of carpet. Bed had some mileage on it but we slept great. Minimal decor my wife likes more beach decorations "

The condo was everything we needed it to be, except for a couple of issues. The bed in the master needs to be replaced, it sags in areas, and it was too soft for our preference. Same with the couch. We enjoyed the balcony daily. The condo was in a nice area and was easy to find. We liked the dedicated parking space in the garage."

Stayed here in 2017 on my honeymoon and ironically this year took a family vacation and unbeknownst to me, stayed in the exact same room as before! First night the Master bedroom tv wouldn’t turn on, I submitted a maintenance request and the following morning (A SUNDAY) a maintenance man was there with a brand new tv to replace it! You can’t beat service like that! Room was clean on arrival and had great views of the beach! 10/10 recommend staying here "

"Another Great Vacation at Pelican Isle
Our condo was very clean and comfortable. We have already booked the unit for next year! The beds were very comfortable. Plenty of linens were provided. I would suggest that the kitchen be restocked. There were no plastic bowls with lids for storing food and there was only one very small skillet. All other kitchen items were plentiful. My husband suggests replacing the living room chair with one he can nap in. HaHa"

We stay every October, usually in this same unit,504. Always a great week for a relaxing vacation. The unit was clean and well maintained. One suggestion, It’s definitely time the owners invest in a new mattress for the master bedroom. One side has a “valley”. A good nights sleep is crucial to a good vacation. Otherwise, another great stay in 504. "

"Covid Vaccination Reward!!
Our condo was absolutely beautiful. It was clean, well-maintained and comfortable. The view of the Gulf of Mexico from our balcony was perfect-it allowed us to de stress after a long year of front line work. Our only disappointment was that our condo was not ready for occupancy until almost 6:30 PM which was frustrating after a long day of driving and the need to just get to our end destination. It was also clear that the agent calling us was tired of back from to tell people that the condos weren’t ready on time. I hope that can be resolved or at least, the offer of some compensation made for the inconvenience. Overall, the trip was a success. On the flip side, the agent I spoke with when I booked my trip was fantastic -she provided me with great suggestions. So, the agent on the front end gets 5 stars."

"Condo Tango
The day before our arrival I received a phone call telling me our condo was unavailable due to severe damage. In a panic and time crunch, my agent worked with me to find another location. Due to heavy booking we had to split our stay between two condos. Inconvenient for sure, but I was glad we didn’t have to cancel our trip. We only wasted on day on the room change. We were one bed short on the last night. When made to women in their 50’s try to climb into bunch beds! No ideal at all. I realize the occurrence was unforeseeable, but it did put a huge damper on our experience. Praying for a better trip next year. "

For the most part we were pleased with the unit with the exception of the bedding. The master bed’s comforter had an odor to it, the 2nd bedroom’s bedding (comforter and pillow shams) were threadbare and the sheet on the pull out couch was dirty. "

"Pelican Isle 504
This is a beautiful condo with gorgeous views and spacious floor plan. Unfortunately, upon our arrival, the condo was disturbingly unclean. The sofa bed was covered with cookies, sunflower seeds, and chocolate milk. The shower was not cleaned. The dishes were not turned on. There was left over food in the freezer. Several towels were left in the washing machine that we didn't find until two days later and after they had mildewed. There was a horrible smell in the condo that we discovered was coming from the cleaning closet and was a wet, dirty, molded mop. My wife went to Publix and bought cleaning supplies and instead of going out on our first night, she spent the evening cleaning the condo. There was a second cleaning crew sent out the second day that replaced the bedding, but by then the condo was already cleaned by my wife. Apart from the uncleanliness, the condo unit was nice. "

