"Girls Week Getaway a Success! We will return!
This property is very well maintained, clean, & comfortable. The description is accurate regarding the amenities and how easy it is to get to activities.
Daily, long walks on the beach were amazing. The Boardwalk at Okaloosa Island is about a 1.5 mile walk via the beach. A great way to start the day!
The kitchen was well stocked, there were plenty of clean bath towels available, plenty of hangers in the closets, as well as a hairdryer in each bathroom.
We will definitely use this same unit again when we return for another reunion. We loved it!
For future guests, just be aware this isn’t the type of rental that has spices & oils available for cooking. You need to purchase all of that as well as dishwasher & laundry soap if you plan on doing more than a load of each.
We were fortunate enough to meet the owner of the property and tell her in person how much we loved her place and how well she has kept it updated over the years.

Unit was nicely remodeled and equipped. We would consider location again . Siding glass door and handle needs some attention. Difficult to open and close. The beach service needs some coaching about customer service and who is the the customer. We raised our umbrella up about foot so we wouldn’t hit our head. The young man came over and told us his boss told him he had to lower the umbrella. What?"

503 was absolutely awesome. It’s the first rental that was the cleanest and best stocked! Heather left nothing to be cleaned. This person is an absolute pro at her job. Thank you heather!!! I wanted for nothing when it came to kitchen utensils and appliances!!! We had plenty of towels for our stay. The condo itself is perfect with upgrades wise choices for comfort and decor. We will definitely want this rental in the future. Brooks and Shorey are the best managers!!! They are always a delight to speak to and always on to of any issues. "Always a Great Getaway
We've been staying at Gulfside for 20+ years. It's always relaxing and enjoyable. Love the ocean views, the rooftop pool, easy access to the beach and ratio of beach to occupant.
One issue we did have was another occupant in 103 smoking on the balcony. I'm not sure if that's allowed, but it limited our use of our balcony due to the smell. Also, one of the occupants of Dune Pointe on the first floor played loud music all day and into the night (past 11 p.m.) The pool filter wasn't running for some reason and the water needed it. A little buggy."

I hesitate to review this because I don't want to have a problem rebooking our next stay here. We LOVE this condo. We were there early/mid-May 2021 and 2022. This is a clean, updated, and nicely equipped oceanfront condo with views that can't be beat! I could just live on the balcony but the beach is easy access with two chairs and and umbrella ready for your lounging pleasure from about 9-4 each day. The longest part of your journey to the beach from the unit is getting down the five stories to the ground then a short boardwalk ushers you onto the sugar like sand for a total transit of 2-3 minutes tops. There are maybe 18 units in the whole building and so it has never felt crowded during our two stays here on the beach or in the elevator/stairs of the building. Book it but please just don't take our dates! "

Location great! Unit very spacious & comfortable. Loved the large, wrap-around balcony. Floors could have used a little more attention prior to our arrival. I understand it is hard to keep beach floors spotless, tho, but my socks were black. Internet service was interrupted daily. It was the whole building, not just our unit. But overall, we were very comfortable and satisfied. I would give it a 4 and will recommend this to someone who is interested next year."

"Perfect Size and Location
The corner unit was a great size for our family of four and we all felt we could find a quiet spot for ourselves when needed. Loved the location right on the beach so we could assess the crowds, if any. Also really loved the style and design - modern, updated and coastal. Only downside was it could have used a couple more runs with the vacuum and more detailed cleaning. There were several dust bunnies, a food wrapper under a bed and old crumbs in the kitchen. In the time of COVID, this made me thankful we brought some of our own cleaning supplies. "

The condo was recently renovated apparently, and they did a great job. Very nice and comfortable.
Views from the large balcony of the ocean are just what I wanted, and the beach itself is relatively quite with the added bonus of chairs and umbrella provided. Everything else is a short drive away. We will definitely come back here to stay."

Very comfortable and spacious living and bedrooms. Very well decorated with matching colours and beach theme pattern throughout. The guest bath was twice as large as the master bath. Although the master bath was connected to a dressing room area with double sinks, the tub/shower combo was soo tight with the toilet in there too. But this really didn't affect my stay. My family will definitely consider this condo and location again later when we return to Ft. Walton."

