"Good stay but room for improvement
Our room at the Inn was clean, accommodated our needs, and had a great beach!
The negatives: I did not receive the room code but the security guard was able to get it. They provide 2 rolls of TP, 1 roll of paper towels, small amounts of dish soap, hand soap and laundry detergent. It would’ve been better to provide enough for the week. The master bedroom sliding door did not slide properly and would not open. As it turns out, it also did not lock, so I was thankful it was not in working order. Both of which need to be fixed. This particular unit doesn’t have a view of the beach but that is clearly pictured. There is a long walk to the beach because the building sits back so far. About half the walk is on a boardwalk and the rest is through sand. One day, the sand was too hot to walk on barefoot so I suggest carrying your shoes with you in case it gets hot while you are sitting at the beach. We were able to login to our streaming services on the TVs in the master and living rooms. But not the kids’ room. However our Netflix account wouldn’t recognize what I know to be our correct login. There is a bar-height table on the patio but the chairs need to be replaced- it’s still nice to sit out there. Ideally, they would have a couple regular height chairs too. The positives: this unit has 3 individual beds which worked well for the 3 adult kids in our party. The pools are a good size and refreshing when you don’t want to walk out to the beach or get sandy. There is a sandbar that really protects the water in front of the Inn. It makes for calmer waters and a great place to sit or play. You can always go out further for better waves. The unit has books, a decent DVD collection and player, some games, and some seasonings. There was enough seating for our party in the living room and dining table. The AC worked well and having a washer/dryer is great.

"Memorable Spring Break
We had a last minute vacation change and a friend recommended Dauphin Island, AL. I had never heard of it, but started to research. In the end, we stayed four nights at the Inn at Dauphin Island. My teen girls declared it the best location. The location on the beach and near wonderful restaurants was perfect. The condo was clean and comfortable. Definitely have been recommending this spot to friends for beach trips."

"Best Beach Location
The Inn is our favorite condo rental on the Island. The view is stunning. My girls love the heated pool. No matter what time of year we go they are in the pool. Unit 103 is their favorite so far but we’ve had great experiences with every room. All of the condo units are spacious, clean and comfortable. We go to Dauphin Island so much now we’re hoping to make it home. We love the Island restaurants but the seafood favorite is Captain Snappers. Beach walls are the best. Swimming is best right straight out your door but for seashells head to West End Beach. You can literally walk for miles along the coast or along the bay. The Bird Sanctuary is an area everyone must walk. There are so many trails through the forest and several take you out to the beach. The boardwalk out in the lake is a favorite and we see alligator almost every time. The Island and the Inn are quiet and relaxing with a few souvenir shops but if you need a day of shopping take the ferry over to Gulf Shores. It leaves the Island several times a day. The ride is about 30 minutes and sometimes you see dolphins. The management at the Inn are the best! If you need anything at all they will do their best."

"Perfect location! Nice condo!
The rental was in a great location. Close enough to everything and not too far from anything. Our condo was a perfect spot in the complex being on the main floor right by the pool for our kids. The beach deck was only feet away. We didn’t have the best view but we only needed to walk a little to see the ocean well. It didn’t bother us. The perks of being close to the pool overweighed that. You could still easily here the waves especially during the storm. The condo itself was equipped with everything to get you started. Two of everything roughly. The condo could definitely use a spring cleaning as the walls were pretty dirty in areas like the kitchen and bathrooms, but it wasn’t terrible. The most frustrating part was that I was not informed the the complex is gated with a code. We came in later on a Saturday night and couldn’t grt ahold of the PM so had to call which was able to contact someone quickly but that was a pain when you just drove 9 long hours with 3 kids and 2 being teens! The rest of the checkin was simple."

"Great Location for Birding
Property location was a plus for birding on the gulf-side beach and was also a short drive to other locations on the island and in neighboring communities. The condo itself could use come deep cleaning. maintenance and upgrades. For example, all large appliances were noisy, kitchen faucet leaked, patio slider screen was off the track, and there was visible dirt in corners on the floors. None of these needed immediate attention during our stay so we left a list for staff upon our departure. We also did not interact much with staff, but everyone we did talk with onsite was super friendly and helpful. "

"Wonderful Time
We had such a relaxing and wonderful time. The location of this unit is perfect. Even though it’s ground level you can still see the gulf, and the pool is only a few steps away from your gate. I personally think that this unit lacked basic cleaning. If it were cleaner I’d say it’s a perfect place to stay! Staff is amazing! "

