The condo was very nice. The unit was very clean and well furnished. The ice maker in the fridge was not working which was an inconvenience. Also the towels were a bit worn out and there wasn't that many of them.
Other than those two small things the unit was nice and we had a wonderful time.

"Great place
We've stayed at the Inns 3 times now. We love the location. This one was a little less well stocked than the other two we've stayed in. There were no containers with lids to store leftovers, no foil or saran wrap, for example. If that's the worst thing I can say about a place, it's pretty good! We enjoyed the visit, as usual. "

"Great Condo & Location
This condo and it's amenities were great. Having a two bed, two bath with laundry and kitchen dishes etc was super helpful with kids. The condo was exactly as stated with a view of the gulf/beach and overlooked the wonderful & clean pools. It wasn't very busy or touristy, so we had a peaceful time. I would take more groceries with us next time, as the walmart was 35 minutes away in a not so safe town. There is still plenty of things to do: an aquarium, kayaking/fishing rentals, and a great pizza place across the street. We never had to deal with the rental company - had codes for the gate and door, and everything seemed fairly clean."

"Lovely Beachfront Condo
Enjoyed our stay at this beachfront condo. The spacious oceanfront balcony has access at both the living room and master bedroom with ocean views in both rooms. The 2 bedroom/2 bath unit was perfect for myself, 5 year old daughter and grandma and grandpa. Loved the low crowd levels of the island, even in July. Across the street were a BBQ place, ice cream and shaved ice place, & pizza place & next to those were a couple of souvenir shops. Great location and views!!!"

"Great Vacation Getaway!!!
My family have vacationed at The Inn for four summers now.. We had a fantastic time. The condo is centrally located in Dauphin Island making it extremely convenient to everything. The condo was super clean, new, sparkling and bright. The Inn Beachfront Rentals was a pleasure every single time and truly enjoyed their promptness and kindness all throughout. We sincerely enjoyed our stay and highly recommend."

"Management was Poor
We had an incident with bugs in the middle of the night, but had no way of getting ahold of management. We then drove for an hour to find anywhere else to stay at 2 in the morning. The next morning they told us they looked and didn’t see any bugs and could spray and we could come back. We did not feel comfortable with this situation and they refused to refund any of the money. When I questioned them about the refund they decided to turn it around like something was my fault. We paid for 3 nights and got to stay a total of 5 hours. The entire management situation was very poor in our experience. "

Our room was clean and inviting. The views were amazing. Only thing I would change is the living room couch, not comfy at all. Also, more balcony furniture. This was our 3rd year coming to DI for our annual family vacay, can't wait to visit again."

"I do not reccomend
Where do I start. The only thing this place has is the location on Dauphin Island. Check-in was at 3pm. After calling the property owner 5 or more times without an answer or returned call and calling VRBO 3 times, being on hold almost 4 hours total, I was given the information on how to access the property at about 7pm with a 3pm check-in. FYI you need a gate code and you get the key in the lobby from a drop box. I get to the condo and spend a few minutes trying to unlock the door with the key. The handle doesn't lock, just the deadbolt. I finally get inside to find a very outdated and not so clean property. 2 rolls of toilet paper for a place that can hold 6 people. No body soap or shampoo or dish soap even though you are required to wash and put up your dishes before you leave. Yes not just wash in the dishwasher but also put them up. Hair on the bed sheets and pillows, which I must also strip and wash before I leave. Why do I pay a $125 cleaning fee if I am cleaning. The property hasn't been cleaned and isn't clean. The fake plants have never been dusted, the table and counter had dust and crumbs a over them, everything was covered in dust and needed a good cleaning or just a cleaning. The guest bathtub didn't hardly drain.
On the 3rd day of our stay we came back from the pool to find our door wide open with 2 men working on the doorknob lock. No one was in our condo so it was a surprise to find this. Especially considering I was not notified that anyone would be working on the lock on that day or any day we were staying at the property. This is a massive violation of our privacy! How do I know no one went through my family's things!? This also took some time and delayed us being able to make the ferry so we missed that part of our vacation! "

"Quiet Place
This location is very peaceful. Pros: nice condo. Great location. We did have an early spring break this year, so maybe not many people were out. The people at the front desk of the building were very helpful. Bed was comfortable.
Cons: we had problems with the key, but building maintenance was helpful. One unit’s a/c unit was very loud. Messaged the host thru VRBO and no response(prior to stay about locations of things). Just call the management company. They were helpful. Very little to do here. Nearest grocery is 30 minutes away back on main land. "

"Peaceful family getaway
Dauphin Island was a peaceful getaway that allowed my husband and I and our two teenagers to enjoy an uncrowded beach. We Were able to experience social-distancIng both in our condo building and on the beach, which is exactly what we were looking for. Our condo had great views and enough room for all of us. It is a LONG walk to the beach, but with enough helping hands, it’s not that bad. I highly recommend the condo and Dauphin Island for a remote getaway."