The bathrooms were updated very nicely but the kitchen was in bad shape.
Cabinets were very old and falling apart . The kitchen dishes, cooking utensils, etc. were old and very used. I speak from experience because we had a rental on the beach and kept everything up to date. The worst thing was the weak WiFi

This place is great. The condo is very nice. It has a great balcony with a perfect view of the gulf. The pool on the roof is great and relaxing. With 2 small condos on each side makes this a great place to stay. It’s not too crowded on the beach due to less people can stay at these three condos. "

This was our first time staying in a 2 bedroom in Gulfside. We had our daughter and son-n-law with us for the first time, so it was 5 of us all together and it was wonderful. Plenty of room and it had all the cooking utensils and appliances that we needed. Loved the nice toaster over so we didn't have to heat up the big oven for little things. We will definetly be back. If you want to sit on the patio and look directly at the beautiful sand and water then this place is perfect. On the positive side, it is roomy, clean, steps to the beach and included two chairs and an umbrella from the beach service. Communication was great from the rental company and we were very comfortable there. On the negative side, it’s older and could use some freshening up. Also didn’t like that we had to bring a hair dryer- seems like a basic item you shouldn’t have to use precious suitcase room for. I’m originally from this area and know that traffic can be challenging getting to restaurants and stores, but I would absolutely stay here again. It felt inviting and had a lot of space. Note: we didn’t really cook but there seemed to be all the essentials."

This is the 2nd time we've stayed at Gulfside 503 and we cant say enough about it!! We love the corner view, the condo is huge and we can pack light because there is a washer / dryer. The rooms are big and the condo is beautiful. My 8 year old loves the rooftop pool and during the time when we vacation, there is usually no one there but us, so she thinks it's all hers! We love having chairs and an umbrella on the beach that come with the condo - it's so nice to not have to rush down in the morning to stake your claim like most places! This will probably not be the last time we stay here ;)"

"Needs a face lift
This unit needs to be completely updated. The appliances need to be replaced too. I felt like I was living in 1989. The handle on the oven door came off when we opened it. Molding around a mirror in the bathroom had come off. Maintaince man taped in back up. Floor tile was worn out with holes and scuff marks. There wasn't any pride in the unit. Wouldn't stay there again and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. "

I will be completely honet tho-the unit photographs better than it is in person, although I would stay there again in a pinch. Missed having the master bedroom on the ocean side; kitchen tile was chipped and sofas had some unsightly stains. The unit is well laid out otherwise tho and management was amazingly prompt when the iron didn't work and the toilets wouldn't flush--fixed within minutes, seriously! The pool on the roof--awesome! "

The condo building was in a perfect location , beach was steps away and you don't have to go walk far to be at the beach and with the umbrella and beach chairs set up all you need to bring is yourself and sunscreen . The only problem I had though is the wifi which was too slow. But overall our stay was great! Also the extra bathroom did not have a shower that was working just a bath tub."

This condo has a nice view of the beach and water...that is all this condo has going for it.The kitchen cabinets are very nasty and need to be cleaned. The master bath tub area is a joke. Linens were old and the pictures look good but the bowling alley all was rediculous.The supplies was nill to nothing...and the garbage trash compactor was just gross. This condo is NOT worth the price we paid. I could go on and on but what does it matter."

Great complex and wonderful unit! The only complaint is one that occurs each year - the beach service attendants start taking up the chairs and umbrellas every day at 3:00 pm!! Since they only set up at 8:00 am, it seems that they should leave the set ups until at least 5:00 pm. "

"1st Florida Beach Trip

"Fall Vacation
Going during the off season is fun for our family because the beaches are rather empty and none of us like to swim that much, anyway. The property was great and had a great view. The furniture (bed frames) may use a few replacements here and there, but it was overall clean. The bathrooms have very low sinks and toilets, for some reason. The rooftop pool is great, but the outside breezeways on each floor between the doors and the elevator get sandy/wet really easily and you will track all the dirt/water/sand into the condo. Would recommend flipflops for walking around indoors.

