It fit our family of 3 just right. Kitchen is stocked with plenty of cooking utensils, pans, and even air fryer, toaster oven, pressure cooker! Complex was very clean. All guests were quite courteous. Always room at one of the pools, and easy walk to the beach"

"Nice, Relaxing Visit
My husband and I stayed here recently and were very pleased with this property (Inn 206). The one bedroom would be perfect for any couple, or parents with small children. Everything you need is there besides groceries. Bring your own beach chairs/toys. It is a small condo, but fit our needs perfectly. We loved the decorations and tile work, having a washer/dryer is so convenient. The boardwalk is long for some, but the 3 minute walk didn't bother us at all. It was quiet during our visit, no issues at all. The mattress will need replaced pretty soon, but it wasn't anything to complain about. We're thankful for the time away and another amazing visit to Dauphin Island. If you want peace and beach time- go visit immediately."

We had a wonderful time. With just the two of us the rooms were just right! The dining table could have been removed because the eat in kitchen counter was the best. our only wish was that the ocean be a little closer. We had a morning view with our coffee, but it would have been nice. Thank you to the condo owners, it was perfect. The Property Management company was ease to work with and very informative. We will be back!

"My first trip to Dauphin Island
Looking for a getaway vacation I remembered how much my friend loved this place. Dauphin Island it is. I told my wife. Checking for rentals for 2 people I stumbled into The Inn. It looked like what we were looking for and what we needed. The cost seemed affordable and good. The reservation process was very easy. We arrived after hours and got access to the parking with the code provided without any problems. The key with all the information was easily accessible as instructed. I only had a small problem with the front door lock and needed couple of tries to open the door. The unit was as advertised. It had everything we needed for this vacation; bed for 2, appliances and nice furniture. It even had a bunk bed for extra guests which we didn’t need. The view of the ocean was awesome. The short walk to the beach was very nice. The unit was clean and well maintained. We did not have any issues with the unit or the place. Location is awesome. This was the perfect place for relax low key chill vacations. If you plan to visit Dauphin Island look The Inn up. You will not be disappointed."

Traveled from Missouri, check in was good, we stayed in 206, which I felt was very dated beside new appliances and counter tops, everything else was very worn, our bed was hard as a rock, both lounge chairs on our deck were broken we couldn’t even enjoy sitting outside, living room furniture is very dated and broke in, plan on bringing your own toilet paper too you only get 1 roll, and besides cleaning before you leave you also pay 115$ cleaning fee"

"Great little condo!
This condo was perfect for an elderly married couple. Only one flight of stairs up and elevator available. Check-in was easy. The view was great with a private boardwalk to the beach. The decor was fantastic (see mosaic in the living room floor). It's right on the main street so it's easy to get anywhere. We would highly recommend. Note: a number of restaurants apparently did not survive the pandemic and are permanently closed. The restaurants on the island could not service all of the tourists so you need to plan to use the well-appointed kitchen for some of your meals. Also, bring your own toilet paper; the management company provides thin, rough toilet paper like you find in third-world countries. In spite of that, we still give this unit 5 stars."

Was very enjoyable. Management was very nice and helpful. Lighthouse bakery was wonderful but need to get there early. Playing miniature golf and fishing from the pier was a highlite for me and something grandson wanted to do. Easy to find way around. Reel Deal and Pirates were very good places to eat. First time visiting and would come back."

"Love Dauphin Island...
Love the Island, loved the condo & facilities... have to admit we’ll stay with a different owner when we return. Room 206 was very clean and beautifully decorated BUT probably the most inhospitable rental we’ve used. There were signs everywhere not to rearrange the furniture... I imagine we werent the first renters to find it cramped and overly cluttered. You couldn’t recline in the chairs because of the folding screen & huge wagon coffee table. You can’t sit at the table because of how the chairs were arranged against the wall/ fireplace. You couldn’t see the fireplace because of the cafe table. The sliding barn doors are gorgeous but obscure the view of the ocean from the room—because of the folding screen and other furniture they didn’t open all the way. There are signs to be careful with the countertops. Signs not to use dryer sheets—which is an absolute tragedy because the sheets and towels are painfully in need of fabric softener! Definitely bring your own linens & washcloths/towels! Only three washcloths in the condo the week we stayed. Fingers crossed that our usual place at Sandcastle is ready when we go back in October!!!"

