5-the unit was lovely and comfortable. It was perfect for our family. Being on the first floor with acces from the patio was very convenient.
0-the mosquitoes were horrendous! I live on a farm and we don't have mosquitoes that bad. Pest control finally sprayed on Thursday which helped.
0-3 different owners were very rude toward us. It is very apparent some owners resent guests in the rental units. We stayed on our children to make sure they behaved. It was over petty things. We made every effort to follow the rules. It was very uncomfortable.
0-while we followed the rules, others did not! Older teens woke me 2 consecutive nights around 3 am running by our unit.
Almost every night we were unable to sit outside because of the smell of was very pungent. I guess owners don't mind that. It put us in an awkward position, having to explain to the 10 to 12 year old that we didn't have any influence on people's illegal behavior. And it made us keep the kids close to us.
5-proximity to the pool was perfect for our kids.
0-loooong walk to the beach was a chore! Not something you have any control over. If I had realized how far we had to walk to the beach, I would have stayed somewhere else with better beach access.
And the water was more murky than I expected. We typically stay in Fort Morgan. I didn't expect there to be that much of a difference.
Overall, the children had a terrific time, running between our 3 separate rooms, which is why we were there.
But I wouldn't recommend it to other families."

"Girls trip 2024
We loved our rental! Comfortable and clean. We had a blast. A nice walk to the beach but beautiful. This was our 2nd year there but different rental. Looking forward to coming back. "

"Great Stay!
Kind of a last minute reservation, but very happy with the Inn! First floor unit was awesome for the kids, and my husband who just broke his ankle a few months back. We loved the location of The Inn and will definitely recommend it to our friends and family!"

"Excellent Condo - will stay here again!
I've been coming to DI my whole life, and The Inn is my favorite place to stay. All of the condos are great, but we absolutely loved staying in 101 this time. Being on the first floor is so convenient for unpacking and packing. Plus, it's steps away from the pool!
The space is very nicely decorated with modern finishes to help with comfort, however the king bed in the main bedroom was really uncomfortable (too saggy - could use a different mattress topper/replace mattress). The beds in the 2nd bedroom were all perfect though, and there was ample seating at the dining table and the living room.
I would absolutely stay here again."

"October 2023 stay at the INN
They have a fairly new system? Had wrong gate code . But spoke to a person and entrance was resolved. Arrived I. The room and found several cleaning issues . But with all the issues the persons I spoke to was very accommodating? We have visited here for years. And this was disappointing? But they ask me what I thought was fair and I requested cleaning fee reimbersment which was promptly refunded. Normally it is exceptional! With the hiccups we had I would recommend this place! It is older and normally very clean. The island is quaint and laid back. I would recommend everyone to visit . Again an older place but always updated the INN really is a jewel! Again "

"Quiet family beach trip
Check-in and check-out went very smoothly. Location is remote and peaceful. It reminded me of beach trips as a kid (40-50 yrs ago). Recommend bringing your own food as restaurants are sparse. I used a charcoal grill near the pool."

"Family vacation
The room was better than expected. The only issue we had was in the master bathroom the spout to turn on the shower head damaged upon arrival on Monday. Even after letting front desk know the morning after it never got repaired as of Friday. Beyond that it was a magnificent place to stay."

When we arrived and i noticed that the coffee table handle was broken and lying on the floor. The next morning i went to use the garbage disposal and all of the water backed up into the sink. I notified front desk and was told maintenance was gone till monday and they would come in. Therefore i put dishes in dishwasher and went to beach. Upon arrival back to condo i found water from dishwasher everywhere and had to mop entire floor along with trying to find a pot to rewash dirty dishes. I was discouraged. I went to front desk which stated closed till monday. I knew maintenance was to come fix garbage disposal so i added this to list and left on sink monday. When i arrived back monday evening nothing was fixed. Very disappointing. Put kids into tub which i thought was to have jets and jets didnt work. I was checking out Tues so i waited till then and discussed each issue directly with manager. Manager was extremely nice and explained that he would get someone in immediately and fix all issues. Even though these are minor i was grateful that manager made good on his end. Overall unit just needs some TLC. Will come back again"

"Second trip to Dauphin Island
The condo was beautifully decorated with a splash of fun. Fully equipped kitchen with a wonderful selection of "bar" accessories. The only complaint we had was the mattresses on the bed. With all the attention to detail this was left out. We will definitely stay at The Inn again but hope to stay on a higher floor for a better view. Staff was excellent and the gated entrance is great. "

"Beautiful place to stay
This condo was perfect for my kids and me to get away for a vacation. It was beautiful, clean & comfortable & had everything we needed. The one we stayed in was close enough to the pool, but far enough to not be bothered by noise. We didn't have an electric grill on our patio, but we were directly across from the charcoal grill which made it convenient for grilling out.
It's a little bit of a walk over the boardwalk to the beach, but not too bad. Only difficult when carrying a lot of things. I saw other people with wagons, carrying their stuff & that's definitely the way to go if you have room to pack one.
Other than the sliding glass door being difficult and not being able to get 2 ceiling fans working, it was perfect! No major complaints here!! Would definitely recommend this place & will definitely stay again if we plan another trip to Dauphin Island. "

"Lil bit of Paradise
As we arrived to the condo as a late check in, we easily found the envelope left by the great front desk staff. The condo was beautiful. The King bed slept so nicely.. did not feel like an overused cheap mattress, it was supportive and nice. The sheets were fair. Plenty of towels throughout, they were nice.
The kitchen was beautiful on the surface, however the pans left a bit to be desired. The cooking pans ought to be upgraded to match the rest of this beautiful place. The saving grace to the thin burned frying pans was finding an iron skillet buried in the back of the cabinet.
Ice machine didn't work, had to go buy ice to make frosty adult beverages.
The time spent in the condo was special and meaningful and the slight drawbacks were minimal. A beautiful place to stay!! "

"Vacation
The stay was great, location was great but had some issues getting into our room when arrived as a late arrival, had to call several times to call center then they had to contact manager to come let us in room. Also bedding was not clean. Bed sheets were but pillow shams and comforter had dried blood on them which was very unsanitary. "

"Wonderful Vacation!
This was the first time I stayed at anything other than a hotel and it was great. I only gave 4 stars for condition because the screen door was off the track (they fixed immediately) and the dryer was missing a knob to set temp. I am already looking for another place to rent for next year!1"

"Disappointment turns to delight
We booked (or thought we booked) a second floor condo at the Inn on Dauphin Island, but ended up in a first floor unit. Initially we were disappointed because first floor units rarely have a waterfront view. Still, the condo ended up being perfect for a long weekend with our grandson, who immediately found 'his' bedroom: a wonderful space clearly designed for little boys. "
