"Styrczula Family Trip
the Property is in a great location, but it needs a rehab overall everything was clean besides the balcony not being swept properly, it was dirty under the balcony chairs, also in the master bedroom there was a box of old buffalo chicken wings under the bead, we found it on the last day of our stay. The sink was leaking but as long as you replace the full bucket of water it won't overflow LOL. It was one of the best vacations we've had, the only reason why I wouldn't recommend the condo is bc it needs a rehab, If the owner was able to spend less money on running their rental I think they would have. Fix the sink, get an actual set of utensils, plates and glasses that match, get a broom that isn't 10 years old.
But on the other hand if it rents at the current condition why butter..."

"2022 Family Vacation
We were pleased with this unit, it was in a great location and it had a wonderful view.I have to admit that I was a bit skeptical about renting this condo due it looking a bit outdated. This condo could definitely use some updating. Overall it was very clean and it had everything we needed to make our stay feel like home. My family stayed in the condo next door and it was beautifully decorated with a more updated style and great furniture. "

"Family Vacation
A large extended family of 14 people. We rented three condos on the 2nd floor of Island Princess July 23-30, 2022.
The Brooks and Shorey rental process and phone app worked great. Timely information. Used the app to request repair of a toilet and rec'd a rapid response.
The Island Princess is not a deluxe building. The one swimming pool is too small for a busy July property. The surf was pure seaweed during all 7 days of our vacation. As a result the pool was overcrowded and hard to tolerate very long. We opted to rent pontoon boats from The Beach Weekend marina and spend two days in the clear water of Crab Island. Island Princess needs to improve the daily maintenance schedule so community trash cans are not always overflowing.
Condo #202 is very worn and needs updating. Old furniture. Stained carpet. The beds & pillows are cheap and barely tolerable. The condo has zero amenities: no beach towels, no bedroom waste baskets, no extra hangers, etc... The guest room does not have a ceiling fan, so purchased a table fan at TARGET.
At $478 per night, this "Motel 6 level" condo is waaaay overpriced. We'll return to the Ft Walton Beach area, but we would not return to condo 202 or the Island Princess."

"A good stay, overall
Overall, our stay was delightful and a wonderful break from work. The location is fabulous, the beach service is convenient, and the property itself is lovely. Brooks and Shorey did an excellent job with communication and accommodation; the office staff was able to get us into our unit a bit early when our travel schedule went much smoother than anticipated.
Unit 202 is bright, clean, and everything worked. More detergents and paper products were provided than anticipated from the rental agreement, and having groceries delivered from the closest Publix as was recommended by the Brooks and Shorey office staff was easy and convenient.
The issues we had were not the fault of our rental company, nor an issue with our unit specifically. What I would recommend keeping in mind when looking to chose a property like this is there are units owned by multiple rental companies as well as private residents. So no rental company has complete control over your experience and satisfaction. For example, our weekdays were unpleasantly loud by about 8:30-9am; it sounded like the unit above us was getting new flooring. That is not the fault of our rental company, nor is anyone going to ask that this be stopped because a vacation renter complained. We also had noise and unpleasant smells from smoking of various substances in the unit below our balcony. Again, this is not an issue Brooks and Shorey could have done anything about.
We enjoyed our vacation and would happily consider returning. We may see if Brooks and Shorey has units available a bit closer to the Okaloosa Boardwalk, but we also really enjoyed the general quiet of this property."

"Great Family Condo
Location can't be beat! The view is so beautiful and condo is very near covered parking and elevator. Some things in the condo could use freshening up - carpet, pillows, etc. But overall, everything worked well and was perfectly usable. We will tell our friends about IP for sure.

"Great Location and staff
Needs updating but any issues were handled very promptly. Be careful with little ones around the electric sockets. I was burned using one to vacuum. The ones outside do not work and the light on the balcony doesn't work. Overall great experience just condo needs some updates. The complex itself needs to put in some type of ramp going to the best that is as easily accessed as the one with stairs. Anyone with any handicap or older guest have a hard time climbing all the steps going and coming from the beach. "

"Wonderful unit in a nice community
My family had a wonderful stay in this unit. My wife and I have three children ranging from 3-9 years old and this condo had plenty of space for the whole family. The kitchen was well stocked with every utensil we needed to cook our own meals and the beach access was just as described. "

Property and room were very nice. A few days the pool area was loud and crowded. The hot tub is very small. The free beach chairs are a great bonus! Stewby's restaurant down the street is an AWESOME place to eat!! It has the best food!"