"Nice but needs a little tweaking to make it better.
The first thing we noticed upon arrival was the 3 tears in the living room screen. The second thing we noticed was the master toilet rocks and not in a good way. The master mattress was less than comfortable. The one in the 2nd bedroom is comfortable though. We got the impression that this may have been a new purchase for the owners and they are working to get it to it's best. There were only the 2 of us so no problem with the dishes. Had we actually had the 8 it can hold only 5 of us could have had a bowl of soup or ice cream at a time. All small and very fixable stuff. We very much enjoyed our 2 weeks but I'm sure if we stay again it will be much improved. The wide balcony is wonderful and we got to watch a pod of dolphins catching their meal for a bout 15 to 20 minutes one day. So exciting! The master bath is large and had a double vanity and a wonderful stand alone shower. Don't let my comments scare you away because I feel sure they are working to make it all it could be. The access to the beach and pool is really great. We will follow the progress since we come to Okaloosa Island twice a year for a total of 4 weeks. "

"Pelican Isle is so lovely!
We rented condo #504 for the first time. We enjoyed our third time staying in Pelican Isle. It is so clean. There were issues with the hot tub and pool not heating on and off all week. So that was a kind of a bummer for our family, but we totally enjoyed the beach and even saw dolphins jumping! The beach is so clean. There was one issue in the unit with the washer. Not sure if it's imbalanced or what, but I did laundry every day and different size loads and every time it spun it sounded like a freight train! So loud! I felt sorry if our neighbors could hear that as well."

We had a wonderful time at Pelican Isle this September. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool, hot tub, and chairs/umbrella at the beach. The room was spacious with all the amenities we needed. It was nice to have a designated covered parking space as well. We love staying on Okaloosa Island away from the busier 98, and it is an easy drive to Destin for dining. We had a wonderful time and we are looking forward to returning as soon as we can! "

"Beautiful getaway
Easy to check in and out. Condo was ready before time. The room was well laid out. The air did have a little trouble keeping it cool in the middle of the day but it never got so hot you couldn’t stand it. Will definitely be back. The beach and weather were amazing!!!!"

"Gorgeous View!!!!
This particular unit has a balcony off the living area and also off the master bedroom!! Building is well maintained. Beach is not overly crowded since the building is only 6 floors high and all units are on the beach. Loved having 2 beach chairs and 1 umbrella set up for us daily. Pelican Isle is a VERY family friendly place to stay, has a lot of young children, and is QUIET!! #504 has a very equipped kitchen for baking and cooking. The extra cabinet in the hallway is perfect for guest clothing or kitchen supplies. One big disappointment for us was the bunkbed. It was a great space to sleep but the picture shows a guard rail on the top bunk that is no longer there. We ended up putting both kids in the lower bunk and used the kitchen chairs as a guard rail for the lower bunk and it was needed. All worked out fine but I do wish the picture was accurate as that guard rail was important to us. I also want to mention the master shower/bath. It is not a good fit for elderly (anyone who looses balance easily) or short people. You have to take a huge step over the tub to get in and only a glass door to stabilize you. The guest bedroom is extremely cozy and all beds were comfortable. Access to the beach was simple by stairs or elevator. This unit has a parking spot in the garage! By the size of the garage I do not think all units have a spot. We kept all beach toys in front of our car instead of dragging them up to the room daily. Extra skimboards, boogie, tube, and beach chairs in room were great. The pool was small but not overly crowded and always had an empty chair. The price for the cleaning service was steep. Despite the written reminder on the balcony doors, I seemed to stub my toe several times in the first 24 hours. I would recommend bright colored tape on the lower ledge as an additional reminder. You will have a great stay in Pelican Isle 504! Brooks/Shorey made it simple! Sea Blaster was fun (and wild) and we saw lots of dolphins jump!"

"Clean, spacious, and breathtaking views!
My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon. It was beautiful. Amazing view and the balcony was wonderful. It was way too big for just the two of us, but I wouldn't have traded a minute of it! The bed in the master was comfortable, and waking up to that view every morning was breathtaking. I was worried about carpet in a beach condo, but it wasn't bad at all! The washer and dryer were very handy and would be great, especially when traveling with kids or a large family. The condo had all amenities we could have needed, including dishes, pots, pans, coffee pot, etc., and even had a few beach chairs and body boards. The elevator was quick, and we rarely had more than a few second wait. The staff was very friendly! Access to the beach was nice, and the pool and hot tub looked clean and well maintained, but we didn't use it. The location was perfect for us! Not in the middle of downtown, but just a short, maybe 2-4 minute drive to Fort Walton, and no more than 10-15 minute drive to Destin, depending on the traffic. The Rockin Taco was one of the best places we ate in Fort Walton, and we loved the Donut Hole in Destin! All in all, we had an amazing, relaxing trip! I can't say anything negative about the condo and can't wait to try to book a vacation with our children in the future!"