"Unit 309 The Inn Dauphin Island
This was a different year with the beach being closed mid March, so thankful for the pools, especially the heated one. Location of our unit was good, beautiful views of the gulf. The staff was great
and kept us informed.
Our only comment would be that the carpets in our unit were badly in need of cleaning, and the dishwasher was so noisy we decided not to use it. The furniture was fine, the decor needs updating.
Look forward to returning next year.

"So-So
The bed sheets had not been changed. Black hairs throughout. Had to strip and wash sheets before laying down. Jetted tub did not work. Maintenance had to be called. Cool air in bedroom not working. Ceiling fan just barely moved. Yet there is a $50.00 non-fundable maintenance fee. Funny. Seemed like we did all the maintenance after paying over $500.00 for a three day stay. Not impressed. All this reported to front desk with maintenance called the second day. Air not fixed. Jetted tub was. Ceiling fan not fixed. Not even a sorry about that for the dirty sheets still on the bed. Very unhappy with our stay there and will NOT recommend this place to someone else without some kind of compensation for a very disappointing vacation."

"Need a few special touches
Condo was great; however, sofa and chair needs cleaning or replacing and master bedroom carpet needs cleaning. There was food in cabinet, towels were faded and old. First look impressive but the little things could be improved. We had a great vacation and plan to return in the near future. Will probably request a different unit."

"Read the fine print...Not a hotel experience
The rates will double with damage waiver and cleaning fees(add $150), and you will end up doing most of the cleaning. You are asked to strip the beds, gather towels, do the dishes, take garbage to dumpster, and start a load of laundry before you leave. All with the threat of extra cleaning fees if you do not. So with no damages and me doing 90% of the cleaning why the $150? I had to get up 2 Hours before my 5am departure to accomplice everything on the list. Also smoke alarm was going off when I checked in and the front desk gave me four batteries and told me I might as well replace all batteries in the unit. Not great. Nice view from balcony and unit was clean enough when we arrived."

"DI Vacation
This condo is just okay. We've stayed at better condos at The Inn over the last few years. There was no table on the balcony. We missed eating breakfast and lunch out there. Very disappointed. Also, the towels are tiny. We are not big people but it took at least two towels to dry off. Kitchen utensils, pots, pans could use updating. I bought brownie mix but couldn't make brownies because there was no pan to use. We won't stay here again...there are nicer condos at The Inn."

"Long time guest
I have been coming to stay at The Inn since it opened, and I am very partial to it for sentimental reasons as well as it being the perfect family location. This unit tho was less than par, the bath towels were barely big enough to wrap around a toddler and older than I am. The bed linens were okay, but could definitely use some updating. The room was clean enough to stay in, but when we left it was cleaner than we when we arrived. Even tho we took the time to actually wash all of the linens and sweep the floors, we were still charged an extra $100 cleaning fee. I asked for pictures of what was wrong and it was marks on the wall that had been there. Love The Inn, but they definitely need to hire more reliable, trust worthy staff. The owner of the condo also needs to put some time and money in their property to bring it back to the standard The Inn has always been at. "

"Daulphin island is my utopia
Love the ease of renting and not having to deal with a bunch of folks we came in at a crazy late time and left at a crazy early time. Plenty of instructions of what was expected. Clean! Well outfitted. Safe. And most of all secluded area. With nothing to do but chill!"