"Nice relaxing get-a-way for a couple
We loved this one bedroom condo the view from the balcony was perfect!!The kitchen was lovely with new granite countertops and new appliances and had plenty of dishes,cups, glasses , utencils and cookware. Having the bath and 1/2 was nice for us. Plenty of linens and bath towels. Nice washer/dryer. The decor was very "beachy" and was fine for a vacation spot. The condo building has an elevator which was nice for getting all our "gear" in and out of the condo, they even had carts in the lobby to use!
I only had two negatives:
1. the washer even on a "cold" setting washed in HOT, had color bled on a pair of panties (glad it wasn't a nice shirt, load was all dark colors)
2. the furniture, though clean, was very uncomfortable, the recliners on the love seat did not work. Later reread reviews and this was mentioned by other guest back to 2018.
I would book again or recommend this to others, the view and access to the beach make it worth it even with a couple negative. Chris + Jon (Marion Ohio)

"Much needed
Relaxing. Much needed vacation. Clean. Loved sliding screen door, didn't use it due to it being so hot, but would be great for spring or fall, when it's cooler. LOVED the massage chair. Kitchen had everything you could possibly need. Perfect place for social distancing for healthcare worker during pandemic . Wish I could have stayed longer.
Negatives - one restaurant workers were not wearing face masks and when we wanted to order takeout they said they were not doing takeout orders. "

"Week long vacation stay
I have stayed at the Inn on two occasions and as for as the Inn goes I was very pleased with the property and it's management. Clean and beautiful grounds. Pools were excellent and clean. I will definitely stay here again. As for the condo unit itself, No Thanks!.. Beautifully decorated in terms of beach fashion however, Dusty, Moldy smelling. The furniture needs updating for sure. Also please update balcony furniture as well. Very miserably uncomfortable for a weeks stay."

My family and i had a great time at the Inn. We did have a problem with the a/c it shut down on us two times. fist time i let the front desk know and after maintenance check the unit it was "fine". Then mid week at 4am we woke up hot and the Condo was 78 degrees. I did not report to the office for them to tell me it checks fine. I shut the unit off and back on the worked the rest of the week. We would defiantly come back and try out another unit. "

"Great room but needs new furniture!
We had a great time at The Inn at Dauphin Island. The staff was friendly. They attended to our every issue. Nothing was majorly wrong. However, the owner of the condo needs to attend to new furniture. It would be beneficial to replace the broker electric recliner chair and the broken reclining sofa with a sofa bed. Also the bed which is queen size and okay, needs a new mattress or a good mattress pad. We felt like we were sleeping on a concrete slab. Other than that we will visit again but pick a different unit. "

"Review of our March 2019 week
The rental unit was just right for our needs. It was highly furnished with everything we would need, including plenty of appliances, towels and linens, and maybe a bit too much on the balcony. The balcony chairs were awesome and the elevated fish table was wonderful. We loved the boardwalk over the dunes and the view from the balcony. Enjoyed the pool, loved the beach. The manager was very friendly and helpful and full of information about the island. The unit needs some dusting in the furnace, air vents, and lamp shades. The 3 ring information binder needs updating and replacement. Instructions for the fireplace would be helpful. Overall, we loved our experience and plan to return in the future. "

"Great Vacation spot!
This is a great condo to stay at on Dauphin Island. We have stayed there 3 times now. The condo is relatively quiet... the beach is very nice... a lot of white sand, and usually not too crowded. We were a little disappointed because when we arrived on the Island (before check in time), we called the Inn and informed them that we were on the Island and that we were going to the west end public beach to hang out until the room was ready. The person said that they would call us as soon as our room was ready. After a few hours on the west end beach, we decided to go to the Inn and carry our tent and chairs on down to the beach while we continued to wait for the room. When we passed by the front desk we told the person what we were doing. He said that was fine, but then said, "your room in ready if you just want to check in first"... this was a little disappointing, as we never did receive the phone call informing us our room was ready. Not sure how long we waited unnecessarily. One other bad experience was from the previous year... we left some fairly cheap fishing gear at our tent overnight... the next morning it was gone, and our chairs and tent had been rummaged through. This is in no way the fault or responsibility of The Inn. I only mention it so others can be aware... we have stayed at many other beaches and never had anything of value touched when we left it overnight. A lesson leanred for us, and we no longer anything we care about overnight. Overall it's a solid place to stay, and we will go back for sure. "

We got in on Thursday afternoon.Picked up the key and went to our room. It was first room next to the elevator which was nice because my sister walks with a cane. The condo was exceptional. "A vacation with NATE
The condo unit was exactly as it was pictured and described. It was clean when we arrived. Just a little much on air freshener. The management was extremely helpful and kind in getting ready for NATE’S arrival. They brought in the outside furniture and battened down the shutters. They offered help asked if we needed anything. They drove us back after taking our car to the high spot, then brought us out to get our car. During our stay the final sunset concert was held at Fort Gaines. The estuarium was fascinating as was the self guided tour of Fort Gaines. Two weeks was not nearly enough time to spend at such a special place. Already making plans to return. "

The condo was beautiful but small. Decorations in every room. Even a massage chair in living room. It was a very relaxing condo. Only complaint we had is the front desk lady was rude! She looked very unhappy be working we arrived a little early she kept looking at the clock. My husband had to take a work call right at check in so that's why we were early. We like vrbo when you work through an induvidual this wasn't a true vrbo because you worked through a company. They need to work in her people skills! "

The over all facility was very nice. Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate for some of our stay. The only issue was the décor of the condo. The curtains were not tastefully done and the décor was over the top. There was to much furniture in the living area that felt crammed into a small space. No space to walk without bumping into the furniture. The curtains made the small room dark and they looked like a circus tent."