The beach is wonderful. The unit is one of the few which extends the living room balcony to the master bedroom. The master bath has a jacuzzi with a high step in, which could be a problem for some people.

"Unexpected Get Away
This condo was amazing. Perfect location, Perfect height. Loved falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the ocean. My 2 girls absolutely loved the bunk beds in the hall and being right between us and Grandma. We only stayed 3 nights and it was a last minute trip, so I booked in a hurry after looking at the confirmation letter I realized I had accidentally booked the wrong condo in the building. I emailed the management and in 5 minutes they had called and switched the room. It was amazing customer service. "

"PI 504 Wonderful place to stay....
My family travels to Fort Walton every year for our vacation. This condo is our favorite. Very beautiful, clean, friendly staff, large pool, and large hot tub(my favorite). The codon has plenty of room, extra towels, everything you need in the kitchen, free movie rentals, and balcony that extends past master bedroom (another one of my favorites). Master bath has a jetted tub which is also great. The weather was perfect so we stayed on the beach all week. We will definitely be back....."

"Very Nice but Room for Improvement
We were very pleased with the location and staff. The amenities were really nice: reserved covered parking, pool and hot tub were great, free movie rentals, beach chair and umbrella already set up, great view from the balcony, comfy bed. Only a few suggestions...not enough hot water. We had a jetted tub and there wasn't enough hot water to fill the tub so that was kind of a bummer. Also, the stoppers in the tubs didn't work properly. You could still hear the water draining out. The electronics were not great. Outdated TV in bedroom - it was a TV/VCR combo LOL the DVD player wasn't even hooked up and the remotes were scattered in the wrong rooms so we had to figure all of that out. Would recommend Pandora's restaurant nearby. The food, décor, service and atmosphere was unique. We ate there several times. We still would definitely stay here again, we very much enjoyed our vacation."

"Gulf Front Paradise View From PI 504
My recent weekly stay at Pelican Isle Condos on Okaloosa Island, FWB proved to be a taste of paradise! I stayed at these condos several years ago and I had a very positive experience then. So I knew I wanted to rent a Gulf Front condo again at PI. I prefer a higher floor so PI Unit 504 was a perfect fit. This unit was in very good shape- with bright but soothing colors of red and yellow. The beds were very comfortable as well as the sofa and chairs in the family room and dining areas. I really enjoyed sitting on the balcony each morning sipping my hot tea while watching the beautiful sunrise over the Gulf. Nice breezes prevailed in the evenings as well.I enjoyed going to the beach mid morning and having an umbrella and 2 chairs waiting for me, compliments of Pelican Isle Condos.
I also enjoyed a nice dip/ swim in the rectangular shaped pool and the warm hot tub , especially in the evening. I felt very safe while staying at this property. The staff running this Brooks & Shorey Resorts property were very friendly, professional, and helpful.I really enjoyed this location on Okaloosa Island as it's quieter on this end of the island. I prefer staying on Fort Walton Beaches as opposed to Destin Beach areas because they are less populated, yet the beach is still sugary white with emerald green waters. I did get stung by some tiny jelly fish and I recommend keeping a bottle of apple cider vinegar handy in case needed. One of my favorite restaurants for fresh seafood , High Tide Restaurant Oyster Bar / Lounge, is very close by on Okaloosa Island near the light at Miracle Strip Pkwy and Hwy 98. Locals frequent this place for the freshest, tastiest seafood and oysters. I would highly recommend Pelican Isle Condos to my family and friends! I only wish it was 6 hours closer to Austin, Texas! I look forward to returning again and relaxing at Pelican Isle Condos in the near future. "
