Cancellations to any reservation results in forfeiture of $200.00 advance rent deposit. Changes to the booking have to be made Thirty (30) days prior to arrival for Short Term reservations. Sixty (60) days prior to arrival for Monthly reservations. Once final balance is paid there are NO REFUNDS due to cancellation. If you have purchased Travel Insurance with CSA you would need to contact them with questions regarding claims.1-866-4018

Full payment is due fourteen (14) prior to arrival for SHORT TERM reservations. Please make payments in the form of traveler's checks, bank money orders, cashier’s checks, or a personal check if not we will bill your credit card on file for these charges.

"Overall it was great as usual.
El Matador is one of our favorite places to stay. Safe and clean is never an issue. However, this unit could use some updating and had constant problems with the television keeping a strong signal. This was really annoying. Logan was extremely easy to work with and addressed all our concerns."

This was our first time in 424. We have been to el matador many times. Slight odor in unit. Kitchen not well stocked. Very few utensils. Furniture outdated. Recliner would not come down without brutal force. Bed comfortable. Shower updated which was nice. "

"Always great at the beach
We always have a great experience with (nearly 25 years). The staff is friendly, helpful and always willing to make your stay comfortable. As far as the unit we stayed in, EM 424, it’s in dire need of updating but it was clean. The shower was amazing! It’s a good location being close to the pool and beach and the free beach service is a bonus. One thing to note about that unit and I was very disappointed about was...no hangers in the closet!!! At least there was some drawer space but no hangers was a first! We also were there at a very busy time during fall breaks (which we won’t do again) and had a hard time sitting on the patio a couple nights due to the strong smell of weed! It even came in through our bathroom vents a couple times. Lesson learned, We should’ve complained about the weed smell so it could be investigated as recreational is not legal in Florida. There are a lot of nicer, remodeled units in the El Matador for the same money. Still a great visit to our favorite vacation spot to relax! "

"Overall great for the price
Location was great. Loved having a security guard. Overall the condo was good. Needs updates and a few things fixed. The patio furniture had something to be desired. The chairs, if you want to call them that, were made of pvc piping and one was broke. "

"Wonderful location, clean but very outdated
This is a wonderful location. Both the complex and the unit are in beautiful spot right on the beach front.

The unit itself was extremely outdated. Furniture at the beach can be funky, but the bed was downright uncomfortable.

The only other avoidable issue was that the ice maker wasn't working our entire stay. I had to remember to run to the Tom Thumb for ice the day before so we could have ice on the beach. That seems like something that could have been checked prior to check-in.

The unit was well cleaned and I'd definitely book it again, but would really like an update bed and ice maker. I can deal with funky furniture. I even find it charming."

The property is very clean with a great view overlooking the pool and ocean. It’s a short walk to the beach. We chose this property bc it’s the last one on the strip before miles off undeveloped beach and were able to avoid crowds. Austin with the Realtor Company was a gem to talk and very helpful. Loved it."

"Something Smelled Fishy !
We haves stayed at El Matador many times and this unit was less than up to our expectations . When we arrived there was a very strong smell of fish in the unit that we were unable to get rid of no matter what we tried . The decor is very outdated and reminded me more of a stuffy attorneys office instead of a beach front condo as advertised . The unit was clean and served it’s purpose as we spend majority of our week outside . During check in I was reminded that it was a “holiday weekend so be careful not to lock yourself out and that if I could wait till Tuesday after the holiday to request any maintenance “ . I would not rent this unit again .

"It was okay...
I've stayed at the El Matador 5 times including this time. Every other time the apartment has exceeded expectations. The positives: the bed was the BEST. The shower was outstanding.
The negatives: a bit too much furniture in the bedroom/excessively crowded for no reason. The smell which was probably tied to the rotting ceiling that was crumbling in a few areas.
Lastly, we brought a motorcycle. At first we fit it in the SAME parking spot with our vehicle. Security knocks on the door and makes us move it to the front. We oblige. The next day, we are getting ready to go out for a ride, my partner takes off for an hour ahead of me while I get ready. He comes back to pick me up there long enough to knock on the door, come in and put my shoes on. Security knocks on the door. "Move the bike" Well, we're leaving so... we leave. Get back and park the bike up front. Someone knocks on the door once I'm back and I'm thinking WHAT?! It was just UPS with a package for the apartment owner. But jeez on the parking police."

"Very nice stay.
We had a great time at El Matador. The condo was clean and well kept. Rental staff was friendly. Only issue was the wifi didn't work which bummed out 11 year old out. We plan on going back next year. "