"Family Friendly
Our family enjoyed our 4 night/5 day stay at this cozy condo in Dauphin Island, AL. We visit the Island every summer, and it was our first time staying at The Inn. It is a short walk to the beautiful beach! The beach is clean and perfect for little ones. Our 1 and 4 year old loved the beach and the two pools The Inn offers. We will definitely be back! "

"We love Dauphin Island!
Our accommodations were as described. Very well kept property with great customer service. Two large pools to choose from. Centrally located with quick access to restaurants, gift shops & grocery store. We have stayed here multiple times and even in peek season the beach is never crowded. It adds to the low key relaxed atmosphere one should experience while at the beach. My only suggestion would be if you have bad knees to request a condo with ADA toilets. The ones in our room were not even standard height & with bad knees it makes it difficult."

"The Palm Tree Experience
This condo is lovely and includes all the amenities of home. The view of the gulf is priceless from the 3rd floor and is walking distance from local shops and restraunts. There is alot of furniture in small places that creates the need to move things around a bit to navigate the rooms and perhaps replacing the existing TV with a larger flat screen TV would also enhance the condo. "

"DI getaway
Before I booked our getaway, I did what all of you are doing, research. Let me say that if someone gave away a Mil $, some troll would find something to gripe about. If you want peace, a time of joy, and to unplug from busyness, you are looking at a great place. If you want commercialized and crowded, go somewhere else. Everything you need is here, except some local shop owner may dare to remember your name and say hello. If this property bothers you, then you need a longer vacation than you think. This property, the room, the environment, and the people were great. "

"Great Vacation
We had a wonderful time during our stay @ Dauphin Island. The relaxing, laid back atmosphere was fantastic. Fishing, swimming, site seeing was our agenda for the week. we were never on a schedule so we just moved about when we felt the need to do so.Other than a couple issues spare bathroom toilet being loose, the electric grill had a short in the cord, our stay was prefect. neither of these items hampered our stay and when I told the property manager about it, he said he would fix it. Thank you Tim and all the staff at the Inn. I assume the sea turtle eggs have hatched and my only regret is that i didn't stay longer to watch them. See ya next year."

We enjoyed our stay on Dauphin Island. I did stay at The Inn on Dauphin Island last year with a few of my cousins and I did recommend it to my friends. We found the condo clean, but recommend that the two TV's need to be updated to flat screen's and a third one added to the second bedroom. We did ask for a few more comfortable chairs for the balcony, and a table would also be nice on the balcony. "

"Unit #309 review
The location of this unit is very desirable. We have been going to The Inn for 7 years. Overall it has been a pleasant experience - except when it comes to food preparation. The utensils, pots, pans and serving dishes are woefully inadequate. I have had to purchase suitable it4ems which I have left in this unit for others to use. Cleaning supplies are not provided. No clothes, sponges, cleansers, hand soap in the kitchen. Also there is little shelf space for groceries in the kitchen. The sofa could stand to be replaced. Our negative comments apply to unit #309 only. The guest toilet stool has been unstable (it rocks) for over a year in spite of requests to repair it."

"A Great Find for a Snowbird from Upstate New York
We were originally concerned about the remoteness of Dauphin Island but once we became settled in was not a problem. We loved having the dedicated bike path right out front of the condo. Only complaint was that there is no sheltered place to store bikes downstairs at the condo. We had to move them up to our 3rd floor room to get them out of the rain. The deck of the condo faced directly south. It was sheltered from the winds from the North/East/West. The sun just baked in all afternoon. Not a problem in February but maybe uncomfortable in July. We were there for MARDI GRAS. We enjoyed a parade on Dauphin Island and went into downtown Mobile for two night parades. The parades are very family friendly and we had a blast. Enjoyed our stay so much we booked another snowbird experience for next year. "

"Great Stay
Everything was clean and in working order. We looked at previous reviews and took a good teflon skillet for eggs. Staff was pleasant and cordial. I called en route to tell them we would be later than planned and they put the keys in the late arrival box. If your goal is to get away from hectic life this is the answer. I highly recommend the stay feel the pools could have been maintained a little better but still no real complaint. "

"Overall - a good stay
We enjoyed our stay at the condo (very quiet and relaxing), but it wasn't perfect. They did not leave a key at the desk as should have been done for after-hours check-in. We called a local employee and they hurried out with a key. They were very gracious. It looks like the sheets were not changed on one of the beds - we washed them ourselves - and the floor needed vacuuming and the patio door needed cleaning for a good view. The staff were very pleasant and helpful although they seem to have some logistical issues. Furnishings were nice. All in all, it was a good stay."