"Great Location
We are a family of six and stayed here for 11 nights. The place was very comfortable, clean, and roomy. The beachy decor is very cute and the kitchen was well stocked. Located on the first floor, the unit's patio is right next to the pool - making it perfect for my kids to swim every evening. The walk to the beach from the complex is very easy and the island itself is a wonderful getaway spot. "

"Clean, cozy, beachy, and convenient place to stay
I booked this condo for my Mom and I to getaway for a few days for a nice "girl" trip. Neither of us had ever been to Dauphin Island and lets just say it was one of the best EVER! The condo was perfect! We stayed in unit 103 and it was so clean, decorated so cute and the owner thinks of everything you could possibly need from a first aid kit to seasonings for cooking. The island has so much natural beauty, from the white sandy beaches, beautiful sunsets and allows you to experience this without all the hustle of a big touristy town! Check out the local restaurants, Pirates, SKINNER's (fresh seafood) and the local bakery, Lighthouse Bakery for some yummy danishes & cinnamon rolls. "

"Five Star
This was our first stay here at the Inn at Dauphin Island and it will definitely not be our last. The condo was perfect and it felt like our home away from home.We had a wonderful time staying there and being wright at the beach made it even better. Can't wait till next time . "

"Family Friendly
We were very happy with The Inn at Dauphin Island! The staff is very helpful and courteous, the prices are affordable, and the location is great. Our family stayed in unit 103. This unit could use some updated furniture. The king mattress had a large hole in it that you would sink into. Otherwise everything was wonderful. We would definitely stay at The Inn again, but personally I would not stay in this unit again unless the mattress had been replaced. "

"A Perfect Socially Distanced Vacation
I'm so happy we went with a first floor rental. We were able to walk right into the pool area and head to the beach. This made it so much easier with the kids.
We did all of our meals there, and didn't have to venture out to restaurants.
The only complaint is the dryer. It makes a super loud and annoying sound. Sounds like a belt needs replacing.

"Management needs a course in etiquitte!
The condo dishwasher didnt work and tub missing safety valve over suction and took in my hair. Good other than that. Grass mowed and grass blown all over the patio, office worker in blue truck about took out my doors with kids gearing into vehicle to back into his parking spot and never even acknowledged us. Took all I had to be the better person. Check in and out was way less than friendly, like we were a bother. Will not stay here again or recommend. "

"Best Condo All Around
My family recently stayed at this unit for Fall Break. We have stayed at 2 other units at this same facility and we ALL liked this one the best! My kids fought over the top bunk bed but slept equally as well in the other guest beds. They had their own TV to watch and their own bathroom they actually liked (as opposed to some showers that spray ridiculously too hard at this facility) . The Master bedroom was great as well. The night stands are the neatest things I have ever seen....very unique! I liked the tile floors (bc carpet is weird at the beach) and we were right by the pool. There were tons of board games and books to read which was a great plus! The condo was well stocked except I couldn't find many washcloths....I did find a few in the kitchen that looked like bathroom washcloths instead of dish towels. ?? We really enjoyed our stay for the price and will come back again!"

"Loved the hometown feel!
I am from a small town, and when I booked this stay, I was immediately impressed with the service. Once we checked in, everyone we met made it feel like we were back home. I loved the heated pool, especially since it was a little chilly while we were visiting! The room was everything I hoped it would be, very clean, maintained, and much like our own weekend home. We met some locals who told some island secrets that made our stay even more enjoyable. We will definitely be back!"

"Fun on the beach
We had a great time. We loved the condo and the easy access to the beach and pool. A couple of things that could be improved... 1. The bunk bed in one of the bedrooms was extremely squeaky. We bought some wd40 and tried it but it didn't help. We ended up just squeezing into other beds so that nobody had to sleep on it. It was only the top bunk. When someone moved on the top bunk everybody in the condo could hear it. 2. The sliding glass door in the bedroom would not lock. If it did we couldn't figure out how. We were a little nervous at night sleeping with that door unlocked. 3. Finally, it would be very helpful if there was some way to lock the glass doors from the outside so that you can lick your room when everyone goes to the beach. Not sure if that is possible but it would be nice. Our stay was extremely relaxing, enjoyable, and fun and we would definitely stay again in the future! "

Nice room. Had everything you might need for a comfortable stay. The mattress in the master bedroom isn’t great but that is really our only complaint. Conveniently located next to pool with nice upgrades. "