"Above average, but not 4.5 stars
Pros: Excellent location; great view from the balcony and master bedroom; unit was very clean (aside from wear and tear described below); extremely easy booking process and key-less entry system
Cons: the unit is fairly outdated and in need of some upgrades - the top kitchen drawer with utensils is being held together with polyfiller that wasn't discretely applied; at least 2 pantry shelves were broken on the left side; master bathtub was fairly dingy - the showerhead and the drain area in particular.
Overall, we enjoyed or stay, but I wouldn't rush back to this particular unit unless some upgrades were made. The areas mentioned above are not a matter of preference (e.g. granite countertops vs. laminate) but just basic maintenance that seems to have been overlooked for some time. I think this is a 3.5 to 4.0 rating (due to location, views and overall cleanliness), but definitely not a 4+ rating."

"Sisterhood
Each year my sister and I come to the Island to real the peace and beauty it has to offer. We each usually ask one of our daughters or friends to come along on our adventure. It's always the same reaction from everyone. They just stand on the balcony and gasp at the beauty before them. This year was no exception we had a blast. Each night we had an activity for our souls on the beach. We painted shells to leave for other guests to enjoy, painted t-shirts using water guns, let paper lanterns go in the air as we made wishes, and so many other things. We also went to Morrison State Park where we swam in the clear fresh waters. Our condo is always ready and any needs we have addressed. I couldn't be more happy with Brooks and Shorey. They always amaze us with their rentals. We look forward to coming back in the fall. To take all the beautiful words and sum them up for what we get out of coming would have to be enjoying God's Blessings."

"Unit 202 Awesome
This unit is a great location with an awesome view This is a lower level unit but you can still see the ocean over the dunes. It is definitely a larger unit than previous ones we have rented in this area. The unit was clean but dated. If I owned this property I would give it good coat of paint, change curtains and replace carpet in the bedrooms with wood tile. Carpet and sand and wet do not go well together. Couch also needs updated. Otherwise we were very happy with this property. I would stay here again."

"Great service but dirty Condo .
We sure loved our stay here. Everything from booking, to check in, check out and the stay. However, our one big frustration was how dirty our condo was. The floors, the rugs, the bathroom drawers, etc all felt extremely dirty. We still loved our stay, but it would have helped SO MUCH to feel like it was clean enough to sit on the couches and walk barefoot around the condo. "

"Firecracker stay
My children and grandchildren all stayed here for the 4 th holiday. My best friend and her family were in another unit. The stay was very pleasant. Everything we needed was here. Only problem we had was someone was always in our assigned parking. We menentioned to office and they said they didn't manage our property so call directly. There was plenty of parking so we just parked in another unreserved spot. "

"Perfect for us
We have stayed in this unit for our spring break for 1 years. It is always clean and has all the items we need to be comfortable. For us the closeness to the stairs and walkway to beach is perfect. "Great Beach Stay
IP 202 provided everything we needed for quick getaway to the beach. We enjoyed the location of the condo as we could easily walk to the beach avoiding elevators but we were also removed from the pool area (which got fairly loud in the evenings--we didn't mind the noise, just glad we could sit on the balcony somewhat removed from pool area). Overall, a great quick trip!"

"Great location. Right on the beach!
I would recommend this property to family and friends, IF the master bedroom mattress was replaced. It is long overdue! Did not get one night of restful sleep. The description of the property included laundry soap to do a few loads. We called the property management to have the items delivered. However, it never came. Would have been nice to have a couple of chairs to relax on the beach. We have had these provided in the past.
Now the good stuff. This is a great location, steps away from the white sugary sandy beach. A pier is walking distance from the condo. We saw a large sea turtle and many large fish from the pier. Destin was less than 12 minutes away. Parking is easily accessible from the condo. A great set up. The condo was clean and had plenty of room. The kitchen was very spacious. Great condo, please replace the mattress. "

Second floor condo was perfect. Very short walk for the kids to go to and from the beach by themselves. The condo was very clean and roomy with a well stocked kitchen for cooking. Washer and dryer a must have for me. Well located for shopping and dining out. Great vacation spot. "

The view was beautiful. The inside of condo needs TLC: walls need cleaning or painting, cabinet knob feel off in my hand when opened, smoke detector went off because batteries needed replacing (all repaired during our stay, except wall touch ups) and reservation staff would NOT provide us ONE blow dryer. I was told that blow dryers grow legs and walk away, so they do not provide them. I thought this was very archaic. On a positive note, we enjoyed the complimentary beach chairs and umbrella and movies. The Gulf of Mexico was dense with sea weed (of course this was an act of God, but made for an unpleasant beach experience)."

Our stay at this unit was excellent;
convenient to beach access, clean, abundant towels,
w/d, clean kitchen accommodations, cheery decor, clean
beach, friendly family oriented beach clientele.
The condo complex maintenance workers were friendly too.
Our only suggestion is for maintenance to clean the condo floors
a little more thoroughly, and purchase a firmer sofa bed mattress.
We would easily return to this unit.