We enjoy Gulfside in general because of the nice size of the condo, the fact that there are fewer people on the beach because of fewer condos in the building, and because of the great pool on the roof. "Great location but some issues
We had a great time on our first family trip to destin however there were several pros and one big con to this property. Location was great,access to the beach could not of been better. With two very small kiddos it was so nice to have beach chairs and umbrella set up each day. Beaches were beautiful and never crowded. It was great to sit out on porch each evening and enjoy site and sounds of the ocean. The roof top pool was fantastic as well. The biggest disappointment to the property was how dirty it was upon arrival. Floors were horribly dirty, all "clean" sheets to all beds had to be changed due to hair and dirt. Bathrooms were a site as well. We really are not "that family" that complains about things, actually we are very laid back about things but this was not acceptable. We needed up cleaning the property ourselves upon arrival. We contacted the management company upon leaving just to let the owners know that they may need to find a new cleaning service. If this issue has been resolved we would return. "

"Easter weekend @ Gulfside
Our family have been staying at gulfside a couple of other times and we have always had a good experience. I would say that unit 503 has been our best unit so far. I was disappointed though with the lack of wifi availability from our room. To get wifi, I had to connect with other public locations that were not secured and weak signal. I highly recommend wifi for the unit. For a family that has kids with their ipod touch, ipads and lap tops wifi is a must! "

"Beautiful beaches
Beautiful white sand beaches that were kept VERY clean. A slightly older building but was tastefully decorated and with lots of room. Loved the balcony and loved the rooftop pool. Would come back again."

We stayed five nights at this condo and enjoyed everything about it. The view from the wrap-around balcony was awesome, easy access to the beach, very clean and loved the layout of the rooms and had everything we needed. Loved the pool on the roof. The
property management company was very good to work with. Look forward to staying there again.

"My daughters wedding at Ft Walton Beach..
We really were lucky to get the condo at the Gulfside. It was perfect!! Having 503 made our stay so special. The last time I had taken my Mom to the beach we had stayed in that unit...that was her last trip to be made on this earth to the beach. We felt like she was right there with us. Also, our condo was the perfect one for my husband to walk my daughter out to meet her future husband, with it being a corner unit, and I honestly believe that the Gulf side has the perfect area on the beach for a wedding. It has so much space and the least amount of people to uproot. All in all I have to give this stay a 100. Brooks and Shorey were fantastic to work thru in setting this up. We have never enjoyed our stay more!!! Thank u Brooks and Shorey for all your hard work!! Sincerely the Lewis Family."

This was the second time we have stayed at Gulfside 503. It has an excellent view of the Gulf from the balcony. The condo has very easy access to the beach as well. The condo was very clean, spacious and has everything a family could want. I would rent it again!!!"

My Mom, husband, and I visited your wonderful condo on Memorial Day weekend, 2011. We had the BEST time!!!! The view is amazing...Nothing beats the corner balcony - Except maybe your awesome rooftop pool! I got some wonderful photos which I plan to share on your B & S facebook page. The condo was great, the view excellent!! The only issue that we had was the movie rental place was down at the end of the street in front of Fudpuckers, normally movies would not have been an issue but both of my children got too much sun and were in the room one day. Another was that I had paid for two additional chairs on the beach and had to take two from a nearby umbrella to be haggled by the sub guy that afternoon. All in all I would definitely stay at this condo again!! "

We really enjoyed our stay. The condo was everything we had hoped it would be. The area was wonderful and everything is so close. We will be back. I do offer one suggestion: that there were no cleaning supplied in the condo. I purchased windex and clorox spray and lysol wipes for general everyday cleaning. There was a large vacumn but a small hard floor vacumn and a decent mop would have been nice. When I stay in someone elses home I want to treat it as my own and general housekeeping is important over the course of a week.

"Great vacation for first time at Ft. Walton Beach,
Loved being beachside of course but there were no shops or restaurants in reasonable walking distance of the condo. We really have no complaints but if there were any, that would be it. Loved the condo and its size. Also loved the fact that we didnt have to pay for beach chairs and umbrella. Have always had to pay for them before if we used them at other condos. "

Please do not post this comment. There were a few problems. The garbage disposal and dish washer smelled like a dead rat. Dishes in the cabinets were dirty with food and bugs. I had to wash all dishes before we used them. Someone came to fix the garbage disposal but the smell was still there. Besides that, I liked the condo and LOVED the pool on the roof. I usually stay at the Summerlin but will change to Dune Point for the pool location. Hopefully, the issues we had was not the norm for Dune Point. "