Love this area and this particular condo. Second year in a row to stay at this facility. My only complaint about this unit is the bedding. The bedding on the master bed was very musty and mildew smelling. To the point I had to take it off the bed and put it in the closet to get rid of the odor. "

its a very nice location, however, their charges were $90 per night = $270 for our 3 nite stay, we were charged fees, all non-refundable and the total was $529.00, which included $50, damage waiver fee, processing fee of $45, $30 for taxes and $85 for cleaning, however, in their instructions to guests, we were to clean and put away all dishes and take linens off bed and from bath and put in washing machine area or we would be charged an additional fee. So basically all the cleaners had to do was vacuum and make up the bed. Also, I misplaced my glasses and asked if "found" would they please mail them to me. Well, they did and charged me $20 service fee and $7 postage. Upon leaving and looking for my glasses, we moved the sofa and found soda bottles and other trash."

"Home way from home
Very relaxing and refreshing. Clean well maintained. Quiet at night able to sleep hardly any noise from other units. Beautiful beach area and pool. In past reviews, others had mentioned a loud air conditioning unit when on the balcony. It really wasn't that loud and we spent very little time on the balconey because we were on the beach instead. Definitely would stay here again.

Everything was as shown. Condo and property were clean and well taken care of. Bonus was the elevator and the heated pool since it was so early in spring. The condo had everything you would every need to enjoy your stay! Only problem was the air-conditioning unit for the downstairs office area was right below our patio and was extremely noisy; especially when it was cycling off. Hopefully, that problem will be corrected."

Great trip, great condo. This condo was better equipped with pots/pans/ice etc than any I've stayed in the last 20 yrs. The bed was comfortable, the views from patio beautiful. Visited the fort, parks, sea aquarium and took the ferry ride. There are good restaurants on the island."

"Beautiful beach!
The property we stayed at was clean and nicely arranged. All appliances worked well, except for the DVD player (we only found this out after renting a movie). It was lovely having access to a full kitchen while we were there. The beach is gorgeous, never too crowded. My only issue was the work being done on the property while we stayed. I had hoped to spend any time at the apartment on the nice deck, but the drilling, sawing and beeping was very disruptive, meaning we had to keep the door closed anytime we were in the apartment. Workers were replacing gutters, which involved a lift being used that made an awful, disruptive beeping sound off and on from 9 am-5 pm four of the seven days we were there. It also required the heated pool being inaccessible for those days (management told us we could use the pool next door, but it was not as clean and smaller). Overall, it was a lovely vacation, and I would consider renting at this property again, but only with assurance that work would not be done during my stay. I have a very limited budget, only allowing me to vacation very occasionally, and I want to get the most for my money!"

"Relaxing stay on Dauphin Island
We booked 4 nights and should have made it 5. There is a beautiful view of the beach from the balcony and easy acces to the beach. My wife and enjoy bicycle riding and did not use the car one time after we picked up groceries. The condo was very well kept."

"A Week Away
This was a wonderful place to just be able to get away from it all. We were looking for a place to just enjoy the sun and the beach. We truly found it here. Because the vacation session had just ended there were not many people on vacation. The condo was just the right size for the 2 of us and the view from the balcony was just fantastic.
I was surprised by the water I was expecting the blue water that i see at other locations of the gulf.
The light house bakery was WONDERFUL they have the best pastries and their coffee is good too."

"Love Dauphin Island!
everything about this condo was perfect except for an outside air conditioning unit that was louder than the sound of the ocean. Sitting on the balcony was awesome when unit wasn't running. This unit has everything possible you would need & more! Not sure about a hair dryer but I took mine so didn't think to look. The management was very friendly, helpful & professional! It was a great week! pirate's Pleasure had the best food & they were the friendliest too! "

"Winter Beach Escape
Quick 3-day escape in February. Loved the view. Even had an up-close visit from a Blue Heron right on the deck!
Shower pressure could have been better but I loved cooking with the Wolfgang Puck's! "

"Baby's First Beach Trip!
We wanted to take our son to the beach but didn't want to deal with tourist attractions and crowds. We wanted to build sand castles, see some nature, and eat seafood. The Inn at Dauphin Island was perfect! He loved the nautical bunk bed and we were pleasantly surprised at the full kitchen and cozy condo. It was adorably decorated and made our son's first beach trip something we will always remember fondly. Staff was friendly. Condo was nice. Beach was clean. Pools were well maintained. Great experience! Thank you for playing a part in what will hopefully become a long standing tradition for our family."

"The Inn at D.I. #206 - November 2013
We hadn't been to D.I. in over 20 years and were looking forward to seeing it again. We had rented houses before and renting a condominium was new for us. It was a great experience. The staff at The Inn were outstanding - very professional and graciuos. The condo was very comfortable and clean. Hopefully, we will be back next year. If so, we will definitely rent at The Inn.
